Objective:To evaluate the effects of different imaging frequencies and matching strategies of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) on dose-volume parameters in target and organs at risk (OAR) during image-guided radiotherapy for prostate cancer.Methods:A total of 561 sets of CBCT images from 21 patients treated with radical prostate radiotherapy who were admitted to Peking University First Hospital from June 2022 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients received volumetric intensity modulated arc therapy (VMAT) at a prescribed dose of 70 Gy divided into 25 times, 2.8 Gy per time. Clinical target volume (CTV) and OAR were delineated by the same oncologist on each CBCT image. The planned CT (pCT) was rigorously registered to CBCT after calibration of positioning errors according to different image guidance modes and frequencies, and CT values and structures were propagated to CBCT through deformable image registration (DIR). The daily dose was mapped to pCT according to the deformation vector field (DVF) for dose accumulation. The actual cumulative dose of daily online CBCT validation was compared with the weekly CBCT validation regimen (days 1, 2, 3, 6, 11, 16 and 21 online imaging). The dosimetric comparison was also made between bone-based matching and soft tissue-based matching (after automatic bone-based matching, manual prostate-based matching was performed and fine-tuning was made regarding the anterior wall of rectum). Wilcoxon signed rank-sum test was utilized to analyze dose-volume parameters between planned and cumulative doses that exhibited non-normal distribution, while paired t-test was employed for assessing shift values and average dose parameters that demonstrated normal distribution. Results:Compared with daily CBCT image guidance, the CTV_D 98% in weekly CBCT was significantly reduced [(69.08±1.58) vs. (65.24±3.64) Gy, P<0.001]. The CTV_D 98% of bone-based matching was (69.27±2.14) Gy, but the high-dose volume of the rectum were significantly increased: V 60 Gy was 3.18%±3.10%, V 65 Gy was 0.77%±1.23%. The target area coverage using soft tissue-based matching is sufficient, with a CTV_D 98% of (69.08±1.58) Gy. And the percentage volume of high-dose volume of the rectum was significantly reduced, with V 60 Gy being 2.02%±2.42% and V 65 Gy being 0.34%±0.68%. Conclusions:In prostate cancer patients undergoing moderately-fractionated radiotherapy, daily CBCT image guidance demonstrates superior target coverage compared to a weekly scheme. Soft tissue-based matching, which is automatic bone-based matching followed by manual soft tissue-based matching and fine-tuning according to the anterior rectal wall, offers better rectal protection while maintaining target coverage.

Background and Aims:Accurate early pathogen diagnosis is a breakthrough for improving the prognosis of infectious pancreatic necrosis(IPN)patients.However,there is currently a lack of efficient methods for early identification of IPN in clinical settings.This study was performed to assess the application value of next-generation sequencing technology based on metagenomic capture(MetaCAP)in the pathogen diagnosis of IPN. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 29 patients suspected of having acute necrotizing pancreatitis at Xiangya Hospital of Central South University between January and July 2024.Blood samples were tested using MetaCAP and conventional pathogen culture.The results of peritoneal fluid pathogen culture were used as the gold standard to compare the diagnostic efficacy of the two methods. Results:Due to three cases lacking peritoneal fluid culture results,a total of 26 cases were included in the final analysis.The overall mortality rate was 23.1％(6/26).During hospitalization,9 cases(34.6％)were diagnosed with IPN.The sensitivity and negative predictive value of MetaCAP for diagnosing IPN were significantly higher than those of conventional pathogen culture(77.8％vs.11.1％,P=0.031;86.7％vs.65.2％,P=0.032),while the differences in specificity(76.5％vs.88.2％,P=0.689)and positive predictive value(63.6％vs.33.3％,P=0.347)between the two methods were not statistically significant.The average detection time for MetaCAP was 33(20-49)h,while microbial culture took 125(45-142)h,with a significant difference(P＜0.001).The average cost for blood MetaCAP testing was 2 500 yuan per case,but it accounted for only 1.19％of the average hospitalization cost. Conclusion:MetaCAP has significant value in the early pathogen diagnosis of IPN,with a shorter detection time,good testing efficacy,and health-economic value,demonstrating a promising clinical application prospect.

