Objective: To enhance the ability of nanoparticles to target and bind tumor cells by constructing a neutrophil hitchhiking system based on hyaluronic acid (HA)-modified dual-drug loaded lipid nanoparticles. Methods: Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) were prepared using microfluidic technology, and the nitrogen/phosphate (N/P) ratio, flow rate ratio, and drug-to-lipid ratio were optimized. HA-modified LNPs (HA-LNPs) were prepared and characterized. The interaction between the nanoparticles and tumor cells was evaluated through in vitro cell experiments. Results: The optimal preparation conditions for LNPs are N/P=8, flow rate ratio=5, and drug-to-lipid ratio=1∶30 (w∶w). HA-LNPs has a particle size of (177.28±2.41) nm, a polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.198±0.10, and an siRNA encapsulation efficiency of (91.37±0.47)%. The optimal binding rate with neutrophils was (98.64±2.34)%. Conclusion: An HA-modified dual-drug loaded lipid nanoparticle-neutrophil hitchhiking system was successfully constructed, enhancing the synergistic anti-tumor activity of the nanomedicine and the uptake of nanoparticles by tumor cells, providing a novel delivery strategy for targeted therapy of bone marrow tumors.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(7):977-981
Objective:
To explore the relationship between 24 h movement behaviors and mobile phone addiction among higher vocational college students, and to examine the mediating role of fear of missing out (FoMO), so as to provide a basis for developing intervention measures for mobile phone addiction.
Methods:
Using convenience sampling, a questionnaire survey was conducted from March to June 2023 among 1 962 students from 12 higher vocational colleges across Beijing, Shandong Province, Fujian Province, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Assessments were performed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ-S), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Mobile Phone Addiction Tendency Scale (MPATS), and Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOs). Compositional data analysis and the Bootstrap method were utilized to test the mediating effects.
Results:
The detection rate of high risk mobile phone addiction among higher vocational college students was 33.2 %. Compositional regression results showed that in the isometric log ratio (ilr) coordinate space, a relative increase in sedentary behavior was significantly associated with an increase in mobile phone addiction and FoMO levels ( B =26.06, 13.44); a relative increase in sleep was significantly associated with a decrease in mobile phone addiction and FoMO levels ( B =-13.53, -6.60 ); a relative increase in moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) was significantly associated with a decrease in mobile phone addiction and FoMO levels ( B =-4.92, -2.18) (all P <0.01). The associations between light physical activity and mobile phone addiction or FoMO levels were not statistically significant ( B =-0.71, 0.27, both P >0.05). FoMO played a significant partial mediating role in the relationships between sedentary behavior, sleep, MVPA, and mobile phone addiction, with indirect effects of 7.54, -4.07, and -2.35, accounting for 28.93%, 30.04%, and 47.72% of the total effects, respectively. The isotemporal substitution model predicted that replacing 15 min of sedentary behavior with 15 min of sleep daily would result in the largest reduction in mobile phone addiction scores among higher vocational college students (0.78 scores).
Conclusions
Structural imbalance in 24 h movement behaviors among higher vocational college students is associated with mobile phone addiction, and FoMO plays a partial mediating role. Reducing sedentary behavior, ensuring adequate sleep, and increasing MVPA may help lower the risk of mobile phone addiction.

BACKGROUND:Eucommia ulmoides has a certain osteogenic effect, which can promote the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts. However,it is unclear whether Eucommia ulmoides has effects on alveolar bone formation and Wnt/β-Catenin signaling pathway. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the mechanism by which Eucommia ulmoides promotes alveolar bone formation in ovariectomized rats based on the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling pathway. METHODS:Sixty female Sprague-Dawley rats were selected and randomly divided into five groups:blank control group,sham-operation group, model group,low-dose group Eucommia ulmoides group, and high-dose Eucommia ulmoides group, with twelve rats in each group.Osteoporosis animal models were constructed by bilateral oophorectomy in the model group and the low-dose and high-dose Eucommia ulmoides groups. The sham-operation group underwent the same method to remove adipose tissue of equal mass around the bilateral ovaries.Three months after surgery, the low-and high-dose Eucommia ulmoides groups were given 2.1 g/kg/d and 4.2 g/kg/d Eucommia ulmoides by gavage, respectively. The sham-operation group and model group were given the same amount of physiological saline by gavage. After 12 weeks of drug intervention, the changes in alveolar bone mass of rats in each group were observed through Micro-CT;hematoxylin-eosin staining was used to observe the pathological structural changes of alveolar bone in rats;enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the expression levels of alkaline phosphatase and osteocalcin in the serum of rats;western blot was used to detect the expression levels of β-Catenin and Frizzled9 receptor proteins in the alveolar bone of rats;and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression of osteocalcin,Runt-related transcription factor 2(Runx2),alkaline phosphatase,β-catenin,and frizzled9 mRNAs in alveolar bone tissues of rats. