AIM: To investigate the influencing factors of stereoscopic function reconstruction after intermittent exotropia(IXT)surgery and the construction of a nomogram prediction model.METHODS:A total of 204 patients with IXT(all underwent strabismus correction surgery)admitted to our hospital from September 2021 to October 2023 were randomly divided into modeling group(143 cases)and validation group(61 cases). The patients in the modeling group were further divided into reconstructive group and non-reconstructive group according to whether they had stereoscopic function reconstruction after surgery; the general patient information was collected; Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was performed on the influencing factors of stereoscopic visual function reconstruction after IXT surgery. The nomogram model was constructed using R software. The ROC curve was drawn to evaluate the distinction of the nomogram model. The decision curve analysis(DCA)was used to evaluate the clinical application value of the model.RESULTS:Reconstruction occurred in 50.5%(103 cases)of the 204 patients, and reconstruction occurred in 50.3%(72 cases)of the 143 patients in the modeling group. There were differences in age of onset, course of disease and postoperative horizontal strabismus between the reconstructive group and the non-reconstructive group(all P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age of onset and postoperative horizontal strabismus were risk factors for stereoscopic visual function reconstruction after IXT surgery(all P<0.05), and the course of disease was a protective factor(P<0.05). The AUC of the modeling group was 0.892, and the H-L test was χ2=6.654 and P=0.615. The AUC of the validation group was 0.935, and the H-L test was χ2=6.498 and P=0.642. The DCA curve showed that the clinical value of the nomogram model was higher when the probability was 0.09-0.95.CONCLUSION: The age of onset, course of disease and postoperative amount of horizontal strabismus are the influencing factors of stereoscopic visual function reconstruction after IXT surgery, and the nomogram model constructed by this can better predict postoperative stereoscopic function reconstruction.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(5):703-707
Objective:
To explore the short-term improvement effect of physical exercise and cognitive training on inhibitory control function of college students, and to clarify the temporal quantitative-effectiveness relationships between long-term exercise-integrated cognitive interventions and inhibitory control function of college students, in order to provide a reference for promoting inhibitory control function in this population.
Methods:
College students from Tianjin University of Sport were recruited in May 2022 to participate in the intervention study, which included both short-term and long-term interventions. The short-term intervention used a 2 (physical exercise: yes,no) × 2 (cognitive training: yes,no) between-groups design, with 69 participants randomized into a movement integration cognitive group ( n =18),a physical exercise group ( n =16),a cognitive training group ( n =17),and a control group (sedentary viewing of a health information video, n =18),for a 30 min intervention. The long term intervention used a mixed experimental design with a 2 (intervention groups; intervention group, control group, between-group variable) ×5 (intervention time: pre-test, 1 week, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and 8 weeks, within-group variable) mixed experimental design with 24 participants, including 13 in the intervention group, who underwent the exercise-integrated cognitive intervention for 30 min, 3 times per week, and 11 in the control group, who maintained their daily activities without the intervention. The main effects of the independent variables and their interactions were analyzed using covariance and repeated measures ANOVA.
Results:
There was a statistically significant interaction between physical exercise and cognitive training on accuracy of the Flanker task for the short intervention[ F (1,64) =7.05, P =0.01, η 2 P=0.10], and the simple effect test showed that cognitive training reduced accuracy of responses in the presence of physical exercise condition( P =0.02), and the main effect of physical exercise among college students was significant for the reaction time [ F (1,65) =14.12, P < 0.01 , η 2 p =0.18]; for Flanker task reaction time in the long-term intervention, the main effect of intervention time was significant[ F (4,19) = 3.03 , P =0.04, η 2 P =0.39].However, the intervention results of 1, 4, 6 and 8 weeks in the intervention group [(28.13±10.32)( 14.14 ±26.98)(13.54±25.61)(15.14±21.34)ms] were all better than the pre-test [(77.54± 39.34 )ms], the main effect of intervention group was significant [ F (1,22) =6.96, P =0.02, η =0.24].
Conclusion
In a short-term intervention for inhibitory control function in college students, physical exercise is more effective than cognitive training; long-term exercise and cognitive training can improve the inhibitory control function of college students.

