Objective To investigate the predictive value of serum vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)levels on the outcome of spinal cord electrical stimulation(SCS)in patients with postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).Methods A total of 96 PHN patients who received SCS treatment in Ziy-ang Central Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected.According to the disease outcomes of all PHN patients after 6 months of treatment,a good group(n=71)and a poor group(n=25)were set up.The clinical data of the two groups were collected and the serum VIP and 5-HT levels were detected in all pa-tients before treatment.The predictive value of serum VIP and 5-HT on disease outcome after SCS treatment in PHN patients was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve,and the influencing factors of disease outcome after SCS treatment in PHN patients was explored by multivariate Logistic steppe gression a-nalysis.Results The levels of serum VIP and 5-HT in poor group were higher than those in good group(P＜0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of serum VIP and 5-HT for predicting the disease outcome of PHN patients after SCS treatment were 0.829(95％CI:0.779-0.874)and 0.743(95％CI:0.693-0.793),respec-tively,and the AUC of combined prediction was 0.941(0.891-0.986).There were no significant differences in age,gender,body moss index,education,location of onset,hypertension and drinking history between the two groups(P＞0.05).The time of initial hospital admission in the poor group was longer than that in the good group,skin rash area in the poor group was larger than that in the good group,and diabetes mellitus and smoking history in the poor group were higher than those in the good group(P＜0.05).The time of admis-sion for initial treatment＞3 d(OR=2.188,95％CI:1.383-3.461),skin rash area＞10 cm2(OR=2.018,95％CI:1.283-3.173),diabetes mellitus(OR=2.264,95％CI:1.379-3.717),serum VIP level ≥41.78 ng/L(OR=3.022,95％CI:1.685-5.420),serum 5-HT level ≥99.27 ng/mL(OR=3.579,95％CI:1.885-6.793)were the influencing factors of disease outcome after SCS treatment in PHN patients(P＜0.05).Con-clusion The elevated levels of serum VIP and 5-HT before treatment are associated with poor outcomes after SCS in patients with PHN,and could be used as potential markers to predict the outcomes of SCS in patients with PHN.

Objective To Explore the feasibility and value of deep learning technology for quality control of echocardiography images.Methods A total of 180985 echocardiography images collected from Sichuan Provin-cial People's Hospital between 2015 and 2022 were selected to establish the experimental dataset.Two task models of the echocardiography standard views quality assessment method were trained,including intelligent recognition of seven types of views(six standard views and other views)and quality scoring of six standard views.The predictions of the models on the test set were compared with the results of the sonographer's annotation to assess the accuracy,feasibility,and timeliness of the runs of the two models.Results The overall classification accuracy of the stan-dard views recognition model was 98.90%,the precision was 98.17%,the recall was 98.18%and the F1 value was 98.17%,with the classification results close to the expert recognition level;the average PLCC of the six standard views quality scoring models was 0.933,the average SROCC was 0.929,the average RMSE was 7.95 and the average MAE was 4.83,and the prediction results were in strong agreement with the expert scores.The single-frame inference time after deployment on the 3090 GPU was less than 20 ms,meeting real-time requirements.Conclusion The echocardiography standard views quality assessment method can provide objective and accurate quality assessment results,promoting the development of echocardiography image quality control management towards real-time,objective,and intelligent.

