Central nervous system diseases refer to complex disorders that affect the structure and function of the central nervous system （brain and spinal cord）. Due to their complex pathogenesis and the lack of effective therapies， the diseases have become one of the leading causes of human death and have imposed a heavy economic burden on families and society. Rehmanniae Radix Preparata， a representative traditional Chinese medicine for "nourishing essence and enriching marrow"， has multi-target and multi-pathway advantages in the treatment of central nervous system diseases. It contains various active components such as catapol， verbascoside， and echinacoside and has multiple pharmacological effects including anti-depression， neuroprotection， antioxidation， anti-inflammation， and immunomodulation. In Alzheimer's disease， Rehmanniae Radix Preparata can regulate the processing of beta-amyloid precursor protein to reduce its production， and its antioxidative and neuroprotective effects can alleviate related pathological damage. In Parkinson's disease， it can protect dopaminergic neurons by regulating intracellular signal transduction pathways. In ischemic stroke， its antioxidative， anti-inflammatory， and neuroprotective effects can alleviate pathological reactions. Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune demyelinating disease， and its pathogenesis is related to the autoimmune response attacking the myelin sheath of the central nervous system. The anti-inflammatory effect of Rehmanniae Radix Preparata can help inhibit this autoimmune response， reduce the damage of inflammation to the myelin sheath， and protect damaged neurons while promoting myelin sheath repair. In depression， Rehmanniae Radix Preparata can improve neural plasticity， and its anti-inflammatory effect can regulate neuroendocrine function and influence the metabolism of neurotransmitters. This paper explored the action mechanism of Rehmanniae Radix Preparata in central nervous system diseases and summarized the relevant basic research and research progress on its active components and traditional Chinese medicine formulas for treating central nervous system diseases， providing a theoretical basis for the development of traditional Chinese medicine products for the prevention and treatment of central nervous system diseases with Radix Rehmanniae Preparata.

Breast cancer is a kind of malignant tumor with a complex mechanism， and its morbidity and mortality are increasing year by year， which seriously threatens women's health. At present， the main clinical treatments are surgical resection， radiotherapy， chemotherapy， and drug therapy， but they are often accompanied by side effects and adverse reactions， which affect the therapeutic effect. Traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） has the advantages of multi-component and multi-target treatment in the fight against breast cancer. The wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is one of the classic pathways in cancer research. Abnormally activated Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway inhibits β-catenin degradation by blocking the formation of Axin/glycogen synthase kinase 3β/adenomatous polyposis coli complex， thus promoting β-catenin nuclear metastasis， and it binds to T cell transcription factor/lymphoenhancer factor-1 to initiate downstream target genes and further interfere with the proliferation， migration， and invasion of tumor cells to affect the tumor process. Previous studies have shown that TCM monomers and compounds can mediate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to inhibit the malignant phenotype of breast cancer cells， thus playing an anti-breast cancer role， and the biochemical process involved in the regulation of therapeutic drugs has not been systematically combed. By analyzing and collating Chinese and foreign literature at the present stage， this paper discussed the association mechanism between Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and breast cancer and analyzed the internal mechanism of TCM monomers and compounds in mediating Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to exert anti-breast cancer effect. The statistical results showed that the flavonoids， alkaloids， and terpenoids in TCM monomers could target the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and block the further development of malignant phenotype of breast cancer cells. TCM compounds with functions of clearing heat and detoxifying， promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis， and tonifying kidney and liver were commonly used to intervene in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to prevent breast cancer. Compared with the current inhibitors of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway， the application of TCM monomers and compounds is expected to bring low-toxicity and high-efficiency breast cancer treatment drugs to the clinical practice， and the existing results provide a reference for the subsequent screening， research， and development of TCM small-molecule compounds and TCM compounds against breast cancer.

Objective To investigate the effect of 9S management combined with plan-do-check-adjust(PDCA)cycle on the incidence of nonstandard surgical instrument handover in urological endoscopic surgery in operating room and supply room.Methods A total of 760 instruments of urological endoscopic surgery used from June 2022 to December 2022 were selected as control group and received routine management.A total of 920 instruments of urological endoscopic surgery used from January 2023 to June 2023 were selected as observation group,and 9S management and PDCA cycle management mode were administrated in instrument handover.The management performance and the satisfaction of surgeons to the instrument nursing staff were compared between the two groups.Results The accuracy of instrument identification and master rate of assembly and disassembly of instruments in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of instrument cleaning and packaging errors in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction of surgeons to the instrument nursing staff in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,but no significant difference was found(P>0.05).Conclusion The 9S management combined with PDCA cycle management solves the problem of transport and handover of urological instruments between operating room and supply room,decreases the error rates of disassembly,cleaning,assembly and packaging of instruments,improves work efficiency,reduces the probability of instrument damage,and saves costs.

