bjective To analyze the growth trends of height and weight among primary and secondary school students, and explore the developmental characteristics and gender differences at different age groups, and to provide a scientific basis for adolescent health policy formulation. Methods Based on 675 175 health examination records of 227 978 students aged 6-17 years in Shiyan City from 2015 to 2024, a logistic growth model was employed to fit the curves of height and weight changes with age. Results From 2015 to 2024, height and weight showed steady increases across all age groups, exhibiting typical sigmoidal growth patterns. The growth rates varied across age groups: the younger age group (6-9 years) showed a moderate growth (annual height increase of 0.5-1.0 cm, weight increase of 0.03-0.06 kg/year), while the older age group (10-17 years) demonstrated a significant growth (annual height increase of 1.5-2.0 cm, weight increase of 0.22-0.38 kg/year). The growth rate curves displayed a unimodal distribution. The growth inflection points of male students occurred later than that of female students (height inflection point: 9.87 years for males vs. 8.98 years for females; weight inflection point: 10.70 years for males vs. 9.99 years for females). Female students experienced a more concentrated but shorter period of growth and development. The peak height growth rate was 7.40 cm/year at age 9 for females and 7.09 cm/year at age 10 for males, while the peak weight growth rate was 5.04 kg/year at age 10 for females and 5.27 kg/year at age 11 for males. Conclusion The physical development of primary and secondary school students in Shiyan City follows a logistic growth pattern, with significant gender differences and characteristics of adolescent growth spurts. Female students exhibit an earlier and more concentrated growth process.

Objective: To retrospectively analyze the supply and demand of RhD-negative red blood cell (RBC) components, explore the dynamic changes in clinical demand and application trends of RhD-negative RBC products, and provide evidence for optimizing the preparation and supply management of various RhD-negative RBCs products. Methods: The total supply of RBCs and the demand and supply of RhD-negative RBC products from 2021 to 2025 were retrieved from the information management system. The trend chi-square test was performed using SPSS 22.0 statistical software to analyze the annual supply rate and repeat reservation rate of RhD-negative RBC products. Meanwhile, the clinical transfusion indications for RhD-negative RBC products in 2025 were further analyzed. Results: From 2021 to 2025, the supply rate of RhD-negative RBC products gradually increased from 0.42% (1 904.5 U/448 787 U) to 0.48% (1945U/402088.5U), showing an upward trend across years (P<0.05). The actual demand and supply of RhD-negative RBC products remained balanced, while the repeat reservation rate increased significantly from 29.73% (804 U/2 704 U) to 43.62% (1 505 U/3 450 U), showing an upward trend year by year (P<0.05). Fresh RhD-negative RBC products accounted for 87.09% (8 270 U/9 495.5 U) of the total supply, while RhD-negative frozen RBC products accounted for 12.91% (1 225.5 U/9 495.5 U). In 2025, therapeutic transfusion, elective surgery (including obstetric transfusion), and emergency transfusion accounted for 55.40% (1 077.5 U/1 945 U), 38.56% (750 U/1 945 U), and 6.04% (117.5 U/1 945 U) of the total supply of RhD-negative RBC products, respectively. RhD-negative frozen RBC products accounted for 67.23% (79 U/117.5 U) of emergency use and 29.47% (221 U/750 U) of elective surgery (including obstetrics) use; fresh RhD-negative RBC suspensions accounted for 93.92% (1 012 U/1 077.5 U) of therapeutic use and 70.56% (529 U/750 U) of elective surgery (including obstetrics) use. In recent years, RhD-negative washed RBC products and concentrated washed RBC products have been introduced as new products, and their clinical utilization has shown an increasing trend. Conclusion: Despite a decline in total blood collection volume, the security management system of RhD-negative RBC components in Guangzhou Blood Center has functioned largely meeting clinical demand. Advances in hospital technology had led to the routine application of RhD-negative concentrated washed RBCs. It is recommended that concentrated washed RBCs should be standardized with a formal definition and corresponding national quality standards should be established.

Lung cancer constitutes the most prevalent and lethal malignant tumor in China. Approximately 85% of lung cancer diagnoses correspond to the non-small cell histological subtype [non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)]. Despite surgery being the mainstay for early-stage disease, postoperative recurrence remains high and adjuvant chemotherapy offers limited benefit. In recent years, targeted therapy has demonstrated substantial advantages in driver mutation-positive NSCLC. To this end, the Lung Cancer Medical Education Committee of the Chinese Medical Education Association developed guidelines based on a systematic review of evidence through November 2025, using the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations (GRADE) approach and a modified Delphi method. Focusing on epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), and addressing ROS proto-oncogene 1 (ROS1), B-Raf proto-oncogene serine/threonine kinase (BRAF) V600E mutation, and mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (MET) exon 14 (METex14) skipping, the guideline covers molecular testing, neoadjuvant/adjuvant therapy, perioperative strategies, minimal residual disease monitoring, and postoperative surveillance. It defines testing requirements, specifies stage-directed and subtype-specific treatments, and standardizes minimal residual disease monitoring. These recommendations emphasize precision and feasibility to improve survival and quality of life.

