Under the background of the medical model shifting from biomedicine to systems medicine， the traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） concept of "treating different diseases in the same way" demonstrates unique scientific value. From the perspective of systems biology， this study proposes that "treating different diseases in the same way" is essentially "treating the disease with same mechanism in the same way"； that is， different diseases share common pathological links at levels such as neuro-endocrine-immune network homeostasis， inflammatory signaling pathways， or gut microecology. Through the application of the "same formulas" and "same medicinals"， TCM intervenes in these shared network nodes. On this basis， the modern medical value of the "treating different diseases in the same way" concept is elucidated from three dimensions including "network causality" in epistemology， "systemic modulation" in methodology， and "comorbidity management" in practice. It reveals that as a life network regulation concept based on holism， "treating different diseases in the same way" provides novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for complex chronic diseases and multimorbidity.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology enhances the function of acupuncture clinical decision support system (CDSS) by promoting the accuracy of its diagnosis, assisting the formulation of personalized therapeutic regimen, and realizing the scientific and precise evaluation of its therapeutic effect. This paper deeply analyzes the unique advantages of AI-based acupuncture CDSS, including the intelligence and high efficiency. Besides, it points out the challenges of data security, the lack of model interpretation and the complexity of interdisciplinary cooperation in the development of acupuncture CDSS. With the continuous development and improvement of AI technology, acupuncture CDSS is expected to play a more important role in the fields of personalized medicine, telemedicine and disease prevention, and to further advance the efficiency and effect of acupuncture treatment, drive the modernization of acupuncture, and enhance its position and influence in the global healthcare system.

The expert consensus on the clinical treatment of herpes zoster with fire needling was developed, and the commonly used fire needling treatment scheme verified by clinical research was selected to form a standardized diagnosis and treatment scheme for acute herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), so as to answer the core problems in clinical application. The consensus focuses on patients with herpes zoster, and forms recommendations for 9 key clinical issues, covering simple fire needling and TCM comprehensive therapy based on fire needling, including fire needling combined with cupping, fire needling combined with Chinese herb, fire needling combined with cupping and Chinese herb, fire needling combined with filiform needling, fire needling combined with moxibustion, and provides specific recommendations and operational guidelines for various therapies.

OBJECTIVE: To measure and analyze the relationships among the posterior tibial slope (PTS), meniscal slope (MS), and meniscus posterior horn thickness (MPHT) of the medial and lateral tibial plateau in healthy people and patients with anteromedial osteoarthritis (AMOA) in Heilongjiang province, so as to provide reference basis for appropriate tibial osteotomy and prosthesis placement angles in knee joint surgeries. METHODS: A retrospective collection of imaging data from knee joint MRI examinations conducted prior to AMOA for various reasons was performed. A total of 103 healthy individuals (healthy group) and 30 AMOA patients (AMOA group) were included. There was no significant difference in the gender composition ratio, side, and body mass index between the two groups ( P>0.05); however, the comparison of ages between the two groups showed a significant difference ( P<0.05). The collected DICOM format image data was imported into the RadiAnt DICOM Viewer software and measured the medial PTS (MPTS), lateral PTS (LPTS), medial MS (MMS), lateral MS (LMS), medial MPHT (MMPHT), and lateral MPHT (LMPHT) with standard methods. The differences of the above indexes between the two groups and between different genders and sides in the two groups were compared, and Pearson correlation analysis was carried out. At the same time, the measured data of healthy group were compared with the relevant literature reported in the past. RESULTS: Compared to the healthy group, the AMOA group exhibited significantly smaller MPTS and LPTS, as well as significantly greater MMPHT and LMPHT, with significant differences ( P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the MMS and LMS between the two groups ( P>0.05). The differences in various indicators between genders and sides within the two groups were not significant ( P>0.05). The correlation analysis and regression curves indicated that both MPTS and LPTS in the two groups were positively correlated with their respective ipsilateral MS and MPHT ( P<0.05); as PTS increased, the rate of increase in MS and MPHT tend to plateau. Compared to previous related studies, the MPTS and LPTS measured in healthy group were comparable to those of the Turkish population, exhibiting smaller values than those reported in other studies, while MMS and LMS were relatively larger, and MMPHT and LMPHT were smaller. CONCLUSION In healthy people and AMOA patients in Heilongjiang province, PTS has great individual differences, but there is no significant individual difference in MS. MPHT can play a certain role in retroversion compensation, and its thickness increase may be used as one of the indicators to predict the progression of AMOA. The above factors should be taken into account when UKA is performed, and the posterior tilt angle of tibial osteotomy should be set reasonably after preoperative examination and evaluation.

