1.Herbal Textual Research on Zijingpi in Famous Classical Formulas

By consulting herbal texts, medical records, formula collections, and other relevant literature from various historical periods, as well as modern and contemporary research materials, different aspects of the historical evolution of Zijingpi, including its name, origin, scientific name verification, medicinal part, genuine producing areas, harvesting, processing, and preparation, properties and flavors, and primary indications, were systematically reviewed and verified, providing a basis for the development of famous classical formula preparations containing this medicinal material. According to the textual research, Cercis chinensis was first recorded under the name "Zijingmu" in the Rihuazi Bencao from the Five Dynasties period. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it was known by various names such as "Zijing", "Zijingpi", and "Zijingmupi". In modern and contemporary times, it has been officially named "Zijingpi", with aliases such as "Mantiaohong", "Zihuashu", and "Qingminghua". Historically, the mainstream source of Zijingpi was the dried bark of Cercis chinensis Bunge, a species of the legume family. However, there were also instances of confusion with the Lythraceae plant Lagerstroemia indica L. The producing areas of Zijingpi have no special geographical limitation, and the plant is currently distributed throughout most parts of China. There were no special requirements for harvesting time in ancient times, while modern records indicate harvesting time in spring, summer, and autumn. Ancient processing methods were rarely recorded, with only mentions of stir-frying Zijingpi. Modern practice mostly uses the raw material medicinally. Modern standards prefer it to be "dry, long strips, and thick". The functions of Zijingpi, mainly to promote blood circulation, relieve strangury, and detoxify, have remained consistent from ancient to modern times. Based on the textual research findings, it is recommended that when developing and exploiting the famous classical formulas containing Zijingpi, the bark of C. chinensis should be selected as the source. The processing method should be chosen according to the formula requirements, and if no specific requirements are indicated, it is suggested to use the raw material medicinally.
2.Study on the stability and compatibility of butorphanol,nicardipine,urapidil and tirofiban administered via micro-infusion pump

OBJECTIVE To investigate the stability and compatibility of butorphanol, nicardipine, urapidil, and tirofiban. METHODS A micro-infusion pump was used to simulate the infusion process. Samples were collected in real time from the needle tip at 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 h after mixing of the four drugs. The appearance, pH, and number of insoluble particles were examined. The contents of butorphanol, nicardipine, urapidil, and tirofiban were determined using the ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography method. RESULTS Within 8 hours, all mixed solutions remained clear and transparent, with no visible turbidity, precipitation, color change, or gas generation. The pH fluctuation ranged from 0.02 to 0.09, both within 0.1 pH units. The number of insoluble particles ≥10 μm in size in each compatibility solution was ≤9, and the number of insoluble particles ≥25 μm was ≤2, meeting the requirements of the 2025 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (Volume Ⅳ). The relative percentage contents of butorphanol, nicardipine, urapidil, and tirofiban at 8 hours after compatibility mixing ranged from 92.38% to 113.40%. CONCLUSIONS Within 8 hours under simulated clinical micro-infusion pump infusion conditions, the stability and compatibility of the mixed solution containing butorphanol, nicardipine, urapidil, and tirofiban were satisfactory.
3.A lung cancer early-warning risk model based on facial diagnosis image features

Objective:
To explore the feasibility of constructing a lung cancer early-warning risk model based on facial image features, providing novel insights into the early screening of lung cancer.
Methods:
This study included patients with pulmonary nodules diagnosed at the Physical Examination Center of Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 1, 2019 to December 31, 2024, as well as patients with lung cancer diagnosed in the Oncology Departments of Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and Longhua Hospital during the same period. The facial image information of patients with pulmonary nodules and lung cancer was collected using the TFDA-1 tongue and facial diagnosis instrument, and the facial diagnosis features were extracted from it by deep learning technology. Statistical analysis was conducted on the objective facial diagnosis characteristics of the two groups of participants to explore the differences in their facial image characteristics, and the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was used to screen the characteristic variables. Based on the screened feature variables, four machine learning methods: random forest, logistic regression, support vector machine (SVM), and gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT) were used to establish lung cancer classification models independently. Meanwhile, the model performance was evaluated by indicators such as sensitivity, specificity, F1 score, precision, accuracy, the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC), and the area under the precision-recall curve (AP).
Results:
A total of 1 275 patients with pulmonary nodules and 1 623 patients with lung cancer were included in this study. After propensity score matching (PSM) to adjust for gender and age, 535 patients were finally included in the pulmonary nodule group and the lung cancer group, respectively. There were significant differences in multiple color space metrics (such as R, G, B, V, L, a, b, Cr, H, Y, and Cb) and texture metrics [such as gray-levcl co-occurrence matrix (GLCM)-contrast (CON) and GLCM-inverse different moment (IDM)] between the two groups of individuals with pulmonary nodules and lung cancer (P < 0.05). To construct a classification model, LASSO regression was used to select 63 key features from the initial 136 facial features. Abstract
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) auscultation has a long history, and with advancements in equipment and analytical methods, the quantitative analysis of auscultation parameters has determined. However, the complexity and diversity of auscultation, along with variations in devices, analytical methods, and applications, bring challenges to its standardization and deeper application. This review presents the advancements in auscultation equipment and systems, auscultation characteristic parameters, and their application in the diagnosis of pulmonary diseases and syndromes over the past 10 years, while also exploring the progress and challenges of current digital research of auscultation. This review also proposes the establishment of standardized protocols for the collection and analysis of auscultation data, the incorporation of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) auscultation analysis methods, and an exploration of the diagnostic utility of auscultatory features in pulmonary diseases and syndromes, so as to provide more precise decision support for intelligent diagnosis of pulmonary diseases and syndromes

