Objective To investigate and analyze the occupational stress levels and influencing factors among radiation workers in China, and provide a reference for alleviating occupational stress and promoting mental health. Methods Using the general situation questionnaire, Effort-Reward Imbalance questionnaire, and radiation protection knowledge questionnaire, a convenience sampling method was adopted to investigate the occupational stress of 243 radiation workers in Liaoning, Fujian, Guangdong, and Xinjiang provinces. The independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, chi-square test, and binary logistic regression were used to analyze the influencing factors. Results The average score of Effort-Reward Imbalance was 0.97 ± 0.22, and 100 (41.15%) radiation workers had occupational stress. There were significant differences in the detection rate of occupational stress among radiation workers of different ages, working years in radiation positions, monthly incomes, daily sleep durations, and daily working hours (P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis identified daily working hours as a factor contributing to occupational stress. Conclusion The occupational stress among radiation workers in China is relatively severe. It is recommended to pay attention to the associated risks and implement targeted intervention measures to reduce the impact of occupational stress.

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the relationship between the polygenic risks for various psychiatric disorders and clinical and neuropsychological characteristics in children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). METHODS: Using a cross-sectional design, 285 children with ADHD and 107 healthy controls were assessed using the Child Behavior Checklist, the Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function for parents, the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fourth Edition, and the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery. Blood samples were collected for genetic data. Polygenic risk scores (PRSs) for various psychiatric disorders were calculated using the PRSice-2 software. RESULTS: Compared with the healthy controls, the children with ADHD displayed significantly higher PRSs for ADHD, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (P<0.05). In terms of daily-life executive function, ADHD-related PRS was significantly correlated with the working memory factor; panic disorder-related PRS was significantly correlated with the initiation factor; bipolar disorder-related PRS was significantly correlated with the shift factor; schizophrenia-related PRS was significantly correlated with the inhibition, emotional control, initiation, working memory, planning, organization, and monitoring factors (P<0.05). The PRS related to anxiety disorders was negatively correlated with total IQ and processing speed index (P<0.05). The PRS related to obsessive-compulsive disorder was negatively correlated with the processing speed index and positively correlated with the stop-signal reaction time index of the stop-signal task (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS PRSs for various psychiatric disorders are closely correlated with the behavioral and cognitive characteristics in children with ADHD, which provides more insights into the heterogeneity of ADHD.

Objective:To analyze the relationship between health belief and the stages of parental decision-making on childhood 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) immunization in China.Methods:Cross-sectional multistage survey sampling method was used to select study subjects. The study subjects were parents who were aged 20-45 years and had one and more children ≤5 years old in three cities in China. A self-administered questionnaire designed based on health belief model was used to collect the information. Multinomial logistic regression analysis was used to assess the relationships between perceived susceptibility, perceived severity of illness, perceived effect of PCV13 and stages of parental decision-making on childhood PCV13 immunization.Results:A total of 1 716 valid questionnaires were returned (89.33%). The average age of the study subjects was (35.33±4.95) years, and 79.60% of them were women. In the study subjects, 48.31% had in action, 21.79% were in contemplation and 29.90% were in pre-contemplation. The multinominal logistic regression analysis indicated that high perceived susceptibility ( OR=0.14, 95% CI:0.09-0.22; OR=0.54, 95% CI:0.39-0.76), high perceived severity of illness ( OR=0.55, 95% CI:0.42-0.73), and high perceived effect of PCV13 ( OR=0.27, 95% CI:0.18-0.40; OR=0.51, 95% CI:0.32-0.81) were significantly lower in those who were in contemplation or pre-compared with those who had in action. For study subjects with low perceived susceptibility, high perceived effect of PCV13 might decrease the probabilities of contemplation ( OR=0.53, 95% CI:0.32-0.87) and pre-contemplation ( OR=0.27, 95% CI:0.18-0.41). For those with high perceived susceptibility, perceived severity of illness might decrease the probability of contemplation ( OR=0.43, 95% CI:0.23-0.82). Conclusions:Childhood PCV13 vaccination willingness and level is low in China. It is important to pay greater attention to the intervention on health belief in child parents, such as perceived effect of PCV13, perceived severity of illness, and perceived susceptibility, in health policy development and health promotion.