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the blank control group, bone volume fraction, trabecular number, trabecular thickness, and bone mineral density were reduced in the model group(P<0.05),and trabecular separation was elevated(P<0.05).Pathological observation showed that the arrangement of trabeculae was disordered and irregular, the trabeculae were thinned or broken, and the marrow cavity was enlarged in the model group, with a significant reduction in bone volume;the level of alkaline phosphatase in the serum was increased(P<0.05),and the level of osteocalcin was decreased(P<0.05);mRNA expression of alkaline phosphatase,osteocalcin,Runx2,β-catenin,and frizzled9 were decreased(P<0.05);protein expression of β-Catenin and Frizzled9 was decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the model group, the low-and high-dose Eucommia ulmoides groups showed an increase in bone volume fraction, trabecular number, trabecular thickness, and bone mineral density(P<0.05)and a decrease in trabecular separation(P<0.05).In the low-and high-dose Eucommia ulmoides groups, bone trabeculae were slightly aligned and thickened, with a significant increase in bone mass.Compared with the model group, the serum level of alkaline phosphatase was reduced(P<0.05)and the serum level of osteocalcin was elevated(P<0.05)in the low-and high-dose Eucommia ulmoides groups.Compared with the model group, the mRNA expression of alkaline phosphatase,osteocalcin,Runx2,β-catenin,and frizzled9 were increased in the low-and high-dose Eucommia ulmoides groups(P<0.05).Compared with the model group, the protein expression of Frizzled9 was increased in the low-dose Eucommia ulmoides group(P<0.05),while the protein expression of β-Catenin and Frizzled9 was increased in the high-dose Eucommia ulmoides group(P<0.05).Compared with the low-dose Eucommia ulmoides group, the high-dose Eucommia ulmoides group had a more significant improvement in the above indexes. To conclude,Eucommia ulmoides can effectively promote the alveolar bone formation, and its mechanism of action might be related to the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) released the "2024 ESC guidelines for the management of elevated blood pressure and hypertension" on August 30, 2024. This guideline updates the 2018 "Guidelines for the management of arterial hypertension." One notable update is the introduction of the concept of "elevated blood pressure" (120-139/70-89 mm Hg). Additionally, a new systolic blood pressure target range of 120-129 mm Hg has been proposed for most patients receiving antihypertensive treatment. The guideline also includes numerous additions or revisions in areas such as non-pharmacological interventions and device-based treatments for hypertension. This article interprets the guideline's recommendations on definition and classification of elevated blood pressure and hypertension, and cardiovascular disease risk assessment, diagnosing hypertension and investigating underlying causes, preventing and treating elevated blood pressure and hypertension. We provide a comparison interpretation with the 2018 "Guidelines for the management of arterial hypertension" and the "2017 ACC/AHA guideline on the prevention, detection, evaluation, and management of high blood pressure in adults."

[Objective]To evaluate the utility of left atrial(LA)volume and strain measured by 4D auto left atrial quantification(4D auto LAQ)in differentiating pre-capillary from post-capillary pulmonary hypertension(PH),and to compare its discriminative performance with echocardiographic pulmonary to left atrial global strain ratio(ePLAGS).[Methods]A total of ninety-eight subjects with intermediate to high probability of PH were prospectively enrolled.Clinical history and laboratory data were collected. All patients underwent comprehensive transthoracic echocardiography, and LA volume and strain parameters were measured by dedicated commercial software for LA 4D analysis.[Results]Based on pulmonary arterial wedge pressure, patients were divided into pre-capillary PH group[n=39;mean age(53±24)years]and post-capillary PH group[n=59;mean age(57±18)years].Compared to the pre-capillary PH group, the post-capillary PH group showed significantly higher LAVImax,LAVImin and LAVIpreA but markedly lower LASr and LAScd.Multivariate logistic regression identified LAVImax[OR:1.40;95%CI:(1.052,1.872);P=0.021]and LAScd[OR:1.76;95%CI:(1.183,2.489);P=0.004]as independent predictors of post-capillary PH.ROC analysis demonstrated that LAVImax(AUC=0.82,P<0.001)and LAScd(AUC=0.78,P<0.001)had strong discriminating power for predicting post-capillary PH group, with optimal cutoff values of 35.69 mL/m2(sensitivity 86%,specificity 74%)and-9%(sensitivity 80%,specificity70%).[Conclusion]LAVImax and LAScd measured with 4D auto LAQ are robust parameters for distinguishing pre-capillary PH from post-capillary PH.
