Objective:This article studies the abilities and quality that medical technical managers should possess and provides a reference for promoting the professional training and development of medical technical managers. Methods:The data were obtained through semi-structured interviews and literature collection. The interview subjects were 20 scientific researchers with transformation projects and 10 management staffs with technical manager certificates in medical colleges. The documents are 6 articles related to ″technical manager capabilities″ collected on open academic platforms. Grounded theory was used to code and analyze above data. Results:After three-level coding and combining with the iceberg competency model, the knowledge, skills, self-awareness, traits and motivation of medical technology managers were sorted out, totalling 5 core categories, 10 main categories, and 50 initial categories, to construct a competency model for medical technology managers. Conclusions:Based on the complex knowledge structure and high occupational requirements of medical technology managers, policy insights such as systematic knowledge training, raising skill requirements in practice, and enriching assessment standards and communication channels are proposed.

China Pharmacy 2025;36(19):2473-2478
Chronic refractory wound (CRW) presents significant clinical treatment challenges due to pathological characteristics such as persistent inflammation, bacterial infection, oxidative stress and inadequate angiogenesis. Astragali Radix, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, exerts multi-target pharmacological effects on CRW through its active components, including Astragalus polysaccharides, flavonoids, and astragaloside Ⅳ, etc. Fundamental studies indicate that these components promote CRW healing by modulating inflammatory responses, inhibiting pathogen growth, improving antioxidant capacity and stimulating neovascularization. Network pharmacology and bioinformatics studies have revealed that active components of Astragali Radix target and modulate key signaling nodes such as nuclear factor-κB, phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt, AMP-activated protein kinase, and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, as well as inflammation-angiogenesis-related pathways, thereby synergistically exerting anti-inflammatory and pro-angiogenic effect. Clinical applications have demonstrated that oral formulations (e.g., Huangqi guizhi decoction, Danggui huangqi decoction, etc.) reduce healing time of CRW and lower inflammatory marker levels, while topical preparations (e.g., Zizhu ointment, Huangqi shengji ointment, electrostatically spun Astragalus polysaccharide composite nanofibre dressings, etc.) significantly improve healing rates of CRW and minimize complications.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2025;34(3):329-334
The application of transseptal puncture(TSP)technology in measuring left atrial pressure began in the late 1950s.With continuous development of cardiac interventional technology,TSP has become a routine procedure for mitral valve intervention, atrial fibrillation catheter ablation, and left atrial appendage closure(LAAC),and it also provides an unconventional pathway for transcatheter aortic valve replacement(TAVR),radiofrequency ablation of premature ventricular contraction, and ventricular septal defect occlusion. The popularity of transesophageal echocardiography(TEE)technology and the application of intracardiac echocardiography(ICE)have improved the accuracy of TSP location.Besides, the emergence of various novel transseptal puncture needles makes the operation of TSP easier and reduces the incidence of TSP complications.Combined with the related research on TSP technology at home and abroad, this paper aims to make a detailed review about the historic evolution and the latest research progress of TSP technology.

Objective:To assess the fall risk of hospitalized patients with cardiovascular diseases, analyze the related influencing factors, and construct a prediction model based on machine learning technology, so as to provide a basis for the fall management of hospitalized patients with cardiovascular diseases. Methods:This study was a retrospective cohort study. A total of 450 patients admitted to the Department of Cardiology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from June 2017 to June 2024 were selected as the research objects by convenience sampling method. By reviewing electronic medical records, trained nurses extracted the patients' general information and Activities of Daily Living Scale (ADL) scores during hospitalization. Lasso regression was used to screen risk factors, and machine learning libraries were used to construct support vector machine (SVM), decision tree, XGBoost, and neural network models. Bootstrap resampling method and area under the curve (AUC) were used to verify the model performance. Results:Among the 450 patients, there were 261 males and 189 females, with a mean age of (66.0 ± 8.4) years. Among them, 90 patients fell during hospitalization and 360 patients did not fall. The results of Lasso regression showed that ADL score ≤60 points, use of hypnotics, hypokalemia, nighttime toilet visits≥2 times, use of antihypertensive drugs, no caregiver, and history of atrial fibrillation were all risk factors for falls in hospitalized patients with cardiovascular diseases (regression coefficients ranging from 0.61 to 1.20, all P<0.01). Among the machine learning models, XGBoost had the best comprehensive performance (AUC=0.98), which was better than decision tree (AUC=0.66), SVM (AUC=0.95), and neural network (AUC=0.87). Conclusions:The fall risk of hospitalized patients with cardiovascular diseases is jointly affected by physiological, medication and behavioral factors, and the XGBoost model can effectively identify high-risk groups. In actual clinical work, nursing strategies can be optimized in combination with risk factors, and the application of intelligent fall prediction and assessment tools can be promoted.

Objective:To explore the health education needs of patients undergoing fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) at different stages of treatment. Methods:A qualitative research method was employed and an interview guide based on timing theory was developed. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with patients treated for colorectal conditions with FMT at Tenth People's Hospital of Tongji University from August to October 2022. Data from the interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results:A total of 19 patients aged 20 to 65 were interviewed, including seven males and 12 females. A total of five main themes and 15 subthemes were identified: health education demands during the diagnosis phase (basic information about FMT; knowledge about donor screening), health education demands during the preparation phase (alleviating discomfort caused by nasoenteric tubes; interpretation of examination reports), health education demands during the execution phase (dietary guidance during FMT; exercise guidance during FMT; medication and supplementary training guidance; management of adverse reactions), health education demands during the adaptation phase (consolidating treatment effects; knowledge related to FMT capsules; post-discharge follow-up content and methods; post-discharge precautions), long-term health education demands (diverse health education tools; individualized health education approaches; alleviating psychological anxiety) .Conclusions:Patients undergoing FMT have numerous concerns, and diverse health education needs throughout the treatment process. Healthcare professionals should adopt various health education strategies to address these needs.
