Yttrium-90 selective internal radiotherapy(90Y SIRT)is one of the effective local treatments for inoperable liver malignancies.Catheter-directed CT angiography(CDCTA)involves inserting a catheter into the aimed vessel before CT angiography,hence providing effective cross-sectional images for 90Y SIRT of liver malignancies,helping to ensure the implementation of precise treatment and improve the safety and effectiveness of 90Y SIRT,enormously.The progresses of CDCTA in 90Y SIRT for liver malignancies were reviewed in this article.

Hearing loss has become increasingly prevalent and causes considerable disability, thus gravely burdening the global economy. Irreversible loss of hair cells is a main cause of sensorineural hearing loss, and currently, the only relatively effective clinical treatments are limited to digital hearing equipment like cochlear implants and hearing aids, but these are of limited benefit in patients. It is therefore urgent to understand the mechanisms of damage repair in order to develop new neuroprotective strategies. At present, how to promote the regeneration of functional hair cells is a key scientific question in the field of hearing research. Multiple signaling pathways and transcriptional factors trigger the activation of hair cell progenitors and ensure the maturation of newborn hair cells, and in this article, we first review the principal mechanisms underlying hair cell reproduction. We then further discuss therapeutic strategies involving the co-regulation of multiple signaling pathways in order to induce effective functional hair cell regeneration after degeneration, and we summarize current achievements in hair cell regeneration. Lastly, we discuss potential future approaches, such as small molecule drugs and gene therapy, which might be applied for regenerating functional hair cells in the clinic.

Objective: To examine the Longitudinal influence of perceived discrimination on pro social behavior of left alone junior middle school students and to explore the longitudinal mediating role of teacher-student relationship and classmate relationship, so as to provide a reference for improving pro social behavior of left behind junior middle school students. Methods: The Perceived Discrimination Questionnaire, Teacher-Student Relationship Questionnaire, Classmate Relationship Questionnaire and Prosocial Behavior Questionnaire were used to conduct two follow up surveys on 930 left behind junior middle school students in Guizhou Province at two time points, in mid November 2021(T1) and mid May 2022(T2). Deviation corrected Bootstrap method was used to examine the mediating effect of T2 teacher-student relationship and T2 classmate relationship on the impact of T1 discrimination perception on T2 pro social behavior. Results: The perceptions of discrimination, teacher-student relationship, classmate relationship, and pro social behavior scores of the left behind junior high school students were (1.98±0.94) (4.13± 0.77 ) (3.54±0.91) (3.52±0.75) for T1, and (3.98±0.83)(3.42±0.86)(3.48±0.72) for teacher-student relationship, classmate relationships and pro social behavior scrores of T2. After controlling for gender, age and self assessment of family economic status, T1 perceived discrimination negatively predicted T2 pro social behavior ( β =-0.07); and T1 perceived discrimination indirectly influenced T2 pro social behavior through T2 teacher-student relationship, and mediated effect value was -0.02(95% CI = -0.02 to -0.01); and T1 perceived discrimination indirectly influenced T2 pro social behavior through T2 classmate relationship, mediated effect was -0.03(95% CI =-0.05 to -0.02)( P <0.05). Conclusions Perceived discrimination not only directly reduces pro social behavior of left behind junior middle school students, but also indirectly and negatively affects pro social behavior of left alone junior middle school students by reducing teacher-student relationship and classmate relationship.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of 3 different primitives or the same primitives with different characters of Tibetan medicine Zuomoxing[Caragana changduenais Liou f. with red heartwood, Caragana jubata(Pall.) Poir. with brown and white heartwood] on rats with pattern of toxic heat-induced blood stasis. METHODS　Ninety SD rats were randomly divided into the blank group, model group, aspirin-positive group, Changdu low-dose group(CDD), Changdu high-dose group(CDG), whitewood of Guijian low-dose group(GJBD), whitewood of Guijian high-dose group(GJBG), brown wood of Guijian low-dose group(GJZD), Brown wood of Guijian high-dose group(GJZG). Models with heat toxicity and blood stasis pattern were established by intraabdominal injection of carrageenan combined with tail vein injection of lipopolysaccharide. The effects of each group on blood rheology, coagulation four indices and blood routine were determined, and the content of arachidonic acid(AA), IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and thromboxane B2(TXB2) were measured with ELISA. RESULTS ①Blood rheology: Compared with model group, CDD and CDG significantly decreased whole blood viscosity(WBV), reduction viscosity of whole blood(WBRV), erythrocyte rigidity index(HGX), erythrocyte deformability index(EDI), whole blood relative index(WBRI) (P<0.01), and increased plasma viscosity(P<0.01). GJZG and GJZD significantly decreased HGX(P<0.01 or P<0.05), and increased plasma viscosity(P<0.01). GJBG and GJBG significantly decreased WBHSV, WBHSRV, HGX, EDI, and whole blood high shear relative index(WBHSRI)(P<0.01). ②Coagulation four indices: Compared with model group, CDD significantly reduced the thrombin time(TT)(P<0.01). GJZG significantly reduced activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) and TT(P<0.01 or P<0.05). GJBD significantly reduced prothrombin time(PT) and APTT (P<0.01 or P<0.05). ③Blood routine: Compared with model group, GJZD and GJBD significantly decreased the percentage of monocytes(P<0.01 or P<0.05). The number of large platelets in CDD significantly increased(P<0.05). CDG significantly increased the platelet number, platelet hematocrit, and large platelet number(P<0.01 or P<0.05), and tended which to be normal. ④Inflammatory factors: Compared with model group, the levels of TNF-α, IL-6, TXB2 were significantly increased in CDD and CDG(P<0.01 or P<0.05). The levels of IL-6 and TXB2 were significantly increased in GJZD and GJZG(P<0.01). GJBD was significantly increased TXB2(P<0.01), and GJBG was significantly increased IL-1β, IL-6, and TXB2(P<0.01), while decreased AA(P<0.05). CONCLUSION Zuomoxing with separate sources have different degrees of effects on rats with pattern of toxic heat-induced blood stasis, and have different degrees of effects on hemorheology, coagulation factors, blood routine and inflammatory mediators, and the degree and trend of effects are different with different doses. The effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis was generally manifested as Changdu > whitewood of Guijian > Brown wood of Guijian. The effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis may be the result of multiple pathways and mechanisms.