Objective:To investigate the advantage of three dimensional(3D)-printed tissue compensators in radiotherapy for superficial tumors at irregular sites.Methods:A subcutaneous xenograft model of prostate cancer in nude mice was established. Mice were randomly divided into no tissue compensator group( n=6), common tissue compensator group( n=6), and 3D-printed tissue compensator group( n=6). Computed tomography (CT) images of nude mice in the 3D-printed tissue compensator group were acquired. Compensator models were made using polylactic acid, and material properties were evaluated by measuring electron density. CT positioning images of the three groups after covering the corresponding tissue compensators were acquired to delineate the gross tumor volume (GTV). Nude mice in the three groups were irradiated with 6 MV X-rays at the prescribed dose. The prescribed dose for the three groups was 1 500 cGy. The dose distribution in the GTV of the three groups was calculated and compared using the analytical anisotropic algorithm in the Eclipse 13.5 treatment planning system. The metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor was used to verify the actual dose received on the skin surface of nude mice. Results:The air gap in the 3D-printed tissue compensator group and the common tissue compensator group was 0.20±0.07 and 0.37±0.07 cm 3, respectively ( t=4.02, P<0.01). For the no tissue compensator group, common tissue compensator group, and 3D-printed tissue compensator group, the D95% in the target volume was (1 188.58±92.21), (1 369.90±146.23), and (1 440.29±45.78) cGy, respectively ( F=9.49, P<0.01). D98% was (1 080.13±88.30), (1 302.76±158.43), and (1 360.23±48.71) cGy, respectively ( F=11.17, P<0.01). Dmean was (1 549.08±44.22), (1 593.05±65.40), and (1 638.87±40.83) cGy, respectively ( F=4.59, P<0.05). The measured superficial dose was (626.03±26.75), (1 259.83±71.94), and (1 435.30±67.22) cGy, respectively ( F=263.20, P<0.001). The percentage variation in tumor volume growth after radiation was not significantly different between the common tissue compensator group and the 3D-printed tissue compensator group ( P>0.05). Conclusions:3D-printed tissue compensators fit well to the body surface, which reduces air gaps, effectively increases the dose on the body surface near the target volume, and provides ideas for radiotherapy for superficial tumors at some irregular sites.

Objective:Partial stereotactic ablative boost radiotherapy(P-SABR)is a method to deliver SABR boost to the gross tumor boost volume(GTVb), followed by conventionally fractionated radiotherapy to the whole tumor area(GTV). GTVb is the max volume receiving SABR while ensuring the critical organ-at-risk(OAR)falloff to 3 GyE/f. We investigated the potential advantage of proton therapy in treating bulky non-small cell lung cancer(the tumor length greater than 8 cm).Methods:Nine patients with bulky NSCLC treated with photon P-SABR in our institute were selected. For the treatment planning of proton therapy, the GTVb target area was gradually outwardly expanded based on the photon GTVb target area until the dose to critical OARs reached 3 GyE/f. The GTV and CTV areas remained the same as photon plan. A proton intensity-modulated radiation treatment plan(proton-IMPT), a photon intensity-modulated radiation treatment plan(photon-IMRT)and a photon volumetric modulated arc therapy(photon-VMAT)were created for each patient, respectively. The dosimetric parameters of different treatment plans were compared.Results:The volume ratio of GTVb-photon and GTVb-proton to GTV was(25.4±13.4)% and(69.7±30.0)%,respectively( P<0.001). In photon-IMRT, photon-VMAT, and proton-IMPT plan groups, the mean dose of CTV was(76.1±4.9)Gy, (78.2±3.6)Gy, and(84.7±4.9)Gy, respectively; the ratio of tumor volume with Biologic Effective Dose(BED)≥ 90 Gy to GTV volume was(70.7±21.7)%, (76.8±22.1)%,and(97.9±4.0)%,respectively. The actual dose and BED to the tumor area of the proton-IMPT plan group were significantly higher than those of the photon plan group(both P<0.05). Besides, the OARs dose was significantly decreased in the proton-IMPT group, with(49.2±22.0)%, (56.8±19.0)% and(16.1±6.3)% of the whole lung V5 for photon-IMRT, photon-VMAT and proton-IMPT, respectively(all P<0.001). Conclusions:Larger GTV boost target volume, higher BED and reduced OARs dose can be achieved in proton plans compared with photon plans. Proton P-SABR is expected to further improve the local control rate of bulky NSCLC with fewer adverse effects.