Objective To investigate the current situation of occupational stress among radiation workers in nuclear power plants in China, to explore the factors influencing occupational stress, and to provide a reference for improving occupational stress. Methods A convenient sampling method was adopted to investigate the occupational stress of 100 radiation workers in two nuclear power plants in Fujian and Liaoning, using the general situation questionnaire, effort-reward imbalance questionnaire, and the radiation protection knowledge questionnaire. Independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, chi-square test, and binary logistic regression analysis were used to examine the current situation of occupational stress and the influencing factors. Results The average value of effort-reward imbalance was 0.99 ± 0.15 and 47 (47%) radiation workers had occupational stress. There were significant differences in the detection rate of occupational stress among radiation workers with different ages, years of radiation work, monthly incomes, sleep durations (day), and exercise habits (P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that monthly income, sleep duration (day), and exercise habits were the influencing factors for occupational stress. Conclusion The occupational stress of radiation workers in nuclear power plants is a serious issue influenced by many factors. Attention should be given to this issue, and targeted interventions should be implemented to improve the social and working environment of this occupational group and reduce the level of occupational stress.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of bone cement distribution on efficacy of residual back pain after percutaneous vertebra plasty(PVP). METHODS: From January 2017 to December 2020, a total of 65 cases with single segment osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral fractures underwent parallel vertebroplasty surgery. On the basis of the postoperative X-ray films of bone cement distribution were divided into two groups. The bone cement was biased to the lateral side of the vertebral body (partial group, 20 cases), there were 9 males and 11 famales with an average age of (70.3±7.4) years old ranging from 60 to 84 years old. The bone cement was over the vertebral midline, and completely filled with contralateral vertebral body (bilateral group, 45 cases), there were 10 males and 35 famales with an average age of (70.7±8.0) years old ranging from 60 to 86 years old. All of them underwent PVP surgery, bone cement was injected into the vertebral body through paitail transpedicular approach. The amount of bone cement injection, the visual analogue scale(VAS) of preoperation and 1 day, 1 month, 3 months after surgery between two groups were observed and compared. RESULTS: The amount of cement injection was (4.25±0.99) ml in the partial group, and (4.07±1.18) ml in the bilateral group, there was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05). Postoperative pain was relieved than preoperative pain (P<0.05), the VAS of 1 day, 1 and 3 months after operation (3.90±1.37), (2.35±0.67) and (1.55±0.51) in the partial group were higher than (2.67±0.60), (1.62±0.58) and (1.31±0.47) in the bilateral group (P<0.05). There were 9 cases in partial group, the pain was not relieved due to unfilled cement until the contralateral bone was injected into the bone cement. CONCLUSION The distribution of bone cement is one of the main factors affecting residual back pain after PVP, and in the clinical, we should make sure the distribution of bone cement over the midline of vertebral body.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of different bleaching methods on white-spot lesions of the enamel using optical coherence tomography and to evaluate its feasibility for monitoring the therapeutic effects on white-spot lesions. Methods: Forty-eight sound premolars extracted for orthodontic reasons were selected and cut for 4 mm×4 mm×2 mm enamel blocks in buccal surfaces of the crowns. The samples were covered with acid-resistant varnish (except for the buccal surfaces) and immersed in demineralization solution for 18 days to establish the white-spot lesion models of the enamels. Samples were randomly divided into four groups (n=12). Group A was given demineralization only. Specimens in Group B, C and D were treated with 40% hydrogen peroxide, resin infiltration and 40% hydrogen peroxide combined with resin infiltration, respectively. Eight samples in each group were randomly selected. OCT was applied to observe the optical changes of the enamel surface and according to the OCT scanning results, the demineralization depth of enamel samples in each group was calculated. Then, the enamel blocks were embedded in epoxy resins, except the buccal surfaces, and measured for the microhardness values of the enamel surface by a microindentation hardness tester. Four samples in each group were cut longitudinally, and the ultrastructural changes of enamel samples in each group were observed by scanning electron microscope. Results: OCT showed that the light scattering characteristics of enamel surface changed in all groups, and the bright layer was formed, but the thickness of bright layer in Group C and D was significantly lower than that in Group A and B (P<0.05). The microhardness values (kg/mm2) of the samples in Group A-D were (214.99±31.70), (250.66±33.64), (312.42±18.01) and(286.53±26.65), respectively. The microhardness of enamel surfaces in Group C and D was significantly higher than that in Group A and B (P<0.05), and the ultrastructure of enamel surfaces in Group C and D were more flat and dense in SEM observation (P<0.05). Conclusion The methods of resin infiltration therapy or 40% hydrogen peroxide combined with resin infiltration could effectively improve white-spot lesions of the enamel and the non-invasive OCT can be used as a better evaluation method for the diagnosis and treatment of white-spot lesions of the enamel.

In recent years, occupational stress has become a focus of public attention in public health in China and abroad. Radiation workers are exposed to ionizing radiation in their daily work, which further exacerbates their levels of occupational stress. This not only affects their physical and mental health, but also increases the potential for radiation incidents or accidents. Based on the literature on occupational stress among radiation workers in China throughout the years, this article provides a summary, conclusion, and systematical analysis of the research status of occupational stress among radiation workers, with a detailed sorting of the data. It explores key research issues and directions and provides reference for future work.

