Objective To design and construct a syndrome differentiation knowledge graph that integrates TCM facial color diagnosis information; To explore the hidden relationships between the knowledge. Methods The literature data came from ancient classics, textbooks,as well as standard literature related to inspection included in the CNKI,VIP and Wanfang Data from the establishment of the databases to December 31,2022.The clinical data was sourced from 30 elderly individuals who underwent TCM health examinations at the Community Health Service Center in Jiading Industrial Zone,Shanghai in September 2022.Facial image acquisition was performed using TFDA-1 digital tongue and facial diagnostic instrument.By following the steps of knowledge extraction, knowledge fusion and quality assessment to construct a graph, and with the assistance of TCM experts for interpretation, using Access 2019 to integrate qualitative textual data and quantitative objective image digital information,a syndrome differentiation knowledge graph integrating TCM facial diagnosis was designed and completed in the Neo4j graph database. In addition,a method was designed to shift facial diagnosis knowledge from qualitative to quantitative. Results There were a total of 194 nodes under 8 entity term types and 12 entity term labels,as well as 361 relationships under 13 semantic relationships in knowledge graph. The Neo4j graph database provided a visualized TCM facial color diagnosis and differentiation, which could be queried and fed back using Cypher language. Conclusion The knowledge graph constructed based on the theory of TCM facial color diagnosis visually shows the complex correlation between facial color diagnosis and syndrome differentiation diagnosis, with a knowledge representation model that forms qualitative data of image features → semantic relationships → syndrome differentiation diagnosis forms.

Objective:To analyze the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of hospitalized patients with dengue fever in Guangdong Province in 2019, so as to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of dengue fever. Methods:The general data, laboratory examination data, clinical manifestations and prognosis data of 480 inpatients with dengue fever admitted to Eight People′s Hospital Affiliated to Guangzhou Medical University between January 4 and October 31, 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. The clinical and onset characteristics of patients with dengue fever were described. Results:Among 480 dengue patients, 442(92.1%) were dengue fever, 38(7.9%) were severe dengue, and 136(28.3%) had underlying diseases. The peak age of onset was mainly in young adults aged 20 to 49 years old, accounting for 66.0%(317/480) in total. The seasonal peak was mainly in August to October. There were 399(83.1%) local cases and 61(12.7%) imported cases. The most common clinical manifestations were fever (98.1%, 471/480), chills (72.9%, 350/480), headache (58.5%, 281/480) and bone/joint/muscle pain (67.1%, 322/480), followed by digestive tract symptoms and respiratory tract symptoms. Among 446 serum samples, 358 (80.3%) were dengue virus (DENV)-1, 54 (12.1%) were DENV-2, 34 (7.6%) were DENV-3. The main laboratory tests of the patients were leucopenia (65.8%, 316/480), low hematocrit (30.2%, 145/480), thrombocytopenia (48.3%, 232/480), neutropenia (44.8%, 215/480), elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) (37.7%, 181/480) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) (59.4%, 285/480). Treatment mainly adopted symptomatic support treatment and active prevention of complications. The length of stay was (5.8±3.1) days (range 1.0-38.0 days). A total of 461(96.0%) patients were cured or improved. Conclusions:In 2019, the majority of dengue fever patients in Guangdong Province are young adults aged 20 to 49 years old, and the proportion of severe patients is high, with DENV-1 infection as the main type. After symptomatic support treatment and active prevention of complications, most of the dengue fever patients have a good prognosis.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and correlates of depression in residents aged 15 and older in Hainan province. Methods Stratified multistage random sampling methods were utilized to identify 12 117 individuals (≥15 years old) from 59 villages (neighborhoods) in 24 towns (streets) within 6 counties (cities) in Hainan Province from September 2010 to November 2011.The subjects were screened with an expanded version of the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) and the respondents were divided into three groups by high risk, moderate risk and low risk of mental disorder, followed by formal diagnosis according to the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV-TR (SCID-I/P) by psychiatrists among 100% subjects in group with high risk,40% subjects in group with moderate risk and 10% subjects in group with low risk. The adjusted rate, standardized rate, and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) of the one-month and lifetime prevalence were also calculated among the 3 groups of individuals who were diagnosed with depressive disorder. The difference in whether they suffered depression was determined by the chi-squared test.Correlations to depressive disorder and the odds ratio (OR) were explored with multiple regression analysis. Results There were 97 cases of depressive disorders (1-month) and 166 cases of lifetime depressive disorders finally confirmed. The adjusted rate of 1-month prevalence was 1.38% (95%CI:1.12-1.59) and the life-time adjusted prevalence rate was 2.80% (95%CI:2.51-3.09).Female (OR=1.55,95%CI:1.12-2.14),mid-age(50-64 y,OR=1.84,95%CI:1.13-2.99),being divorced or living separated (OR=4.87,95%CI:1.86-12.73),suffering chronic diseases (OR=2.19,95%CI:1.56-3.07),and low family income were significantly associated with suffering depressive disorder. Conclusions The prevalence of the depressive disorder among residents aged 15 and older in Hainan province is lower than the nationwide prevalence.People who are female,mid-age,being divorced or not living with the partner, earning a low income, and suffering chronic diseases have more predisposition to develop the depressive disorder in Hainan province.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of percutaneous laser disc decompression(PLDD)combined with injection of collagenase through a target location for treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. Methods Ninety patients with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion scheduled for discolysis, aged 31-52 yr,weighing 58-70 kg,were randomly divided into 3 groups: PLDD group(group P,n = 29),collagenase injection group(group C,n = 31),PLDD combined with injection of collagenase through a target location group(group PC,n = 30).The puncture was performed under the guidance of CT.Group P was treated using PLDD.Group C was treated with collagenase injection.Group PC was treated with injection of collagenase after PLDD was completed. The therapeutic effect was assessed before operation and on day 7,30,60 and 90 after operation using M-JOA score. Results M-JOA grade was significantly higher at the each time point after operation in group P and PC,and on day 30,60 and 90 after operation in group C than that before operation(P < 0.05).M-JOA grade was significantly lower on day 30 after operation in group P,while higher on day 30,60 and 90 after operation in group C and PC than that on day 7 after operation(P < 0.05).M-JOA grade was significantly lower at the each time point after operation in group P and C than in group PC.Conclusion The therapeutic effect of PLDD combined with collagenase injection through a target location is stable for treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation and better than that of PLDD or collagenase injection alone.
