Diabetic nephropathy(DN), a prevalent microvascular complication of diabetes, has emerged as a leading cause of end-stage renal disease worldwide. Recent studies on the dual-specific phosphatase (DUSP) family have revealed a significant reduction in DUSP expression levels in renal disease, suggesting that enhancing its expression may mitigate or alleviate the symptoms associated with renal disease. The primary function of DUSP is to mediate the dephosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), which effectively inhibits the activation of the MAPK pathway, thus playing a crucial regulatory role in the onset and progression of DN. This article aims to investigate the correlation between DN and DUSP and to summarize the current research advancements concerning DUSP in the context of DN, providing new insights and essential theoretical foundations for its diagnosis and treatment.

AIM To observe the effects of Hugan Tablets on high-fat diet induced non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)in a mouse model, and the autophagy, pyroptosis and the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway as well.METHODS The C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into the normal group, the model group, the Hugan Tablets group(0.7 g/kg)and the Yishanfu group(0.23 g/kg),with 10 mice in each group. The NAFLD mouse model was established by 16 weeks feeding of high-fat diet. From the 13th week, the mice started their corresponding dosing of the drug by gavage followed by killing of the mice at the end of 16th week and collection of their serum and liver tissue samples. The mice had their serum ALT,AST,TG,TC,LDL levels, liver TG,TC,NEFA,MDA levels and activities of SOD and GSH-Px detected;their serum levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-αdetected by ELISA;their hepatic pathological changes observed using HE staining and oil red O staining;and their hepatic protein expressions of ACC,CPT1A,FAS,p-PI3K,p-Akt,p-mTOR,P62,LC3,NLRP3,GSDMD and Caspase1 detected by Western blot.RESULTS Compared with the model group, the Hugan Tablets group displayed decreased body weight and hepatosmatic index level(P<0.01);decreased levels of serum ALT,AST,TG,TC,LDL,IL-6,IL-1β and TNF-α(P<0.05,P<0.01);increased hepatic levels of TG,TC,NEFA and MDA(P<0.05);decreased activities of SOD and GSH-Px(P<0.05);improved pathological changes of hepatic lipid deposition and hepatocytic ballooning and decreased NAS score and oil red O staining area(P<0.01);decreased hepatic protein expressions of ACC1,FAS,NLRP3,Caspase1,GSDMD,P62,p-PI3K,p-Akt and p-mTOR(P<0.05,P<0.01);and increased protein expressions of CPT1A and LC3(P<0.01).CONCLUSION Hugan Tablets can effectively prevent and control the development of high-fat diet induced NAFLD in mice, and the mechanism may be associated with the promotion of autophagy in hepatocytes and the inhibition of pyroptosis via the inhibition of PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.

OBJECTIVE:
This study explored the job choice preferences of Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) workers to provide CDC management information and recommendations for optimizing employee retention and motivation policies.
METHODS:
A discrete choice experiment was conducted in nine provinces across China. Seven key attributes were identified to analyze the job preferences of CDC workers. Mixed logit models, latent class models, and policy simulation tools were used.
RESULTS:
A valid sample of 5,944 cases was included in the analysis. All seven attributes significantly influenced the job choices of CDC workers. Heterogeneity analyses identified two main groups based on different levels of preference for attribute utility. Income-prioritizers were concerned with income and opportunities for career development, whereas bianzhi-prioritizers were concerned with bianzhi and welfare benefits. The policy simulation analysis revealed that income-prioritizers had a relatively higher sensitivity to multiple job preference incentives.
CONCLUSION
Income and bianzhi were the two key attributes influencing the job choices and retention preferences of CDC workers. Heterogeneity in job preferences was also identified. Based on the preference characteristics of different subgroups, policy content should be skewed to differentiate the importance of incentives.

Objective:To investigate exercise fear condition and its influencing factors in patients with coronary heart dis-ease(CHD)involving in phase Ⅱ cardiac rehabilitation after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods:Conven-ience sampling was performed among cardiac rehabilitation patients from a Shanxi grade-A tertiary hospital between Janu-ary 2023 and June 2023.General data questionnaire,Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia-Short Version for Heart patients(TSK-SV H),the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support(MSPSS)and the Post Percutaneous Coronary In-tervention Health Literacy Scale(PPCIHLS)were used for assessment.Pearson and Spearman rank correlation analyses were applied to investigate the relationships between social support factors and health literacy factors with patients'fear of exercise;multivariate linear regression models and quantile regression models were used to analyze the influencing factors of fear of exercise. Results:Among the 118 patients, average TSK-SV H score was(33.78±3.79)points;10.2%patients showed significant fear. The correlation analysis showed that PPCIHLS score was negatively correlated with TSK-SV H score(r=-0.423,P<0.001).Results from multivariate regression analysis indicated that health literacy, cardiac func-tion class and drinking status affected the average score of exercise fear(P<0.05 all). The quantile regression model pro-vided additional insights, showing that the impact of factors such as living situation, drinking status, cardiac function class and health literacy on exercise fear varied across different quantiles.Notably, cardiac function class had a consistently posi-tive effect on TSK-SV H score at various quantiles. Conclusion:Improving health literacy and tailored rehabilitation plans are vital to reduce exercise fear and improve cardiac rehabilitation effect.

Objective:To analyze the evolution and diffusion characteristics of policies related to life expectancy(LE)and healthy life expectancy(HLE)in China from 1982 to 2024 using a biometric approach to policy analysis, revealing the patterns of policy diffusion. Methods:By retrieving databases such as PKULAW.com,We comprehensively collected 701 policy documents closely related to LE and HLE during the period(including 62 central policies and 639 local policies),the policy diffusion process was quantified in four dimensions:diffusion intensity, diffusion breadth, diffusion speed and diffusion direction by using the policy—reference network analysis method. Results:Related policy has gone through the germination period(1982-2001),the development period(2002-2010),the rapid rise period(2011-2015)and the four stages of innovation and pioneering period(2016—present).Policy diffusion is influenced by the hierarchical level of the issuing institution, policy type, and regional economic development level.Policies promulgated by central institutions exhibit stronger and broader diffusion, with guideline—type policies diffusing most widely. The diffusion rate follows a trend of"initial growth, followed by deceleration, and then a slight increase."The primary diffusion directions are vertical diffusion from central to local levels and horizontal diffusion among peers. Conclusion:The diffusion of policies related to LE and HLE is characterized by significant stages, regions and levels.
