Objective:To construct a risk prediction model for malnutrition in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and develop an online calculator to predict individual risk values.Methods:A convenience sampling method was used to select 386 lung cancer patients admitted to the Department of Medical Oncology at the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing from October 2022 to March 2023 as research subjects. They were divided into a well-nourished group and a malnourished group based on the presence or absence of malnutrition. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors of malnutrition in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The nomogram of the risk prediction model was drawn and the online calculator was developed using R Studio 4.3.2 software. The model was evaluated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, sensitivity, specificity, Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test, and decision curve analysis.Results:Among the 372 lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, there were 237 males and 135 females, with 147 in the well-nourished group and 225 in the malnourished group. The incidence rate of malnutrition was 60.48%. Age 60 - 70 years [ OR(95% CI) = 1.74(1.03 - 2.93)], body mass index > 24.0 kg/m 2 [ OR(95% CI) = 0.58(0.36 - 0.93)], regular exercise [ OR(95% CI) = 0.53(0.33 - 0.85)], physical frailty [pre-frailty: OR(95% CI) = 2.74(1.61 - 4.65); frailty syndrome: OR(95% CI) = 2.67(1.37 - 5.22)], insomnia [ OR(95% CI) = 2.81(1.59 - 4.94)], and sarcopenia [ OR(95% CI) = 4.09(1.32 - 12.70)] were identified as independent influencing factors for malnutrition in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy (all P<0.05). The area under the curve of the constructed prediction model was 0.76, with a sensitivity of 72%, specificity of 72%, a Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test P value of 0.594, and a mean absolute error of 0.018. Conclusions:The risk prediction model and online calculator for malnutrition in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy constructed in this study demonstrated good performance, providing a reference for precise nutritional intervention and early screening in clinical practice.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the effect difference between acupuncture combined with western medication and simple western medication for Meniere's disease. METHODS: Ninety-six patients with Meniere's disease were randomly assigned into a combination group (48 cases, 12 cases dropping) and a medication group (48 cases, 9 cases dropping). Betastatin mesylate tablets (once 12 mg, 3 times a day) and mecobalamin tablets (once 0.5 mg, 3 times a day) were prescribed orally in the two groups. Acupuncture was used in the combination group, twice a week, 20 min a time, and the acupoints were Baihui (GV 20), Fengchi (GB 20), Tinggong (SI 19), Hegu (LI 4), Quchi (LI 11), Zusanli (ST 36), Fenglong (ST 40), Taichong (LR 3), Taixi (KI 3) and Tianshu (ST 25). All the treatment was given for continuous 12 weeks. The symptoms were observed by dizziness handicap inventory (DHI), tinnitus handicap inventory (THI), pure tone audiometry score and stuffy ear visual analogue scale (VAS). The effects were compared in the aspects of dizziness, hearing and activity. RESULTS: The scores of DHI, THI, pure tone audiometry and VAS scores after treatment were lower than those before treatment in the two groups (all <0.05), with lower scores of the above 4 indexes in the combination group after treatment (all <0.05). The difference values before and after treatment of the 4 indexes in the combination group were higher than those in the medication group (all <0.05). The effective rates of dizziness, hearing and activity in the combination group were 97.2% (35/36), 91.7% (33/36), 88.9% (32/36), which were better than 71.8% (28/39), 74.4% (29/39) and 69.2% (27/39) in the medication group (all <0.05). CONCLUSION Acupuncture combined with conventional medication achieve better effect than simple conventional medication.

Objective To explore the reproductive outcomes of different management strategies of ectopic pregnancy .Methods A retrospective cohort study was performed for 648 consecutive patients with a diagnosis of ectopic pregnaney between June 2011 and september 2013.The follow-ups were conducted telephone interviews of pregnancy outcomes after various treatments .Results The subsequent intrauterine pregnancy rates after surgical , medical and expectant managements were 89(65.0%), 35(79.6%) and 6 (54.5%) the intrauterine pregnancy was higher for medical treatment than that for surgical treatment (P<0.05).The subsequent infertility rate after surgical , medical and expectant management were 4.5%, 36.4%, 19.0%.The subsequent infertility rate after medical treatment was lower than that for surgical and expectant managament ( P<0.05) .The re-ectopic pregnancy rates of laproscopic versus abdominal operation were [11 (11.7%), 13(30.2%)] with significant difference (P<0.05).And abdominal operation was higher than laproscopic operation .Conclusion For younger ectopic pregnancy patients , medical treatment shold be as possible as we can .If operation is necessary , laproscopic operation is preferred .

