Intestinal permeability plays a pivotal role in the gut-liver axis and has emerged as a critical target for the prevention and treatment of liver diseases. Based on recent studies in China and globally， this article reviews the definitions and interrelationship of intestinal barrier function and intestinal permeability， the methods for assessing intestinal permeability， and the mechanism of action and clinical significance of intestinal permeability in the development and progression of various liver diseases. Studies have shown that increased intestinal permeability is a significant hallmark and an important driving factor for multiple liver diseases， and this state leads to the translocation of bacteria and harmful substances， trigger a systemic inflammatory response， and thus exacerbates liver injury， fibrosis， and metabolic dysregulation. Therefore， it is closely associated with the development and progression of metabolic associated fatty liver disease， alcoholic liver disease， autoimmune liver diseases， and their end-stage events， including liver cirrhosis， liver failure， and hepatocellular carcinoma. Future research should focus on the standardization of assessment methods， the exploration of underlying mechanisms， and the clinical translation of these findings.

Objective:To study the functional characteristics of protective,barrier,and controlled release of film forming pharmaceutical excipients in formulations,establish a method for measuring the properties of film forming pharmaceutical excipients,and evaluate their performance.Methods:By preparing free films of different film forming pharmaceutical excipients and referring to national standards and literature research systems,a testing sys-tem covering key indicators such as tensile strength and elongation,water vapor permeability,flexibility,and solu-bility was constructed.Results:Through comparative testing of multiple brands of excipients,all detection methods showed good discriminability and reproducibility,indicating the applicability and stability of the methods.Conclusion:Evaluating the properties of film forming pharmaceutical excipients through a successfully constructed method not only reveals the structure-activity relationship between material structure and functional characteristics,but also provides technical support for the construction of functional index databases for pharmaceutical excipients.This research result can be used to guide the development of new film forming pharmaceutical excipients and pro-vide experimental basis for industry standard setting,meeting the needs of drug research and quality supervision.

Objective:A gas chromatography analysis system for fatty acid compositions of hydrogenated palm glycerides was established to provide a reference for quality standards of hydrogenated palm glycerides.Methods:In this test,a DB-WAX(30 m ×0.53 mm,1.0 μm)strong polarity gas chromatographic column was employed with an injection volume of 1 μL and a split ratio of 120∶1.The initial column temperature was 70℃,sustained for 2 min,ramped up to 230 ℃ at a rate of 5 ℃ per minute,and maintained for 10 min,with the inlet temperature of 250 ℃ and the detector temperature of 250 ℃.Results:In this experiment,the gas chromatograph-ic method was established successfully to determine fatty acid compositions of hydrogenated palm glycerides.The validated results indicated that the method exhibited well-suited system applicability,specificity and precision,and the RSD(％)fulfilled the requirements.The limit of detection(LOD)and limit of quantification(LOQ)values of nine fatty acid methyl esters were defined,and fatty acid compositions of seven batches of samples were checked successfully.Conclusion:The GC methodology developed in this study is suitable for the analysis and determina-tion of fatty acid compositions in hydrogenated palm glycerides,which can serve as a reference for the quality control of this pharmaceutical excipient and the establishment of quality standards.