Adams-Oliver syndrome is a rare genetic disease. We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of two neonates with Adams-Oliver syndrome and large congenital scalp defects admitted to Tangshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and summarized their clinical manifestations and treatment methods in combination with literature. The two patients were full-term infants, both with lower limbs and heart congenital malformations, combined with leukodystrophy. One patient with Adams-Oliver syndrome underwent karyotype analysis, and the chromosomes were polymorphic (46, XX, 15pstk+). Both cases of congenital scalp defects were treated conservatively. For neonates with large congenital scalp defects, accompanied by congenital malformation at the extremities and heart as well as abnormal development of the central nervous system. Adams-Oliver syndrome should be considered and relevant pathogenic gene testing should be completed to provide a basis for precise diagnosis and treatment.

Objective:To investigate the additional value of 99Tc m-hydrazinonicotinamide (HYNIC)-Tyr3-octreotide (TOC) SPECT/CT imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs). Methods:A total of 54 patients (28 males and 26 females, age: (52.6±11.7) years) who underwent enhanced CT (MR) and 99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC SPECT/CT in People′s Hospital of Zhengzhou University between December 2017 and June 2023 were analyzed retrospectively. Surgical pathology or biopsy was the gold standard of patients′ diagnosis (primary tumors), and comprehensive evaluation based on pathology, imaging and follow-up results was used as the diagnostic criteria of lesions. McNemar χ2 test was used to compare the diagnostic efficacy of different imaging methods. Results:Pathological results showed that 43 of the 54 patients were with GEP-NETs and 11 were with non-neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The sensitivities of enhanced CT and enhanced MR in the diagnosis of patients with GEP-NETs were 65.1%(28/43) and 60.0%(15/25) respectively, which increased to 93.0%(40/43) and 92.0%(23/25) with the addition of 99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC imaging ( χ2 values: 8.64, 4.90, P values: 0.002, 0.021). There were 22 and 15 patients showing atypical enhancement on enhanced CT and enhanced MR respectively. The sensitivities of these two methods for GEP-NETs in patients with atypical enhancement were 54.5%(12/22) and 8/15 respectively, which increased to 95.5%(21/22) and 14/15 with the addition of 99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC imaging ( χ2 values: 5.82, 4.17, P values: 0.012, 0.031). Compared with enhanced CT, the detection rates of liver and bone metastatic lesions were improved significantly from 90.8%(158/174) and 55.2%(32/58) to 96.6%(168/174) and 87.9%(51/58) with the addition of 99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC imaging ( χ2 values: 5.79, 9.82, P values: 0.013, 0.001). Compared with enhanced MR, the detection rate of bone metastases was improved significantly from 56.0%(14/25) to 88.0%(22/25) with the addition of 99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC imaging ( χ2=4.08, P=0.039). After 99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC imaging, stages were changed in 7.0%(3/43) of patients and a greater number or extent of metastases were detected in 11.6%(5/43) of patients. 99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC imaging detected additional recurrent or metastatic lesions in 40.0%(8/20) of patients during follow-up compared to enhanced CT. Conclusion:99Tc m-HYNIC-TOC imaging can provide an added value for diagnosing GEP-NETs with atypically enhanced CT(MR), and in the detection of liver metastasis and early bone metastasis, thus helping the optimization of clinical treatment strategies.

Objective:To explore the predictive value of human cartilage glycoprotein 39 (YKL-40) and growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF-15) for clinical outcomes of patients with Parkinson disease (PD).Methods:A total of 109 patients with PD admitted to Xinxiang Central Hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected and treated with regular anti-PD medications for 4 weeks, with dosage appropriately adjusted according to clinical status and individual response.Clinical outcomes were evaluated after 2 months of treatment, and the predictive value of serum YKL-40 and GDF-15 at admission for clinical outcomes was analyzed.Data were analyzed by independent sample t-test, χ2 test and Logistic regression using SPSS 26.0. Results:PD patients with poor outcomes exhibited higher serum levels of YKL-40((3.18±0.67)mg/L, (2.34±0.41)mg/L) and GDF-15((457.82±142.83)pg/mL, (282.95±105.96)pg/mL) than those with good outcomes, and the differences were statistically significant ( t=8.082, 7.349, both P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that elevated serum levels of YKL-40( B=0.664, OR=1.943, 95% CI=1.237-3.052) and GDF-15( B=0.185, OR=1.787, 95% CI=1.145-2.789) both influenced the clinical outcomes of PD patients(both P<0.05).Serum YKL-40 combined with GDF-15 demonstrated a predictive sensitivity of 87.23%, specificity of 90.32%, and AUC of 0.927(95% CI=0.861-0.968) for clinical outcomes in PD patients.The AUC was significantly higher than that achieved by either indicator alone (YKL-40: AUC (95% CI)=0.722 (0.628-0.804); GDF-15: AUC (95% CI)=0.797 (0.709-0.868)). Conclusion:The elevated levels of YKL-40 and GDF-15 in PD patients are associated with clinical outcomes, which may be the potential markers for predicting clinical outcomes of patients with PD.
