In February 2025, a local cluster outbreak caused by the D8 genotype Measles virus (MV) was first discovered in Henan Province. Epidemiological investigations and laboratory testing were conducted, including the collection of serum and throat swabs for MV IgM antibody and nucleic acid detection, virus isolation and genetic homology analysis. Measures such as close contact tracing, vaccination rate assessment and supplementary immunization activities were implemented, successfully preventing broader community transmission. A total of three cases were reported during the outbreak, including one imported-related adolescent and two secondary local adult cases. All cases presented with typical symptoms such as fever and rash. Both adult cases were complicated by pneumonia, with one case developing into severe pneumonia. MV genotyping showed that the two secondary cases were both the D8 genotype, with the viral sequences being completely homologous to the Kazakhstan strain. Among the close contacts, 98.2% were adults, and 142 individuals received emergency vaccination.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of preserving the urethral ridge during Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate(HoLEP)in preventing postoperative retrograde ejaculation and to evaluate its impact on sexual function. Methods:This prospective cohort study enrolled patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)who underwent HoLEP at Xiamen Haicang Hospital(Haicang Hospital Affiliated to Xiamen Medical College)from November 2022 to June 2024. Inclusion criteria were as follows:diagnosis of BPH confirmed by color Doppler ultrasound;International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS)> 7;maximum urinary flow rate(Q max)< 15 ml/s;prostate-specific antigen(PSA)< 4 ng/ml;and an active sexual life with intact antegrade ejaculation. Exclusion criteria included neurogenic bladder, active urinary tract infection(UTI),and other relevant conditions. Patients were grouped based on the operating surgeon's comprehensive judgment during surgery, considering the degree of prostatic median lobe hyperplasia(preserved if hyperplasia was mild, not preserved if severe). The EP-HoLEP group underwent “tunnel technique” enucleation of the middle lobe hyperplasia with preservation of the urethral ridge, while the HoLEP group underwent conventional prostate enucleation. Primary outcomes included postoperative retrograde ejaculation rate,International Index of Erectile Function(IIEF),Ejaculation Projection Score(EPS),IPSS,Quality of Life Score(QOL),Q max,post-void residual urine volume(PVR),operative time, and postoperative complications. Univariate analysis was used to screen potential influencing factors, followed by multivariate logistic regression to identify independent predictors. Results:Seventy patients with BPH were enrolled, with 35 in each group. Baseline characteristics, including age[(69.97 ± 5.14)years vs.(72.34 ± 5.08)years],body mass index(BMI)[(22.99 ± 1.41)kg/m2 vs.(23.16 ± 1.38)kg/m2],prostate volume[47.4(31.9,59.4)ml vs. 44.2(34.9,61.7)ml],PSA[4.0(1.9,8.2)ng/ml vs. 3.1(2.6,5.0)ng/ml],hemoglobin[(130.09 ± 12.92)g/L vs.(125.69 ± 17.26)g/L],IPSS[17(10,22)vs. 17(10,27)],QOL[5(4,5)vs. 4(4,5)],Q max[7.5(6.3,9.1)ml/s vs. 7.0(5.9,8.9)ml/s]and PVR[65(22,167)ml vs. 60(16,150)ml]showed no statistically significant differences between the two groups( P > 0.05). Operative time[65(55,76)min vs. 63(55,73)min],postoperative 2-hour hemoglobin[(124.17 ± 14.89)g/L vs.(120.11 ± 15.44)g/L],and postoperative hospital stay[(3.94 ± 1.89)days vs.(3.66 ± 1.53)days]were also comparable between the two groups( P > 0.05). No significant difference was observed in the decrease in IIEF score[1(0,2)vs. 2(0,6), P = 0.203]. EPS at 3 months[2(1,3)vs. 1(0,2), P < 0.001]and at 6 months[2(1,2)vs. 1(0,2), P < 0.001]postoperatively were significantly higher in the EP-HoLEP group. The incidence of postoperative UTI did not differ significantly[5.7%(2/35)vs. 2.9%(1/35), P = 1.00]. Two cases of urinary retention occurred after catheter removal in the EP-HoLEP group, while none occurred in the HoLEP group. No blood transfusions or urethral strictures were reported in either group. The incidence of retrograde ejaculation was significantly lower in the EP-HoLEP group[28.6%(10/35)vs. 68.6%(24/35), P <0.001]. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that urethral ridge preservation was an independent protective factor for retrograde ejaculation after HoLEP( OR = 0.159,95% CI 0.053 ? 0.476, P = 0.001). Conclusions:Urethral ridge preservation during HoLEP is safe and feasible, significantly reduces retrograde ejaculation, and preserves ejaculatory function, though it offers limited erectile function preservation. This approach is suitable for middle-aged,young,or younger elderly patients who prioritize ejaculatory quality, and provides clinical evidence for surgical optimization.

The clinical application of chemotherapeutic drugs has been limited due to the lack of tumor selectivity which causes different degrees of adverse reactions. Transferrin receptor(TfR) is one of the targets for tumor targeted drug delivery system because it is over-expressed in many kinds of tumor cells and tumor-associated blood vessels, but is low-expressed in normal cells. By modifying drug carriers or coupling antitumor drugs with ligands that have high specific affinity for TfR, it is expected to achieve targeted therapy of TfR over-expressed tumors. In this paper, the application progress of TfR functional ligands in tumor targeted drug delivery in recent years is summarized, in order to provide reference for the research of TfR targeted drug delivery systems.