Objective:To assess the transient elastography (TE) in assessing hepatic fibrosis in pediatric chronic liver disease.Methods:Children with chronic liver disease who were both examined with TE and percutaneous transhepatic puncture for grading Scheuer scores in the Children′s Hospital of Fudan University from January 2017 to September 2017 were recruited.Ordinal Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the interfering factors for hepatic fibrosis.Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to acquire the optimal cut-off value and to calculate the area under the curve (AUC). Results:Thirty-eight children were enrolled finally, including 28 boys and 10 girls with the mean age of 7.4 years old (1.1-16.0 years). The success rate of detecting hepatic fibrosis was 85%.Ordinal Logistic regression analysis discovered that only the value of liver stiffness measured by TE was correlated with the grade of hepatic fibrosis ( β=0.055, P<0.001). Objective:To investigate the influencing factors for lung metastasis of hepato-cellular carcinoma after liver transplantation and application value of its nomogram prediction model.Methods:The retrospective cohort study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 339 hepatocellular carcinoma patients with lung metastasis after liver transplantation who were admitted to Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University from January 2015 to June 2019 were collected. There were 299 males and 40 females, aged from 23 to 73 years, with a median age of 54 years. According to the random numbers showed in the computer, all 339 patients were divided into training dataset consisting of 226 and validation dataset consisting of 113, with a ratio of 2:1. All patients underwent classic orthotopic liver transplantation. Observation indicators: (1) analysis of clinicopathological data of patients in the training dataset and validation dataset; (2) follow-up; (3) analysis of influencing factors for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplanta-tion; (4) construction and evaluation of nomogram prediction model for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation. Follow-up was conducted using outpatient examination and telephone interview to detect lung metastasis of patients up to November 2020. Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as Mean± SD, and comparison between groups was conducted using the paired t test. Measurement data with skewed distribution were represented as M( P25, P75) or M(range), and comparison between groups was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test. Count data were described as absolute number or percentages, and comparison between groups was conducted using the chi-square test. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate lung metastasis rate and draw lung metastasis curve. The Log-rank test was used for survival analysis. The COX proportional hazard model was used for univariate and multivariate analysis. Based on the results of multivariate analysis, the nomogram prediction model was constructed. The prediction accuracy of the nomogram model was evaluated using C-index and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. The calibration curve was used to evaluate the prediction error of the model. Results:(1) Analysis of clinicopathological data of patients in the training dataset and validation dataset: there was no significant difference in general data between patients in the training dataset and validation dataset ( P>0.05). (2) Follow-up: 226 patients in training dataset and 113 patients in validation dataset were followed up. The follow-up time of training dataset was 5.2 to 69.0 months, with a median follow-up time of 29.3 months, and the follow-up time of validation dataset was 4.3 to 69.0 months, with a median follow-up time of 30.4 months. Up to the last follow-up, 48 cases of the training dataset and 22 cases of the validation dataset had lung metastasis, with the incidence and median time of lung metastasis were 21.24%(48/226), 19.47%(22/113) and 8.5 months, 7.8 months, respectively. There was no significant difference in lung metastasis between patients in the training dataset and validation dataset ( χ2=0.144, P>0.05). (3) Analysis of influencing factors for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation: results of univariate analysis showed that age, alpha fetoprotein, tumor diameter, tumor differentiation degree, vascular invasion, systemic immune inflammation index and postoperative treatment were related factors for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation ( hazard ratio=0.465, 3.413, 1.140, 3.791, 2.524, 2.053, 1.833, 95% confidence interval as 0.263?0.822, 1.740?6.695, 1.091?1.191, 1.763?8.154, 1.903?3.349, 1.047?4.027, 1.038?3.238, P<0.05) . Results of multivariate analysis showed that age, tumor diameter and vascular