In recent years, the worldwide incidence rate of peripheral arterial and aortic diseases has increased year by year, significantly increasing the cardiovascular mortality and incidence rate of the whole population. In the past, peripheral arterial and aortic diseases were often more prone to missed diagnosis and delayed treatment compared to coronary artery disease. The 2024 ESC guidelines for the management of peripheral arterial and aortic diseases for the first time combines peripheral arterial and aortic diseases, integrating and updating the 2017 guidelines for peripheral arterial disease and the 2014 guidelines for aortic disease. The aim is to provide standardized recommendations for the management of systemic arterial diseases, ensuring that patients can receive coherent and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, thereby improving prognosis. This article interprets the main content of the guideline in order to provide reference and assistance for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial and aortic diseases in China at the current stage.

[Objective] To analyse and predict the tendencies of using erythrocyte blood in Changsha based on the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model, long short-term memory (LSTM) and ARIMA-LSTM combination model, so as to provide reliable basis for designing a feasible and effective blood inventory management strategy. [Methods] The data of erythrocyte usage from hospitals in Changsha between January 2012 and December 2023 were collected, and ARIMA model, LSTM model and ARIMA-LSTM combination model were established. The actual erythrocyte consumption from January to May 2024 were used to assess and verify the prediction effect of the models. The extrapolation prediction accuracy of the models were tested using two evaluation indicators: mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and root mean square error (RMSE), and then the prediction performance of the model was compared. [Results] The RMSE of LSTM model, optimal model ARIMA(1,1,1)(1,1,1)12 and ARIMA-LSTM combination model were respectively 5 206.66, 3 096.43 and 2 745.75, and the MAPE were 18.78%,11.54% and 9.76% respectively, which indicated that the ARIMA-LSTM combination model was more accurate than the ARIMA model and LSTM model, and the prediction results was basically consistent with the actual situation. [Conclusion] The ARIMA-LSTM model can better predict the clinical erythrocyte consumption in Changsha in the short term.

ObjectiveTo explore the scientific connotation of fried charcoal survivability of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos（LJF） by analyzing the correlation between the color change and the intrinsic components during the processing of LJF Carbonisata（LJFC）， and taking pH， charcoal adsorption and microscopic characteristics as indexes. MethodLJFC samples with different degrees of processing were prepared according to the stir-frying time of 0.0， 1.5， 3.0， 4.5， 6.0， 7.5， 9.0， 10.5 min（numbered S1-S8）， and the contents of gallic acid， chlorogenic acid， cryptochlorogenic acid， rutin， luteoloside， isochlorogenic acid A and isochlorogenic acid C were determined by high performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）， and the L^*（brightness）， a^*（red-greenness） and b^*（yellow-blueness） of LJFC samples with different degrees of processing were determined by spectrophotometer， and the correlation analysis and principal component analysis（PCA） between the contents of seven representative components and the color of the samples were carried out by SPSS 26. 0 and SIMCA-P 14.1. Then pH， adsorption force and characteristic structure of different samples of LJFC were detected and the processing pattern of LJFC was analyzed. ResultThe results of quantitative analysis revealed that the contents of luteoloside， rutin， chlorogenic acid and isochlorogenic acid A gradually decreased， and the contents of cryptochlorogenic acid， isochlorogenic acid C and gallic acid firstly increased and then decreased. The L^* and b^* of the sample powders decreased， and a^* showed a trend of increasing and then decreasing. The L^* and b^* were positively correlated with the contents of chlorogenic acid， rutin， luteoloside， isochlorogenic acid A， b^* was positively correlated with the content of gallic acid， and a^* was positively correlated with the contents of cryptochlorogenic acid and isochlorogenic acid C. PCA revealed that samples could be clearly divided into 3 groups， S1-S2 as one group， S3-S5 as one group， and S6-S8 as one group， with S3 having the highest score. The results of regression analysis showed that only isochlorogenic acid C could be used to predict the contents of components by colorimetric values combined with regression equations. Physicochemical analysis showed that pH of LJFC increased with the increase of degree of charcoal stir-frying， while adsorption force showed a tendency of increasing and then decreasing， with the highest adsorption force in the S5 sample， and the non-glandular hairs， calcium oxalate clusters and pollen grains had a varying degree of decreasing with the deepening of processing degree， and the microstructures of S6-S8 samples were obviously charred with pollen grains almost invisible. ConclusionThe changes in chemical composition and color characteristics of LJFC during the processing have certain correlations， combined with the changes in physicochemical properties， S5 sample is found to be the optimal processed products， which can provide a reference for the processing standardization and quality evaluation of LJFC， and enrich the scientific connotation of fried charcoal survivability of LJF.

