BackgroundIn recent years, the incidence of depression among adolescents has been increasing steadily, posing a serious threat to their physical and mental health and even leading to severe consequences such as self-harm and suicide. At the same time, the detection rate of subclinical depression symptoms among adolescents is even higher. Although these symptoms do not meet the clinical diagnostic criteria, they have significantly affected their quality of life, and their persistence over time may further develop into depression. Therefore, in-depth exploration of adolescent depression symptoms and the predictive factors holds significant practical significance and research value. However, up to now, no large-scale investigation and research on depression symptoms among children and adolescents has been conducted in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. ObjectiveTo understand the prevalence of depressive symptoms among children and adolescents in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in order to provide references for formulating scientific and effective prevention strategies and intervention measures. MethodsBy using the cluster stratified random sampling method, 6 281 students from the third grade of primary school to the second grade of high school in 12 leagues and cities of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region were selected in March 2024. A self-designed questionnaire and the Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) were used for on-site investigation. ResultsA total of 6 058 (96.45%) children and adolescents completed the valid questionnaire survey, and 2 728 cases (45.03%) were found to have depressive symptoms. There were statistically significant differences in the detection rates of depressive symptoms among children and adolescents of different genders, ages, whether they were only children, different family types, family monthly income, parents' educational levels, and whether the mother was employed (χ2=33.769, 40.618, 48.593, 29.972, 142.648, 195.999, 168.190, 5.445, P<0.05 or 0.01).The results of the Logistic regression analysis showed that for children and adolescents, being female, aged between 12 and 16, over 16 years old, not being an only child, living in a reconstituted family, having a monthly family income of less than 5 000 yuan, and having parents with an education level of primary school or below were predictors of depressive symptoms (OR=1.241, 1.427, 1.273, 1.177, 1.549, 1.278, 1.462, 1.417, 1.514, 1.929, 1.660, 1.528, P<0.05 or 0.01). ConclusionThe detection rate of depressive symptoms among children and adolescents in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is relatively high. Factors that may predict depressive symptoms in children and adolescents include female gender, ages between 12 and 16, ages over 16 years old, non-only children, families with a restructured structure, monthly family income of less than 5 000 yuan, and parents with an education level of primary school or below. International Eye Science 2026;26(1):86-90
Compared to other refractive surgeries, the implantable collamer lens(ICL)implantation procedure has become one of the most popular surgical options in refractive surgery. ICL surgery offers advantages such as reversibility, high-definition visual outcomes, and preservation of the corneal anatomical structure. The V4c model, which features a central port, is currently the most widely used in clinical practice and eliminates the need for peripheral iridotomy during the perioperative period. Although excellent uncorrected visual acuity can be achieved postoperatively, some patients may experience visual disturbances in the early postoperative period, such as halo and glare, which may affect visual comfort particularly under low-light conditions. This article reviews visual quality metrics after ICL V4c implantation, including higher-order aberrations(HOA), modulation transfer function(MTF), and contrast sensitivity(CS), along with influencing factors, and discusses potential relative deficits in postoperative visual quality and their underlying mechanisms.

Objective:To investigate the current situation of uncivilized behavior in workplace encountered by nurses in Xianyang City, and analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide a basis for formulating corresponding intervention measures. Methods:In May 2023, convenience sampling was used to investigate the general information, current situation of uncivilized behavior in workplace and coping style of 1310 nurses in 8 secondary and tertiary general hospitals in Xianyang City by using the general information questionnaire, the Chinese version of the Nurse Incivility Scale and the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of uncivilized behavior encountered by nurses. Results:A total of 1285 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective recovery rate of 98.09%. The total score of uncivilized behavior encountered by nurses was (86.41±22.49) points. Among them, the scores of five dimensions were nurses' uncivilized behavior (19.95±4.70) points, patients' uncivilized behavior (23.66±8.96) points, supervisors' uncivilized behavior (13.25±4.87) points, doctors' uncivilized behavior (14.32±5.63) points and colleagues' uncivilized behavior (15.23±4.93) points. The multiple linear regression analysis results showed that the hospital level and coping style were the significant influencing factors of uncivilized behavior in workplace encountered by nurses ( β=0.104, 0.056; P<0.05) . Conclusion:The current situation of uncivilized behavior in workplace encountered by nurses needs to be improved. Hospital managers should focus on coping styles, such as setting up simulation scene exercises, team cooperation training, training and counseling, so as to reduce the uncivilized behavior in workplace encountered by nurses.

