Objective To explore the effects and mechanisms of Changpu Yujin Tang(CPYJT)on the NOD-like receptor thermal protein domain associated protein 3/cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-1/Gasdermin D(NLRP3/Caspase-1/GSDMD)signaling pathway-mediated neuroinflammation in rats with Tourette syndrome(TS).Methods SPF-grade male SD rats were randomly divided into the Control and TS groups.After successful modeling in the TS group,the rats were randomly divided into the Model,Tiapride,and CPYJT groups,and were treated with the corresponding drugs for 4 weeks.After the treatment,the rats' behavior was scored,H & E staining was used to observe pathological changes in the striatum,ELISA was used to measure the content of IL-1β and IL-18,RT-qPCR was used to detect the expression of NLRP3 and ASC mRNA,and Western blot was used to detect the expression of NLRP3,ASC,Caspase-1,Cleaved-Caspase-1,GSDMD,and GSDMD-NT proteins.Results Compared with the Control group,the Model group showed increased scores of stereotyped and motor behaviors(P＜0.01),pathological changes in the striatal tissue,increased content of IL-1β and IL-18(P＜0.01),and upregulated expression of NLRP3,ASC mRNA,and NLRP3,ASC,Caspase-1,Cleaved-Caspase-1,GSDMD,and GSDMD-NT proteins(P＜0.01).Compared with the Model group,the Tiapride group and the CPYJT group showed decreased scores of stereotyped and motor behaviors(P＜0.01),improved pathological damage in the striatal tissue,reduced content of IL-1β and IL-18(P＜0.01),and inhibited expression of NLRP3,ASC mRNA,and NLRP3,ASC,Caspase-1,Cleaved-Caspase-1,GSDMD,and GSDMD-NT proteins(P＜0.01).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of CPYJT on TS is related to the inhibition of the neuroinflammatory response mediated by the NLRP3/Caspase-1/GSDMD signaling pathway.

Objective:To explore the impact of childhood trauma on drug relapse tendency, as well as the mediating role of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).Methods:From March to May 2017, a total of 403 compulsory drug rehabilitation personnel were selected for a cross-sectional study and then were investigated by the general demography scale, drug relapse risk scale, childhood trauma questionnaire (CTQ), and PTSD checklist for DSM-5(PCL-5).SPSS 27.0 software and PROCESS 4.1 macro program were used for correlation analysis, regression analysis and Bootstrap-based mediation analysis.Results:The scores of negative emotions subscale of drug relapse risk scale, emotional abuse and emotional neglect subscales of CTQ had no significant gender differences(all P>0.05).There were gender differences in relapse tendency, childhood trauma, and PTSD total scores as well as other dimensions ( t/ Z=2.08-4.67, all P<0.05).There were pairwise positive correlations among the total score of the drug relapse risk scale(31.68±9.79), CTQ(39.90±12.13), and PCL-5(11(3, 24)) for compulsory isolation and rehabilitation personnel ( r=0.28, 0.36, 0.37, P<0.05).After controlling for gender, childhood trauma could significantly and positively predict drug relapse tendency( β=0.34, t=7.24, P<0.01), and PTSD played a mediating role between childhood trauma and drug relapse tendency, with the indirect effect of 0.11(95% CI=0.06-0.16). Conclusion:Childhood trauma can affect drug relapse tendency directly, and indirectly through PTSD.

