Objective:To discuss the correlation between Helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3(25(OH)D 3)level in the elderly physical examination population. Methods:It was a cross-sectional study. Selecting individuals who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria as the subjects of the study and underwent health check-ups between January 2018 and December 2019 in the Second Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital.According to the Delta Over Baseline (DOB) value of 13C urea breath test, the subjects were divided into two groups: those with DOB value≥4 ( n=1 018) were diagnosed as Hp-positive and were included in the positive group, and the others were Hp-negative and were included in the negative group (DOB value<4, n=2 067). The age, gender, height, weight, disease history, family disease history and other basic medical records were recorded; and blood samples were drawn for analysis of blood test, blood biochemical test etc. Then the serum 25(OH)D 3 levels were compared between the two groups. The influencing factors of Hp infection were analyzed using a multifactor logistic regression model and the confounding factors were also adjusted. Results:A total of 3 085 elderly people (male 1 838, female 1 247) were selected in this study, the median age is 64 years, the detection rate of Hp was 33%. Single factor analysis showed that the serum 25(OH)D 3 level in the positive group was significantly lower than that in the negative group (20.59 ng/ml vs 21.07 ng/ml, P=0.012). Binary logistic regression analysis showed that the serum 25(OH)D 3 level was a negative influence factor on Hp infection( OR=0.984, P=0.008). High level of serum 25(OH)D 3 can reduce the risk of Hp infection ( OR=0.707, P=0.002). The three constructed Hp infection risk prediction models still showed statistically significant after controlling for confounding factors. Conclusion:The study shows a correlation between serum 25(OH)D 3 level and the Hp infection in the elderly people, and low level of serum 25(OH)D 3 is an independent risk factor for Hp infection in the elderly population.

Objective To investigate the effects of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) on global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. Methods Twenty-four rabbits of both sexes aged 6 months weighing 2.2-3.0 kg were randomized into 3 groups ( n = 8 each) : group I sham operation; group Ⅱ I/R and group Ⅲ I/R + bFGF. The animals were anesthetized with diazepam, haloperidol and fentanyl. The right femoral artery was cannulated for BP monitoring and blood-letting. The animals were tracheotomized and mechanically ventilated (VT = 8 ml ?kg -1 , RR = 40 bpm, I: E = 1:2). PET CO2 was maintained at 40 mm Hg. Global cerebral I/R was induced by "occlusion of four vessels + hypotension" . Bilateral common carotid arteries and vertebral arteries were occluded for 30 min combined with hypotension, which was produced by blood-letting and maintained at 50%-60% of the baseline level. The four vessels were then released for reperfusion and BP was returned to baseline level by retrieval of the removed blood. In sham operation group ( Ⅰ ) the four blood vessels were exposed but not occluded. In group Ⅲ a loading dose of 30 ?g?kg-1 bFGF was given Ⅳ at the end of 30 min ischemia followed by bFGF infusion at 10 ?g? kg-1? h-1 for 6 h. In I/R group ( Ⅱ ) normal saline was given IV instead of bFGF. Blood samples were taken before I/R (T0 , baseline) and at 0, 0.5, 1, 3, 6 h (T1-5) of reperfusion for determination of serum neuron specific enolase (NSE) and S-100B concentrations. At the end of the experiment the animals were killed and brains removed for determination of brain water content and microscopic examination. Results Serum NSE and S-100B concentrations in group Ⅱ and Ⅲ were significantly increased at T4 5 as compared to the baseline (T0) and were significantly higher at T4 5 than those in sham operation group ( Ⅰ ) . Serum NSE and S-100B concentrations were significantly lower in group Ⅲ (I/R + bFGF) than in groupⅡ (I/R). Serum NSE and S-100B were positively correlated ( r = 0.736, P

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the absorbability polyvinylidene chloride(PVC) infusion vessel to ciclosporin.METHODS:The concentration of ciclosporin was determined by HPLC after storing in the PVC infusion packages or glass bottle for different period of time and its change was investigated as well.RESULTS:The adsorption rate of PVC infusion vessel to ciclosporin increased time-dependently,with a peak value of 38.66% at 12 h,which was significant as compared with glass infusion bottle at the same time.CONCLUSION:The PVC infusion package has stronger absorbability to ciclosporin, thus its use should be avoided if possible.
