Erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp (EPDS) is a rare superficial skin inflammatory disease that occurs on the scalp, and its pathogenesis is still unclear. Its clinical manifestations are similar to those of infective inflammation and malignant tumors, and its diagnosis is highly dependent on non-specific pathological changes, so the diagnosis is relatively difficult. Clinically, topical glucocorticoids are the main treatment method, but treatment outcomes vary greatly among individuals, and patients with refractory EPDS need other treatment methods. EPDS generally requires long-term topical glucocorticoid therapy, and adverse drug reactions are common. This review summarizes research progress in EPDS in recent years, in order to improve clinicians' understanding of this disease.

Congenital triangular alopecia is a kind of non-inflammatory and non-cicatricial alopecia, and most cases develop this disease at the ages of 2 - 9 years. The pathogenesis of congenital triangular alopecia is still unclear, and there is a lack of effective treatments. Congenital triangular alopecia is rather liable to be misdiagnosed and erroneously treated, and dermoscopy helps confirm the diagnosis. This review summarizes the progress in the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical diagnosis, and treatment of congenital triangular alopecia.

Clinical Medicine of China 2025;41(4):316-320
Rotator cuff injury is a shoulder disease most commonly seen with the elderly, and as China enters an aging society, the number of patients with rotator cuff injury is rapidly increasing. For patients with poor results of conservative treatment and serious conditions, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair has become the first choice due to less trauma and better efficacy. However, the rehabilitation exercise time required for postoperative functional recovery is long, and at the same time, the existence of a series of complications seriously affects patients' postoperative recovery and quality of life. The purpose of this article is to summarize the complications and preventive measures after arthroscopic rotator cuff injury repair, and to provide help for the diagnosis and treatment of postoperative complications and postoperative rehabilitation.

OBJECTIVE To construct ensemble learning models for predicting high-use days of budesonide based on meteorological factors, thereby providing reference for hospital pharmacy management. METHODS Meteorological data for 2024 and outpatient budesonide usage data from the jurisdiction of Sanming Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine were collected. High-use days were defined as the 75th percentile of outpatient budesonide usage, and a corresponding dataset was established. The prediction task was formulated as a classification problem, and three ensemble learning models were developed: Random Forest, Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), and Histogram-based Gradient Boosting Classifier. Model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and log-loss. Model interpretability was analyzed using Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP). RESULTS The Histogram-based Gradient Boosting Classifier achieved the best performance (accuracy=0.75, F1-score=0.48), followed by XGBoost (accuracy=0.74, F1-score=0.43) and Random Forest (accuracy=0.72, F1-score=0.22). SHAP results suggested that the prediction results of the last two models have the highest correction. CONCLUSIONS Ensemble learning models can effectively predict high-use days of budesonide, with the Histogram- based Gradient Boosting Classifier demonstrating the best predictive performance. Low temperature, high humidity, and low atmospheric pressure show significant positive impacts on the prediction of daily budesonide usage.

Morphea alopecia is a rare secondary cicatricial alopecia, often caused by linear scleroderma of the scalp. When hair loss appears as the only symptom of morphea, it is easily confused with other localized alopecia. The diagnosis of morphea alopecia depends on histopathologic and dermoscopic examinations. In order to improve the understanding of morphea alopecia among clinicians, this review summarizes research progress in its pathogenesis, clinical and pathological characteristics, diagnosis and treatment.

Objective:To systematically evaluate the disease experience and inner needs of young and middle-aged patients with end-stage renal disease, so as to provide evidence for medical personnel to pay more attention to the mental health of this population and give personalized care. Methods:The qualitative studies on the real experience, psychological feeling and experience of young and middle-aged patients with end-stage renal disease were searched by PsycInfo, PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Network, Wanfang, VIP and China Biomedical Literature Database. The retrieval period was from the establishment of the database to April 20, 2024. Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-based Health Care Center Evaluation criteria (2016 edition) were used to evaluate the literature quality, and the results were summarized and integrated by aggregative meta-integration method. Results:A total of 10 studies were included, and 47 clear findings were extracted and classified into 10 new categories, which were combined into 4 integrated results: the phased changes of patients′ real experience at all levels of body, mind and society, impairment of their own and family role functions, desire for support and lack of autonomy in decision-making, and reconstruction of positive attitude and future outlook in the face of disease. Conclusions:Nursing staff should pay attention to and understand the psychosocial conditions of young and middle-aged patients with end-stage renal disease, timely provide targeted psychological support and help to enhance their confidence in treatment, better return to work and society, and improve their quality of life.

[Objective]To establish the high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)characteristic chromatogram and multi-index contents determination method of Yunvjian, clarify the quantitative and qualitative transfer law from decoction pieces-references sample-granules.[Methods]The HPLC characteristic chromatogram of Yunvjian references sample and granules was established using Thermoscientific Syncronis aQ C18 chromatographic column(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm),acetonitrile(A)-0.1%phosphoric acid water(B)as mobile phase, detection wavelength as 240 nm,adopting gradient elution.Five index components, including rehmannioside D,neomangiferin,mangiferin,β-ecdysterone and acteoside, were selected to establish an HPLC method with detection wavelengths of 203 nm and 240 nm.The content of the index components and the transfer rate in different samples were calculated.[Results]The similarity of the HPLC characteristic chromatograms of 10 batches of the Yunvjian references samples and 3 batches of granules is all greater than 0.950.A total of 12 common peaks are attributed, and 6 of them are identified. All the 12 common peaks in the reference samples are stably transferred to the granules. The 5 index components showed excellent linearity(r≥0.9999)within their respective concentration ranges, and the average sample recovery rate is 99.16%~102.26%.The methodological investigation of the content determination meets the relevant requirements.During the process of preparing the Yunvjian from decoction pieces to granules, the transfer rates of the 5 components are 46.31%~52.30%,31.89%~41.46%,28.65%~33.85%,41.28%~48.59%and 49.59%~75.20%,respectively,all within the range of the average value±30%.[Conclusion]The HPLC characteristic chromatogram and content determination method established are accurate and reliable, and the quantitative and qualitative transfer law of decoction pieces-granules is relatively stable, which can provide an objective basis for the preparation development and quality control of Yunvjian.