invasion were independent influencing factors for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation ( hazard ratio=0.462, 1.076, 2.170, 95% confidence interval as 0.253?0.843, 1.013?1.143, 1.545?3.048, P<0.05). (4) Construction and evaluation of nomogram prediction model for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation: the C-index was 0.810 (95% confidence interval as 0.758?0.863) and 0.802 (95% confidence interval as 0.723?0.881) of the nomogram prediction model for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplanta-tion in the training dataset and validation dataset, respectively, showing good discrimination ability. The area under ROC of 0.5-, 1- and 2-year nomogram prediction model in the training dataset and the validation dataset were 0.815(95% confidence interval as 0.725?0.905), 0.863(95% confidence interval as 0.809?0.917), 0.835(95% confidence interval as 0.771?0.900)and 0.873(95% confidence interval as 0.801?0.945), 0.858(95% confidence interval as 0.760?0.956), 0.841(95% confidence interval as 0.737?0.945), respectively, which illustrated that the model had good predictive ability. The formula of nomogram prediction model=33.300 06+(?33.300 06)×age(≤50 years=0, >50 years=1)+2.857 14×tumor diameter (cm)+31.585 71×vascular invasion (M0 stage of microvascular invasion staging=0, M1 stage of microvascular invasion staging=1, M2 stage of microvascular invasion staging=2, visible tumor thrombus=3). The optimal threshold of nomogram risk score was 77.5. Patients with risk score ≥77.5 were assigned into high risk group, and patients with risk score <77.5 were assigned into low risk group. The 0.5-,1- and 2-year lung metastasis rate of patients in the high risk group and low risk group of the training dataset were 16.7%, 39.2%, 46.4% and 1.4%, 4.1%, 6.9%, respectively, showing a significant difference between the two groups ( χ2=54.86, P<0.05). The 0.5-,1- and 2-year lung metastasis rate of patients in the high risk group and low risk group of the validation dataset were 17.6%, 29.0%, 39.5% and 0, 3.1%, 4.8%, respectively, showing a significant difference between the two groups ( χ2=25.29, P<0.05). Conclusions:Age, tumor diameter and vascular invasion are independent influencing factors for lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation. The nomogram prediction model based on age, tumor diameter and vascular invasion can predict risk of lung metastasis for hepatocellular carcinoma patients after liver transplantation accurately.

Hepatolithiasis is a common and persistent disease in hepatobiliary surgery, which is one of the most important leading causes of death in patients with benign biliary tract diseases. Traditional of diagnosis and treatment options of hepatolithiasis have limitations, recently the rising of three-dimensional visualization technology provides doctors with fresh thinking and approaches. Three-dimensional visualization technology can accurately evaluate the anatomical structure and pathological condition of the liver, at the same time it plays an important role in guiding hepatectomy, choledochoscopic lithotripsy and biliary drainage. Three-dimensional printing and intraoperative navigation, which based on three-dimensional visualization technology, also has good application prospects. This paper summarized the application of three-dimensional visualization technology for the diagnosis and treatment of hepatolithiasis in order to help the future research.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of pharyngeal spraying recombinant human interfe-ron alpha 2b (rhIFNα2b) in the treatment of herpangina in children.Method:s A prospective, multicenter, rando-mized, opened and controlled study was carried out in 11 hospitals in Anhui province from August 2018 to March 2019.According to the time of admission, 180 patients diagnosed as herpangina were prospectively and randomly divided into rhIFNα2b treatment group and Ribavirin control group.On the basis of giving both groups the heat-clearing, detoxifying and anti-infection treatment, the patients in treatment group received pharyngeal spraying rhIFNα2b 9 g/L saline solution[1 million IU/mL, 0.1 million IU/(0.1 mL·press)], and the patients in control group were treated by pharyngeal spraying Ribavirin (0.5 mg RBV/press, 150 press), 3 presses per time, 4 times per day, continuous administration for 5 days for both groups.Those who recovered in advance were no longer given medication.All patients were observed to fully recover.The clinical efficacy and the disappearing time of symptoms and signs between two groups were compared, and the safety of pharyngeal spraying rhIFNα2b for patients was evaluated.Result:s All of the 180 patients completed the study, including 90 cases in the treatment group and 90 cases in the control group.There was no statistically significant difference in terms of gender, age, weight and course of illness before treatment between the two groups (all P>0.05), which had clinical comparability.The apparent efficiency of the treatment group [63.3% (57/90 cases)] was significantly higher than that in the control group [38.9% (35/90 cases)] and the difference was statistically significant( χ2=10.934, P=0.004); no significant difference in the total efficiency between the treatment group [96.7% (87/90 cases)]and the control group [92.2% (83/90 cases)]was observed ( χ2=2.924, P=0.169). The duration of fever[(32.59±20.73) h vs.