Intelligent acupuncture-moxibustion medical equipment is an important force in promoting the inheritance, innovation, and modernization of acupuncture-moxibustion. This paper reviews the development status of intelligent acupuncture-moxibustion medical equipment and related new technologies, as well as the challenges faced. It is found that, with the advancement of technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence, acupuncture-moxibustion medical equipment has shown characteristics of greater precision, miniaturization, intelligence, and portability. However, deficiencies remain in areas such as standardization and regulation, including relatively low rates of effective transformation and a lack of innovation in research outcomes. Therefore, there is an urgent need to formulate corresponding strategies: improving the development of relevant standards for intelligent acupuncture-moxibustion medical equipment, encouraging the integration of medicine and engineering, cultivating interdisciplinary talents, and strengthening the protection of invention patents. It is necessary to establish a demand-oriented pathway connecting "equipment development, equipment evaluation, product formation" through multiple stages such as talent training and research project initiation, thereby promoting the modernization and standardization of intelligent acupuncture-moxibustion medical equipment and supporting the revitalization of traditional medicine.

Chinese Journal of Reparative and Reconstructive Surgery 2025;39(9):1091-1097
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the clinical outcome of sensory reconstruction about the functional perforator flap for repairing the complex defects on the limbs.
METHODS:
A retrospective analysis was conducted on 21 patients with limb complex defects admitted between March 2018 and January 2023. There were 12 males and 9 females, with a median age of 36 years (range, 19-62 years). The wounds were on the upper limbs (hands) in 13 cases and the lower limbs (feet) in 8 cases. Five patients with tumor/scar, and the left defects after en-bloc resection of the tumor lesion and scar were repaired immediately. The remaining 16 cases were acute/chronic wounds, undergoing the emergent debridement and vacuum sealing drainage placement, and the left defects were repaired with flaps during second-stage operation. The size of the defects ranged from 5.5 cm×4.5 cm to 17.0 cm×12.0 cm. The donor sites were located on the thoracic and back in 4 cases, the anterior lateral thigh in 6 cases, and the feet in 11 cases. All flaps were functional perforator flaps with sensory nerve. The donor sites were closed directly or repaired with skin grafting. At last follow-up, the sensation of flap and the muscle strength of recipient site were evaluated according to the British Medical Research Council (BMRC) sensory grading (S0-S4) and muscle strength grading (M0-M5) criteria.
RESULTS:
Twenty flaps survived completely without significant complication, and partial edge necrosis was observed in 1 flap, which healed after the debridement and skin grafting. The donor and recipient sites healed by first intention. All patients were followed up 10-18 months (mean, 12 months). At last follow-up, the flaps with satisfactory shape and soft texture were observed, and no abnormal hair growth or pigmentation occurred. The sensation of flap was evaluated as S1 in 2 cases, S2 in 7, S3 in 9, and S4 in 3. The muscle strength of recipient site was evaluated as M2 in 4 cases, M3 in 9, M4 in 5, and M5 in 3. Only linear scars were left at the donor site.
CONCLUSION
The functional perforator flap with sensory nerve is beneficial for early sensation reconstruction for repairing the complex defects on the limbs, and could reconstruct the functional subunit structure defect in one stage. The short-term functional follow-up results are satisfactory.

Chemotherapy is currently the mainstay of systemic management for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), but chemoresistance significantly impacts patient outcomes. Our research indicates that Doxorubicin (Dox)-resistant TNBC cells exhibit increased glycolysis and ATP generation compared to their parental cells, with this metabolic shift contributing to chemoresistance. We discovered that ALKBH3, an m1A demethylase enzyme, is crucial in regulating the enhanced glycolysis in Dox-resistant TNBC cells. Knocking down ALKBH3 reduced ATP generation, glucose consumption, and lactate production, implicating its involvement in mediating glycolysis. Further investigation revealed that aldolase A (ALDOA), a key enzyme in glycolysis, is a downstream target of ALKBH3. ALKBH3 regulates ALDOA mRNA stability through m1A demethylation at the 3'-untranslated region (3'UTR). This methylation negatively affects ALDOA mRNA stability by recruiting the YTHDF2/PAN2-PAN3 complex, leading to mRNA degradation. The ALKBH3/ALDOA axis promotes Dox resistance both in vitro and in vivo. Clinical analysis demonstrated that ALKBH3 and ALDOA are upregulated in breast cancer tissues, and higher expression of these proteins is associated with reduced overall survival in TNBC patients. Our study highlights the role of the ALKBH3/ALDOA axis in contributing to Dox resistance in TNBC cells through regulation of ALDOA mRNA stability and glycolysis.