Objective To investigate the effect of mogrol on lung injury in rats with severe acute pancreatitis and its possible mechanism.Methods The model of lung injury in rats with severe acute pancreatitis was established by retrograde injection of 4%sodium taurocholate into the biliopancreatic duct,After modeling,they were divided into model group,mogrol low,medium and high dose groups(15,30,60 mg·kg-1),set up another sham operation group,each group containing 12 rats.Intraperitoneal injection,one day once time,a total of 2 times.The pathological changes of pancreas and lung tissues were detected by HE staining;Serum amylase(AMS)and lipase(LPS)levels were detected by biochemical method;The levels of inflammatory cytokines interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-18(IL-18)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in rat alveolar lavage fluid were determined by ELISA;The activity of Caspase-1 in lung tissue of rats was detected by colorimetry;The expression levels of triggering receptor 1(TREM-1)and pyroptosis related proteins NLRP3,Caspasse-1,Gasdermin D(GSDMD)in lung tissue of rats were detected by Western blot.Results Compared with the sham operation group,the model group showed obvious pathological damage in pancreas and lung tissue.Serum AMS and LPS levels,inflammatory factors IL-1β,IL-18 and TNF-α levels,Caspase-1 activity,and protein expression levels of TREM-1 and NLRP3,Caspasse-1,GSDMD,in lung tissue were significantly increased(P<0.05);Compared with the model group,different doses of mogrol could improve the pathological damage of pancreas and lung tissue in rats,and significantly reduce the levels of serum AMS,LPS,inflammatory factors IL-1β,IL-18 and TNF-α,Caspase-1 activity and the expression levels of TREM-1 and NLRP3,Caspasse-1,GSDMD in lung tissue.Conclusion Mogrol may improve lung injury in rats with severe acute pancreatitis by inhibiting pyroptosis,and its mechanism may be related to the regulation of TREM-1/NLRP3 signaling pathway.

Objective In the context of expanding in size and improving the quality of medical consumables,the"one product,one policy"approach has brought challenges to the management of consumables in public hospitals.This study investi-gated the potential management problems in the process of centralized procurement with volume of medical consumables in a pub-lic tertiary hospital in Guangdong Province,and accordingly worked out the corresponding management countermeasures and then assessed their implementation effects.Methods The fishbone diagrams was applied to systematically analyze the potential prob-lems in the implementation process of centralized procurement with volume of medical consumables.Targeted measures were worked out from May to July 2023 in the hospital.The time series data of centralized procurement of coronary stents,pacemak-ers,tubular/end-to-end anastomoses,and spinal products from December 2022 to December 2023 were analyzed.Changes in the monthly implementation rate and contract completion volume pre-and post-intervention were measured to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention.Results The fishbone diagrams analysis revealed that the primary factors impeding procurement implementa-tion were internal system flaws,personnel management inadequacy,supply issues,and an absence of an information system.Post-intervention,the monthly implementation rate(t=-4.19,P＜0.05)and contract completion(t=-2.38,P＜0.05)significantly improved.Conclusion The implementation of intervention management for centralized procurement with volume of medical consumables can effectively promote the related implementation effect in the department.In the context of centralized pro-curement,clinical and health management personnel need to bolster their professionalism to ensure the procurement management efficiency and quality.It is crucial to deepen policy understanding and implementation,enhance production and distribution process supervision and disciplinary mechanisms,ensure multi-departmental coordination for supply security,and improve hospi-tal information systems and procurement platforms.

Effective cost control and structure optimization of medical consumables in public hospitals can facilitate a shift from extensive cost control to scientific and refine management.On the premise of ensuring medical quality,reducing the burden of patients'diagnosis and treatment and meeting the actual needs of hospital management,this approach aims to realize valuable healthcare outcomes.This study was conducted in a tertiary hospital,which balanced both the medical and economic val-ue of medical consumables.Using an integrated approach to specialty capacity building and disease structure optimization,the hospital restructured the use of medical consumables in Transcatheter Arterial Embolization(TAE)procedures.It developed standardized pathways and usage protocols tailored to specific diseases and surgical requirements.A targeted consumable usage policy framework was introduced,comprising"one department,one policy;one surgery type,one policy;and one consumable,one policy."This included initiatives such as validating the use of drug-loaded embolic microspheres,conducting multi-depart-mental review meetings,strictly regulating indications for these microspheres,limiting personnel involvement,and negotiating re-duced pricing on imported microspheres.Following implementation,the average case-mix index(CMI)for discharged patients undergoing TAE increased from 2.23 to 2.34(P＜0.001),while the average per-case cost of consumables decreased from 19 600 to 15 600(P＜0.001).These measures offer valuable decision-making and operational reference for hospitals nation-wide,supporting efficient,quality-focused consumables management.

