Objective:To investigate the characteristics of Internet addiction(IA)in adolescents with depression and explore its relationship with impulsivity and aggressive personality traits.Methods:A total of 71 adolescent patients with depressive disorders were recruited from the Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic of Peking University Sixth Hospital between April 2021 and November 2022 (15 males, 56 females; median age 14 [13, 15] years) as the depressive disorder group. Additionally, 83 healthy adolescents (27 males, 56 females; median age 14 [13, 17] years) were recruited as the control group during the same period. Internet addiction was assed using the Chinese version of Young′s Internet Addiction Test (YIAT), with a total score≥50 indicating internet addiction. Impulsivity was evaluated using the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11(BIS-11), and aggression was measured with the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire(BPAQ). Differences in internet addiction, impulsivity, and aggression between the depression group and the control group were analyzed. Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between internet addiction and impulsivity, aggression. Hierarchical linear regression models were used to analyze the factors influencing internet addiction, and a parallel mediation model was used to examine the mediating effect of impulsivity and aggressive personality traits in the relationship between depressive disorders and internet addiction.Results:The prevalence of IA was significantly higher in adolescents with depression than the healthy control group [57.75%(41/71) vs 31.33%(26/83); χ 2=10.87, P<0.001]. Adolescents with depressive disorders also exhibited higher impulsivity (65.5±9.2 vs 57.0±9.2, t=-5.72, P<0.001) and aggression (56.3±16.0 vs 42.4±15.1, t=-5.13, P<0.001) compared to the control group. Internet addiction was positively correlated with aggression ( r=0.47, P<0.01) and impulsivity ( r=0.57, P<0.01). Hierarchical regression analysis with the YIAT total score as the dependent variable revealed that impulsivity ( β=0.48, P<0.001) and aggression ( β=0.24, P<0.001) significantly predicted internet addiction. Mediation analysis indicated that depressive disorders indirectly indirectly influenced internet addiction through parallel paths of impulsivity and aggression, with a total indirect effect of 0.543 (95% CI: 0.362-0.761). Conversely, internect addiction influenced depressive disorders through reverse parallel pathway of impulsivity and aggression with a total indirect effect of 0.038 (95% CI: 0.021-0.067). Direct effects were not significant in either direction. Conclusion:Adolescents with depressive disorders exhibit more internet addiction. Impulsivity and aggressive personality traits play bidirectional mediating roles in the relationship between depressive disorders and internet addiction.

Objective:To explore the association between the gross motor development of children and Chi-nese developmental dyslexia.Methods:A total of 54 children were enrolled,indadit 27 children with Chinese DD and 27 age-gender-matched normal children.The Test of Gross Motor Development-Third Edition(TGMD-3),and the balance tests from the Movement Assessment Battery for Children(M-ABC)were used to evaluate the children's gross motor development level.Children's reading ability was evaluated by primary school students'literacy test question bank,one-minute reading task,and the Reading Test on Pupils.Results:The overall analysis of motortests showed that the grossmotor total score,locomotor score,object control score,and balance score in the DD group were significantly lower than those in the normal control group(P＜0.05).Logistic regression analysis revealed a negative association between balance scores,locomotor scores,object control scores,TGMD-3 total scores and indi-viduals with dyslexia(OR=3.08,1.35,1.16,1.13,Ps＜0.05).Conclusion:The delayed gross motor development of children is associated with the occurrence of Chinese developmental dyslexia.