This article summarizes current research and real-world evidence on the combined use of 5-aminosalicylates acid (5-ASA) with biologic agents in ulcerative colitis (UC) patients undergoing step-up therapy. Furthermore, it explores the potential value of whether combination therapy or not in different clinical scenarios. The findings provide insights for personalized UC treatment strategies and suggest directions for future research.
6.Clinicopathological analysis of 14 cases of mantle cell lymphoma with aberrant ex-pression of CD10

Purpose To explore the clinicopathological features,diagnosis and differential diagnosis of mantle cell lymphoma(MCL)with aberrant expression of CD10.Methods 14 cases of MCL with aberrant expression of CD10 were analyzed using hematoxylin-eosin,immunohistochemical stains,in situ hybridization,and fluorescence in situ hy-bridization(FISH)techniques to observe the histological morphology,immunophenotype,and molecular genetic char-acteristics.The relevant literatures were reviewed.Results There were 11 males and 3 females,with a male-to-fe-male ratio of 11∶3.The age ranged from 49 to 80 years,with an average age of 64.4 years and a median age of 64 years.10 cases occurred in lymph nodes,1 case in the nasopharynx,1 case in the right colon,1 case in the right eye-lid,and 1 case in the right testis.According to the Ann Arbor staging system,8 cases were classified as stage Ⅳ and 5 cases as stage Ⅲ,and 1 case with undetermined staging.Histologically,there was diffuse effacement of the normal architecture by tumor cells infiltration.Transparent degenerate small blood vessels and scattered individual epithelial-like tissue cells could be observed in the background.Among them,8 cases(8/14,57.14%)were composed of uni-form small to medium-sized lymphocytes with slightly irregular nuclei,unevenly dispersed chromatin,inconspicuous nucleoli,and scant cytoplasm,along with observable mitotic figures.In 3 cases(3/14,21.43%),the tumor cells were large and markedly pleomorphic,with round or irregular nuclei,prominent nucleoli,frequent mitotic figures,and abundant pale cytoplasm.Tumor cells in 3 cases(3/14,21.43%)were resembling lymphoblasts,characterized by round nuclei,fine chromatin,inconspicuous nucleoli,frequent mitotic figures,and scant cytoplasm.Immunophenotyp-ically,CD21 staining showed residual follicular dendritic meshworks.The tumor cells were diffusely and strongly posi-tive for CD20(14/14),PAX5(7/7),CD5(14/14),Cyclin D1(14/14),SOX11(11/11),and BCL2(13/13),partially positive for BCL6(8/14,57.14%)and MUM1(6/9,66.67%),but negative for CD3(14/14)and CD23(14/14).Among 14 cases,10 cases were diffusely and strongly positive for CD10(10/14,71.43%),and 4 cases were partially positive for CD10(4/14,28.57%).The percentage of Ki67 index ranged from 10%to 90%.All cases were negative for EBER(8/8).FISH analysis was performed in 9 cases,among which 7 cases showed CCND1 gene rearrangement,another 2 cases failed to detect due to insufficient tissue samples.Bone marrow biopsy was performed in 13 cases,revealing involvement in 8 cases(8/13,61.54%)and no involvement in 5 cases(5/13,38.46%).Con-clusion MCL with aberrant expression of CD10 is very rare,which commonly exhibits a diffuse growth pattern and blastoid and pleomorphic variants.It often has a high Ki67 proliferation index and poorer prognosis,and should be dis-tinguished from other subtypes of CD1O-positive B-cell lymphomas.
7.Clinicopathological characteristics and SDHB phenotype of 30 cases of paragangli-oma with literature review

