Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most prevalent endocrine disorders in women of reproductive age, yet its etiology and pathogenesis remain unclear. Women with PCOS frequently present with insulin resistance, obesity, and infertility, which heightens the risk of various pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Research has demonstrated that PCOS patients have a three-fold higher risk of developing GDM compared with healthy pregnant women matched with age and body mass index. Early identification of pregnant women at high risk for GDM and targeted intervention measures can significantly enhance patients' outcomes. Therefore, this article aims to review predictive factors for GDM in patients with PCOS, propose suggestions for screening high-risk factors, and discuss measures to improve lifestyle. The objective is to provide a reference for identifying high-risk pregnant women with GDM and establishing a healthy lifestyle.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2017;35(9):673-677
Objectives To explore the efficacy of CaNa2EDTA in the treatment of chronic moderate lead poisoning, so as to optimize the chelation therapy for lead poisoning in children. Methods The clinical data of 14 patients with chronic moderate lead poisoning treated with CaNa2EDTA for 3 consecutive courses of lead removal during September 2014 to December 2016 were analyzed retrospectively. Twenty-four hour urinary lead levels during hospitalization were analyzed. The changes of blood lead levels before treatment, 3 days, and 5 days after treatment were also analyzed. Results In the 14 children (4 males and 10 females) average age was 2.35±1.47 years. After treatment with CaNa2EDTA for 3 consecutive courses, the blood lead levels were decreased significantly in all the patients, and the blood lead levels at 3 days after treatment were 0.76, 0.77, 0.72 times those at 5 days after treatment respectively. The decrease of blood lead levels per unit of drug in the first 3 days of treatment were significantly higher than those in 5 days of treatment (P<0.05). The decrease of blood lead levels at 3 days after treatment was 0.65, 0.71, 0.70 times , those in 5 days' treatment respectively. The decrease of urine lead levels per unit of drug in the first 3 days of treatment were significantly higher than those in 5 days of treatment (P<0.05). Conclusions CaNa2EDTA has an obvious effect on removal of lead. The efficiency of lead removal in 3 days of treatment was higher than in 5 days of treatment. Thus, a course of treatment for 3 days may be an altenative for a course of 5 days.

The expression of dentin sialophosphoprotein (DSPP) is the marker for cells differentiated into odontoblasts. This study attempted to analyze the DSPP promoter and build the reporter LacZ expression system driven by this promoter, which allows convenient and quick detection of odontoblast cells. First, we separated the human dental mesenchymal cells in which the expression of DSPP can be effectively induced by dexamethasone. Second, four 5' flanking regions of human DSPP gene (- 4 000-+54, -2 500-+54, -1 447-+54 and -1 027-+54) were analyzed, the results showed that the highest promoter activity lied in the -2 500-+54 region. The promoter activity is reduced when the 5' flanking region was extended from -2 500 to -4 000 bp upstream from the transcription start site; The promoter activity are also decreased when the 5' flanking regions were shorted from -2 500 to -1 447 bp and from -1 447 to -1 027 bp, indicating that potential suppresser elements are lied in the region between -4 000 and -2 500 bp and potential activator elements are lied in the region between -2 500 and -1 027 bp. Then we constructed the lentiviral report vector phDSPP-LacZ containing the -2 500-+ 54 promoter region in front of the LacZ gene. The expression of LacZ was detected using X-Gal staining in both human dental mesenchymal cells and immortalized human dental mesenchymal cells infected with phDSPP-LacZ. The phDSPP-LacZ lentiviral vector may provide a more convenient method to detect the expression of DSPP in human odontogenic differentiation, tooth development and tooth regeneration studies.

Objective To study the repeat pregnant women′s awareness level of delivery mode knowledge after cesarean section, in order to provide a basis for making effective intervention programs and reduce the cesarean delivery on maternal request rate. Methods Investigated on the knowledge of delivery mode after cesarean section for 330 repeat pregnant women on Maternal and Children Healthy Hospital of Shanxi Province by questionnaire. Results This study investigated 330 repeat pregnant women, recycling effective questionnaire 318, and the recycling effective rate was 96.4%. Different pregnant women with different education level, the number of weeks of gestation, the doctors′recommendations on the delivery had different scores of knowledge of delivery mode after cesarean section. The difference was significant (P < 0.05). The Multi-factor Logistics regression analysis showed that the repeat pregnant women′ s education and the doctors′recommendations on the delivery are associated with the scores of knowledge of delivery mode after cesarean section (P<0.05). The more higher level of their education, and if the doctor had provided the advice of delivery mode to repeat pregnant women before, the more higher scores the repeat pregnant women got. Conclusions The level of the knowledge of delivery mode after cesarean section is low. It′s time to take appropriate health education intervention strategies to reduce the rate of cesarean delivery on maternal request.
