Work serves as a critical means of obtaining resources, facilitating personal growth, realizing self-worth, and engaging in social interactions. However, work-related diseases pose significant threats to workers’ health and productivity, and impose considerable economic burdens. This article categorized work-related diseases into six major types, including musculoskeletal disorders, mental and behavioral disorders, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, digestive system diseases, reproductive system diseases, and non-specific respiratory diseases, and summarized their risk factors, assessment methods, policy regulation, and prevention and control measures. Current research in this field predominantly relies on cross-sectional studies, which present limitations in causal inference and potential risks of bias. Future studies should expand sample sizes, optimize research designs, and establish multidimensional evaluation systems to comprehensively assess the health and economic impacts of work-related diseases. It is recommended to enhance the translation of research findings into practice, thereby providing a scientific basis for the occupational health protection system and promoting the well-being and sustainable development of the working population.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2026;53(6):1561-1580
Hemoglobin (Hb) concentration is a key clinical biomarker for diagnosing and managing anemia, ischemic stroke, perioperative blood loss, and chronic diseases such as renal failure. Traditional venous blood sampling remains the gold standard due to its high accuracy, but its invasive nature limits frequent testing, real time monitoring, and large scale screening. This has driven growing interest in non-invasive Hb detection technologies over the past decade. Among these, optical methods are the most promising because of their safety, potential for continuous monitoring, and compatibility with portable or wearable devices. This paper systematically reviews major advances in optical non invasive Hb detection from the last ten years. We focus on near-infrared spectroscopy branches—photoplethysmography (PPG) and dynamic spectrum (DS)—and also cover color analysis/RGB imaging, Raman spectroscopy, and photoacoustic spectroscopy. For each technology, we explain its detection principles, analyze advantages and limitations, and summarize optimization strategies reported in recent literature. PPG, based on pulsatile blood volume changes, underpins many commercial continuous monitors. However, its accuracy is constrained by motion artifacts, individual physiological variations (e.g., skin tone, tissue thickness), and low AC signal to noise ratio. In contrast, DS—an advanced derivative of PPG—uses a differential principle to extract absorbance changes between systolic and diastolic peaks. This theoretically eliminates interference from static tissues (skin, bone, venous blood) and common mode noise (e.g., ambient light), positioning DS as a more robust framework for high precision Hb quantification. Beyond spectral methods, color analysis/RGB imaging offers a hardware minimalist approach. By analyzing images of vascular rich, thin tissues (e.g., conjunctiva, nail beds, palms), it enables Hb estimation using smartphone cameras. Recent advances have shifted from manual RGB feature extraction to deep learning models and spectral super resolution that reconstruct hyperspectral data from RGB inputs, significantly improving screening accuracy. Our academic perspective emphasizes critical and integrative analysis. We highlight persistent challenges that hinder clinical translation: profound individual biological variability (skin optics, microvascular architecture), sensitivity to measurement conditions (pressure, ambient light), and a lack of standardized validation protocols and multi center trials. A central thesis is that no single optical method is universally superior; each involves trade offs between accuracy, complexity, cost, and practicality. Looking forward, we posit that the next performance leap will come from multimodal information fusion—combining PPG, electrocardiogram (ECG), bioimpedance, or different optical modalities to compensate for individual differences and environmental noise. AI and deep learning are essential not only for image analysis but also for automated, end to end feature extraction from complex waveforms like PPG sequences. Advancing hardware (tunable lasers, quantum dot LEDs, novel sensor designs) is crucial to improve signal fidelity and portability. Finally, we advocate for clinical scenario specific optimization and rigorous standardized evaluation frameworks to gain regulatory approval (e.g., FDA, NMPA) and achieve widespread clinical acceptance. In conclusion, this review synthesizes a decade of progress. Optical non-invasive Hb detection has evolved from proof of concept studies to emerging products and validated screening tools, but the journey toward reliable, clinic ready quantitative devices continues. The convergence of smarter algorithms, fused sensing modalities, and focused clinical validation offers the most promising path to transform this potential into routine medical practice, ultimately enabling personalized, continuous, and accessible hematological management.

Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of combining Ki67, molecular subtyping, and ultrasonographic parameters in predicting axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer.Methods:200 breast cancer patients who were admitted to Meizhou People’s Hospital from Jan. 2020 to Dec. 2022 were collected. Based on the presence or absence of axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer, the patients were divided into an axillary lymph node metastasis group and a non-axillary lymph node metastasis group. Age, clinical stage, tumor location, tumor size, degree of differentiation, boundary, blood flow, echo, calcification, morphology, vascular invasion, Ki67, molecular typing, resistance index (RI) , shear wave velocity were collected. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to screen the risk factors for axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer, and receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to evaluate the clinical value of ki67, molecular typing combined with ultrasound parameters in the diagnosis of axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer. Results:There were no statistically significant differences in age, clinical stage, tumor location, tumor size, differentiation degree, boundary, blood flow, echo or calcification between the axillary lymph node metastasis group and the non-axillary lymph node metastasis group ( t=0.80, χ20.13, χ2=0.14, χ2=0.90, χ2=0.64, χ2=1.03, χ2=0.04, χ2=0.34, χ2=1.2, P>0.05) , while there were statistically significant differences in morphology, vascular invasion, Ki67, molecular classification, RI and shear wave velocity between the two groups ( χ2=12.01, χ2=8.75, χ2=11.36, χ2=11.43, t=6.34, t=7.25, P<0.05) . Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that vascular invasion, Ki67 high expression, triple negative breast cancer, RI and shear wave velocity were all risk factors for axillary lymph node metastasis ( OR=5.572,4.026,3.632,107.639,1.936, P<0.05) . ROC curve analysis results showed that the AUC of Ki67, molecular typing, RI and shear wave velocity in the diagnosis of axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer was 0.620, 0.594, 0.744 and 0.792, respectively, and the AUC of Ki67, molecular typing, RI and shear wave velocity in the diagnosis of axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer was 0.846. The AUC of the combination of Ki67, molecular typing, RI and shear wave velocity in the diagnosis of axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer was higher than that of Ki67, molecular typing, RI and shear wave velocity alone ( Z=5.55,7.10,3.44,2.45, P<0.05) . Conclusions:High Ki67 expression, triple-negative breast cancer, lymphovascular invasion,RI, and shear wave velocity are all risk factors for axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer. The combined use of Ki67, molecular subtype, RI, and shear wave velocity can improve the diagnostic accuracy for axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer.

Objective:To explore the effects of real-time feedback intervention based on ecological momentary assessment on health behaviors and quality of life in stroke patients, to provide new insights and evidence for secondary prevention of stroke and post-discharge rehabilitation management. Methods:This was a non synchronous controlled study. A total of 160 stroke patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected by convenience sampling method and sequentially assigned to a control group (80 cases) and an intervention group (80 cases) according to the admission time. The control group received routine discharge follow-ups. The intervention group wore smart wristbands and received ecological momentary assessment -based real-time feedback intervention. Health behaviors and quality of life were compared between the two groups before discharge, 3 months and 6 months after discharge. Results:Both groups of patients completed the study. In the intervention group, there were 43 cases aged ≤ 65 years and 37 cases aged>65 years, with 55 males and 25 females. In the control group, there were 42 cases aged ≤ 65 years and 38 cases aged>65 years, with 53 males and 27 females. There were no significant differences in the level of health behaviors and quality of life before discharge between the two groups (both P>0.05). At both 3 and 6 months after discharge, the total scores of the health behaviors were (92.59 ± 7.12), (92.58 ± 5.77) points in the intervention group, and (86.15 ± 14.64), (83.40 ± 8.19) points in the control group, there were significant differences between the two groups ( t=-3.54, -7.72; both P<0.01). The quality of life in the intervention group at 3 months after discharge was 0.904 ± 0.123, which was higher than the control group's 0.845 ± 0.232, and the difference was statistically significant ( t=-2.01, P<0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference in the quality of life between the two groups at 6 months after discharge ( P>0.05). The overall compliance rate with smart wristband usage in the intervention group was 100%(80/80). Conclusions:Ecological momentary assessment-based real-time feedback intervention effectively improves health behaviors in stroke patients and enhances their quality of life in the short term, demonstrating good feasibility and acceptability.

Chinese Journal of Health Policy 2025;18(7):61-69
This study systematically summarizes and analyses the current situation and the generation mechanism of overmedication in China based on the uncertainty and information asymmetry of medical services, and then puts forward targeted governance strategies. The study finds that overmedicalization in China is mainly manifested in the overuse of hospitalization, examinations, and surgical procedures, with the problem being particularly severe in primary healthcare institutions. The study concludes that the formation of overmedicalization in China is the product of the combined effect of multiple factors including the interest-driven mechanism, the supply of medical resources, the cognitive bias of patients, the payment method of medical insurance and the regulatory mechanism of medical behaviour.Based on these analyses,we propose five governance measures:deepening the reform of public hospital compensation systems, strengthening the planning of medical and health insurance resources, optimizing the health insurance benefit system and payment methods, establishing a disease-based medical behavior regulation system, and enhancing public health education. The coordinated implementation of these measures could suppress the overmedicalization effectively, improve the efficiency of healthcare services and achieve the high-quality development of China's healthcare system.
