OBJECTIVE:
To assess the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of microRNA-146a (miR-146a) with clinical features of rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
METHODS:
In 126 patients with RA and 102 matched healthy controls, SNPs of miR-146a rs2910164 locus were determined with a high-resolution melting method. The association of such polymorphisms with disease activity score in 28 joints (DAS28) and clinical features of RA was assessed.
RESULTS:
The distribution of SNPs of miR-146a rs2910164 among RA patients did not differ from that of the control group. No significant association was found between miR-146a rs2910164 polymorphism with DAS28. However, RA patients with a GG genotype had a greater chance to develop extra-articular manifestations (P<0.01).
CONCLUSION
Polymorphisms of miR-146a rs2910164 locus is not an independent risk factor for RA, though its GG genotype may be associated with extra-articular manifestations of RA.

A 8-channel neural signal′s simultaneous transducer detection micro system was developed to research the neural loop located at the brain hippocampus zone. The components of the system contained the neural probe manufactured with the Micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS) technique based on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate, biological low noise chopper-stabilization amplifier, low noise and intermediate speed SAR-ADC converter, reduced and low power ASK/FSK modulation radio transmitter. The micro system was applicable with the characters of small volume, interferences free, neural electrophysiology and neurotransmitter simultaneous detection, high sensitivity, high linearity, etc. The electrode resistance was optimized to 35.0 kΩ after depositing nanometer platinum black on the 4 electrophysiological sites on the Pt electrode. With the modification enzyme technique, nanomaterial enzyme membrane (Pt-mPD-GluOx) was directly fixed on the glutamate detection locus for selectively detecting special neural neurotransmitter matter. In addition, the electrochemistry measurement results indicated that the linear range of glutamate was 6-35 μmol/L with correlation coefficient of 0.97, the sensitivity was 0.0069 pA/(μmol/L). The current response error was less than 3.0 pA, which showed that the neural needle satisfied differential selection. Also, the logic/analog mixed signal 180-nm Application specific integrated circuit (ASIC ) technique (SmicRF180 nm 1Poly6M) was used to manufacture the transducer back-end disposing IC chip, and the test results provided some key parameters such as chopper-stabilization amplifier (equivalent in putting noise voltage ≤0.7 μV rms@1 kHz, gain of 71-82 dB, CMRR/PSRR>100 dB), SAR-ADC (ENOB is 12 bits, power consumption is 1.2 mW when maxmium conversion speed is 1 Msps, signal-noise-ratio is 60.9 dB, etc), and ASK/FSK modulation radio transmitter (the PA′s outputting power of 4-5 dBm, the radiation range of 10 meters). The micro neural transducer integrated system was convenient and wireless wearable for the research of brain hippocampus region.

Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics and causes of serotonin syndrome induced by tramadol in order to provide references for rational drug use in clinical practice. Methods:The relevant literatures published in domestic medical journals from the building of database to 2016 were retrieved in PubMed, EMbase, CNKI and WanFang database and statistically analyzed in respects of types and relevance evaluation of adverse drug reactions, the age and gender distribution of patients, the application of drugs, occurrence time of serotonin syndrome, clinical manifestations, treatment and outcome. Results:A total of 21 cases of seroto-nin syndrome induced by tramadol were collected. Totally 19 cases were caused by combined drug use, among which 12 cases were combined with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. The results of relevance evaluation showed 19 cases of possible relevance and 2 cases of probable relevance. Totally 10 cases of severe adverse drug reactions were reported and 11 cases of common adverse drug reac-tions were exhibited. One patient was heterozygous for CYP2D6 polymorphisms(CYP2D6?1/?4) causing decreased metabolizing a-bility to tramadol. Totally 28.6% of patients developed symptoms in 24h after the addition of new serotonergic agents or increase the dosage of serotonergic agents. In most cases, the patients' syndrome resolved with discontinuation of at least one serotonergic drug and symptomatic treatment, usually in less than one week. Conclusion:When prescribing tramadol, physicians should be aware of seroto-nin syndrome induced by drug-drug interactions and possible pharmacogenetic factors. It is important that safety monitoring should be carried out in patients during the application of drugs to reduce the harm of adverse drug reactions.