Purpose To summarize the clinicopathological features of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma(PPGL)and discuss the potential correlation between SDHB immunophenotype and prognosis in PPGLs.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 30 samples of PPGL along with their corresponding clinicopathological informa-tion,SDHB immunophenotype characteristics,and the risk of recurrence and metastasis.Results The study included 20 extra-adrenal paragangliomas and 10 pheochromocytoma cases.The male-to-female ratio was 13∶17,with a mean age of 56(range from 21 to 79).Four cases recurred,one case resulted in death and five cases failed to follow-up.All recurrent or fatal cases were paraganglioma patients.Among the 30 cases,3 had multiple nodular lesions,and the re-maining cases were single nodule.The neck was the most frequent site for paraganglioma(6/20),followed by retroper-itoneum(5/20).Histologically,the tumors displayed a variable"zellballen"architecture with a highly vascularized stroma.The chief cells had abundant pale eosinophilic cytoplasm and slightly to moderately atypical nuclei,and pe-ripherally located sustentacular cells.Positive immunoreactivity with markers of neuroendocrine cells,including Syn,CgA,and GATA3,was found in tumor chief cells,which were nonreactive for CK.The sustentacular cells exhibited positive immunoreactivity for the S-100 protein.SDHB deficiency was demonstrated in 12 of 30 cases,with only one case being pheochromocytoma.The recurrence rate in SDHB-deficient group was higher than that in the positive group(33.3%vs 6.7%).Only one case of paraganglioma developed distant metastasis and death.Conclusion SDHB de-ficiency was predominantly observed in paragangliomas and serverd as an indipentent factor for metastatic risk in PPGLs.It was closely associated with younger age at onset,invasiveness,extra-adrenal tumorgenesis,and a high rate of tumor recurrence.
8.Effects of olanzapine and risperidone on sensory gating inhibitory deficits and cognitive impairment in first-episode schizophrenia

Objective:To investigate the impact of olanzapine and risperidone on the cognitive function, sensory gating function and clinical symptoms of patients with first-episode schizophrenia(FES).Additionally, to analyze the correlation between sensory gating inhibitory deficits and cognitive impairment in FES patients.Methods:A total of 71 FES patients were selected in the Third People's Hospital of Zhongshan City from March 2023 to March 2024, and 60 healthy controls were recruited during the same period.The FES patients were divided into olanzapine group and risperidone group by random number table.Olanzapine group was treated with variable doses of olanzapine(10-20 mg/d), and risperidone group was treated with variable doses of risperidone(3-6 mg/d).The MATRICS consensus cognitive battery(MCCB) was used to evaluate the cognitive function of the patients, P50 index was measured by auditory paired condition-stimulus paradigm, and the efficacy was evaluated by positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS) score reduction rate before and after 6 weeks of treatment.Healthy controls were assessed cognitive function only once with P50.SPSS 25.0 software was used for data processing. Perform statistical analysis using paired sample t-test, Wilcoxon signed rank test, independent sample t-test, Mann Whitney U test, χ2 test and generalized linear model. Results:Before treatment, the S2 amplitude of FES (1.74 (0.91, 2.79) μV) was higher than that of healthy controls (1.70 (1.04, 2.71) μV) (Wald χ2=4.483, P=0.034), the S2/S1 ratio of FES (0.58 (0.43, 0.78)) was higher than that of healthy controls (0.41 (0.31, 0.57)) (Wald χ2=10.909, P=0.001), and the difference of FES amplitude of S1-S2 was (1.22 (0.43, 1.92) μV) was lower than that of healthy controls (2.23 (1.54, 3.07) μV) (Wald χ2=17.679, P<0.001). There was no significant difference in PANSS, MCCB and P50 between olanzapine group and risperidone group before treatment (all P>0.05). After treatment, there was no significant difference in response rate between the two groups ( χ2=0.059, P=0.808), the PANSS scores were lower than those before treatment, the MCCB test results were higher than those before treatment (both P<0.05), and the P50 results were not statistically significant different compared with those before treatment (both P>0.05). The generalized linear model showed that the S1, S2 amplitude of the P50 had positive impact on the connection test score in the MCCB test ( β=0.466, P=0.020; β=0.879, P=0.009), other indicators were not found to have an impact on the test scores of the MCCB test (all P>0.05). Conclusion:Olanzapine and risperidone can significantly improve the cognitive function of FES, but the improvement of sensory gating deficits is limited. The pathogenic mechanism of sensory gating inhibitory deficits in FES may be different from that of cognitive dysfunction.
9.Endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of a case of rectal submucosal angiomyolipoma

10.Epidemiological characteristics of animal plague in Erenhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, 2013-2023

Objective:To analyze the population structure, quantity of rodents, fleas and epidemiological characteristics of animal plague in the plague foci of Erenhot in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and to provide a basis for scientific prevention and control of plague.Methods:The descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the surveillance and epidemic data of plague in Erenhot from 2013 to 2023 (from the plague prevention and control management information system of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the summary of plague surveillance data in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2013 to 2023), including rat density, nocturnal rat capture, flea infection of rodents, bacteriological and serological detection, etc.Results:From 2013 to 2023, a total of 418 hm 2 of plague foci were investigated in Erenhot, 1 054 rats were caught, and the density of rats was 2.52/hm 2, among which Meriones unguiculatus was the dominant species ( n = 480), and the density was 1.15/hm 2. The capture rate of nocturnal rodents was 6.38% (1 291/20 250). The flea infestation rate of rodents was 35.53% (1 491/4 197), with a flea index of 1.25. Xenopsylla conformity is the dominant flea species ( n = 1 886). Animal plague outbreaks occurred in 7 years, with 11 positive rodents and 10 groups of positive fleas identified by the bacteriology tests, and a total of 21 strains of Yersinia pestis isolated. Eleven positive sera samples were detected by serology. Conclusion:The rodent density in the plague foci of Erenhot is relatively low, but the flea index is high, the animal epidemic is active, facing a significant risk of imported human and animal plague epidemics.