ObjectiveTo investigate the developmental characteristics of gross motor skills and executive functions, and the correlation between them in school-age children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). MethodsFrom November, 2020 to May, 2021, 90 children with ADHD were recruited from Peking University Sixth Hospital and Beijing Haidian Wanquan Primary School, and other 90 children with normal development from this primary school were recruited matched their age and gender. Gross motor skills were assessed with the Test of Gross Motor Development in Children, Third Edition (TGMD-3), and inhibitory control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility were assessed with Stroop Color Words Test (SCWT), Rey-Osterrich Complex Figure Test (ROCFT) and Trail Making Test (TMT), respectively. ResultsThe TGMD-3 score was significantly lower in children with ADHD than in normal children (t = -6.275, P < 0.001), while the test results of SCWT, ROCFT and TMT were worse (|t| ≥ 1.986, P ≤ 0.05). The TGMD-3 score of children with ADHD was negatively correlated with the word sense reaction time (r = -0.261), the number of word sense errors (r = -0.404) and the number of color errors (r = -0.326) (P < 0.05), positively correlated with the delayed structural memory scores (r = 0.228) (P < 0.05), and negatively correlated with the TMT-A reaction time (r = -0.255), the number of TMT-A errors (r = -0.329), TMT-B reaction time (r = -0.214) and the number of TMT-B errors (r = -0.474) (P < 0.05). Stratified linear regression analyses showed that the TGMD-3 score of children with ADHD was significant only in predicting test results for inhibitory control and cognitive flexibility (P < 0.05), with explanations of 8.7% and 22.5%, respectively. ConclusionDevelopments of both gross motor skills and executive function delay in children with ADHD, and there is a relation between them, especially the level of gross motor skills relating to the developments of inhibitory control and cognitive flexibility.

Objective:To investigate the characteristics of cortical morphology in children with attention defi-cit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)and those with oppositional defiant disorder(ODD)from both categorical and dimensional analyses.Methods:A total of 72 children were enrolled,including 16 children with ADHD and ODD,20 children with ADHD without ODD,and 36 age-gender-matched normal children.The diagnoses were made ac-cording to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fourth Edition(DSM-Ⅳ)criteria.The Chi-nese Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children(C-WISC)was used to access intelligence quotient.All subjects par-ticipated in the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)scan.The features of cortical morphology were determined using FreeSurfer software.Results:Children with ADHD and ODD[(6 528.1±857.5)mm3 vs.(7 591.2±657.3)]and children with ADHD only[(6 867.2±41.3)mm3 vs.(7 591.2±657.3)mm3]had smaller volume in the left later-al superior temporal gyrus(P＜0.05)than controls.No difference was found between ADHD with ODD group and ADHD without ODD group.There was no correlation between the cortical volume of left lateral superior temporal gyrus and ODD symptoms.Conclusion:The reduced cortical volume of left lateral superior temporal gyrus may be an important indication of the abnormal brain structure of ADHD in children.And comorbid status of ODD dose not change this structural variation.

Objectives:To analyze the performance and characteristics of adolescent suicide attempters in dif-ferent dimensions of decision making,a computational model was used in this study.Methods:A total of 70 adoles-cent suicide attempters with mood disorders meeting the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Re-lated Health Problems,Tenth Revision(ICD-10)diagnosis,40 non-suicide attempters with mood disorder,and 49 normal controls were included.By using the MCQ and IGT and through computational model analysis,the adoles-cent suicide attempters'performance and underlying cognitive components in impulsive decision making and value-and learning-based decision making were analyzed.Results:The overall delay discounting rates showed no signifi-cant differences(P＞0.05)among the group of suicide attempters,patient controls,and normal controls in the MCQ.This rate was significantly higher in suicide attempters and non-suicide attempters than in normal controls(P＜0.05);there was no significant difference between the three groups of subjects'decision making performance in the IGT(P＞0.05).Computational model analysis revealed that compared to non-suicide attempters and normal controls,suicide attempters showed reduced sensitivity to the outcome as well as reduced exploratory behavior(Pa-rameter estimate with non-overlapping 80％HDI).Conclusion:Adolescent suicide attempters may not be able to learn from the outcome of the decision and explore more possible options to resolve the crisis,as well as impulsive decision-making impairment may be associated with depressed states rather than suicide attempts.

Objective:To explore the role of intrapersonal and interpersonal emotion regulation in the relation-ship between negative life events and suicidal ideation among college students.Methods:Totally 833 college students were assessed with the Adolescent Self-Rating Life Events Check List(ASLEC),Negative Cognitive Emo-tion Regulation Questionnaire-Chinese Version(NCER),Interpersonal Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(IERQ),and Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation-Chinese Version(BSI)to evaluate their negative life events,negative cognitive emotion regulation(a type of intrapersonal emotional regulation),interpersonal emotion regulation,and suicidal ide-ation.The SPSS macro program PROCESS(version 3.3)was used to test the moderated mediation model.Re-sults:The ASLEC scores were positive correlated with the BSI scores(r=0.18,P＜0.01).The NCER scores played a partial mediating role in the relationship between ASLEC scores and BSI scores,and the value of mediating effect was 62.45％.The IERQ scores moderated the relationship between NCER scores and BSI scores(β=-0.08,P＜0.01).Conclusion:Negative cognitive emotion regulation of college students plays a mediating role in the positive relationship between negative life events and suicidal ideation.Interpersonal emotional regulation plays a moderating role in the positive effect of negative cognitive emotional regulation on suicidal ideation.