Background With urbanization and residential space expansion, ecological environment and human health issues have become hot social topics. Forest health, as a way of seeking health in nature, has begun to receive public attention in the context of the gradually increasing sub-healthy population and various psychological and physical diseases at a young age. Objective To systematically evaluate the effects of forest therapy on selected physical and mental health indicators. Methods Relevant research literature was retrieved from domestic and international databases (China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, China Biomedical Literature Service System, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library), with a time range from database establishment to January 31, 2023. Relevant data were extracted for meta-analysis to explore the relationship between forest therapy and selected psychological and physiological indicators. Results A total of 85 articles were included, and the meta-analysis results showed that better scores of Profile of Mood States, Positive and Negative Affect Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, and State Trait Anxiety Scale were found in the forest group than those in the urban group (P<0.05); the levels of systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, sympathetic nerve indicator [ln (LF/HF)], salivary cortisol, and serum inflammatory factors were lower in the forest group than in the urban group, while parasympathetic nerve indicator [ln (HF)] level was higher in the forest group than in the urban group (P<0.05). The results of subgroup analysis showed that the changes in heart rate (SMD=−1.62, 95%CI: −2.41, −0.82), ln (HF) (SMD=1.29, 95%CI: 0.73, 1.85), ln (LF/HF) (SMD=−1.49, 95%CI: −2.13, −0.86), and salivary cortisol (SMD=−0.53, 95%CI: −0.81, −0.25) were more significant when the duration of forest therapy was ≤ 0.5 h, the recovery effect on emotional state was better in the >0.5~3 h group (such as tension SMD=−2.40, 95%CI: −3.21, 1.59), and the reduction effects on systolic blood pressure (SMD=−0.53, 95%CI: −1.03, −0.03) and diastolic blood pressure (SMD=−0.42, 95%CI: −0.88, 0.04) were better in the >3 h group. Seated meditation showed better recovery effects on multiple indicators of Profile of Mood States (such as fatigue SMD=−2.26, 95%CI: −3.07, −1.45), while walking showed better recovery effects on physiological indicators such as blood pressure (systolic blood pressure SMD=−0.57, 95%CI: −1.07, −0.06; diastolic blood pressure SMD=−0.72, 95%CI: −1.36, −0.07) and heart rate (SMD=−1.51, 95%CI: −2.38, -0.64). Except for blood pressure, the health benefits of forest therapy in the younger age group were generally better than those in the middle-aged and elderly group. Conclusion Relaxed and comfortable psychological feeling is reported when practicing forest therapy; it can lower blood pressure and heart rate, regulate the autonomic nervous system; it can also reduce the release of stress hormones and lower serum levels of inflammatory factors, exerting an auxiliary recovery effect on cardiovascular and immune system disorders. At the same time, the therapy duration, form, and age of the subjects have a certain impact on the effects of forest therapy practice.

Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of primary thyroid lymphoma (PTL) .Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical and pathological data of 34 newly diagnosed PTL patients admitted to Beijing Tongren Hospital from September 2010 to February 2023. The Kaplan-Meier survival curve and Log-rank test were used for survival analysis, and the Cox regression model was applied for univariate analysis of prognostic factors.Results:All 34 PTL patients presented with cervical mass as the initial clinical manifestation. There were 9 males and 25 females. The pathological diagnosis was diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in 29 patients and mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma in 5 patients. Among the DLBCL patients, 6 had B symptoms, 17 had an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) score of ≥2, the Ann Arbor staging was stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ in 21 cases and stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ in 8 cases, the tumor diameter was ≥10 cm in 4 cases, and 14 had concurrent Hashimoto thyroiditis; 27 cases received chemotherapy, with 21 cases achieving complete remission (CR), 2 cases partial remission (PR), and 6 cases of disease progression; the 5-year progression-free survival and overall survival rates were 78.9% and 77.4%, respectively; univariate survival analysis showed that B symptoms, tumor diameter ≥10 cm, and Ann Arbor stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ were significant factors affecting patient prognosis ( P<0.05). MALT lymphoma patients were all in stages Ⅰ-Ⅱ, had an ECOG score of 0-1, and were without B symptoms. All patients underwent surgical resection, with 4 cases achieving CR and 1 case PR. Conclusion:PTL is more common in females with concurrent Hashimoto thyroiditis, with the majority of pathological types being B-cell lymphoma. The main treatment is chemotherapy, supplemented by radiotherapy and surgery, and the prognosis is relatively favorable.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence and association of hyperuricemia (HUA) and hypertriglyceridemic Waist (HTW) phenotype in children and adolescents aged 6-17 years in Inner Mongolia, providing a basis for the prevention and treatment of hyperuricemia in adolescents in Inner Mongolia. Methods: A total of 2 175 students of primary, junior high, and senior high school students from eight counties (districts) in Inner Mongolia were chosen and received a questionnaire survey, physical examination, and laboratory test by used a multi stage stratified random sampling approach. The association between the HTW phenotype and HUA was analyzed using binary Logistic regression. Results: The prevalence of the HTW phenotype was 2.1%, with boys(2.5%) higher than that of girls(1.6%) ( χ 2=14.50, P<0.05). The average SUA level of the participants was 308.00 (259.00, 371.00) mmol/L, with a statistically significant sex difference(Z=-9.87, P<0.05). The prevalence of HUA was 21.1%. The frequency of HUA in the HTW phenotype(44.4%) was higher than in other phenotypes, followed by enlarged waist (EW) phenotype. After controlling for associated variables, the EW phenotypes (OR=1.76，95%CI=1.26-2.47) and HTW phenotypes (OR=2.25, 95%CI=1.12-4.52) were associated with higher risk for HUA(P<0.05). Conclusion In Inner Mongolia, the prevalence of HUA in children and adolescents aged 6-17 years is high, and there shows a positive association between the HTW phenotype and hyperuricemia. For the prevention of hyperuricemia, more attention should be paid to children and adolescents with HTW phenotype.

