Objectives:Fenofibric acid is extracted from the widely used hypolipemic fenofibrate, nowadays being approved for marketing around numerous nations and regions, nonetheless not in China.Present trial evaluated the efficacy and safety in the Chinese hypertriglyceridemia population. Methods:This is a multi-center,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled phase Ⅲ clinical trial.Patients from 3 different cohorts, including severe hypertriglyceridemia(HTG),moderate HTG and mixed-dyslipidemia(MD),were randomized at 1:1 ratio to receive fenofibric acid 135 mg or placebo daily for 12 weeks. The primary endpoint was the percentage change of triglyceridemia(TG)from baseline at week 12.Secondary endpoints were the percentage changes of other blood lipid indexes. At the same time, the incidence of medical adverse events was observed. Results:Among the three cohorts of patients with severe HTG(n=52),moderate HTG(n=23)and MD(n=52),the TG levels in the fenofibric acid-treated group decreased by(49.12±29.19)%,(49.95±25.19)%and(49.79±19.28)%,respectively from baseline to 12 weeks, while the corresponding placebo groups decreased by(18.88±40.69)%,(8.11±29.86)%and increased by(10.42±73.04)%,respectively from baseline to 12 weeks. The differences between treatment and placebo groups were statistically significant(P<0.017 for severe HTG cohort,P<0.05 for moderate and MD cohort). The high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)in the fenofibric acid-treated group increased by(25.51±21.45)%,(24.55±24.73)%,and(23.60±27.38)%,and the placebo group increased by(1.91±20.42)%,(2.40±9.32)%and(7.13±19.12)%,respectively,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(all P<0.05).In the fenofibric acid group, adverse events with incidence>5%included upper respiratory tract infection(10.9%),abdominal pain(6.3%),and increased serum creatinine levels(6.3%),rates of adverse events were similar between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusions:Fenofibric acid can significantly reduce triglycerides and elevate HDL-C levels safely in Chinese patients with severe to moderate HTG without statin or MD patients on top of statin therapy.

Journal of Medical Biomechanics 2024;39(2):339-345
Objective To simulate the microflow field environment between the anastomotic nail surface and intestinal wall tissue after implantation and to study the effect of hydrophobic surfaces on the flow rate of extracellular fluid and the fluid shear force on the wall to regulate bacterial adhesion through changes in the flow field. Methods The microstructure of shark skin was observed, and a simplified two-dimensional(2D)movement model of bacteria in a microflow field was established.Using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)numerical simulation, the movement of bacteria on a smooth surface and micro-textured surface in a static and dynamic flow field were simulated. The flow field characteristics around bacteria and the magnitude of fluid shear force under the two surface environments were compared, and the internal mechanism of the fluid shear force affecting bacterial adhesion was analyzed. Results The addition of the biomimetic microtexture enhanced the flow rate of the extracellular fluid in the microflow field, and the fluid had little viscous effect on the bacteria in the static flow field. The fluid in the dynamic flow field had a stronger pushing effect on the bacteria. The fluid shear force on the microtextured wall increased when the pit width was within a specific range. Conclusions The bionic micro-textured surface of the anastomotic nail can accelerate the flow rate of extracellular fluid, increase the fluid shear force of micro-textured walls and bacteria, and influence bacterial adhesion. These result provide a theoretical basis for studying bacteriostatic surfaces of anastomotic nails.

Patients with severe trauma require an extremely timely treatment and transfusion plays an irreplaceable role in the emergency treatment of such patients. An increasing number of evidence-based medicinal evidences and clinical practices suggest that patients with severe traumatic bleeding benefit from early transfusion of low-titer group O whole blood or hemostatic resuscitation with red blood cells, plasma and platelet of a balanced ratio. However, the current domestic mode of blood supply cannot fully meet the requirements of timely and effective blood transfusion for emergency treatment of patients with severe trauma in clinical practice. In order to solve the key problems in blood supply and blood transfusion strategies for emergency treatment of severe trauma, Branch of Clinical Transfusion Medicine of Chinese Medical Association, Group for Trauma Emergency Care and Multiple Injuries of Trauma Branch of Chinese Medical Association, Young Scholar Group of Disaster Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Association organized domestic experts of blood transfusion medicine and trauma treatment to jointly formulate Chinese expert consensus on blood support mode and blood transfusion strategies for emergency treatment of severe trauma patients ( version 2024). Based on the evidence-based medical evidence and Delphi method of expert consultation and voting, 10 recommendations were put forward from two aspects of blood support mode and transfusion strategies, aiming to provide a reference for transfusion resuscitation in the emergency treatment of severe trauma and further improve the success rate of treatment of patients with severe trauma.