OBJECTIVE: To assess hearing effect of ossicular chain reconstruction with titanium ossicular replacement prosthesis during mastoidectomy with synchronous ossiculoplasty in chronic middle ear disease. METHOD: Retrospective reviews were performed for 139 patients who had underwent mastoidectomy and tympanoplasty with titanium ossicular replacement prostheses at the same time between 2008 and 2011. The partial ossicular replacement prostheses (PORP) were used in 91 patients and the total ossicular replacement prostheses (TORP) were used in 48 patients respectively. All patients had follow-up for 2 to 5 years. The preoperative and postoperative mean air conduction and air-bone gaps(ABG) for the four frequencies (0.5, 1.0, 2.0 and 4.0 kHz) were evaluated. The improvement of mean air conduction and ABG over the same frequencies were measured. A postoperative ABG less than or equal to 20 dB was considered a successful operation. The hearing results of titanium PORP and TORP were compared. RESULT: The mean air conductions were (53.97 +/- 11.32)dB and (36.80 +/- 11.68) dB preoperatively and postoperatively in PORP group. The mean improvement in air conduction was (17.17 +/- 5.79)dB. The mean ABG was (31.84 +/- 6.17)dB and (15.13 +/- 7.22)dB preoperatively and postoperatively in PORP group. The mean improvement in ABG was (17.71 +/- 5.5)dB. The difference of hearing threshold between preoperative and postoperative had statistical significance (P < 0.01). The mean air conduction were (58.05 +/- 11.35)dB and (44.53 +/- 13.15)dB preoperatively and postoperatively in TORP group. The mean improvement in air conduction was (13.52 +/- 7.81)dB. The mean ABG; were (35.67 +/- 5.73)dB and (21.48 +/- 7.01)dB preoperatively and postoperatively for TORP group. The mean improvement of hearing threshold in ABG was (14.18 +/- 7.53)dB. The difference of hearing threshold between preoperative and postoperative had statistical significance (P < 0.01). ABG less than 20 dB after operationwas happened in 68.63% of the patients (74.73% for PORP and 54.17% for TORP). There was statistically significant difference between PORP and TORP (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION We conclude that titanium ossicular reconstruction during mastoidectomy with synchronous ossiculoplasty give stable and excellent hearing results. We obtained better results with PORP than with TORP.

Objective To investigate the risk of heart failure to the mother and the neonate.Methods The clinical data of 30 pregnant womem with heart failure from January 1993 to December 2010 from Capital Medical University Tongren Hospital was retrospectively analyzed.Results Of the 30 patients,there were 12 affected with congenital heart disease (40％) ; 9 with rheumatic heart disease 30％,7 with heart failure in pregnancy-induced hypertension 23％.Heart failure appeared at the average of (34.20 ± 4.25) weeks in pregnancy.The average terminal time of pregnancy was (34.84 ± 2.17) weeks.The rate of early birth was 73.33％.The average birth weight was (2011 ±568) g,with 7 babies less than 2000 g.No death occurred in both new the mother and the neonate.Condusion The main causes of heart failure in pregnancy are congenital and rheumatic heart disease and pregnancy-induced hypertension.For those heart failure occurs before 30 weeks,it is the first selection that pregnancy shoud be terminated; For those occur after 30 weeks,active treatment should be performed to improve maternal heart function and promote fetal maturity.Apropriate threatment during per-cesarean section may decrease the case fatality of the mother and neonate.

Objective To evaluate the probability of siblings identification in Identifiler system by using the software of automatic analysis.Methods Using the software of automatic analysis in siblings jdentification.STP genetic typing of 151 pairs of full siblings and 31224 pairs of unrelated individuals from manual simulation were analyzed in 15 STR loci of ldentifiler system.Results Kin probability(W_(FS))of 39.07% full siblings were more than 99.999% while W_(FS) of unrelated individual pairs were 0% .W_(FS) of 60.93% full siblings and 21.3% unrelated individual pairs were all at the range from 99.999% to 1% .W_(FS) of 78.7% unrelated individual pairs 0% full siblings individuals were less than 1% .Therefore,there were notability difference between full siblings and unrelated individual pairs.In addition,testing of 15 STR loci of Identifiler system,it suggested that the pair were siblings when the locus number of the entirely-same is not less than 5 or that of the entirely-different is not more than 1,and that the pair were unrelated individuals when the locus number of the entirely-different is not less than 6 or that of the entirely-8alne is not more than 1.Conclusion The software of automatic analysis and the Identifiler system call be used to siblings identification.

Objective To study the effect of dexamethasone on pulmonary fibrosis model induced by bleomycin in rats and the expression of STAT1 and PDGF in lung tissue,and to discuss the possible mechanism.Methods Forty-five Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups(15 in each group).They were dexamethasone group(DXM group),bleomycin group(BLM group) and control group(NS group):① The DEX group were intratracheally instilled with belomycin(BLM)(5mg/kg,in 1ml 0.9% NaCl solution),and then were treated with dexamethasone 3mg/kg via celiac injection daily;② BLM group were intratracheally instilled with BLM(5mg/kg),and then were treated with saline 3mg/kg via celiac injection daily;③ NS group were intratracheally instilled with saline(5mg/kg),and then were treated with saline 3mg/kg via celiac injection daily.Five rats in each group were sacrificed at 7,14,and 28 days after intratrachel instillation.Histological changes of the lungs were evaluated by HE stain.The bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) of right lung was gotten and the cells counting as well as differentiation were figured out.The expression of STAT1 and PDGF protein was assessed by immunohistochemistry.Results(1) The total number of inflammatory cells in BALF in BLM group was the highest at day 7 and diminished at day 14 and 28,which was significant different compared with that of the NS group(P

ObjectiveTo study the effect of exercise on expression of p38 after cerebral infarction in rats.MethodsThe right middle cerebral artery was occluded(MCAO) with electric coagulation in Wistar rats,and then were divided into three groups at random 48 hours later: training group which were given wheel-running exercise everyday(n=20);control group(n=20) and sham group(n=10).The expression of p38 in cortex of the three groups were detected on 7th,14th,21th and 28th day after the MCAO.ResultsIn the cortex around the infarcted focus,the expressions of p38 elevated much significantly after cerebral infarction(P<0.05).The expression of p38 in training group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05) on the 21th and 28th day.ConclusionThe cerebral infarction could induce the expression of p38.The exercise could enhance its expression.