As a common clinical Chinese medicine, Prunellae Spica has the effects of clearing liver-fire, improving eyesight, resolving massesand detumescence, and has strong anti-tumor effects against thyroid cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer and other cancers. Extracts of Prunellae Spica and its active components can play an anti-tumor role in a variety of ways, including cell apoptosis, inhibiting cell invasion and metastasis, inhibiting cell proliferation, inducing autophagy, anti tumor angiogenesis, reversing tumor multidrug resistance and regulating immune function, by regulating miRNA and Wnt/β-catenin, PI3/AKT, AMPK/mTOR/ULK1, RANKL/RANK/OPG and other signal pathways . In this paper, the anti-tumor mechanism of Prunellae Spica extract was reviewed, in order to provide reference for further research and application.

ObjectiveTo study the correlation between the content of active ingredients of Aurantii Fructus in different main production areas and soil factors， so as to provide a theoretical basis for implementing ecological regulation of soil， improving the quality of Aurantii Fructus， and revealing the origin of genuine medicinal materials. MethodThe content of naringin， neohesperidin， total flavonoids， volatile oil， total nitrogen， total phosphorus， total potassium， and 17 soil factor-related indicators in 25 batches of Aurantii Fructus from different production areas were determined. The main soil factors affecting the content of active ingredients of Aurantii Fructus were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis， principal component analysis， and grey correlation analysis. ResultThe pH value of the soil is between 4.83 and 8.21， and the soil is weakly acidic and neutral in general. Soil fertility exceeds the average. Pearson correlation analysis shows that the soil factors most related to the four active ingredients of Aurantii Fructus are total phosphorus， available copper， available zinc， exchangeable magnesium， available sulfur， available phosphorus， and available molybdenum. Principal component analysis shows that total nitrogen， alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen， organic matter， available phosphorus， and available zinc are the main characteristic factors in soil. Grey correlation analysis shows that the main soil factors affecting the active ingredients of Aurantii Fructus are total phosphorus， total nitrogen， available zinc， available copper， exchangeable magnesium， and pH. ConclusionIn the cultivation of Aurantii Fructus， the medicinal material quality of Aurantii Fructus could be improved by adjusting the level of beneficial factors in the soil and improving the soil texture.

Objective:To explore the multimorbidity patterns in older inpatients adults, and their differences between Northern and Southern China.Methods:A total of 4 348 elderly patients aged 60 and above from the geriatrics departments of 12 grade A tertiary hospitals in 7 cities in China were investigated.Factor analysis was used to explore the comorbidity patterns and analyze the differences in comorbidity patterns between Southern and Northern China.Results:The study population consisted of 4 348 patients over the age of 60, with an average age of(74.15±8.01)years.The total sample had a Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin(KMO)sampling adequacy index of 0.657 and a cumulative variance percentage of 43.97%.Factor analysis revealed there were five major multimorbidity patterns in the patients.These were: the metabolic pattern; the liver-kidney pattern; the degenerative pattern; the neuropsychiatric pattern; dementia.Further factor analysis for the South and the North was conducted.Older inpatients in Southern regions had a KMO sampling adequacy index of 0.654 and a cumulative variance percentage of 43.50%.In Southern China, the multimorbidity patterns were similar to the overall patterns.In Northern regions, older inpatients had a KMO sampling adequacy index of 0.648 and a cumulative variance percentage of 45.16%.The liver-kidney pattern, metabolic disease pattern, lung-dementia pattern, degenerative disease pattern, and neuropsychiatric pattern were the main multimorbidity patterns in Northern China.Conclusions:Multimorbidity patterns were different between Northern and Southern China and should be differentiated in their management.In the North, older adults should pay more attention to the prevention and management of respiratory system diseases and dementia, while in the South, older adults should pay more attention to the prevention and management of degenerative disease.Early disease prevention based on multimorbidity patterns is one of the approaches to the reduction of chronic diseases in older adults.

