2.Analysis of risk prevention behaviors and influencing factors of HIV infection among young students with MSM
Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(9):1323-1327
Objective:
To explore the potential category patterns of risk prevention and control behaviors of HIV infection among young students who have sex with men (MSM) and their impact on HIV infection and late detection, aiming to optimize intervention strategies.
Methods:
From September 2017 to December 2024, a total of 1 637 MSM young students in Tianjin were recruited through both online and offline channels. Latent class analysis was applied to classify 11 HIV risk prevention and control behaviors [condom use during the most recent anal sex in the past 6 months, consistent condom use, use of water based lubricants, abstinence from recreational drugs, regular on site professional testing, fixed sexual partners, partner testing, awareness of partner s HIV testing results, testing before sexual activity, nucleic acid testing, and use of pre exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) or post exposure prophylaxis (PEP)]. Multivariate Logistic regression analyzed associations between demographic characteristics/intervention services factors and latent classes. Differences in HIV infection and late detection across behavior patterns were compared.
Results:
HIV risk prevention and control behaviors among MSM students were classified into three latent classes:condom dependent group (38.42%), low prevention group (27.73%), and comprehensive prevention group (33.85%). Students who received condom promotion/testing services were more likely to belong to the comprehensive prevention group ( OR =5.58), while those who received peer education were less likely to the comprehensive prevention group ( OR =0.43) (both P <0.01). Among the MSM student population, the HIV infection rate was 4.83%, with 2.26% of cases detected late. The HIV infection rate (1.45%) and late detection proportion (0.82%) in the comprehensive prevention group were lower than those in the low prevention group (7.89% and 3.83%, respectively) ( χ 2=16.20, 7.31, both P <0.01).
Conclusions
HIV risk prevention and control behaviors among MSM young students exhibit significant heterogeneity. Comprehensive prevention strategies can effectively reduce HIV infection and late detection risks. It is necessary to optimize peer education content and improve the accessibility of diversified prevention measures such as PrEP/PEP to enhance HIV prevention and control.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common pruritic and chronic inflammatory dermatosis in clinical practice and is one of the diseases responding specifically to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). With the launch of biological agents and small molecule drugs and the development and implementation of guidelines of diagnosis and treatment, clinical pathways of treatment of moderate to severe AD, and consensus on the whole-process management of AD, the clinical efficacy of moderate to severe AD has been significantly improved. However, there are still many unmet clinical needs that require more effective methods to meet. In response to the Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Facilitating the Inheritance, Innovation, and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the spirit of the National Conference on TCM, the China Association of Chinese Medicine organized more than 20 experts in TCM dermatology, Western medicine dermatology, interdisciplinary fields, and industries to discuss the difficulties and advantages of TCM in the treatment of AD. TCM treatment for AD can not only improve rash and relieve itching but also solve many concomitant syndromes. The abundant external treatment methods of TCM have advantages for different special populations and rash characteristics. The concept of treating disease before its onset in TCM is in line with the chronic disease management mode of prevention and treatment of atopic march and prevention of recurrence. In addition, TCM therapy can reduce the use of topical glucocorticoids and has good safety. Regarding the comorbidity of AD, equal emphasis on TCM and Western medicine and multidisciplinary joint treatment should be advocated to achieve maximum benefit for patients. The exchange of TCM and Western medicine has clarified the positioning and advantages of TCM intervention in AD, providing guidance for clinical and scientific research.