【Objective】 To investigate the matrix effect on the determination of potency in Recombinant Human Coagulation Factor Ⅷ for Injection (rFⅧ). 【Methods】 Two different detection matrices were used to establish two methods for detecting the potency in Recombinant Human Coagulation Factor Ⅷ for Injection. And the matrix effect on the determination of potency was determined, including specificity, linearity, repeatability, accuracy and intermediate precision. 【Results】 As to the specificity, the recoveries of the two substrates at high vs low concentration level were 112% and 110% vs 104% and 109%, respectively. As to the linearity, in the range of (0.125-1.000) IU/mL, the correlation coefficient between concentration and coagulation time of standard/ sample was higher than 0.99. As to the accuracy/repeatability, the recoveries of two matrices was 104% and 102%, and RSD was 2.4% and 1.9%. As to the intermediate precision, personnel factor of two matrices was 0.72 and 0.23, date factor was 0.79 and 0.85, and RSD(for 12 times) was 4.2% and 3.0%. Comparison of two matrices was as follows: Deviation in test results of 6 batches of rFⅧ was all lower than 5%. There was no significant difference between two matrices. 【Conclusion】 The two matrices for potency detection show good performance including specificity, linearity, repeatability, accuracy, and intermediate precision. They are suitable for the determination of potency in rFⅧ products.

Entropy model is widely used in epileptic electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis, but there are few reports on how to objectively select the parameters to compute the entropy model in the analysis of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rfMRI). Therefore, an optimization algorithm to confirm the parameters in multi-scale entropy (MSE) model was proposed, and the location of epileptogenic hemisphere was taken as an example to test the optimization effect by supervised machine learning. The rfMRI data of 20 temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) patients with hippocampal sclerosis, positive on structural magnetic resonance imaging, were divided into left and right groups. Then, the parameters in MSE model were optimized by the receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC) and area under ROC curve (AUC) values in sensitivity analysis, and the entropy value of the brain regions with statistically significant difference between the groups were taken as sensitive features to epileptogenic hemisphere lateral. The optimized entropy values of these bio-marker brain areas were considered as feature vectors input into the support vector machine (SVM). Finally, combining optimized MSE model with SVM could accurately distinguish epileptogenic hemisphere in TLE at an average accuracy rate of 95%, which was higher than the current level. The results show that the MSE model parameter optimization algorithm can accurately extract the functional imaging markers sensitive to the epileptogenic hemisphere, and achieve the purpose of objectively selecting the parameters for MSE in rfMRI, which provides the basis for the application of entropy in advanced technology detection.

Objective:To assess the left ventricular (LV) myocardial mechanical dysfunction in patients with cirrhosis using ultrasonic layer-specific strain imaging and to explore its value in clinical application.Methods:A total of 80 consecutive cirrhosis patients without cardiovascular diseases were prospectively enrolled from October 2020 to March 2021 in Sichuan Provincial People′s Hospital, 39 of whom were assigned to the compensated group and 41 were assigned to the decompensated group according to the occurrence of portal hypertension. Forty-three healthy volunteers during the same period were randomly recruited as the control group. Transthoracic echocardiography was performed to assess the LV configuration and functional parameters. LV global longitudinal strain in endocardial, middle and epicardial myocardium (GLSendo, GLSmid, GLSepi), and longitudinal strain (LS) in basal, middle and apical segments, and peak strain dispersion (PSD) were obtained using ultrasonic layer-specific strain imaging. ΔLS was calculated by the formula of GLSendo-GLSepi. Then, the differences of related parameters among three groups were compared.Results:①Conventional echocardiography: compared with the control group, the interventricular septum end-diastolic thickness (IVSTd), left ventricular posterior wall end-diastolic thickness (LVPWd), left ventricular mass (LVM) and LVM index (LVMI) were increased in compensated and decompensated groups (all P<0.05), while no significant differences in conventional echocardiographic parameters were identified between the two cirrhosis groups (all P>0.05). ②Global layer-specific strain: compared with the control group, GLSendo, GLSmid, GLSepi and ΔLS were decreased and PSD was increased in compensated and decompensated groups (all P<0.05); Moreover, the decompensated group showed a more impaired GLSendo, GLSmid and GLSepi than compensated group (all P<0.05), whereas there were no significant differences of ΔLS and PSD between the two groups(all P>0.05). ③Segmental layer-specific strain: compared with the control group, LS values of three layers in compensated and decompensated groups were reduced at basal, middle and apical levels (all P<0.05); Compared with the compensated group, LS values of three layers in decompensated group tended to be reduced at above there levels, but only apical segments had significant differences (all P<0.05). Conclusions:There are different degrees of LV mechanical dysfunction in patients with variable severity of cirrhosis. Ultrasonic layer-specific strain imaging has the potential to quantitatively assess the state of cardiac involvement in patients with cirrhosis and to provide visual evidence for the early and accurate diagnosis of myocardial injuries.