(45.72±26.96) h], hyperemia[(76.48±23.12) h vs.(92.44±24.31) h], herpes[(72.99±25.77) h vs.(85.09± 26.62) h], salivation[(45.44±24.96) h vs.(54.42±31.20) h] and anorexia[(62.70±23.99) h vs.(78.71±30.54) h] in the treatment group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05). Before treatment, the serum levels of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α) [(13.02±4.41) ng/L vs.(13.57±9.27) ng/L], interleukin-6(IL-6) [(26.48±11.31) ng/L vs.(30.15±15.55) ng/L] and C-reactive protein(CRP)[(19.34±14.11) mg/L vs.(19.83±14.57) mg/L]were not significantly different between the two groups (all P>0.05). After treatment, the serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 were(7.26±1.99) ng/L and (2.42±0.73) ng/L in the treatment group, which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(12.09±6.39) ng/L and (7.32±11.51) ng/L](all P<0.05), but no significant difference in serum levels of CRP between the two groups was observed ( P>0.05). The comparison on positive rate of virus in pharyngeal swab between the treatment group [65.3% (32/49 cases) and 40.6% (13/32 cases) respectively] and the control group[66.7%(36/54 cases) and 41.0% (16/39 cases), respectively]before and after therapy showed no significant difference (all P>0.05). During the treatment, no serious adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.The incidence of adverse reactions was 1.1% (1/90 cases) in the treatment group and 5.6% (5/90 cases) in the control group.In addition, the serum hemoglobin level of children in the control group after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment and that in the treatment group (all P<0.05). Conclusions:Compared with pharyngeal spraying ribavirin, pharyngeal spraying rhIFNα2b can greatly improve the clinical efficiency, accelerate the disappearance of clinical symptoms and signs, and shorten the total course of disease, and is more safe and worthy of clinical application.

Objective: To observe the changes in nutrition indicators and the effect on chemotherapy complications as well as the safety of enteral nutrition by way of providing enteral nutrition support for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) at the stage of induction chemotherapy. Methods: From November 2016 to September 2017, 60 children with newly diagnosed ALL at the Hematology Oncology Center of Beijing Children′s Hospital were enrolled in this study.They were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, 30 cases for each group.The experimental group was given a high-calorie diet, high-quality protein, and high-medium-chain trigly-ceride enteral nutrition on the basis of a conventional low-fat diet, and the duration lasted the whole induction treatment of ALL children; while the control group was given a low-fat diet routinely.By analyzing relevant indicators before induction chemotherapy (D0), chemotherapy day 15 (D15), and after chemotherapy (D33), the changes in nutritional status and the effect on chemotherapy complications in 2 groups were investigated. Results: There was no significant difference in the body mass index (BMI) and the thickness of triceps skinfold between 2 groups before and after chemotherapy (all P>0.05). The upper arm circumference increased after chemotherapy in the experimental group[before treatment: (15.80±2.63) cm, after treatment: (16.27±2.57) cm], while that of the control group decreased slightly[before chemotherapy: (17.19±3.71) cm, after chemotherapy: (17.15±3.64) cm], and the difference between 2 groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). After chemotherapy, the total protein levels in two groups decreased[the experimental group: (64.52±4.85) g/L, the control group: (61.97±4.65) g/L] which was significantly different from that before chemotherapy [the experimental group: (68.17±6.37) g/L, the control group: (68.08±5.14) g/L] (P<0.01). The total protein level of the experimental group after chemotherapy was significant higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Both albumin levels in 2 groups increased after chemotherapy [(42.45±4.32) g/L in the experimental group and (41.15±3.73) g/L in the control group], and there was a significant difference between 2 groups before chemotherapy [(39.54±3.26) g/L in the experimental group and (40.01±4.37) g/L in the