Objective: To examine the associations between 24 hour movement behavior allocation patterns and physical fitness as well as serum high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) levels among female college students, providing evidence for developing personalized health promotion strategies. Methods: In September 2025, 48 female college students aged 18-22 years were recruited from a comprehensive university from Shanghai. Continuous 24 hour movement behaviors were monitored using a triaxial accelerometer (ActiGraph GT3X+). Serum hsCRP levels were measured (≥1 000 ng/mL was log grade inflammation), and physical fitness indicators including upper limb muscle strength, vital capacity, and maximal oxygen consumption (VO 2max ) were assessed. Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between variables. Compositional data analysis combined with multiple linear regression was employed to construct isotemporal substitution models, evaluating the effects of substituting 30 minutes of one behavior for another on hsCRP and VO 2max . Results: Female college students had the longest average daily sedentary behavior (SB) time (643.2±103.2)min, which was higher than sleep time (452.4±90.0)min, light physical activity (LPA) time (279.0±76.8)min and moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) time (66.0±21.6)min. Correlation analysis revealed that vigorous physical activity (VPA) was positively correlated with hsCRP levels among female college students ( r=0.47, P <0.05). Substituting 30 minutes of MVPA with sleep, SB or LPA significantly reduced predicted hsCRP levels among female college students ( β = -0.90, -0.90, -0.73), replacing 30 minutes of sleep with MVPA significantly increased predicted VO 2max levels ( β =5.12) (all P <0.05). The low grade inflammation group exhibited longer durations of high intensity activity participation and higher mean values for height, body weight, and grip strength compared to the normal group ( t =2.17, 2.52, 2.21, all P <0.05). Within the normal inflammation group, MVPA was positively associated with VO 2max ( β =0.18), while sleep was negatively associated ( β =-0.07) (both P <0.05). In contrast, no statistically significant associations were observed between any activity behavior and VO 2max in the low grade inflammation group (all P >0.05). Conclusions MVPA exerts bidirectional effects on the health of female college students. While it enhances cardiorespiratory fitness, it may concurrently elevate chronic low grade inflammation levels. To maximize health benefits, intervention programs focused on increasing MVPA should also give full consideration to the importance of restorative sleep.

Cancer is a highly deadly disease, with breast cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, and ovarian cancer being the most prevalent in women. However, traditional cancer treatments present challenges due to their strong toxic side effects and adverse reactions. Numerous studies have demonstrated that natural products derived from various plants possess therapeutic and preventive properties against cancer. These phytochemicals have been extensively investigated as a potential alternative to conventional chemotherapy drugs, owing to their safety and efficacy. This article provides a comprehensive review of the recent advances in the chemoprevention and mechanisms of phytochemicals against the four major female cancers. The focus will be on how these phytochemicals regulate cancer cell proliferation, apoptosis, invasion, and metastasis to impede cancer progression. Given their extensive clinical applications, phytochemicals hold great promise in the field of cancer treatment. It hopes that this review will inspire more researchers to explore the potential of these natural compounds in combating female cancers.

Background With the large-scale production and application of carbon black nanoparticles (CBNPs), occupational and general exposure is obviously increasing. Related studies have shown that exposure to CBNPs can induce oxidative stress, inflammation, and DNA damage. Objective To establish a CBNPs-induced malignant transformation (C-BEAS-2B) model of human lung epithelial cells (BEAS-2B) and explore the role and mechanism of circCCDC138 in the malignant transformation process. Methods At 0, 10, 20, 40 and 80 μg·mL⁻¹ CBNPs concentrations, cell viability was detected by CCK8 assay. BEAS-2B cells were exposed to 20 mg·mL⁻¹ CBNPs for three months, and a malignant transformation model of BEAS-2B induced by CBNPs was constructed. The migration and invasion abilities of the cells were detected by cell scratch and Transwell assays. The expressions of circ-CCDC138 in BEAS-2B and C-BEAS-2B were detected by qRT-PCR, and its stability was verified by a digestive resistance test. A cell model with interference or overexpression of circCCDC138 was constructed, and the expression of circCCDC138 in the cells was detected by quantitative reverse transcription-PCR. The cell cycle and apoptosis were determined by flow cytometry. Western blot was used to analyze the expression of p53 protein. Results The CBNPs used in the experiment were spherical particles with a chain-like structure. In the 20 μg·mL⁻¹ CBNPs group, the reduction in the viability of BEAS-2B cells was relatively small (10%). Compared with the control cells, the 20 μg·mL⁻¹ CBNPs group showed more obvious cell migration and invasion at 24 h and 48 h, indicating that the exposure to CBNPs induced early malignant transformation of BEAS-2B cells (P<0.01). The circCCDC138 expression in C-BEAS-2B was upregulated in a time-dependent manner after exposure to CBNPs. Compared with the C-BEAS-2B cells, the C-BEAS-2B cells over-expressing circCCDC138 exhibited arrested S phase progression (36.9%) and apoptosis resistance (P<0.01), along with down regulation of p53 protein expression in the cells (P<0.01), while the C-BEAS-2B cells interfering with circCCDC138 showed the opposite results (P<0.01). Conclusion BEAS-2B cells exposed to CBNPs (20 μg·mL⁻¹) have significantly enhanced migration and invasion abilities, showing early malignant transformation characteristics. In addition, circCCDC138 is highly expressed in C-BEAS-2B cells with RNase R digestive resistance and increases in a time-dependent manner with CBNPs exposure. More importantly, circCCDC138 may promote the induction of malignant transformation of cells by inhibiting p53 protein expression.