OBJECTIVES: To understand medical students' mental health, professional pride, and intention to work in the front-line during coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, and provide a reference for psychological intervention. METHODS: We used the depression-anxiety-stress scale and self-designed questionnaire on professional pride, intention to work in the front-line and the extent of family support. Medical students from 4 medical schools in Fujian and Hunan were investigated. Their mental health status, professional pride and first-line work willingness with different characteristics were compared, and the influential factors for professional pride and first-line work willingness were analyzed. RESULTS: A total of 266 valid questionnaires were collected. During the pandemic, there were significant differences in the proportion of depressed students among different college and universities, majors and stages (<0.05), and the professional pride was significantly different (<0.001). Medical students with different mental health status showed significant differences in professional pride (<0.01). Marriage, pressure and extent of family support were the influential factors for their professional pride (<0.05). The latter two were also influential factors for their intention to work in the front-line (<0.05). CONCLUSIONS During the pandemic, students from college and nursing have relatively better mental health and higher professional pride. The professional pride is low in medical students who married, with abnormal stress or low family support. The intention to work in front-line is decreased in students with abnormal stress or low family support.

Objective To evaluate left ventricular ( LV ) myocardial mechanical transmural longitudinal displacement ( LD ) and radial displacement ( RD ) with contrast agent and different power irradiation in open‐chest Beagle canines by ultrasound velocity vector images ( VVI) workstation . Methods T he anesthetized open‐chest Beagle canines were assigned into two groups randomly :Group A ( n ＝6) for baseline ,diagnostic ultrasound power irradiation ( 300 mW) 5 min ,combined with contrast agent irradiation 5 min and contrast agent 20 min conditions ; Group B ( n ＝ 6 ) for baseline and intensity ultrasound irradiation ( 1 W ,2 W and 3 W ,5 min respectively) conditions . T he standard short‐axis and long‐axis gray‐scale view s during three complete cardiac cycles in open‐chest Beagle canine models were acquired . T he peak LD subendomyocardium ( LD‐subendo) ,LD subepimyocardium ( LD‐subepi) ,RD subendomyocardium ( RD‐subendo) and RD subepimyocardium ( RD‐subepi ) of LV were analyzed using a dedicated Syngo VVI method . Results In group A ,the LV LD‐subendo ,LD‐subepi ,RD‐subendo and RD‐subepi in the most of segments showed increasing trend in diagnostic power irradiation ,contrast agent irradiation 5 min and contrast agent 20 min compared with baseline condition ,however the differences were not significant ( P ＞0 .05 ,respectively) . T he peak LD‐subendo and LD‐subepi ,RD‐subendo and RD‐subepi of LV in group A with the same condition were significant different ( all P ＜0 .05) . In group B ,LV LD‐subendo in ultrasonic power 3 W was lower than baseline condition ( P ＜ 0 .05 ) ,LV RD‐subendo was higher compared with baseline condition ( P ＜0 .05) . T he peak LD‐subendo and LD‐subepi ,RD‐subendo and RD‐subepi of LV in group B with the same condition were significant different ( all P ＜ 0 .05) . Conclusions On ultrasonic power 3 W ,LV LD‐subendo is decreased resulting to negative inotropic effect and RD‐subendo is increased to maintain the normal heart work .LV LD and RD on diagnostic ultrasound power irradiation 5 min , combined with contrast agent irradiation 5 min ,contrast agent 20 min conditions ,ultrasonic power 1 W and 2 W are not prominent changes .