Objective: To examine independent food purchasing behavior and influence factors among primary and secondary school students, and to provide evidence for formulating and implementing corresponding intervention measures. Methods: Using a two stage stratified random cluster sampling principle, 976 primary and secondary school students in Haidian District of Beijing were selected to participate in a questionnaire survey from March to May 2021, and students independent food purchases and associated factors were considered. Results: The proportion of middle school students who often purchased food independently (22.79%) was higher than that of primary school students(16.77%)( χ 2=5.58， P <0.05). The proportion of middle school students and primary school students who sometimes purchased food independently was 66.32% and 60.33%, respectively( χ 2=3.78， P >0.05). The proportion of middle school students who never purchased food independently (10.88%) was lower than that of primary school students(22.90%)( χ 2=25.10， P <0.05). The proportion of middle school students and primary school students who often purchased food with their parents was 30.80% and 32.52%, respectively( χ 2=0.33， P >0.05). The factors that primary and secondary school students often considered when purchasing food included personal factors (e.g., physical and psychological factors), family factors, social factors, and the food itself. The top five factors that middle school students often considered when purchasing food were taste, hygiene, production date, student s mood, and advertisement. The top five factors that primary school students often considered when purchasing food were hygiene, taste, production date, advertising, and quality. The proportion of students with consideration of nutritional value, calorie level and collocation type, as well as other nutritional factors, when purchasing food was low, no significant differences were observed between primary and middle school students( χ 2=3.25，2.93，3.06， P >0.05). Conclusion Independent food purchasing behavior is prevalent among primary and secondary school students. Nutritional awareness among middle and primary school students is low. Effective and comprehensive nutrition interventions should be actively carried out for primary and secondary school students, while considering multiple dimensions such as schools, families and society, so as to encourage students to adopt a healthy diet.

Objective:To evaluate the working memory (WM) performance of adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using event-related potential (ERP), and to examine whether there is output dysfunction of their WM resource under increasing memory load.Method:Forty-three adult ADHD patients, and 40 healthy controls matched in gender ratio, age and IQ were recruited to participate in the study. All participants were required to perform a verbal n-back test with EEG recording. Behavioral indices including reaction time (RT), intra-individual reaction time variability (ISD) and accuracy rate were recorded by software E-prime. Meanwhile, electrophysiology indexes were recorded by EEG/ERP recording system EGI. Comparisons were conducted between ADHD patients and normal controls on their behavioral performances of RT, accuracy rate and ISD and their electrophysiology component of P300. Pearson correlation analysis was used to compare the correlation between behavioral, electrophysiological indicators and clinical symptoms.Results:Behaviorally, ADHD patients performed with a longer RT than healthy controls under 1-back ((505±100) ms vs. (457±75) ms, F(1, 81)=5.94, P=0.017) and 2-back ((573±125) ms vs. (511±100) ms, F(1, 81)=6.05, P=0.016). Main effect of group on ISD was found ( F(1, 81)=6.03, P=0.016), where adult ADHD patients performed significantly higher than healthy controls. Neurophysiolocally, significantly lower amplitude of P300 component under 2-back task was found among ADHD patients compared to healthy controls ( F(1, 78)=4.14, P=0.045). Correlation analysis: the more severe the hyperactivity symptoms of adult ADHD, the longer reaction time to complete the 2-back task ( r=0.303, P=0.48). The more severe the hyperactivity symptoms of adult ADHD, the lower P300 amplitude to complete the n-back task. The more severe the attention deficit symptom of adult ADHD, the longer P300 latency to complete the n-back task. Conclusions:Adult ADHD patients may have prolonged response time, increased variability and decreased P300 amplitude compared to the control subjects in n-back task, which is correlated to clinical symptoms. These signs suggest the impairment in retrieval of working memory, and an unstable attention, as well as slower information processing speed among adult patients with ADHD.