Background The optimal model method for estimation of benchmark dose (BMD) does not consider the uncertainty of model selection. There is a lack of studies on using Bayesian model averaging (BMA) to estimate BMD. Objective To apply BMA to the exposure assessment of cadmium pollution in China, discuss the role of BMA in estimating BMD based on dose-response models, and to provide methodological support for health risk assessment of hazardous substances. Methods The parameters of five dose-response models (Gamma, Log-logistic, Log-probit, Two-stage, and Weibull models) estimated from the data from a cadmium-contaminated area in Baiyin City of Gansu Province and the urinary cadmium ranges in five cadmium-contaminated areas in China were used to simulate the data of varied correct models with different numbers of dosage groups (5 and 8) and different sample sizes (50, 100, and 200), then the performance of BMA and traditional optimal model were compared. The case analysis used the cadmium exposure data in Baiyin, Gansu Province. All analyses set urinary cadmium as the indicator of cadmium exposure, the abnormal rate of β₂-microglobulin as the effect indicator, and the benchmark response to 10%. The correct model (the model used when simulating data), optimal model [the model with smallest Akaike information criterion (AIC)], and BMA were used to estimate BMD and lower confidence limit of benchmark dose (BMDL); the BMDs, BMDLs, and relative deviations from different methods were compared. Results In the simulation study, with increasing sample size or the number of dosage groups, the intervals of the 5th percentile and the 90th percentile of BMD tended to be narrower; when the correct model was a single model, the relative deviation of BMD estimation by BMA was greater than that of the traditional optimal model; when the correct model was an equal weight mixed model, the relative deviation of BMD estimation by BMA was less than that by the traditional optimal model. For the data of cadmium-contaminated areas, the optimal model was a Log-probit model (AIC=1814.46), followed by a Log-logistic model (AIC=1814.57); the BMDs (BMDLs) estimated by the Log-probit model, the Log-logistic model, and BMA were 3.46 (2.68), 3.16 (2.33), and 2.92 (2.07) μg·g⁻¹, respectively. Conclusion The traditional optimal model is still recommended when the correct model is known. However, when the dose-response relationship of a hazardous substance is uncertain or with different sources or exposure grouping, compared with the traditional optimal model, BMA theoretically provides more stable estimation of BMD and BMDL by considering multiple possible alternative models.

Objective: To compare the in vitro biocompatibility of bone marrow mesenchymal cells on polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and titanium (Ti) surfaces. Methods : PEEK and Ti foils with thicknesses of 1 mm and diameters of 10 mm were prepared. First, bone marrow mesenchymal cells were separated and purified by the whole bone marrow adherent culture method in vitro. Then, osteogenesis-induced bone marrow mesenchymal cells were cultivated on the surfaces of the PEEK and Ti foils. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the Alamar Blue test, an alkaline phosphatase (ALP) kit and Alizarin Red staining were used to analyze calcium nodules and compare the adhesion, proliferation and osteogenic differentiation ability of bone marrow mesenchymal cells on the surfaces of the PEEK and Ti foils. Results : ① The morphology of the bone marrow mesenchymal cells cultured on the PEEK and Ti foils at 1 h, 4 h and 24 h showed no significant differences. ② In the 1 h, 3 h, 1 d and 3 d cultures of the bone marrow mesenchymal cells inoculated on the surfaces of the foils, the number of living cells in the PEEK group was greater than that in the Ti group (P < 0.05). ③ In the 7 d and 14 d osteogenesis-induced cultures of the inoculated bone marrow mesenchymal cells, the ALP activity of the PEEK group cells was significantly greater than that of the Ti group cells (P < 0.05). ④ Semiquantitative analysis after Alizarin Red staining showed that the mineralization degree of the bone marrow mesenchymal cells induced by osteoblasts was greater in the PEEK group than in the Ti group (P < 0.05). Conclusion PEEK has better in vitro biocompatibility than Ti and can better promote cell adhesion, proliferation and osteogenic differentiation compared with Ti, and so it is expected to become a new dental implant material.
