Objective:
To analyze the health literacy possession rate and its trend among residents in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province from 2016 to 2024, so as to provide the evidence for improving health promotion strategies and intervention measures.
Methods:
Multi-stage stratified random sampling combined with probability proportionate to size sampling method was adopted to select permanent residents aged 15-69 years in Lishui City as survey subjects. Demographic information and health literacy possession status were collected through questionnaire survey. The health literacy possession rate was calculated. The data from 2016 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2024 were standardized using the population data of Lishui City from the Sixth National Population Census in 2010 and the Seventh National Population Census in 2020, respectively. The trend of health literacy possession rate from 2016 to 2024 was analyzed.
Results:
A total of 42 691 people were surveyed, including 20 509 males (48.04%) and 22 182 females (51.96%), with an average age of (51.63±12.13) years. From 2016 to 2024, the health literacy possession rates were 20.40%, 25.83%, 26.96%, 28.82%, 32.30%, 34.02%, 37.53%, 39.21% and 43.17%, respectively, showing an upward trend (P<0.05). Among the three aspects, the possession rates of basic knowledge and concepts, healthy lifestyle and behaviors, and basic skills all showed upward trends (all P<0.05), with basic knowledge and concepts showing the largest increase and basic skills showing the smallest increase. Among the six health issues, the possession rates of scientific health view, chronic disease prevention and control, safety and first aid, basic medical care, and health information showed upward trends, while the infectious disease prevention and control literacy possession rate showed a downward trend (all P<0.05). The possession rates in the 65-69 age group, illiterate/semi-literate residents, and farmers showed upward trends (all P<0.05), but with small increases and remaining at low levels.
Conclusions
From 2016 to 2024, the health literacy possession rate of residents in Lishui City showed an overall upward trend, but the increase in basic skills literacy possession rate was relatively slow, and the infectious disease prevention and control literacy possession rate showed a downward trend. It is necessary to strengthen health education for weak links and knowledge among elderly people, residents with low educational level, and farmers to improve health literacy level.

Objective To investigate the duration of indwelling ureteral stent after the ureteroscopic lithotripsy. Methods 300 cases of patients were retrospectively analyzed from June 2015 to June 2017,including 168 with renal calculi and 132 with non-incarcerated upper ureteral calculi. The size of stone is <2 cm in diameter.According to the length of time for indwelling ureteral stent, all patients were divided into two groups-150 cases in 14-day group (Group A) and 150 in the 28-day group (Group B) for comparing the complication and outcome, and then received modular flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy combined with holmium laser.Lastly,6F ureteral stent was indwelling postoperatively. Results Complications happened in both two groups after stenting. There were 140 cases (93.3%) complained of bladder irritation symptoms (LUTS) in Group A,while 107 (71.3%) in Group B;85 cases (56.7%) suffered from flank or abdominal pain in Group A and 36 (24%) in Group B;gross hematuria happened in 133 cases (88.7%) of Group A and 60 cases (40%) of Group B.As the duration of indwelling ureteral stent extended, the incidence of complications increased, significantly (P < 0.05).CT scan showed there was no statistical difference in stone-free rate (diameter < 3 mm) of two groups [A group:91.3 % (137/150) vs.B group:89.3 % (134/150),respectively].Conclusion With high stone-free rate and low complication incidence,2-week indwelling ureteral stent is safe for patients suffered from renal calculi or non-incarcerated upper ureteral calculi (diameter < 2 cm).

Objective To assess the effect of preoperative enteral nutrition on malignant digestive tumors patients with nutritional risk. Methods A prospective clinical study was conducted on 73 malignant digestive tumors patients who were admitted in Department of General Surgery,Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January to June in 2015.Seventy-three patients were screened preoperatively by NRS 2002 and then divided into two groups:enteral nutrition group (n =31) and control group (n =42).Patients in enteral nutrition group were given oral or tube feeding elemental diet for 7-10 days before operation.Patients in control group ate normally. Both patients were given intravenous nutritional support postoperatively. The data of body weight, body mass index, blood total protein,albumin,pre-albumin and incidence of postoperative complications were compared on admission and before operation.Measured data were expressed as (x) ± s.The t-test was used to compare the indexes between groups. The paired t-test was used for comparison between admission and before surgery;the count data were expressed as frequency and percentage (%),comparison between groups use Chi-square test or Fisher's exact probability method. Results The nutritional status including body weight, body mass index, blood total protein, albumin and pre-albumin were significantly improved pre-operatively in enteral nutrition group (P < 0.05),and postoperative complications including wound dehiscence, pneumonia and anatomotic leakage in enteral group were 9.68%,6.45% and 3.23% separately, which were less than that in control group (14.4%,11.9% and 7.14%),however,the result was not significantly different (P > 0.05).Conclusion Pre-operative enteral nutrition is safe and efficacy, which is helpful for malignant digestive tumors patients with nutritional risk.