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of transcatheter mitral valve-in-valve replacement(ViV-TMVR)in the treatment of bioprosthetic mitral valve failure.Methods Seventeen patients with bioprosthetic mitral valve failure who required ViV-TMVR were selected.Preoperative data including age,gender,body mass index(BMI),usage time of bioprosthetic mitral valve,comorbidities(hypertension,coronary heart disease,old cerebral infarction,atrial fibrillation and diabetes)and New York Heart Association(NYHA)functional class were recorded,and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),right atrial diameter(RA),pulmonary artery systolic pressure(PASP),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),type of bioprosthetic mitral valve failure,degree of bioprosthetic mitral valve regurgitation and stenosis,peak velocity and mean transvalvular pressure gradient of the bioprosthetic mitral valve,and Society of Thoracic Surgeons(STS)score were also collected.Intraoperative data included puncture route,valve type,intraoperative complications,operation time and immediate postoperative transesophageal echocardiography(TEE)assessment(peak velocity and mean transvalvular pressure gradient of the valve-in-valve,valve-in-valve regurgitation or paravalvular regurgitation)were collected.Postoperative data included time in the intensive care unit(ICU)/cardiovascular intensive care unit(CCU),total postoperative hospital stay and 30-day postoperative echocardiographic results and NYHA functional class were recorded.Patients were divided into the domestic NewMed valve group(10 cases)and the imported Edwards valve group(7 cases)based on the type of valve used.The safety and efficacy of ViV-TMVR were analyzed,and the efficacy of domestic valves and imported valves was compared.Results All 17 patients successfully underwent ViV-TMVR via the transseptal approach without serious complications,and the 30-day readmission rate was 0%.There were no significant differences in operation time of domestic valves and imported valves,mild paravalvular regurgitation of the valve-in-valve,peak velocity and mean transvalvular pressure gradient of the valve-in-valve immediately after surgery and at 30-day postoperatively,time in ICU/CCU,total postoperative hospital stay and the proportion of patients with NYHA functional class Ⅲ-Ⅳ at 30-day postoperatively between the domestic valve group and the imported valve group.During the 30-day follow-up,one patient died of cerebral hemorrhage,and one patient had major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE,cerebral hemorrhage).Compared with before the operation,the peak velocity and mean transvalvular pressure gradient of the valve-in-valve,LVEF,and PASP decreased immediately after surgery and at 30 days after surgery.Compared with immediately after surgery,the peak velocity and mean transvalvular pressure gradient of the valve-in-valve increased at 30 days postoperatively(P＜0.01),while there were no significant differences in LVEF and PASP.Conclusion Transseptal ViV-TMVR is safe and effective in the short term for patients with bioprosthetic mitral valve failure who are at high risk of re-thoracotomy,and the efficacy of domestic valves is comparable to that of imported valves.

