Objective:To evaluate prenatal and postnatal management strategies for ovarian cysts in fetuses and infants under three months of age.Methods:This retrospective analysis included 94 cases managed at Wuhan Children's Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (December 2013 to December 2023) with prenatal/postnatal imaging, management, and outcomes data. Cysts were stratified by diameter: <3 cm ( n=44), 3-4 cm ( n=19), and ≥4 cm ( n=31). Proportions of complex cysts and ovarian necrosis rates were compared using Chi-square tests. Results:Among 94 cases , 62 were simple ovarian cysts and 32 complex (including two initially simple cysts that converted to complex in utero). Prenatal diagnosis occurred in 67 cases (52 simple, 15 complex) without intrauterine intervention and 27 were postnatally detected (10 simple, 17 complex). Ovarian necrosis affected 93.8% (30/32) of complex cysts. Both 3-4 cm and ≥4 cm groups demonstrated significantly higher complex cyst rates [12/19 and 48.3% (15/31) vs. 11.4% (5/44), χ2=15.53 and 10.92, both P<0.001] and ovarian necrosis frequencies [12/19 and 45.2% (14/31) vs. 9.1% (4/44), χ2=17.72 and 11.07, both P<0.001] compared to the <3 cm group, whereas no significant differences existed between 3-4 cm and ≥4 cm groups (both P>0.05). Conclusions:For postnatal management, surgical intervention is recommended for complex ovarian cysts in fetuses and infants within three months of age. For simple cysts ≥4 cm, surgery is advised, while those measuring 3-4 cm warrant close monitoring due to elevated necrosis risk.

Objective:To describe demographic,clinical and physiological characteristics,treatment between first-episode major depressive disorder(MDD)and relapse MDD,and to explore characteristics of relapse MDD.Methods:Totally 858 patients who met the diagnostic criteria for depression of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fifth Edition(DSM-5),were included by using the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview(MINI),Clinician-Rated Dimensions of Psychosis Symptom Severity,and Hamilton Depression Scale etc.Among them,529(58.6％)were first-episode depression and 329(36.0％)were relapsed.The differences of demographic characteristics,clinical and physiological characteristics,treatment were compared byx2test and Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test.Multivariate logistic regression was used to explore the characteristics of MDD recur-rence.Results:Compared to first-episode MDD,relapse MDD had more comorbidity(OR=2.11,95％CI:1.00-4.44),more days out of role(OR=1.26,95％CI:1.01-1.56),more history of using psychiatric drug more than one month(OR=1.41,95％CI:1.02-1.97)and electroconvulsive therapy(OR=3.23,95％CI:1.42-7.36),and higher waist-hip ratio(OR=33.88,95％CI:2.88-399.32).Conclusion:Relapse MDD has positive as-sociation with comorbidity of mental disorders,out of role,and higher waist-hip ratio.

Objective To determinate the heavy metal cadmium content in rice to ensure food safety.Methods Several brands and batch numbers of rice were collected and divided into groups A and B.Group A contained 24 pieces of rice from the canteens,and group B involved in 22 pieces from the farm product markets.Cadmium content in rice was detected quantitatively with X-ray fluorescence spectrometer,and then evaluated according to GB 2762-2012 which determined rice was not qualified in case cadmium content was more than 0.2 mg/kg.Results Group A had cadmium content between 0.00 and 0.477 mg/kg,the times of ultra standard being 2.385 and the disqualification rate being 29.2％ (7/24),and group B had cadmium content between 0.065 and 0.619 mg/kg,the times of ultra standard being 3.095 and the disqualification rate being 68.2％ (15/22).Excessive cadmium content in rice occurred in both canteens and markets,while the canteens was better than the markets.Conclusion X-ray fluorescence spectrometer detects cadmium content in rice rapidly and simply,and is worthy promoting in elementary facilities.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the application of prescription comment software in our hospital. METHODS:552 pre-scriptions were evaluated by pharmacist A,B and software,and the Kappa values were calculated to evaluate the reliability of the software. The results of comment by pharmacist B and by software were combined (serial test and parallel test),and then com-pared with the results of comment by pharmacist A. The sensitivity,specificity and Youden's index were calculated to evaluate the reliability of the software. The comment results of 552 prescriptions by pharmacist A for twice were compared to calculate Kappa value,and it was used to evaluate the comment consistency of pharmacist A. RESULTS:The pharmacist A,B comment results and software comment results showed poor consistency,and Kappa value were 0.020 2 and 0.002 0,with significant difference (P<0.001);pharmacist A comment results had strongest consistency with pharmacist B comment results,and Kappa value was 0.843 0,with no significant difference(0.1

Objective To assess the diagnostic value of anti-mutated citrullinated vimentin (MCV)antibody for rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods Meta analysis.The databases,including PubMed,The Excerpta Medica Database (Embase) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),from January 1990 to January 2013,were employed to search for the studies related to diagnostic value of anti-MCV for RA.The software Meta-Disc1.4 was used to perform Meta-analysis,investigate the sources of heterogeneity and draw the summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve.The Begg's test was applied to evaluate the publication bias by use of Stata1 1 software.Results A total of 27 studies were included.Pooled sensitivity was 0.74[95％ confidence interval (CI) 0.73 to 0.76] and pooled specificity was 0.83 [95％ CI (0.82 to 0.85)].The area under the summary receiver operating characteristic curves was 0.896.Twenty-three literatures which detected both anti-MCV antibody and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide(antikCCP) antibody show that:the area under curre of anti-MCV antibody and anti-CCP antibody were 0.887 and 0.924 respectively,but there was no significant difference (Z =1.525,P =0.064).Conclusions Results of the meta-analysis demonstrated that the MCV antibody may be a useful parameter in diagnosing RA as it shows high sensitivity and specificity.But there was no statistical difference between the results of anti-MCV antibody and anti-CCP antibody for the RA diagnosis.
