Abstract: Objective To investigate the distribution, seasonal ebb and flow, and influence factor of tick populations in Huangpu District, Shanghai, clarify the popularity and dominant tick species in Huangpu District, Shanghai, and provide a foundational basis for comprehensive monitoring and control of ticks and tick-borne diseases. Methods From January to December 2023, the seasonal fluctuation of free ticks was investigated by flagging method twice a month in People's Park of Huangpu District. In May 2023, a free ticks cross-sectional survey was conducted in all park green spaces in Huangpu District, with simultaneous recording of environmental meteorological factors on site. Results From January to December 2023, a total of 25 tick surveys were conducted, with a total drag distance of 6 810 meters, capturing 1 019 ticks, all morphologically identified as Haemaphysalis flava. Seasonal ebb and flow analysis found a bimodal distribution of overall tick density, peaking on June 26 and September 21, 2023, with tick densities of 216.00 and 67.33 ticks/(flag·100 m), respectively. The total tick density at monitoring points in grassland was lower than that in withered leaves, with tick densities of 3.11 and 23.22 ticks/(flag·100 m), respectively. Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that total tick density was positively correlated with measured surface temperature (rs=0.88), daily low temperature (rs=0.80), monthly average low temperature (rs=0.79), daily high temperature (rs=0.77), monthly average high temperature (rs=0.81), measured surface relative humidity (rs=0.86), monthly rainfall day (rs=0.43), and monthly average sunshine time (rs=0.58), average wind speed (rs=0.53); the total tick density was negatively correlated with air pressure (rs=-0.65, P<0.05). The cross-sectional survey in Huangpu District found tick activity only in Nanjing East Road Street and Ruijin Second Road Street, with densities of 0.05 and 0.14 ticks/(flag·100 m), respectively. Conclusions The dominant tick in City Park, Huangpu District, Shanghai is Haemaphysalis flava. Tick density is highest in June, and the density of ticks in the withered leaves is higher than that in the grassland. Targeted tick control measures should be taken during the peak period of tick activity according to survey results.

CCK-8 kit was used to measure the level of cell proliferation, Transwell method was used to measure the abilities of cell invasion and migration, flow cytometry was used to measure the level of apoptosis, and qRT-PCR and Western blotting were used to measure hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and c-Met mRNA and protein levels. Results:The survival rates of the control group, 5-fluorouracil group, low-dose propofol group and high-dose propofol group were (83.32±3.02) %, (36.29±3.54) %, (62.01±4.69) % and (40.20±5.48) % ( F=8.65, P=0.006) ; the apoptosis rates were (2.36±0.41) %, (12.47±0.40) %, (6.28±0.39) % and (10.24±0.37) % ( F=26.73, P=0.001) . Further pairwise comparison showed that there were statistically significant differences (all P<0.05) . The numbers of penetrating membranes of the four groups were 617.45±29.86, 125.27±24.38, 407.02±32.27 and 230.74±31.59 ( F=18.33, P=0.002) ; the migration distances were (603.85±27.74) μm, (121.69±25.85) μm, (395.59±28.37) μm and (233.52±30.42) μm ( F=27.02, P=0.001) . Further pairwise comparison showed that there were statistically significant differences (all P<0.05) . HGF mRNA expression levels of the four groups were 6.26±0.39, 1.94±0.35, 4.15±0.37 and 2.90±0.33 ( F=25.31, P=0.001) ; c-Met mRNA expression levels were 5.85±0.30, 2.04±0.32, 3.89±0.31 and 2.94±0.32 ( F=12.12, P=0.003) ; HGF protein expression levels were 1.43±0.04, 0.34±0.08, 0.86±0.06 and 0.63±0.09 ( F=17.02, P=0.001) ; c-Met protein expression levels were 1.63±0.14, 0.39±0.15, 0.93±0.11 and 0.64±0.17 ( F=19.89, P=0.001) . Further pairwise comparison showed that there were statistically significant differences (all P<0.05) . Conclusion:Propofol has obvious inhibitory effects on the malignant biological behaviors of prostate cancer DU145 cells, and the inhibitory effect of high-dose propofol is more obvious. The mechanism may be related to the inhibition of HGF and c-Met mRNA and protein expressions of DU145 cells by propofol, which inhibits the activation of HGF/c-Met pathway.