control group] (P<0.05). The level of prealbumin increased after chemotherapy in both groups [(324.57±64.328) mg/L in the experimental group and (293.07±69.09) mg/L in the control group] compared with that before chemotherapy [(121.10±35.13) mg/L in the experimental group and(131.20±52.77) mg/L in the control group]. The change was statistically significant (P<0.01). The albumin level in the experimental group before chemotherapy was lower than that in the control group after chemotherapy, but it was higher than that in the control group after chemotherapy.Protein differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The reduction rate of elemental iron in the experimental group after chemotherapy was lower than that in the control group, but it was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Elemental zinc was not significantly different compared with the control group.The incidence of neutropenia after chemotherapy in ALL children was higher (37/60 cases, 61.67%). The recovery of neutropenia after chemotherapy in the experimental group was better than that in the control group.After chemotherapy, the severity of anemia in the experimental group was lighter than that in the control group.The amount of blood transfusion required and amount of transfusion per capita were less than those in the control group (54 person-times vs.74 person-times, 2.45 times vs.3.08 times). The total number of transfused blood products was less than that of the control group (78 person-times vs.101 person-times), but none of the findings above were statistically significant (all P>0.05). The degree of hepatic damage in the experimental group decreased after chemotherapy, but there was no significant change in the control group.The initial activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) prolongation in the trial group was more than that in the control group (5 cases vs.3 cases), and less than the control group (0 case vs.1 case) after chemotherapy.The frequency of fever in the experimental group during chemotherapy was less than that in the control group (6 cases vs.8 cases), and the average time of fever was shorter than that in the control group (2.8 d vs.4.1 d). None of the above findings were statistically significant (all P>0.05). During the course of chemotherapy, 0 pancreatitis occurred in the experimental group, and 1 pancreatitis occurred in the control group.There was no difference in remission rates between 2 groups of chemotherapy for 15 days and chemotherapy for 33 days. Conclusions The nutritional status of children with ALL was reduced after initial induction chemotherapy.Enteral nutrition support was helpful to maintain the nutritional status for children at the initial stage of chemotherapy, high-calorie diet, high-quality protein, and high-medium-chain triglyceride enteral nutrition support improves blood system tolerance to chemotherapy and reduces chemotherapy complications.

Objective: To cross-cultural adapt the English version of obturator functioning scale (OFS) to form a simplified Chinese version, to preliminarily verify its reliability and validity in clinic, and to provide an effective tool for evaluating the oral function and quality of life of patients with palatal defect and restored with obturators in China. Methods: The English version of the OFS was taken for forward translation, synthesis, back-translation, and reviewed by expert committee to develop a pre-testing simplified Chinese version. This scale contained demographic data, basic information of diseases, eating problems dimensions (3 items), speech problems dimensions (5 items), and other problems dimensions (7 items). From December, 2016 to December, 2018, forty-two patients who were treated in the Department of Prosthodontics, Guanghua School of Stomatology, Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University with palatal defect and restored with obturators were evaluated with OFS. Among them, there were 26 males, and 21-84 years old, and 16 females, who were 24-80 years old.The reliability and validity of the data were examined and analyzed. Results: The results showed that Cronbach′s α coefficients of the overall scale and the three dimensions (eating problems, speech problems, and other problems) were 0.926, 0.938, 0.930, and 0.935, respectively. The internal consistency of the questionnaire was very good. The Spearman coefficients between each single dimension and the total score were 0.677, 0.792, and 0.860, respectively, suggesting that the scale convergence was good. The content validity index of 15 items was 0.905, indicating that the content validity was very good. Conclusions The Chinese version of the OFS is exhibiting high reliability and validity, providing an effective evaluation tool of oral function and quality of life for Chinese patients with obturator prostheses to restore palate defects.