Objective:To translate the Pediatric Epilepsy-Specific Health-Related Quality of Life (PedsQL TM Epilepsy Module) into Chinese and test its reliability and validity in children aged 5 to 7 years old and their parents. Methods:Brislin translation model was used for forward translation, back translation, harmonization, and proofreading of the PedsQL TM Epilepsy Module. Chinese version of PedsQL TM Epilepsy Module beta version was developed through cognitive interviews, expert consultations, and pre-surveys for cross-cultural adaptation of the scale. From April to November 2023, convenience sampling was used to select 420 children with epilepsy and their parents admitted to the Children's Hospital of Soochow University as participants for a questionnaire survey to test its reliability and validity. Results:A total of 840 questionnaires were distributed (420 for children and 420 for parents), and 394 valid questionnaires were collected from children and 400 valid questionnaires were collected from parents, and the effective response rates of the questionnaires were 93.81% (394/420) and 95.24% (400/420), respectively. Chinese version of PedsQL TM Epilepsy Module (child report version) included five dimensions and 28 items. Chinese version of PedsQL TM Epilepsy Module (parent agent report version) consisted of five dimensions and 29 items. The content validity indices at the item level were 0.800 to 1.00, while the content validity indices at the scale level were 0.978 and 0.979, respectively. Exploratory factor analysis of two versions of the scale showed that five common factors were extracted, with cumulative variance contribution rates of 64.557% and 75.205%, respectively. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the models of the two scales fitted well. The total Cronbach's α coefficients of the two scales were 0.906 and 0.914, respectively, with Cronbach's α coefficients for each dimension ranging from 0.869 to 0.991. The total test-retest reliability coefficients of the scale were 0.998 and 0.995, respectively, and the test-retest reliability coefficients of each dimension were 0.803 to 0.995. Conclusions:Chinese version of the PedsQL TM Epilepsy Module has good reliability and validity, and is suitable for evaluating the health-related quality of life of children with epilepsy aged 5 to 7 years old in China.

Animal experiment courses are important for developing students'practical skills in medical and life science education.They help to cultivate students'experimental skills,scientific reasoning,and innovative thinking ability.However,the traditional teaching method used in animal experiment courses tend to focus on a single topic and have minimal student participation.Courses should aim to promote students'active learning and innovative thinking abilities,and this paper discusses the ways teaching in animal experiment courses can be reformed.First,the paper introduces the background and significance of teaching in animal experiment courses and emphasizes the importance of cultivating the students'abilities.Second,it puts forward the principles of improved animal experiment course teaching,including designing student-centered lessons,providing opportunities for problem solving and practical exploration,and promoting interdisciplinary integration.At the same time,we integrate an ethical review of the welfare of experimental animals in China.Then,from the aspects of course design,teaching method,and evaluation method,this paper expounds several concrete measures of teaching reform in animal experiment courses in detail.When designing a course,attention should be paid to the selection of challenging and exploratory experimental projects,and students'interests and professional needs should be fully considered.Using improved teaching method,students should be encouraged to actively participate in explorative and cooperative classes,be guided through problem solving tasks,and encouraged to cultivate innovative thinking.Diversified evaluation method,such as experimental reports,group discussions,and project presentations,should be used to comprehensively evaluate students'practical and innovative thinking abilities.Finally,with practical verification and effect evaluation,the experiences and outcomes from a reform of animal experiment course teaching are summarized,and suggestions for further improvements are put forward.

Objective To investigate the effect of Inonotus obliquus extract on Crohn's disease and its mechanism by proteomics technology.Methods Crohn's disease(CD)model was induced by 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS).A total of 48 SD male rats were randomized into control,model,Inonotus obliquus low-dose(200 mg/kg),medium-dose(400 mg/kg),high-dose(800 mg/kg)groups,and positive control group(mesalazine,225 mg/kg).The disease activity index(DAI)score and the colonic mucosal injury index(CMDI)score were assessed after one week of drug intervention.HE staining was used to observe the histopathological changes in the colon,and ELISA was used to detect the levels of IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-α in the serum.Proteins were extracted from the colonic tissues of the control group,model group,and Inonotus obliquus high-dose group,and bioinformatics analysis was performed for the proteins identified by quantitative proteomics.Finally,Western blot and RT-qPCR were employed to verify the key proteins.Results Compared with the model group,the DAI,CMDI and HE staining scores were significantly decreased in the medium and high dose groups(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01),as well as the levels of inflammatory factors IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-αin serum(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Proteomic tests showed that there were 199 differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)between the Inonotus obliquus high-dose group and the model group,of which 63 DEPs were related to CD.Bioinformatics analysis showed that these 63 DEPs were mainly involved in NOD-like receptor signaling pathway,calcium signaling pathway,necroptosis,and other pathways.Consistent with proteomic result,expressions of Vdac1 and Trpv2 were confirmed by Western blot and RT-qPCR in colon tissue.Conclusions Inonotus obliquus extract may regulate NOD-like receptor signaling pathway,calcium signaling pathway,and necroptosis by interfering with the expression of Vdac1 and Trpv2,so as to achieve the effect of treating CD.

H 1-antihistamines are widely used in the treatment of various allergic diseases, but there are still many challenges in the safe and rational use of H 1-antihistamines in pediatrics, and there is a lack of guidance on the prescription review of H 1-antihistamines for children.In this paper, suggestions are put forward from the indications, dosage, route of administration, pathophysiological characteristics of children with individual difference and drug interactions, so as to provide reference for clinicians and pharmacists.