Objective To explore the application value of improving the operation method of the coaxial microcatheter system to increase the recanalization rate of long-segment occluded blood vessels in the lower extremity arteries.Methods Eleven patients with long-segment occlusion of the lower extremity arteries were selected.Firstly,the angiographic catheter was sent to about 3-4 cm proximal to the occluded segment to provide support and direction control of the coaxial microcatheter system.Then,the microcathe-ter was sent to about 1 cm proximal to the occluded segment through the angiographic catheter,and the microguide wire was sent to the occluded segment,making the tip of the guide wire closely adhere to the occluded segment.The guide wire was fixed by using the guide wire controller to ensure that the guide wire in the blood vessel was always about 1 cm exposed outside the microcatheter.Meanwhile,the microcatheter and the microguide wire were rotated to make the tip form a"spring"shape similar to that of a pipe-line dredging machine,so that the coaxial microcatheter system could pass through the occluded segment of the blood vessel in this shape.After confirmed that the microcatheter had entered the lumen of the distal outflow tract blood vessel,the subsequent interven-tional treatment was completed according to the conventional method.Results Eleven patients with long-segment occluded blood vessels in the lower extremity arteries were successfully treated with improving the operation method of the coaxial microcatheter system to dredge the occluded segment,and completed the interventional treatment of the affected limb blood vessels without vascu-lar rupture,vascular bleeding or arterial dissection.Conclusion Using the improved operation method of the coaxial microcatheter system to dredge the long-segment occluded blood vessels of the lower extremity arteries is simple,safe and has a high success rate,which is worthy of clinical promotion.

Apical microsurgery is accurate and minimally invasive, produces few complications, and has a success rate of more than 90%. However, due to the lack of awareness and understanding of apical microsurgery by dental general practitioners and even endodontists, many clinical problems remain to be overcome. The consensus has gathered well-known domestic experts to hold a series of special discussions and reached the consensus. This document specifies the indications, contraindications, preoperative preparations, operational procedures, complication prevention measures, and efficacy evaluation of apical microsurgery and is applicable to dentists who perform apical microsurgery after systematic training.

Pulpotomy, which belongs to vital pulp therapy, has become a strategy for managing pulpitis in recent decades. This minimally invasive treatment reflects the recognition of preserving healthy dental pulp and optimizing long-term patient-centered outcomes. Pulpotomy is categorized into partial pulpotomy (PP), the removal of a partial segment of the coronal pulp tissue, and full pulpotomy (FP), the removal of whole coronal pulp, which is followed by applying the biomaterials onto the remaining pulp tissue and ultimately restoring the tooth. Procedural decisions for the amount of pulp tissue removal or retention depend on the diagnostic of pulp vitality, the overall treatment plan, the patient's general health status, and pulp inflammation reassessment during operation. This statement represents the consensus of an expert committee convened by the Society of Cariology and Endodontics, Chinese Stomatological Association. It addresses the current evidence to support the application of pulpotomy as a potential alternative to root canal treatment (RCT) on mature permanent teeth with pulpitis from a biological basis, the development of capping biomaterial, and the diagnostic considerations to evidence-based medicine. This expert statement intends to provide a clinical protocol of pulpotomy, which facilitates practitioners in choosing the optimal procedure and increasing their confidence in this rapidly evolving field.

Ochratoxin A (OTA) is ubiquitous in the food and feed fields. It has strong hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity, seriously threatening the health of humans and animals. Enzymatic degradation of mycotoxins is considered to be a promising method to control mycotoxin contaminations. In this study, a new ochratoxin A amidohydrolase from Microbulbifer thermotolerans (MiADH) was obtained. After heterologous expression in Escherichia coli and purification, the recombinant protein was studied regarding the hydrolysis activity, hydrolysis products, enzymatic properties, and substrate binding mode. MiADH can degrade OTA into ochratoxin α (OTα) and phenylalanine, demonstrating a detoxifying ability. It demonstrated the best performance at 70 ℃ and pH 8.0, and Cu²⁺ had the strongest inhibitory effect on the activity of MiADH. MiADH with good thermal stability exhibited huge potential for industrial application. Rational design guided by three-dimensional structural models and substrate docking analysis revealed the important amino acids affecting substrate binding and obtained multiple mutants with improved activity. Among these mutants, V324A had the highest activity, which was 4.2-fold that of the wild type. The identification of MiADH enriches the ochratoxin A degradation enzyme library and provides a new candidate enzyme for the biological detoxification of ochratoxin A in the food and feed industry.

Objective To investigate the effect of transcutaneous electric acupoint stimulation(TEAS)on stress response and the incidence of postoperative delirium in elderly patients with thyroid cancer after radical surgery under general anesthesia.Methods 62 elderly patients who underwent radical thyroidectomy under general anesthesia in Ganzhou People's Hospital from November 2023 to February 2025 were selected and divided into the TEAS group(T group)and the sham stimulation group(C group)by the random number table method,with 31 cases in each group.Observe the postoperative stress response levels and the occurrence of delirium in two groups of patients.Results The level of postoperative stress response in T group was lower than that in C group(P＜0.05).The incidence of delirium 3 days before operation in T group was lower than that in C group,but there was no statistical difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion TEAS can effectively relieve post-operative stress reaction,stabilize cardiovascular function and improve agitation during extubation in elderly patients with thyroid cancer during recovery from general anesthesia.