Chinese Journal of Pathology 2025;54(9):947-952
Objective:To explore the clinicopathological and molecular genetic characteristics of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-rearranged renal cell carcinoma (RCC), including a rare case with the TPM1-ALK gene subtype. Methods:Three cases of ALK-rearranged RCC diagnosed in the Department of Pathology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China from January 2020 to December 2024 were collected. Their clinical pathological and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data were analyzed. Relevant literature was also reviewed, and follow-ups were carried out. Results:Among the three patients, there were 1 female (case 1) and 2 males (cases 2 and 3), with the ages of 29,41 and 44 years, respectively. All of them were presented with space-occupying renal lesions. Case 1 (KIAA1217-ALK RCC) showed mixed cystic and solid components under the microscope, with tubular, papillary, and cribriform arrangements. The tumor cells had clear boundaries, and were cubic or low columnar, arranged in a single layer, pseudostratified or in sheets. The cytoplasm was abundant and eosinophilic, and part of the cytoplasm was vacuolated, as if there was accumulation of mucoid substances. The tumor cell nuclei were oval with prominent nucleoli. A large amount of mucus and inflammatory cell infiltration were noted in the stroma. Case 2 (TPM1-ALK RCC) showed a papillary growth pattern, with small, slender papillae accompanied by branches. The cells were arranged in a single layer, and the cytoplasm was either eosinophilic or clear. Foamy cells were aggregated in the stroma, accompanied by psammoma body-like calcifications. Case 3 (EML4-ALK RCC) was characterized by papillary and tubulocystic structures. The cytoplasm was abundant and eosinophilic. The tumor cell nuclei were large, with prominent nucleoli. There was conspicuous infiltration of lymphocytes and neutrophils in the fibromuscular stroma. The tumor cells all expressed epithelial markers, PAX8, GATA3, P504s and FH. ALK (5A4) staining showed diffuse strong expression in the cytoplasm, while TFE-3 was positive (nuclear stain) only in case 1 and case 3. The fluorescence in situ hybridization showed that ALK gene rearrangement was present in all three cases, while TFE-3 gene rearrangement/mutation was not detectable in case 1 and case 3. NGS showed the KIAA1217::ALK fusion (the fusion site in the exon 11 of KIAA1217 and exon 18 of ALK) in case 1, the TPM1::ALK fusion (the exon 8 of TPM1 and exon 20 of ALK) in case 2, and the EML4::ALK fusion (the exon 2 region of EML4 and the exon 20 region of ALK) in case 3.Conclusions:ALK-rearranged RCC has unique molecular characteristics. Its histological morphology is easily confused with that of papillary RCC and TFE3-rearranged RCC. Both immunohistochemistry and gene rearrangement tests should be used to confirm the diagnosis.

Objective:To analyze the clinical and genetic features of a child with Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) due to compound heterozygous variants of the CCDC39 gene and a 22q11.21 deletion, and to explore the potential role of the two types of variants in the formation of complex phenotypes. Methods:A child presented at the Shanxi Children′s Hospital in March 2025. due to multiple congenital anomalies was selected as the study subject. Peripheral blood samples were taken from the child and her parents and subjected to whole-exome sequencing (WES). Candidate variants were verified by Sanger sequencing. Effect of splicing variant was predicted using SpliceAI, and pathogenicity was assessed based on the ACMG guidelines. Copy number variation (CNV) analysis was also performed. This study has been approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of the Hospital (Ethics No.: IRB-WZ-2025-019).Results:The patient has exhibited multiple features including severe pneumonia, bronchiectasis, localized pulmonary emphysema, scoliosis, tetralogy of Fallot, and atrial septal defect. Genetic testing revealed that she has harbored compound heterozygous variants of the CCDC39 gene, namely c. 1167+ 1G>A and c. 1009A>T, which were inherited from her father and mother, respectively, with the latter being a novel likely pathogenic variant. In addition, a heterozygous deletion of approximately 708 kb at 22q11.21 was detected. Conclusion:The coexistence of CCDC39 gene variants and a 22q11.21 deletion may underlay the development of complex clinical phenotypes in this child.
