Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Weijing Decoction in the treatment of stable stage of bronchiectasis(phlegm heat accumulating in the lung pattern). Methods A series of N-of-1 trials using bronchiectasis patients in stable stage with phlegm heat accumulation in the lung pattern were performed.Participants meeting inclusion criteria underwent two distinct treatment protocols during a therapy period.Modified Weijing Decoction was used in the experimental period and ambroxol tablets were used in the control period, washout periods were set.The medication-use order in the control period and experimental period is random. The visual analog scale(VAS)was used to assess symptom changes before and after treatment.24-hour sputum volume and COPD self-assessment test(CAT)scores were recorded, while adverse reactions were monitored during the study period.Statistical analysis and drawing were performed on SPSS 25.0 and GraphPad Prism 8.Comparison of inter-group differences before grouping was assessed by independent samples t-test.Analysis of symptom score,24-hour sputum volume and CAT scores in the experimental and control periods,as well as comparison of differences between the above two groups before and after treatment were performed using paired t-test,which enabled comprehensive exploration of clinical and statistical distinctions. Results A total of 9 patients participated in 16 rounds of analysis.Statistically significant differences(P<0.05)before and after the treatment in the experimental period were noted in total Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)symptom scores, cough, sputum, sputum color, chest tightness and chest pain, bitter and dry mouth, fatigue and tiredness,24-hour sputum volume, and CAT score.Paired t-tests revealed significant variations(P<0.05)in the total TCM symptom scores, sputum color scores, scores of chest tightness and pain, and 24-hour sputum volume between experimental and control periods. No adverse events related to the test methods or drugs occurred during the observation period. Conclusion Modified Weijing Decoction could comprehensively improve clinical symptoms of bronchiectasis patients in stable stage. It exhibits superior efficacy compared to ambroxol, and maintains a favorable safety profile.

Objective:To explore a better virtual reality (VR) aviation rescue training mode and equipment platform by comparing the application of VR gloves and handle. Methods:A control study was used. Forty undergraduate students were enrolled by using cluster sampling method in this study. They were averagely divided into VR glove group and the VR handle group. Both groups were respectively trained with VR glove and VR handle based on an aviation rescue script of the craniocerebral trauma in traffic accident and the training effect was analyzed by comparing the assessments between VR training and reality simulation. The assessment were conducted both by VR and actual operation trainings and the content included operation, evaluation judgment, and total training time consumed. After the training was completed, the students of 2 groups were investigated by questionnaire. Results:In the VR assessment, the training time for the VR handle group [(26.94±2.00) min] was lower than that of the VR glove group [(31.23±2.23) min], and the difference was significant ( t=6.42, P<0.001). In the reality simulation assessment, the operation score of the VR glove group [(37.80±7.08) points] was higher than that of the VR handle group [(30.40±6.07) points], with a significant difference ( t=3.55, P<0.001). There was no significant difference between the scores of VR assessment and reality simulation assessment in the VR glove group. The reality simulation operation score of the VR handle group [(30.40±6.07) points] was lower than the VR operation score [(36.20±8.15) points], and the difference was significant ( t=2.55, P=0.015). The reality simulation operation time [(30.25±1.66) min] was higher than the VR operation time [(26.94±2.00) min], and the difference was significant ( t=5.59, P<0.001).The scores of assessing operation diversity and the integration with reality in VR glove group were higher than that in VR handle group ( Z=-4.00, -2.00, P<0.001,=0.045), but the scores of positioning accuracy and button functions were lower ( Z=-2.30, t=5.70, P=0.022,<0.001). Conclusions:VR technology has some advantages in helicopter aviation rescue training, has a broad prospect. As the VR human-machine data exchange equipment, both gloves and handles could bring good training effect even they have their own disadvantages. It is still necessary to improve VR software and equipment, and promote the quality of air rescue training in multiple aspects.

Objective: Purpose to investigate the different in vitro function of targetable non-viral vector containing poly-L-lysine or protamine. Methods: Using GV1 and GV2 targetable non-viral vectors, the influences of the poly-L-lysine and protamine on in vitro gene transfer efficiency and the course of gene expression were observed. Results: ?-galactosidase was expressed at intermediate level (50% ) in A375 cells using a complex containing either protamine or poly-L-lysine. Howerver, in case of ABAE cells, ?-galactosidase expression level was low (20% ) transferred with a comPlex containing protamine. On the contrary, ?- galactosidase expression was at high level (70% ) provided that protamine was replaced with poly-L-lysine. In addition, ?-galac- tosidase activity reached the peak at the 6th day after transfection with the complex containing protamine. The expression was not altered with subsequent subcultures, at least for 3 passages. Using poly-L-lysine, the expression peak in A375 reached the peak at the 7th day after transfection, but the level declined along with subsequent passages of cells. Conclusion: The apllication of protamine in VEGF receptor mediated gene delivery system was limited.