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a complication in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The Chinese Children's Cancer Group-ALL-2015 protocol was carried out in China, and epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and risk factors associated with VTE were analyzed. We collected data on VTE in a multi-institutional clinical study of 7640 patients with ALL diagnosed in 20 hospitals from January 2015 to December 2019. First, VTE occurred in 159 (2.08%) patients, including 90 (56.6%) during induction therapy and 108 (67.92%) in the upper extremities. T-ALL had a 1.74-fold increased risk of VTE (95% CI 1.08-2.8, P = 0.022). Septicemia, as an adverse event of ALL treatment, can significantly promote the occurrence of VTE (P < 0.001). Catheter-related thrombosis (CRT) accounted for 75.47% (n = 120); and, symptomatic VTE, 58.49% (n = 93), which was more common in patients aged 12-18 years (P = 0.023), non-CRT patients (P < 0.001), or patients with cerebral thrombosis (P < 0.001). Of the patients with VTE treated with anticoagulation therapy (n = 147), 4.08% (n = 6) had bleeding. The VTE recurrence rate was 5.03% (n = 8). Patients with VTE treated by non-ultrasound-guided venous cannulation (P = 0.02), with residual thrombus (P = 0.006), or with short anticoagulation period (P = 0.026) had high recurrence rates. Thus, preventing repeated venous puncture and appropriately prolonged anticoagulation time can reduce the risk of VTE recurrence.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2023;44(5):769-772
Objective:
To explore the association between incidence of injuries and health related behavior among middle school students in China, to provide evidence for injury prevention.
Methods:
A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1 067 students who were selected from Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Guizhou provinces by using stratified random cluster sampling method. Chi square test and multiple Logistic regression analyses were used to analyze incidence of injuries and health related behavior.
Results:
The prevalence of self injury among middle school students in five provinces was 11.0%, the prevalence of intentional injury was 13.2%. Multiple Logistic regression analyses showed that attempting smoking, not eating breakfast every day, having a low mood more than 2 weeks in the past 6 months were positively correlated with self injury ( OR=3.02, 2.04, 4.30, P <0.01) after adjusting for region, and the smoking attempt behavior was positively correlated with intentional injury ( OR=2.03, P <0.05) after adjusting for region, urban and rural, residence condition, weekly allowance condition.
Conclusion
Smoking attempt behavior could be viewed as a shared predictor for both self injury and intentional injury behavior among middle school students, smoking control intervention should be carried out actively among students.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2023;39(10):858-864
Objective:To summarize and analyze the clinical characteristics of hyperuricemia in adolescents, and improve the awareness of diagnosis and treatment among clinicians. Methods:Four adolescent cases of hyperuricemia with a clear family history were admitted to the Department of Endocrinology, Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from November 2015 to August 2021. Their clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, gene sequencing, and therapeutic effects were analyzed. Results:Among the 4 patients, there were 2 cases with mutation in uromodulin(UMOD)gene(c.453C>T, 1 homozygous mutation in p. C151C; c. 453C>Y, 1 heterozygous mutation in p. C151C); 1 case with compound heterozygous mutation in adenosine triphosphate binding cassette transporter G2(ABCG2)gene(c.421C>A p. Q141K; c. 34G>A p. V12M); and 1 case with homozygous mutation in the ABCG2 gene(c.421C>A, p. Q141K). The blood uric acid levels of 4 patients decreased significantly after medical treatment and lifestyle interventions. Conclusions:In addition to primary etiology, the cause of hyperuricemia in the adolescent can be associated with certain acute and chronic diseases as well as genetic conditions. Genetic testing is recommended for patients with a family history. Medication safety should be stressed in the treatment of adolescents.

OBJECTIVE:To identify Amomum villosum from different habitats and its adulterants. METHODS :Through the identification methods of microscopic characteristics ,microscopic characteristics maps of 9 batches of A. villosum from genuine producing areas ,domestic commercially available A. villosum and its adulterants were obtained. The feature maps were extracted digitally and analyzed by SPSS 21.0 software. RESULTS :Commercially available A. villosum was mainly from Guangdong , Guangxi,Yunnan and Fujian ;the collected adulterants of A. villosum included A. villosum Lour. var. xanthioides T.L.Wu et Senjen , A. aurantiacum H. T. Tsai et S. W. Zhao and other A. species from Yunnan Xishuangbanna , Laos and Myanmar. Under the microscope,it was observed that microscopic characteristics of surface (such as exocarp color ,prickle,non-glandular hairs , endocarp color ,endocarp oil chamber ) of A. villosum from different habitats and its adulterants were different. There was statistically significant difference in fruit width values and endocarp oil point diameter among all samples (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The microscopic characteristics maps of A. villosum from different habitats and its adulterants by the microscopic characteristics identification methods will make up for the deficiency of traditional experience identification. The quantitative analysis of micro-property and the establishment of micro-property database of A. villosum can provide reference for the property identification and quality control of this medicinal material.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2020;36(2):129-132
In December 2019, the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) broke out in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Although the number of newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in provinces outside of Hubei Province has declined continuously since February 4, the epidemic of COVID-19 remains serious. As companies resume work, it is still inevitable that some high-energy orthopedic trauma patients and elderly patients with low-energy fractures will need surgical treatment. The operating room, as a place for close contact between doctors, patients and nurses, increases the risk of infection and transmission. Based on the current needs of orthopedic trauma patients and the situation of the country's resistance to the epidemic of COVID-19, the authors expound the operating room management, preparation of medical materials, transfer of patients needing surgery, intraoperative protection and post-operative end disinfection in Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University so as to provide reference for prevention and control management of the operating room during the epidemic period.