Objective Genotypes(G)1,3,and 5 of the Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)have been isolated in China, but the dominant genotype circulating in Chinese coastal areas remains unknown. We searched for G5 JEV-infected cases and attempted to elucidate which JEV genotype was most closely related to human Japanese encephalitis(JE)in the coastal provinces of China. Methods In this study,we collected serum specimens from patients with JE in three coastal provinces of China(Guangdong,Zhejiang, and Shandong)from 2018 to 2020 and conducted JEV cross-neutralization tests against G1,G3,and G5. Results Acute serum specimens from clinically reported JE cases were obtained for laboratory confirmation from hospitals in Shandong(92 patients),Zhejiang(192 patients),and Guangdong(77 patients),China, from 2018 to 2020.Seventy of the 361 serum specimens were laboratory-confirmed to be infected with JEV.Two cases were confirmed to be infected with G1 JEV,32 with G3 JEV,and two with G5 JEV. Conclusion G3 was the primary infection genotype among JE cases with a definite infection genotype, and the infection caused by G5 JEV was confirmed serologically in China.

Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety profile of sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir ± ribavirin (SOF/VEL/VOX±RBV) for salvage treatment of chronic hepatitis C patients who have failed direct-acting antivirals (DAAs).Methods:Patients with chronic hepatitis C who failed DAAs±RBV treatment and were treated in five hospitals in Chongqing, Guangdong, Guizhou, and Guangxi from January 2022 to December 2023 were included in this retrospective study. One or more courses of DAAs±RBV therapy were evaluated for all patients who had been previously treated. Virological rebound occurrence was observed during the follow-up. SOF/VEL/VOX±RBV was used for one course of salvage treatment. Virological and biochemical indicators were analyzed before salvage therapy, post-treatment, and drug discontinuation at 12 weeks. Adverse drug events were recorded during treatment. Data between groups were compared using t-tests or non-parametric tests. Results:A total of 26 cases of chronic hepatitis C who had failed DAAs±RBV were included in this study, with an age of (52.9±9.6) years. Twenty-one cases (80.8%) were male, sixteen (61.5%) had a history of drug abuse, two (7.7%) had combined human immunodeficiency virus infection, and fourteen (53.8%) had combined cirrhosis. The previous DAA regimen of 21 cases (80.8%) included SOF/VEL. The baseline HCV RNA load of salvage treatment was (5.8±1.6) log 10 IU/ml, and 16 cases (61.5%) were genotype 3. All patients completed the 12-week SOF/VEL/VOX±RBV salvage treatment and achieved sustained virological response (SVR) at the end of treatment. All 22 cases were followed up for 12 weeks following treatment completion and attained SVR12, including patients with genotype 3 and cirrhosis. Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) had normalized return rates of 94.1% and 93.8%, respectively, following therapy. ALT, AST, FIB-4 index, APRI, and aPMAP scores were significantly lower than those before treatment ( Z=-3.980, -3.875, -3.461, -3.582, P<0.05). The proportion of patients in the high-risk group of liver cancer dropped (52.6% before treatment and 33.3% after treatment), and more patients were reclassified to medium-and low-risk groups. Two cases (7.7%) experienced nausea and diarrhea, one case (3.8%) had a headache, and one case (3.8%) had fatigue, all of which were well managed during treatment. There were no serious adverse events, deaths, or interruptions of treatment due to adverse reactions. Conclusions:SOF/VEL/VOX is a safe and effective salvage treatment option for chronic hepatitis C patients who have failed DAAs therapy, and may be particularly beneficial to refractory populations infected with genotype 3 and combined with cirrhosis.

ObjectiveTo analyze the mental health status and its influencing factors in middle school students under the regular prevention and control of COVID-19, so as to provide references for the intervention and management of their mental health problems. MethodsFrom March 7 to 21, 2021, a stratified random sampling method was used to select 19 352 students from 17 schools in 3 districts and 9 counties of Linyi City, Shandong Province. Basic data were collected through a self-designed questionnaire. All students completed the Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) to assess their mental health status. Then the factors affecting the mental health status of middle school students were screened using independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA test and multiple stepwise regression analysis. Results① A total of 6 350 (32.81%) middle school students were found to have mental health problems. ② Each SCL-90 factor score and total average score yielded statistical difference among middle school students of different genders, relationships with classmate, closeness to friends, concerns about the epidemic, and pressure exerted by schoolwork (P<0.01). Each SCL-90 factor score and total average score of middle school students were significant different in terms of the hours of smartphone usage for recreation per day, sleep duration per night in hours and exercise frequency (P<0.01). ③ Multiple stepwise regression analysis denoted that female gender, poor relationship with classmate, no close friend and long hours of smartphone usage for recreation were the risk factors for mental health of middle school students (β=0.096, 0.183, 0.064, 0.232, P<0.01). ConclusionThe prevalence rate of mild mental health problems is quite high among middle school students under the regular epidemic prevention and control. Additionally, female gender, poor relationship with classmate, no close friend and long hours of smartphone usage for recreation have a negative impact on middle school students' mental health.