Heat stroke(HS)is a serious life-threatening disease caused by heat injury and characterized by a core body temperature>40℃with central nervous system dysfunction and multi-organ failure.The main pathophysiological manifestations of HS are the thermal acute phase response and thermoregulatory imbalance.Proteins are particularly sensitive to heat,and the thermal environment can cause massive protein denaturation,resulting in the deposition of unfolded and misfolded proteins in the cytoplasm,causing cellular dysfunction and even death.The unfolded protein response(UPR),mainly divided into the endoplasmic reticulum UPR and the mitochondrial UPR,is an important physiological process that helps proteins to fold correctly or degrade irretrievably denatured proteins.This paper summarizes the regulatory mechanisms of UPR,the relationship between UPR and severe diseases,as well as the relationship between HS and UPR to provide new ideas for the treatment of HS.

Objective To explore whether the single leg vertical jump height limb symmetry index(LSI)＞90%can represent the normal lower limb biomechanics in athletes after anterior cruciate liga-ment reconstruction(ACLR)during jumping.Methods Forty-six athletes after ACLR were divided into a low symmetry group(jump height LSI＜90%,n=23)and a high symmetry group(jump height LSI＞90%,n=23)according to the symmetry of single leg vertical jump height,while 24 healthy counter-part athletes were chosen into the control group.The kinematic and kinetic characteristics were com-pared among the three groups.Results(1)At the take-off stage,compared with the control group,both sides of the low-symmetry group had higher peak hip flexion angle(P＜0.05),but only the operat-ed side showed lower knee flexion moment(P=0.002),knee power(P=0.01),ankle power(P=0.045)and peak vertical ground reaction force(P=0.008).(2)At the take-off stage,there were no significant differences between the operated side of the high symmetry group and the control group in all measure-ments.However,compared with the healthy side,the operated side demonstrated lower knee flexion moment(P=0.001),knee power(P=0.002),total power of lower limb(P=0.001)and peak vertical ground reaction force(P=0.046).(3)During landing,compared with the control group,bilateral sides of the low symmetry group showed a higher peak hip flexion angle(P＜0.05)and a lower peak flexion knee angle(P＜0.05),but its operated side demonstrated lower peak ankle dorsiflexion angle(P=0.018),knee flexion moment(P=0.005),knee power(P=0.037),ankle power(P=0.002),total power of lower limb(P=0.042),and peak vertical ground reaction force(P=0.022).(4)During landing,there were no significant differences in all variables between the operated side of the high symmetry group and the control group.However,compared with its healthy side,the affected side of the high symmetry group demonstrated lower knee flexion moment(P=0.002),ankle dorsiflexion moment(P=0.003),knee power(P＜0.001),total power of lower limbs(P=0.001),and peak vertical ground reaction force(P=0.023).Conclusion Despite achieving the single leg vertical jump height LSI＞90%,athletes after ACLR still showed abnormal lower limb biomechanical characteristics during propulsion and landing.In addition,such abnormality is more obvious in athletes after ACLR with jump height LSI＜90%.Therefore,sym-metry in jump height does not represent normal lower extremity biomechanics in athletes after ACLR.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the prognostic value of interim ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). METHODS: A total of 97 patients with pathologically diagnosed DLBCL at Sichuan Cancer Hospital and Institute from March 2015 to June 2020 were enrolled in this retrospective study. Receiver operating characteristic analysis (ROC) was used to calculate the optimum maximum standard uptake value reduction ratio (△SUVmax%) cut-off value. The prognostic value of △SUVmax% and Deauville five-point scale (5-PS) in patients with DLBCL was compared, and the determined prognostic factors were analyzed. RESULTS: ROC curve indicated that the optimum △SUV max% cut-off value was 74.9%. Patients with △SUVmax%≥74.9% had a lower rate of progression or recurrence than those with △SUVmax% < 74.9% (both P<0.001). Meanwhile, patients with 5-PS score < 4 also had a lower rate of progression or recurrence than those with 5-PS score≥4 (both P<0.001). △SUVmax% and 5-PS had high specificity (83.7% vs 83.7%) and negative predictive value (87.3% vs 84.9%), while low sensitivity (56.0% vs 52.2%) and positive predictive value (53.8% vs 50.0%). △SUVmax% was more sensitive than 5-PS for the corresponding parameters (78.3% vs 76.2%). Univariate analysis showed that Ann Arbor stage, international prognostic index of National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN-IPI), △SUVmax% and 5-PS were associated with TTP and PFS (all P<0.001). Multivariate analysis showed that △SUVmax% was an independent predictor of TTP and PFS (P=0.031, P=0.023). CONCLUSION Both 5-PS and △SUVmax% can be used to evaluate the prognosis of DLBCL patients, but the predictive value of △SUVmax% is superior to that of 5-PS.