ObjectiveTo investigate the therapeutic effect of Qingjie Huagong decoction （QJHGD） on a mouse model of severe acute pancreatitis （SAP） and the mechanism of action of QJHGD against inflammatory response. MethodsA total of 36 male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into blank group， model group， Western medicine group （ulinastatin）， and low-， middle-， and high-dose QJHGD groups， with 6 mice in each group. All mice except those in the blank group were given 5% sodium taurocholate by retrograde pancreaticobiliary injection to establish a model of SAP. After modeling， the mice in the low-， middle-， and high-dose groups were given QJHGD （1， 2， and 4 g/kg， respectively） by gavage， and those in the Western medicine group were given intraperitoneal injection of ulinastatin （5×10⁴ U/kg）， for 7 days in total. HE staining was used to observe the histopathological changes of the pancreas； ELISA was used to measure the levels of α-amylase， lipase， interleukin-1β （IL-1β）， interleukin-6 （IL-6）， interleukin-8 （IL-8）， interleukin-18 （IL-18）， and tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α） in mice； RT-qPCR was used to measure the mRNA expression levels of NOD-like receptor protein3 （NLRP3）， Toll-like receptor 4 （TLR4）， and nuclear factor-kappa B （NF-κB） in pancreatic tissue； immunohistochemistry was used to measure the positive expression rates of NLRP3， TLR4， and NF-κB in pancreatic tissue； Western blot was used to measure the protein expression levels of NLRP3， TLR4， NF-κB， IL-1β， and IL-6. An analysis of variance was used for comparison of continuous data between multiple groups， and the least significant difference t-test was used for further comparison between two groups. ResultsCompared with the blank group， the model group had diffuse destruction of pancreatic tissue structure， focal dilatation of pancreatic lobular septum， pancreatic acinar atrophy， and massive inflammatory cell infiltration， as well as significant increases in the content of α-amylase， lipase， IL-1β， IL-6， IL-8， IL-18， and TNF-α （all P<0.05）， the mRNA expression levels and positive expression rates of NLRP3， TLR4， and NF-κB （all P<0.05）， and the protein expression levels of NLRP3， TLR4， NF-κB， IL-1β， and IL-6 （all P<0.05）. Compared with the model group， the low-， middle-， and high-dose QJHGD groups and the Western medicine group had slightly tighter and more intact structure of pancreatic tissue， ordered arrangement of pancreatic acinar cells， a small amount of inflammatory cell infiltration， and hemorrhagic foci of pancreatic lobules， as well as significant reductions in the content of α-amylase， lipase， IL-1β， IL-6， IL-8， IL-18， and TNF-α （all P<0.05）， the mRNA expression levels and positive expression rates of NLRP3， TLR4， and NF-κB （all P<0.05）， and the protein expression levels of NLRP3， TLR4， NF-κB， IL-1β， and IL-6 （all P<0.05）. ConclusionQJHGD may exert a protective effect on the pancreatic tissue of SAP mice by inhibiting the activation of NLRP3/TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway-related proteins， reducing the release of inflammatory mediators， and preventing the enhancement of inflammatory cascade response.