OBJECTIVE To establish a extraction process of Changyan Heji Ⅱ(CYHJ-Ⅱ)based on UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS technology combined with response surface analysis,and to optimize the extraction process.METHODS The chemical components in CYHJ-Ⅱ were qualitatively analyzed by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS technology,and the chemical components with good linear relation-ship in mass spectrometry response were selected as process investigation indicators;the extraction process parameters(water addition amount,extraction time and soaking time)were investigated by Box-Behnken design;the comprehensive score was obtained by princi-pal component analysis(PCA),and the optimal process was determined by the comprehensive score combined with response surface a-nalysis.RESULTS Through qualitative analysis,110 components were inferred and identified from CYHJ-Ⅱ,including 2 organic acids,82 flavonoids,13 terpenoids,and 13 alkaloids.Based on the results of qualitative analysis,48 index components with good lin-ear relationships were derived by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS combined with Masshunter mass spectrometry data analysis software.PCA was performed and the comprehensive score was calculated.Response surface analysis was performed with the comprehensive score as an indicator.The optimal extraction process obtained by combining the response surface prediction results and actual production was:soaking for 45 min,8 times the amount of solvent,2 extractions,each time for 120 min.CONCLUSION This study provides a new idea for the investigation of the extraction process of traditional Chinese medicine compound prescriptions and expands a new method for the development of traditional Chinese medicine compound prescriptions.

Objective To explore the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome character-istics and medication patterns of cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD)using data mining techniques.Methods Clinical research literature on TCM treatment of CSVD,published from the establishment of the database to September 1,2024,was retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang,and VIP databases.Analyses were conducted on syndromes,drug frequencies,properties,flavors,and meridian tropisms.Data mining was performed using R4.4.1 software to ex-plore associations,correlations,and clustering of TCM herbs,aiming to elucidate medication patterns in CSVD treatment.Results A total of 60 prescription formulas for treating CSVD were screened,involving 142 TCM herbs with a total usage frequency of 1,312 times.The top five most frequently used herbs were Chuanxiong,Danggui,Dilong,Huangqi,and Chishao.Herb properties were pre-dominantly warm and cold;flavors were mainly pungent,bitter,and sweet;and meridian tropisms were primarily to the liver,spleen,and heart meridians.Twenty-nine strong association rules were identified,and association analysis revealed core herbal combinations centered around Chuanxiong,Chishao,and Danggui.Clustering analysis yielded five herbal combinations.Conclusion CSVD is characterized by a deficiency in essence and excess in superficiality.Treatment should focus on tonify-ing deficiencies and eliminating excesses,combining both tonification and purgation methods.Medication patterns predominantly involve herbs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,often combined with herbs for nourishing the kidney and marrow,calming the liver and suppressing wind,and awakening the mind and opening the orifices.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and mechanism of Xiezhuo Qutong Formula on gout.Methods(1)Animal experiments:A hyperuricemia(HUA)model was established in SD rats using hypoxanthine combined with potassium oxonate,and an acute gouty arthritis(AGA)model was induced by monosodium urate.The efficacy and safety of Xiezhuo Qutong Formula in reducing serum uric acid levels and exerting anti-inflammatory effects were evaluated.(2)Network pharmacology:The main active components and potential targets of Xiezhuo Qutong Formula were collected,along with gout-related disease targets.The intersection of these targets yielded potential therapeutic targets.A protein-protein interaction(PPI)network was constructed,followed by Gene Ontology(GO)functional enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway enrichment analysis.Results Xiezhuo Qutong Formula effectively reduced serum uric acid levels in HUA model rats without observed hepatorenal toxicity.It also decreased joint inflammation index,joint swelling degree,and inflammatory cytokine levels in AGA model rats.Network pharmacology analysis identified 156 overlapping targets between the drug and disease,among which TP53,STAT3,PIK3CA,BCL2,PIK3CD,PIK3CB,JUN,HDAC1,ESR1,and RELA may be key targets of Xiezhuo Qutong Formula in treating gout.Combined with GO and KEGG enrichment analyses,the main involved pathways include PI3K/AKT,JAK2/STAT3,and NF-κB signaling pathways.Conclusion Xiezhuo Qutong Formula exerts uric acid-lowering and anti-inflammatory effects in the treatment of gout,and its potential mechanism involves the PI3K/AKT,JAK2/STAT3,and NF-κB signaling pathways.

