Objective To investigate the effect of fast track surgery on perioperative nursing for the elderly patients with femoral neck fracture. Methods One hundred and twenty elderly patients with femoral neck fracture during April 2014 to December 2015 were divided into experiment group April to August 2014 and control group November 2013 to March 2014, 60 cases in each group. The experiment group was managed with fast tract surgery, while the control group was with conventional nursing. The two groups were compared from the rate of perioperative complications and hospital stay. Result The rates of congestion, infection of the urinary system and deep vein thrombosis in the experiment group were all lower than those of the control group (P<0.05) and the hospital stay in the experiment group was significantly shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of the fast track surgery in nursing intervention for the elderly patients with femoral neck fracture can significantly shorten hospital stay and reduce the rates of congestion and infection of the urinary system, thus accelerating the rehabilitation of patients.

Objective To assess the effects of different administration timing of prophylactic antibiotics on infections after hip arthroplasty. Methods 535 patients having undergone arthroplasty were divided into two groups: the experiment group (n=273)and the control group (n=262): The former groupwere administered with antibiotics until 24 hours postoperatively and the latter until 72 hours postoperatively. The two groups were compared in terms of postoperative infection rate. Results The infection rates in the experimental groupand the control group were 4.396%and 3..817%, with insignificant differencebetween them. Conclusion For those patients undergoing hip arthroplasty, extended administration of antibiotics after operation (over 48 hours) may not reduce the risk of recent the infection rate.

Objective To observe the effects of nourishing-kidney herbs on rat model with glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis. Methods 60 Wistar rats male and female half and half were randomly divided into a normal group,a model group and a nourishing-kidney group.By intramuscular injection of dexamethasone (2.5 mg/kg) twice a week to replicate osteoporosis rat model. All groups were treated for 9 weeks.Detected the BMD of femur in vitro and determined the bone metabolism marker in serum by biochemical process. Results The BMD decreased obviously (0.109± 0.007)g/cm2 and the content of TRAP in serum increased evidently (9.96± 1.15) μg/ml in the model group. In the nourishing-kidney group, the BMD was up-regulated (0.116 ± 0.007)g/cm2,and TRAP down-regulated(5.76 ± 0.85)μg/ml.Conclusion Intramuscular injection of dexamethasone can induce GIO rat model, and nourishing-kidney herbs have the effect of anti-osteoporosis.