Objective: To investigate the incidence trend of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in Yantian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province from 2008 to 2022, and the effects of age, period, and cohort on STDs incidence, so as to provide the basis for formulating control measures for STDs. Methods: Data of reported STDs cases (syphilis, gonorrhea, genital Chlamydia trachomatis infections, condyloma acuminatum and genital herpes) among population aged 15 to 64 years in Yantian District from 2008 to 2022 were collected through the Chinese Disease Control and Prevention Information System. The temporal and population distribution of STDs were descriptively analyzed. Trends in incidence of STDs were analyzed using average annual percent change (AAPC). Impacts of age, period and cohort on the incidence of STDs were analyzed by an age-period-cohort model. Results: A total of 6 156 cases of STDs aged 15 to 64 years were reported from 2008 to 2022, and the average annual incidence was 229.92/105. The overall incidence showed an upward trend (AAPC=2.409%, P<0.05), and an upward trend among females (AAPC=5.846%, P<0.05), but the trend was not statistically significant among males (AAPC=0.193%, P>0.05). The incidence of STDs showed an increasing trend followed by a decreasing trend with the increase of age. The incidence trend among males was consistent with the overall population, reaching its peak in the age group of 30 to 34 years (371.04/105), while the incidence among females showed an increasing trend with the increase of age, peaking in the age group of 60 to 64 years (442.15/105). Compared with 2013-2017, the incidence risk of STDs showed an increasing trend in 2018-2022 (RR=1.349, 95%CI: 1.217-1.495). Compared with the birth cohort of 1975-1979, the incidence risk of STDs in 1980-2005 birth cohort showed an increasing trend, with the highest incidence risk in 2000-2004 birth cohort (RR=4.178, 95%CI: 2.717-6.423). Conclusions The overall incidence of STDs among residents aged 15 to 64 years in Yantian District from 2008 to 2022 appeared a tendency towards a rise. Age, period and cohort all had impacts on the incidence, with a greater effect among females than males.

The lymphatic system, as well as pathological changes of the lymphatic system, underlies the progress of an array of diseases and conditions, including cancer, inflammation and autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases and metabolic syndrome. A variety of biological targets in the lymphatic system can be employed to modulate these high-burden diseases, and the pharmacokinetics and drug delivery strategies in the context of lymphatics are of critical importance to optimise drug exposure to lymphatic-related targets. As such, research and drug development in this field has gained increasing attention in recent years. This article aims to provide an overview of pharmaceutical research with a focus on the lymphatic system and therapeutic targets within the lymphatics, followed by lymphatic drug delivery approaches, which may be of interest for researchers in academia, pharmaceutical industry and regulatory sciences.

Fluorescence anisotropy(FA)analysis has many advantages such as no requirement of separation,high throughput and real-time detection,and thus has been widely used in many fields,including biochemical analysis,food safety detection,environmental monitoring,etc.However,due to the small volume or mass of the target,its combination with the fluorescence probe cannot produce significant signal change.To solve this issue,researchers often use nanomaterials to enhance the mass or volume of fluorophore to improve the sensitivity.Nevertheless,this FA amplification strategy also has some disadvantages.Firstly,nanomaterials are easy to quench fluorescence.As a result,the FA value is easily influenced by light scattering,which reduces the detection accuracy.Secondly,fluorescent probes in most methods require complex modification steps.Therefore,it is necessary to develop new FA probes that do not require the amplification of volume and mass or modification.As a new kind of nanomaterials,luminescent metal-organic framework(MOF)has a large volume(or mass)and strong fluorescence emission.It does not require additional signal amplification materials.As a consequence,it can be used as a potential FA probe.This study successfully synthesized a lanthanide metal organic framework(Ce-TCPP MOF)using cerium ion(Ce3+)as the central ion and 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-carboxylphenyl)porphyrin(H2TCPP)as the ligand through microwave assisted method,and used it as a novel unmodified FA probe to detect phosphate ions(Pi).In the absence of Pi,Ce-TCPP MOF had a significant FA value(r).After addition of Pi,Pi reacted with Ce3+in MOF and destroyed the structure of MOF into the small pieces,resulting in a decrease in r.The experimental results indicated that with the increase of Pi concentration,the change of the r of Ce-TCPP MOF(Δr)gradually increased.The Δr and Pi concentration showed a good linear relationship within the range of 0.5-3.5 μmol/L(0.016-0.108 mg/L).The limit of detection(LOD,3σ/k)was 0.41 μmol/L.The concentration of Pi in the Jialing River water detected by this method was about 0.078 mg/L,and the Pi value detected by ammonium molybdate spectrophotometry was about 0.080 mg/L.The two detection results were consistent with each other,and the detection results also meet the ClassⅡwater quality standard,proving that this method could be used for the detection of Pi in complex water bodies.

