Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a type of endogenous noncoding RNAs with covalently looped structures. Compared with other noncoding RNAs, circRNAs have the characteristics of stable structures, high abundance and tissue-specific expression. Recent studies have demonstrated that circRNAs can act as sponges, decoys and scaffolds for microRNAs and proteins, and play an important role in skin tumors. This review summarizes recent advances in the functions and mechanisms of action of circRNAs in common skin tumors, in order to understand the way in which they affect skin tumors, and to assess the value of further research on them.

To understand the background of Escherichia coli(E.coli)carried by artificially bred sika deer and the biological characteristics of the isolated strains, such as drug resistance and pathogenicity,in April 2024,we collected 184 fresh deer fecal samples from four deer farms in Luxiang Township,Shuangyang District,Changchun City,Jilin Province, for isolation and cultivation of E.coli.The isolates were tested for drug resistance and biochemical identification with a BD PhoenixTM-100 Automated Microbiology System. The virulence genes were detected with PCR,and the strains were molecularly typed with ERIC-PCR.A total of 165 E.coli strains were isolated from 184 samples of deer feces, with an isolation rate of 89.67%.Twenty strains had a drug resistance phenotype, and the drug resistance rate was 12.12%;these strains included 15 strains of multi-drug resistant bacteria and 11 strains of ESBL-producing bacteria.Virulence gene detection indicated that the sika deer isolates carried multiple diarrhea-associated virulence genes, such as EAST-1(12.12%),eae(1.21%),stx1(7.88%),stx2(7.27%),and STa(1.82%).ERIC-PCR demonstrated that the isolates showed high polymorphism. The ESBL-producing E.coli carried by sika deer are likely to spread drug resistance in the community and livestock population. Some isolates carried multiple diarrhea-associated virulence genes, thus posing a human transmission risk. Therefore, monitoring of drug resistance and virulence genes must be strengthened, and antibiotics must be used reasonably during the breeding process to avoid excessive use and misuse.

Widespread utilization of glyphosate has led to environmental residues, posing potential threats to ecological systems and human health.Traditional methods for detection of glyphosate are limited by specialized equipment and operational techniques, resulting in inefficient responses. Therefore,it is urgent to develop a convenient, sensitive and accurate detection method for detection of glyphosate.Herein,a new naphthalenesulfonamide-based"Turn-on"fluorescent probe was synthesized using 2-chloroaniline and dansyl chloride as raw materials through a one-step process, which showed a good linear relationship between the glyphosate concentration in concentration range of 0.003-70 μmol/L and the fluorescence intensity(R2=0.995),with a detection limit of 2.73 nmol/L(S/N=3).Analytical techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectroscopy and high-resolution mass spectrometry(HRMS)were used to investigate the interaction mechanism between the fluorescent probe and glyphosate. The results indicated that a nucleophilic substitution reaction occurred between the probe and the secondary amine(—NH—)of glyphosate, inducing a photoinduced electron transfer(PET)effect which enhanced the fluorescence intensity by 11.2 times. The probe showed good anti-interference ability towards coexisting metal ions, anions and pesticides in water. When applied to determination of glyphosate in the samples such as tap water, river water(Xiangxi River Reservoir),soil, soybeans, and corn, the spiking recoveries ranged from 94.7%to 109.9%,demonstrating the high accuracy and broad applicability of this detection method.A portable test strip based on this fluorescent probe was developed for rapid semi-quantitative analysis of glyphosate. The developed method was rapid, sensitive, and portable, providing theoretical and technical support for on-site measurement of environmental contaminants.

Objective:To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of child injuries(CI)and provide a scientific basis for developing CI prevention and treatment strategies. Methods:Clinical data of CI cases admitted to Kunshan Woman and Children’s Healthcare Hospital from January 1st,2020 to December 31st,2022 were collected. The cases were classified into three age groups:infants and toddlers(0-3 years),preschoolers(4-6 years),and school-age children(7-14 years). Post hoc testing was used for pairwise comparisons between groups, and differences were determined based on adjusted standardized residuals(AR). The epidemiological characteristics that were analyzed included the type, location, and nature of injuries across these age groups. Results:A total of 12 449 CI cases were collected with a male-to-female ratio of 1.72∶1. School-age boys were more prone to injuries(72.2%, AR=16.3)compared to the other two age groups. The major CI types were falls(50.4%),blunt injuries(15.9%),and strains(9.9%). The infant and toddler group showed higher rates of strains(21.9%, AR=34.9)and poisonings(7.9%, AR=19.6)compared to the other two groups, while preschoolers group had higher rates of falls(55.6%, AR=6.5)and motor vehicle accidents(4.8%, AR=3.6)compared to other age groups. The most frequently injured body regions were upper limbs(43.9%),head/face/neck(27.0%),and lower limbs(16.7%). The infant and toddler group had higher rates of head/face/neck(34.8%, AR=15.4),upper limb(46%, AR=3.6),and whole body(8.9%, AR=18.7)injuries. The nature of CI mainly includes contusion/bruise/crush injury(34.3%),fractures(20.0%)and sharp/open wounds(19.5%). School-age children exhibited higher rates of fractures(30.1%, AR=22.1),strains/sprains(10.1%, AR=13.0),contusion/bruise/crush injury(36.6%, AR=4.2),and multi-site injuries(0.7%, AR=4.4)compared to the other two groups. Injuries were mostly mild(90.8%),with infants and toddlers showing higher mild injury rates(95.0%, AR=12.7),whereas school-aged children had more moderate injuries(11.7%, AR=11.0). Conclusion:The epidemiological characteristics of CI in infants and toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children are different, and different intervention strategies are needed for different age groups.

Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2025;31(2):99-103
In recent years, the breakthroughs in optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology have moved from the tissue into the subcellular structure, and OCT imaging technologies represented by dynamic optical coherence tomography (D-OCT) and line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT) have become more and more widely used in the field of dermatological research, and now full-field optical coherence tomography (FF-OCT), which has a higher cellular resolution than LC-OCT, has also achieved significant results in the assessment of disease conditions and therapeutic prognosis by virtue of its advantages. OCT is also used in conjunction with conventional skin imaging to provide a more comprehensive picture of the skin lesion by collecting different dimensions of imaging information. This article mainly introduces D-OCT, LC-OCT and FF-OCT, which are widely used in scientific research and clinical practice, summarises the use and significance of OCT in different categories of skin diseases, and puts forward the thinking of OCT in the future development.
