Objective To explore the expression changes of IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 in childhood obesity and their diagnostic value.Methods Blood samples and corresponding clinical information were collected from patients attending Kunming Children's Hospital from December 2023 and March 2024,and were divided into a control group(healthy children;n=115)and a study group(obese children;n=86).Serum levels of IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 in both groups were measured by using ELISA.Clinical data from both groups were analyzed to assess the correlation between IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 and clinical information,as well as their diagnostic value in childhood obesity.Results Compared to the control group,the study group exhibited a significant increase in weight and BMI(P<0.001)while IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 levels were significantly lower(P<0.05).IGF-1 levels exhibited a negative correlation with total cholesterol,triglycerides,apolipoprotein B,and insulin resistance index(P<0.05),and a positive correlation with apolipoprotein A and fasting insulin(P<0.05);IGFBP-3 displayed the opposite pattern(P<0.05).ROC diagnostic curves indicated that the area under the curve for IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 was 0.598 and 0.665,respectively.Conclusion IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 are expressed at low levels in childhood obesity and are associated with obesity indicators,demonstrating certain diagnostic value.

Objective Taking the medicinal excipient pectin as an example,based on the ICH Q3C risk assessment and management concept,this paper explores the control standards for residual solvents in pectin in the variety text of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.Methods Pectin products from different processes and manufacturers were analyzed,the types of solvent residues in pectin were identified,and the solvent residues of products from different manufacturers were analyzed by gas chromatography.Results According to the product process,there was a risk of residual methanol(class 2),ethanol and isopropanol(class 3)in pectin products.In 18 batches of samples,the residual amount of methanol was measured in the range of 0.05％-0.17％,the residual amount of ethanol was in the range of 0.01％-0.38％,isopropanol was not detected,and the total amount of residual solvents was in the range of 0.07％-0.55％.Conclusions It is suggested that the residual solvent inspection item may not be listed separately in the main text of the pectin standard of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.It is recommended that the manufacturer is required to indicate the name and limit of residual solvents under the labeling item of the standard.

Objective To analyze the changes of vitamin D in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP).Methods 130 children with HSP from Kunming Children's Hospital between July 2022-July 2023 were selected as the study subjects and 100 healthy children were selected during the same period as the control group.The blood samples were collected from the children with HSP and the healthy children.The content of vitamin D was measured by Kunming Kingmed Institute for Clinical Laboratory.Results The content of 25(OH)D in children with HSP was lower than that in healthy children,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The proportion of vitamin D insufficiency in children with HSP was higher than that in healthy children,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion The children with HSP are prone to vitamin D insufficiency.Vitamin D supplementation may provide a new method for the treatment of HSP.

Pan-vascular medicine is an emerging discipline focusing on atherosclerotic diseases,with the concept of multidisciplinary integration,emphasizing on exploring the mechanism of disease development from the whole of the organism's structure and function.At present,the basic mechanism system of pan-vascular diseases has yet to be perfected.The pan-vascular concept is highly compatible with the idea of Chinese medicine that focuses on the overall view.Deficiency of all qi is the root cause of pan-vascular diseases,while phlegm,blood stasis,and water-dampness and other tangible evils stagnate in the veins and channels as the symptoms of the disease,therefore,the disease mechanism can be highly summarized as"stagnation due to qi deficiency".Deficiency leads to the stagnation,blocking the veins and channels,and the deficiency worsens due to the stagnation and then damages the veins and channels,thus,it develops into a disease.Based on the theory of"stagnation due to qi deficiency",this paper takes endothelial cell dysfunction as the entry point of pan-vascular diseases,and considers that low endothelial cell immunity is the initiating factor of pan-vascular diseases,and that the widespread persistence of microinflammatory state is the key pathology to pan-vascular diseases.

Objective To investigate the change of plasma vitamin D, A and E levels in infant with infantile hepatitis syndrome (IHS) and to provide reliable basis for clinical treatment. Methods Seventy-three infant with IHS (IHS group) from January 2015 to May 2016 and 82 cases of physical examination infant (control group) were enrolled in this study.The levels of plasma vitamin D, A and E were tested and compared between two groups. Results The levels of vitamin D, A and E in IHS group were significantly lower than those in control group:(37.871 ± 20.111) nmol/L vs. (97.708 ± 28.827) nmol/L, (1.082 ± 0.657)μmol/L vs. (1.810 ± 0.517)μmol/L, (21.252 ± 7.596)μmol/L vs. (26.647 ± 6.495)μmol/L, P<0.01 or <0.05. The nutritional status of vitamin D, A and E in two groups had significant differences (P<0.01). Conclusions There have obvious deficiency in fat-soluble vitamin D, A and E in infant with HIS , and vitamin D deficiency is the most obvious. The levels of vitamin D, A and E are the dynamic monitoring indicators of treatment, nutritional status evaluation and long-term complications development.

Objective To investigate aspirin resistance (AR) and its related factors in patients with stage 3-4 chronic kidney disease(CKD).Methods The clinical data of 108 patients with stage 3-4CKD from nephrology department in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital were collected (CKD group) ; and 110 age and sex-matched subjects with normal renal function served as control group.Anthropometric parameters,blood biochemistry index,ultrasonography and thromboelastograph (TEG) were examined in both groups; and inhibition ratio of arachidonic acid ＞ 50％ on TEG was defined as AR.Results The incidence of cardio-cerebral vascular disease,the incidence of peripheral vascular disease,ratio of female,the intimamedia thickness (IMT) of carotid artery,the levels of high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP),homocysteine(Hcy),evaluated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) and maximal thrombelastodegree (MA) on TEG in CKD group were significantly higher than those in control group (all P ＜ 0.05),while R value was significantly lower in CKD group.Pearson's correlation analysis revealed that the levels of MA,hsCRP,Hcy,IMT were positively correlated and R value was negatively correlated with eGFR in CKD group.The incidence of AR in CKD group (32.4％) was significantly higher than in control group (20.0％).According to TEG,the patients were divided into AR group (n =35) and aspirin sensitive (AS) group (n =73).The incidence of cardio-cerebral vascular disease,the incidence of peripheral vascular disease,ratio of female,IMT,ratio of diabetes,the levels of hsCRP,Hcy,fasting plasma glucose (FBG),eGFR and MA in AR group were significantly higher than those in AS group (all P ＜ 0.05),while R value was significantly lower in AR group.Binary logistic regressive analysis revealed that the ratio of diabete,FBG,eGFR,hsCRP were independent risk factors for AR in patients with stage 3-4 CKD.Conclusions CKD stage 3-4 is associated with increased ratio of platelet activation and atherosclerosis,and this condition is aggravated while eGFR declining.Incidence of AR is 32.4％ in this group of CKD patients,the independent risk factors of AR in CKD patients are the ratio of diabetes,FBG,eGFR and hsCRP.

Object To establish an effective plantlet regeneration system of Aconitum carmichaeli Debx. for the purpose to obtain a large number of high quality seedling in a short time. Methods Leaves in vitro were tried as the explants and cultivated in different media with the various portion of hormones. Results The medium of MS+BA 1.0 mg/L+KT 0.5 mg/L+NAA 0.2 mg/L was the most suitable one for the induction of shoots; the medium of MS+BA 1.5 mg/L+NAA 0.1 mg/L was beneficial to the propagation of shoots; the medium of MS+BA 0.5 mg/L+NAA 0.1 mg/L was good for the elongation of shoots; and the medium of 1/2 MS without any hormone was suitable for the induction of roots. Conclusion Rapid propagation of A. carmichaeli could be achieved by tissue culture and this will lead to the possibility for its seedling in the industrial production.
