With the rapid development of computer science, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of medical imaging has become increasingly extensive. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is structurally complex, with a high incidence of related disorders and diverse clinical manifestations. This review analyzes the current state of research on AI in TMJ imaging diagnosis. Deep learning models based on U-Net and its derivatives have demonstrated outstanding performance in segmentation of condyle and articular disc. Various object detection and feature extraction algorithms have shown excellent diagnostic efficacy for common conditions, such as osteoarthrosis and disc displacement, with some models even achieving expert-level performance on test datasets. Meanwhile, explainable AI provides intuitive justification for model decisions through techniques such as heatmap visualization. Notably, current studies still face critical challenges, including coverage of disease spectra, integration of multimodal data, and model generalizability. Future studies should focus on developing integrated systems that combine diagnosis, segmentation, generation, and interpretation functions. Through multicenter data validation and algorithmic optimization, these efforts will enhance the clinical applicability and decision transparency of models, ultimately laying the foundation for precise imaging diagnosis and intelligent management of TMJ disorders.

[Purpose]To evaluate the liver and kidney safety of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)compounds in the treatment of gastric cancer.[Methods]The clinical data of gastric cancer patients who attended in Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2012 to February 2022 were collected. The results of liver and renal func-tion tests were rated according to National Cancer Institute-Common Terminology Criteria for Ad-verse Events(NCI-CTCAE)V5.0.The patients were divided into 4 groups:TCM group,TCM+chemotherapy/targeted/antivascular therapy group,TCM+TCM preparation group and TCM+chemotherapy/targeted/antivascular therapy+TCM preparation group, and the effects of TCM on liver and renal functions were analyzed.[Results]A total of 7 943 patients were included in the analysis,of which 2 941 cases receiving TCM ≥12 months,1 468 months ≥36 months, and 687 months≥60 months. The highest incidence rate of liver function abnormality was 13.71%,the highest in-cidence rate of grade 3/4 abnormality was 2.58%;the highest incidence of creatinine abnormality was 2.32%,the highest incidence rate of grade 3/4 abnormality was 0.37%in patients with differ-ent duration of taking TCM.Most of liver and renal function abnormalities occurred in the early stage of drug taking. The incidence of liver and renal function abnormalities in the TCM group was lower than that of the other three groups. The incidence of grade 3/4 abnormality for direct biliru-bin(DBIL)in the TCM group was 0.14%,for aspartate transaminase(AST)was 0.11%,for alka-line phosphatase(ALP)was 0.16%,for alanine aminotransferase(ALT)was 0.06%and for total bilirubin(TBIL)was 0.07%,and there was no grade 3/4 creatinine abnormality observed. The ab-normal liver and renal function indexes were not increased with the increase of the length of herbal medicine taking.[Conclusion]The study shows that long term taking TCM drugs and stan-dardized prescriptions for gastric cancer patients are safe.

Objective:To investigate the effects of oxidized low density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL) on cell proliferation and mRNA expression of inflammatory factors in fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS) from patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods:Tissue culture was used to isolate and 4-6 generation cultured RA-FLS cells were used for subsequent experiments. RA-FLS were stimulated for 24 hours with different con-centr-ations of human Ox-LDL, then the MTS cell proliferation and toxicity test kit were used to detect the prolifer-ation of RA-FLS. Real time-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to test the expression of inflamm- atory factors like interleukin (IL)-6, transforming growth factor (TGF)-β, IL-8, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and receptors like CD36 and scavenger receptor binds phosphatidylsed neoxidized lipoprotein (SR-PSOX) inRA-FLS. T test and F test were used in this study. Results:Ox-LDL (10, 25, 50 μg/ml) could obviously promote the proliferation of RA-FLS, and theabsorbance values (490 nm) were (1.04±0.15), (1.05±0.14), and (1.00±0.10), respectively, all higher than the control group (0.81±0.04) and the difference was statistically significant ( F=4.737, P<0.01). In addition, 50 μg/ml and 100 μg/ml Ox-LDL also promoted the expression of IL-6 mRNA ( F=14.709, P<0.01) and inhi-bited the expression of TGF-β mRNA ( F=299.074, P<0.01), but there was no obvious effect on the expression of IL-8 and TNF-α. Ox-LDL stimulation could obviously promote the expression of SR-PSOX receptor on RA-FLS ( F=68.636, P<0.01) and inhibit the expression of CD36( F=18.085, P<0.01). After the transfection of siRNA, SR-PSOX mRNA level was significantly inhibited and the mRNA expression of IL-6 was significantly decreased after Ox-LDL stimulation of RA-FLS ( t=3.875, P<0.01), while TGF-β mRNA expres-sion was not significantly changed( t=-0.193, P>0.05). Conclusion:Ox-LDL may play a role in promoting the activation of RA-FLS proliferation and the expression of IL-6 mRNA by increasing the SR-PSOX receptor of RA-FLS, suggesting that Ox-LDL is involved in the synovial inflammation of RA.