Objective:To investigate the protective effect of myrislignan(MRL)on concanavalin A(Con A)-induced autoimmune hepatitis(AIH).Methods:C57BL/6J mice were divided into the following groups using a random number table, with five mice in each group:control group,MRL group, model group(Con A group),and MRL pretreatment group(MRL+Con A group). MRL was injected intraperitoneally at a dose of 30 μg/g;3 h after pretreatment,Con A(18 μg/g)was administrated by intravenous injection;mouse livers and serum samples were collected 12 h after injection for measuring serum transaminase levels and liver cell apoptosis. The mRNA and protein expression levels of IL-6,IL-12,and TNF-α were measured using qRT-PCR and ELISA. Flow cytometry was performed to detect the proportion and activation status of macrophages in liver tissues. Bone marrow-derived macrophages(BMDMs)were isolated and induced in vitro to analyze the regulatory effect of MRL on macrophages. One-way analysis of variance was used to compare the differences in various indicators among groups. Results:Compared with the Con A group,MRL(30 μg/g)pretreatment significantly reduced alanine aminotransferase( P<0.05)and aspartate transaminase( P<0.01)levels,attenuated liver oxidative stress(increased superoxide dismutase activity, while decreased levels of malondialdehyde and myeloperoxidase;all P<0.05),and suppressed hepatocyte apoptosis( P<0.01). Both in vivo and in vitro experiments confirmed that MRL(30 μg/g)could reduce the proportion of M1 macrophages( in vivo: P<0.05; in vitro:all P<0.001)and inhibit macrophage activation( in vivo: P<0.01; in vitro:all P<0.05). Conclusion:MRL effectively prevents Con A-induced autoimmune hepatitis by inhibiting liver cell apoptosis, attenuating liver oxidative stress, suppressing M1 macrophage polarization, and reducing inflammatory cytokine expression.

This study summarizes Professor Qin Zhenhua's clinical experience in treating cutaneous pruritus using a modified self-prescribed formula,Yinqiao Xingzi Decoction.Following the viewpoints from the classical Chinese medical literature and after years of clinical practice,Professor Qin proposes that the onset of cutaneous pruritus is often associated with the attack of exogenous pathogens, disharmony of qi and blood,or debility due to prolonged illness. The disease primarily involves the skin, with the fundamental pathogenesis of pathogens stagnating in the muscular superficies.Clinically, the treatment is frequently conducted from the perspective of fire-heat syndrome, and the therapeutic methods of clearing heat and removing toxins, releasing muscles and dispersing pathogens from the superficies, and dispelling wind to relieve itching are utilized. The approaches aim to cool heat in the blood, expel pathogens from the muscular layer, eliminate heat for stopping itching, and extinguish wind for calming the skin. The basic prescription,Yinqiao Xingzi Decoction(composed of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos,Forsythiae Fructus,Armeniacae Semen Amarum,Arnebiae Radix,Tribuli Fructus,Dictamni Cortex,Kochiae Fructus, and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma),is used by modification depending on the predominance of pathogenic factors of wind, heat, dryness,or dampness-toxins,and according to the various syndromes like blood-heat,yin deficiency,or qi-blood deficiency.Yinqiao Xingzi Decoction is applicable to cutaneous pruritus with the most of clinical common syndrome types, but it is unsuitable for cases caused by yang deficiency or qi stagnation with blood stasis.

Objective To propose and validate a decomposition method based on half-projection reconstruction for dual-energy cone beam CT(DE CBCT),thereby providing a potentially feasible low-dose imaging solution for anatomical monitoring and dose reconstruction optimization in adaptive radiotherapy. Methods Dual-energy scans were performed on a Gammex phantom using the on-board kilovoltage CBCT system of a VitalBeam accelerator at acquisition frame rates of 15 and 7 frames per second(f/s).Images were reconstructed from the projection data, and dual-energy decomposition was applied to the 7 f/s dual-energy images to derive relative electron density(RED)and stopping power ratio(SPR)using weighted formulas and empirical functions, followed by accuracy evaluation.Additionally, the weighted CT dose index was calculated for different scanning parameters. Results Dual-energy decomposition effectively suppressed image artifacts, with RED and SPR errors remaining below 2.82%and 2.56%,respectively.Compared with the traditional dual-scan method which required high-and low-energy acquisitions, the weighted CT dose index of the half-projection DE CBCT was reduced by 11.60 mGy(a 52.90%reduction).Furthermore,it was 2.58 mGy lower than the dose of the full-projection high-energy CBCT alone(a 19.98%reduction)and only 1.31 mGy higher than that of the low-energy CBCT(a 14.52%increase).Conclusion The proposed method effectively suppresses image artifacts while maintaining high accuracy in RED and SPR under low radiation dose conditions, demonstrating its potential value for scenarios requiring frequent image guidance, such as adaptive radiotherapy.