During long-duration space missions,astronauts face health challenges such as bone density loss,muscle atrophy,cardiovascular dysfunction,immune function suppression caused by microgravity,as well as mental health issues in a confined environment.There is an urgent need for real-time,continuous,and multi-dimensional health monitoring technologies to safeguard the health and safety of astronauts.This paper systematically reviews the technical requirements and current development status of astronaut on-orbit health monitoring,with a focus on analyzing breakthroughs in technologies such as dynamic electrocardiography,non-invasive blood pressure assessment,flexible electronic skin,and molecular probe spectroscopy.It also elaborates on how the integration of artificial intelligence and bionics technologies is propelling the monitoring system towards intelligence and autonomy,providing a reference for the medical support of astronauts during long-duration spaceflight missions.

Objective To explore the effect and preliminary mechanism of the plant-derived immunostimulatory molecule,ophiopogonin,on enhancing the immune response of a subunit vaccine with the receptor-binding domain(RBD)of coronavirus spike protein as the antigen.Methods CCK-8 assay was used to determine the cytotoxicity of ophiopogonin D'(OPD')on bone marrow-derived dendritic cells(BMDCs).Female Balb/c mice were randomly divided into RBD,RBD/OPD',RBD/Alum,and control groups.The immunization dose was 5 μg of antigen per mouse and 100 μg of adjuvant per mouse,and immunization was carried out according to the intramuscular injection immunization procedure on days 0,21,and 42.The titers of specific IgG and its subtype antibodies were detected by ELISA.The cytokine levels in the supernatant of splenocytes were detected using ELISA.The number of splenocytes secreting IFN-γ was detected by ELISpot.Laser confocal microscopy was employed to observe the uptake of antigen by BMDCs.The phagocytic ability of BMDCs for antigen was quantitatively analyzed by flow cytometry.The mechanism of its enhanced immune effect was preliminarily explored using transcriptomics technology combined with bioinformatics research.Results When the concentration of OPD'was less than 5 μg/mL,the survival rate of BMDCs was 100%.After a single intramuscular injection in mice,except for a slight decrease in body weight,the other biochemical indicators were within corresponding normal ranges.After intramuscular injection immunization of the vaccine,the titers of serum-specific IgG,IgG1,and IgG2a in the RBD/OPD'group were significantly higher than those in the RBD group(P<0.05).Compared with the RBD group,the RBD/OPD'group induced a high-level Th1 cell immune response of IL-1β,TNF-α,and IFN-γ(P<0.01)and had more lymphocytes secreting IFN-γ(P<0.001).Laser confocal microscopy displayed that BMDCs took up more antigens after OPD'treatment,which was further confirmed with flow cytometry in quantitative analysis on antigen uptake rate(P<0.01).Transcriptomics results indicated that there was more significant enrichment of the PPAR signaling pathway in the RBD/OPD'group than the RBD group,suggesting that OPD'may activate the PPAR signaling pathway to exert its adjuvant effect.Conclusion OPD'effectively enhances the immune response of the RBD subunit vaccine,and its action mechanism may be related to the activation of the PPAR signaling pathway.

Objective To establish a mouse model of infection with the minimum lethal dose of Vibrio vulnificus(V.vulnificus)and to evaluate the protective efficacy of inactivated whole-cell(IWC)vaccine using this model.Methods A mouse model of lethal-dose infection was established by intraperitoneal injection of different doses of V.vulnificus.Bacterial colonization in the organs was detected with tissue homogenate plating,and pathological changes in the organs were observed after tissue section staining.Flow cytometry was used to detect immune cell responses after liver tissues were digested into single-cell suspension.IWC vaccine of V.vulnificus was prepared,and the mice were immunized through different routes to observe the protective efficacy of the vaccine.Results A mouse model of infection with the minimum lethal dose at 1×106 CFU of V.vulnificus was successfully established.After infection,the bacteria were mainly colonized in the liver of mice and caused severe pathological damages.Compared with the uninfected mice,the proportion of neutrophils in the liver was significantly increased in the infected mice,whereas the proportions of B cells and T cells were correspondingly decreased(P<0.05).A single intramuscular or intraperitoneal injection of the IWC vaccine could protect the mice effectively against lethal infection of V.vulnificus in 7 d later(P<0.01),although the level of serum IgG having no significant increase.Conclusion A mouse model of lethal-dose infection with V.vulnificus is successfully established,with histopathological characteristics.The IWC vaccine of V.vulnificus rapidly mediates immune protection in this model probably independent of IgG.