Objective To analyze the literature on artificial intelligence in forensic research from 2012 to 2022 in the Web of Science Core Collection Database,to explore research hotspots and developmen-tal trends.Methods A total of 736 articles on artificial intelligence in forensic medicine in the Web of Science Core Collection Database from 2012 to 2022 were visualized and analyzed through the litera-ture measuring tool CiteSpace.The authors,institution,country(region),title,journal,keywords,cited references and other information of relevant literatures were analyzed.Results A total of 736 articles published in 220 journals by 355 authors from 289 institutions in 69 countries(regions)were identi-fied,with the number of articles published showing an increasing trend year by year.Among them,the United States had the highest number of publications and China ranked the second.Academy of Forensic Science had the highest number of publications among the institutions.Forensic Science Inter-national,Journal of Forensic Sciences,International Journal of Legal Medicine ranked high in publica-tion and citation frequency.Through the analysis of keywords,it was found that the research hotspots of artificial intelligence in the forensic field mainly focused on the use of artificial intelligence technol-ogy for sex and age estimation,cause of death analysis,postmortem interval estimation,individual identification and so on.Conclusion It is necessary to pay attention to international and institutional cooperation and to strengthen the cross-disciplinary research.Exploring the combination of advanced ar-tificial intelligence technologies with forensic research will be a hotspot and direction for future re-search.

Objective To investigate the changes in the position of the fibular sesamoid bone with hallux valgus aggravated under two conditions:the foot bearing anteroposterior radiography(reflecting the static bearing state of the foot)and the sesamoid bone bearing axial radiography(reflecting the foot movement state).Methods Seventy-four feet with clinically suspected hallux valgus were finally enrolled in 49 feet,including 14 in the mild group,23 in the moderate group,and 12 in the severe group.Three indica-tors were measured on anteroposterior and axial radiographs:the position of the fibular sesamoid bone in anteroposterior radiographs(SP)and sesamoid axial position(SAP),and the rotation angle of the fibular sesamoid articular surface(RAf).The vertical distance between the fibular sesamoid bone and the second metatarsal bone was used to represent the position of the fibular sesamoid bone,then the position of the fibular sesamoid in the anteroposterior and axial positions was specifically marked as SPf-2 and SAPf-2.To cor-rect the anatomical differences of each foot,the ratio of the measured distance index to the length of the second metatarsal bone(AB),namely SPf-2/AB,SAPf-2/AB,was included in the statistical analysis.Results SPf-2/AB and SAPf-2/AB had no significant difference between hallux valgus groups(P＞0.05).The mean values of SPf-2/AB and SAPf-2/AB were significantly different(P＜0.05).RAf was positively correlated with hallux valgus angle(HVA)(r=0.725,P＜0.001),increased as HVA increased.Conclusion Both weight-bearing anteroposterior and sesamoid axial radiographs(foot at rest and in motion),the position of the fibular sesamoid bone is not affected by hallux valgus,and the distance from the center of the fibular sesamoid bone to the second metatarsal bone remains unchanged.The position of the fibular sesamoid bone is not the same between the anteroposterior and axial radiographs,so it is necessary to evaluate the position of the fibular sesamoid bone in the two states respectively and combine the two methods.RAf increases with the increase of HVA in axial view,it is considered that although the central position of the fibular sesamoid bone remains the same under foot movement,it does reverse spin movement toward the tibial side with the aggravation of hallux valgus.