OBJECTIVETo observe the multiple symptom distribution, severity and quality of life of female pelvic floor dysfunction(FPFD) patients with constipation as chief complaint.
METHODSOne hundred FPFD patients with constipation as chief complaint from Speciaty Outpatient Clinic, Pelvic Floor Center of Nanjing Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between September 2015 and February 2017 were retrospectively enrolled in this study. A comprehensive medical history questionnaire survey and systematical evaluation of severity and quality of life of these patients with constipation was conducted. Constipation scoring system scale (CSS) and patient-assessment of constipation quality of life questionnaire (PAC-QOL) were applied to evaluate the constipation. Other scales included: (1)pain visual analogue scale (VAS) and short form-36 questionnaire (SF-36): if combined with chronic functional anal rectal pain; (2) international consultation on incontinence questionnaire-short form (ICIQ-SF) and urinary incontinence quality of life questionnaires (I-QOL):if combined with urinary incontinence; (3) fecal incontinence severity score scale (Wexner-FIS) and fecal incontinence quality of life questionnaire (FI-QOL):if combined with fecal incontinence.
RESULTSThe mean age of 100 FPFD patients was (57.9±13.9) (24-89) years and the mean disease course was (7.0±8.2)(0.5-40.0) years. Seventy-five cases (75%) were complicated with anal pain, 70 with urinary incontinence, 37 with rectocele, 19 with nocturia, 11 with urinary frequency, 10 with defecation incontinence. Complication with only one symptom was observed in 20 cases (20%), and with two or more symptoms was observed in 80 cases (80%). Pelvic floor relaxation syndrome patients were dominant (58 cases, 58%). The severity of constipation (CSS) was 6-22 (13.89±3.79) points and the quality of life (PAC-QOL) was 45-133 (87.13±18.57) points in FPFD patients. VAS and SF-36 of patients combined with chronic functional anal rectal pain were 1-8 (3.0±1.9) points and 14.4-137.0(71.5±31.4) points respectively. ICIQ-SF and I-QOL of patients combined with urinary incontinence were 1-17 (6.1±3.6) points and 52-110 (90.0±15.8) points respectively. Wexner-FIS and FI-QOL of patients combined with fecal incontinence were 1-11 (4.4±3.0) points and 52-116 (83.4±23.3) points respectively.
CONCLUSIONSThe symptoms of FPFD patients with constipation as chief complaint are complex. They are mainly complicated with anal diseases, then urinary incontinence, and mostly with more than 2 symptoms. Their quality of life is poor.

Objective To investigate iodine nutrition status in healthy adults in Xinjiang Urumqi city and their relationship to ethnicity, gender and age. Method A cross-sectional survey was performed in 2 100 residents of Xinjiang Urumqi 2 communities in May 2013, of which 1 835 healthy adults aged 18-84 years, mean age 46.3 ± 14.2 years were enrolled. Urine iodine with arsenic-cerium catalytic spectrophotometry and salt iodine and water iodine of the residents were measured. Result The water iodine content was 3.14 μg/L, salt iodine was 27.75 mg/kg, 1 835 urine samples were collected, the urinary iodine median(MUI) was133.4 μg/L, iodine deficiency accounted for 32.37% (595 cases), iodine sufficient 42.94% (788 cases), iodine super-sufficient 14.44%(265 cases), iodine excess 10.19%(187 cases). The urine iodine level in Han ethnic group was higher than those in Uygur adults, no significant difference was observed between men and women (P>0.05). Urinary iodine levels among different age groups had no statistical difference, but in the older groups the level was lower than that in young or middle age adults. The urinary iodine level decreased gradually with the age increasing. Conclusion There was a sufficient pattern of iodine nutrition levels in healthy adults in Xinjiang Urumqi; there was a correlation between the level of iodine nutrition and the ethnicity but not with gender;iodine nutrition level in older age group was lower than those in younger age groups. Monitoring the urinary iodine continually and decreasing iodine intake may be necessary for part of iodine excess population.