Background::Hypothermia therapy has been suggested to attenuate myocardial necrosis; however, the clinical implementation as a valid therapeutic strategy has failed, and new approaches are needed to translate into clinical applications. This study aimed to assess the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of a novel selective intracoronary hypothermia (SICH) device in mitigating myocardial reperfusion injury.Methods::This study comprised two phases. The first phase of the SICH was performed in a normal porcine model for 30 minutes ( n = 5) to evaluate its feasibility. The second phase was conducted in a porcine myocardial infarction (MI) model of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion which was performed by balloon occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery for 60 minutes and maintained for 42 days. Pigs in the hypothermia group ( n = 8) received hypothermia intervention onset reperfusion for 30 minutes and controls ( n = 8) received no intervention. All animals were followed for 42 days. Cardiac magnetic resonance analysis (five and 42 days post-MI) and a series of biomarkers/histological studies were performed. Results::The average time to lower temperatures to a steady state was 4.8 ± 0.8 s. SICH had no impact on blood pressure or heart rate and was safely performed without complications by using a 3.9 F catheter. Interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α, C-reactive protein (CRP), and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) were lower at 60 min post perfusion in pigs that underwent SICH as compared with the control group. On day 5 post MI/R, edema, intramyocardial hemorrhage, and microvascular obstruction were reduced in the hypothermia group. On day 42 post MI/R, the infarct size, IL-6, CRP, BNP, and matrix metalloproteinase-9 were reduced, and the ejection fraction was improved in pigs that underwent SICH.Conclusions::The SICH device safely and effectively reduced the infarct size and improved heart function in a pig model of MI/R. These beneficial effects indicate the clinical potential of SICH for treatment of myocardial reperfusion injury.

Objective To investigate the expression of OTU deubiquitinase 3(OTUD3)and interleukin en-hancer binding factor 2(ILF2)in esophageal squamous cell cancer and their correlation with clinicopathologi-cal characteristics and prognosis.Methods A total of 102 patients with esophageal squamous cell cancer who underwent radical resection in Huai'an Fifth People's Hospital between January 2019 and July 2020 were in-cluded in this study.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect OTUD3 and ILF2 expression.Spearman rank correlation analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between OTUD3 and ILF2.Kaplan-Meier surviv-al curves were used to analyze the impact of OTUD3 and ILF2 expression on patient survival prognosis.COX regression analysis was employed to identify prognostic factors.Results Compared with adjacent tissues,the positive rate of OTUD3 was lower and the positive rate of ILF2 was higher in esophageal squamous cell cancer tissues,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).A significant negative correlation was ob-served between the expression of OTUD3 and ILF2 in esophageal squamous cell cancer(r=-0.712,P＜0.001).Furthermore,patients with TNM stage Ⅲ,low differentiation,and lymph node metastasis exhibited a lower positive rate of OTUD3 and a higher positive rate of ILF2 compared to patients with TNM stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ,medium-high differentiation,and no lymph node metastasis(P＜0.05).The 3-year survival rate for the OTUD3-positive group was significantly higher than that of the OTUD3-negative group(Log-rank x2=5.869,P=0.015).The 3-year survival rate for the ILF2-positive group was significantly lower than that of the ILF2-negative group(Log-rank x2=16.257,P＜0.001).TNM staging,lymph node metastasis,degree of differentiation,OTUD3,and ILF2 were independent factors affecting the prognosis of esophageal squamous cell cancer patients.Conclusion Decreased expression of OTUD3 and increased expression of ILF2 in esopha-geal squamous cell cancer tissues are implicated in the malignant progression of esophageal squamous cell cancer and serve as independent factors affecting patient outcomes.

OBJECTIVE: Explore the affecting factors of mentally prisoner's competency to serve a sentence (CSS), establish the base of quantitative study of CSS. METHODS: Firstly, the researchers compile a questionnaire named legal-psycho ability of competency to serve a sentence questionnaire, then the researchers scaling the object with RTHD, and ask all object complete the questionnaire. there a hypothesis, that the object who are cured in cured ward is incompetent to serve a sentence (ISS), and the other who are stay in rehabilitated ward is competent to serve a sentence (CSS). RESULTS: There are 185 object admitted the study, the ISS group the CSS group have significance between psychiatric and legal aspects. CONCLUSION At the influence of psychiatric symptoms, the mentally prisoner's competency to serve a sentence had been impaired, and they should been transferred from prison to hospital.

Gateway between PACS and HIS/RIS is studied in this paper, which is starving for solution for the construction of hospital informatization. The methods for information interchange between PACS and HIS/RIS is presented and then the design and realization of the gateway above are put forward.