Pien Tze Huang(PZH),a class-1 nationally protected traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),has been used to treat liver diseases such as hepatitis;however, the effect of PZH on the progression of sepsis is un-known.Here,we reported that PZH attenuated lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced sepsis in mice and reduced LPS-induced production of proinflammatory cytokines in macrophages by inhibiting the acti-vation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signalling.Mechanistically,PZH stimulated signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)phosphory-lation to induce the expression of A20,which could inhibit the activation of NF-κB and MAPK signalling.Knockdown of the bile acid(BA)receptor G protein-coupled bile acid receptor 1(TGR5)in macrophages abolished the effects of PZH on STAT3 phosphorylation and A20 induction,as well as the LPS-induced inflammatory response, suggesting that BAs in PZH may mediate its anti-inflammatory effects by acti-vating TGR5.Consistently,deprivation of BAs in PZH by cholestyramine resin reduced the effects of PZH on the expression of phosphorylated-STAT3 and A20,the activation of NF-κB and MAPK signalling, and the production of proinflammatory cytokines, whereas the addition of BAs to cholestyramine resin-treated PZH partially restored the inhibitory effects on the production of proinflammatory cytokines.Overall, our study identifies BAs as the effective components in PZH that activate TGR5-STAT3-A20 signalling to ameliorate LPS-induced sepsis.

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of posterior femoral muscle flaps combined with posterior femoral cutaneous nerve nutrient vessel flap and closed lavage in the treatment of stage Ⅳ ischial tuberosity pressure ulcers. Methods:This study was a retrospective observational study. From March 2021 to March 2022, 15 patients with stage Ⅳ ischial tuberosity pressure ulcers who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to Dezhou Dongcheng Hospital, including 11 males and 4 females, aged 31 to 72 years. The pressure ulcer wound size ranged from 6.0 cm×4.5 cm to 10.0 cm×6.0 cm, with cavity diameters of 10-14 cm. Five cases were complicated with ischial tuberosity bone infection. After clearing the lesion, the biceps femoris long head muscle flap with an area of 10.0 cm×4.0 cm-18.0 cm×5.0 cm and the semitendinosus muscle flap with an area of 8.0 cm×4.0 cm-15.0 cm×5.0 cm combined with the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve nutrient vessel flap with an area of 6.5 cm×5.5 cm-10.5 cm×6.5 cm was transplanted to repair the pressure ulcer wound. The flap donor area was directly sutured, and the closed lavage with tubes inserted into the wound cavity was performed for 2-3 weeks. The postoperative survival of the muscle flaps and skin flaps, the wound healing of the donor and recipient areas were observed. The recurrence of pressure ulcers, the appearance and texture of flaps, and scar conditions of the donor and recipient areas were followed up.Results:All the muscle flaps and skin flaps in the 15 patients successfully survived after surgery. Two patients experienced incisional dehiscence at one week after surgery due to improper turning over, during which the incision in the recipient area was pressed on, and the wounds healed after dressing changes of 3 to 4 weeks; the wounds in the donor and recipient areas healed well in the other patients. All patients received follow-up after surgery. During the follow-up period of 6 to 12 months, none of the patients experienced pressure ulcer recurrence, and the texture, color, and thickness of the skin flaps closely resembled those of the surrounding skin at the recipient site, with only linear scar left in the donor and recipient areas. Conclusions:When using the posterior femoral muscle flaps combined with the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve nutrient vessel flap and closed lavage to treat stage Ⅳ ischial tuberosity pressure ulcers, the tissue flap can be used to fully fill in the dead space of the pressure ulcers. After treatment, the wound heals well, the appearance of the donor and recipient areas is better, and the pressure ulcers are less prone to reoccur.

Acute leukemia(AL)is a common hematological malignancy in children and adolescents. Chemotherapy is currently the primary treatment for AL.Alternative therapies, such as hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT),targeted therapy, and immunotherapy also offer greater hope for the survival of refractory/relapsed patients. Chemotherapeutic drugs, radiotherapy, targeted drugs and immunotherapeutic drugs are well-applied clinically, meanwhile posing threats to non-target systems. The adverse effects on the reproductive system may lead to the dilemma of infertility, thus reducing the long-term quality of life. As the survival rate of AL patients keeps increasing continuously, the influence of different treatments on the gonad function needs to be clarified. With the help of targeted fertility prevention, the patient′s quality of life can be enhanced in parallel with life span. This article aims to review the impact of AL treatment on ovarian function in female children and adolescents and provide ideas for the long-term fertility protection of leukemia patients.