The composition of serum is extremely complex,which complicates the discovery of new pharmaco-dynamic biomarkers via serum proteome for disease prediction and diagnosis.Recently,nanoparticles have been reported to efficiently reduce the proportion of high-abundance proteins and enrich low-abundance proteins in serum.Here,we synthesized a silica-coated iron oxide nanoparticle and devel-oped a highly efficient and reproducible protein corona(PC)-based proteomic analysis strategy to improve the range of serum proteomic analysis.We identified 1,070 proteins with a median coefficient of variation of 12.56％using PC-based proteomic analysis,which was twice the number of proteins iden-tified by direct digestion.There were also more biological processes enriched with these proteins.We applied this strategy to identify more pharmacodynamic biomarkers on collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)rat model treated with methotrexate(MTX).The bioinformatic results indicated that 485 differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)were found in CIA rats,of which 323 DEPs recovered to near normal levels after treatment with MTX.This strategy can not only help enhance our understanding of the mechanisms of disease and drug action through serum proteomics studies,but also provide more pharmacodynamic biomarkers for disease prediction,diagnosis,and treatment.

Objective:To preliminarily observe the clinical efficacy of microwave hyperthermia combined with intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and chemotherapy for patients with locally advanced gastric cancer.Methods:Forty patients who could not been operated or refused operation were enrolled in this clinical trial, who were confirmed as locally advanced proximal or distal gastric cancer by gastroscopy pathology and imaging. Radiotherapy was delivered by IMRT technology for 5 times per week with a total dose of 46 to 56 Gy (median dose of 50 Gy) in 25 to 28 fractions. Synchronous hyperthermia was given at 42 to 44℃ twice a week, 45 min/time. S-1 or capecitabine-based synchronous chemotherapy was performed, d1-14/3 weeks. The symptom remission rate, adverse reactions, objective remission rate (complete and partial remission) and survival were observed.Results:A total of 40 patients, aged between 56 and 83 years (median age of 71 years), were enrolled in this study. The male-to-female ratio was 7: 1. Among them, 38 cases (95%) showed symptom remission. The most common adverse reactions were grade 1-2 gastrointestinal reactions and leukopenia. The objective remission rate was 87.5%, the 2-year progression-free survival and overall survival rates were 68.6% and 70.5%, respectively.Conclusion:Preliminary findings demonstrate that microwave hyperthermia combined with chemoradiotherapy achieve satisfactory outcomes and yield tolerable toxicity in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer.

With citric acid as carbon source and different amino acids as nitrogen source,the nitrogen-doped carbon was synthesized by one-step hydrothermal method under the condition of no catalyst.The pre-experiments show that arginine-doped carbon dots(CDs-Arg) with relatively high fluorescence quantum yield (33.25％) were picked out for further study.Furthermore,we studied the physical and chemical properties of CDs-Arg through a series of spectral,electric potential,particle size,X ray and elemental analysis experiments.At the same time,the stabilities of the nanoparticles towards different pH,temperatures,excitation lasers or redox conditions were studied.And the MTr and in vivo distribution experiments were also conducted for the toxicity and metabolism studies.The experimental results showed that the arginine doped carbon dots has high fluorescence efficiency,good stability,and extremely low toxicity.And the water-soluble small particles of CDs-Arg nanoparticles showed that the nanoparticles can be excreted through the glomerulus.These results show that the CDs-Arg Nanoparticles are biocompatible nanoparticles and have potential applications in biological imaging and can serve as a monitor of drug metabolism.
