Objective To investigate the factors affecting cerebral vasospasm in elderly patients af-ter interventional embolization of intracranial aneurysms,and to develop a nomogram prediction model.Methods A total of 307 elderly patients with intracranial aneurysms who underwent inter-ventional embolization in our hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were recruited,and according to the occurrence of postoperative cerebral vasospasm or not,they were divided into a cerebral vasospasm group(n=63)and a non-cerebral vasospasm group(n=244).The general clinical data were compared between two groups.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to identify the risk factors for postoperative cerebral vasospasm in elderly patients with in-tracranial aneurysms,and then a nomogram prediction model was constructed.Results There were significant differences between the two groups in terms of age,Hunt-Hess grade,Fisher grade,and time window for surgical treatment(P＜0.01).The cerebral vasospasm group had sig-nificantly higher WBC count and IL-1β and Caspase-3 levels than the non-cerebral vasospasm group(P＜0.01).Univariate logistics regression analysis showed that seven indicators,that is,aged≥65 years,Hunt-Hess grade Ⅲ-Ⅵ,Fisher grade Ⅲ-Ⅵ,later surgical start time and in-creased WBC count and IL-1β and Caspase-3 levels were risk factors for postoperative cerebral vasospasm(P＜0.05).Multivariate logistics regression analysis indicated that above seven indica-tors were still independent risk factors for postoperative cerebral vasospasm(OR=11.372,95％CI:4.032-32.073,P=0.000;OR=12.415,95％CI:4.979-30.959,P=0.000;OR=9.568,95％CI:3.945-23.206,P=0.000;OR=2.898,95％CI:1.217-6.901,P=0.016;OR=1.762,95％CI:1.125-2.761,P=0.013;OR=1.153,95％CI:1.035-1.283,P=0.009).ROC curve analysis re-vealed that the AUC value of the nomogram model in predicting postoperative cerebral vasospasm was 0.934,with a sensitivity of 85.40％and a specificity of 90.50％.Conclusion Aged≥65 years,Hunt-Hess grade Ⅲ-Ⅵ,Fisher grade Ⅲ-Ⅵ,later surgical start time and increased WBC count and IL-1β and Caspase-3 levels have adverse effects on postoperative cerebral vasospasm in in eld-erly patients after interventional embolization of intracranial aneurysms.The nomogram model based on these factors shows certain efficacy in evaluating the occurrence of cerebral vasospasm.

Objective To study the impact of a Western diet-type feed on biological indicators and histopathology in APOE-/-mice.Methods Forty-eight female and 48 male APOE--mice,and 48 female and 48 male C57BL/6J mice were divided into eight breeding groups:APOE-/-breeding feed group,APOE-/-Western dietary feed group,C57BL/6J breeding feed group,and C57BL/6J Western dietary feed group(24 male and 24 female mice per group).Mice were fed the respective diets from 3 weeks until the end of the experiment at 20 weeks.After the experiment,serum was collected for measurement of biochemical indicators.Aortas were removed for oil red O staining and gross examination and the aorta root was paraffin sectioned and stained with hematoxylin and eosin.Results A Western diet did not significantly increase body weight in APOE-/-mice,but did significantly improve the blood lipid index and total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein,and high-density lipoprotein levels,and promoted the formation of atherosclerotic plaques.Male mice were suitable for modeling gross aortic plaques while female mice were suitable for modeling aortic arch root plaques.Conclusions A Western diet can promote atherosclerosis in APOE-/-mice,increase the aortic plaque area ratio,shorten modeling time,and improve modeling uniformity.

Objective To explore the effect of mental nursing intervention on gastric cancer with liver metastasis patients treated with TACE sequential chemotherapy.Methods Sixty four gastric cancer patients with liver metastasis,no hopes of accepting operations,were included.All patients were divided into control group (32 cases) and observation group (32 cases).The former received routine nursing care and the later received extra mental nursing intervention.The anxiety,depression and quality of life in both groups were evaluated and compared.Results After extra mental nursing intervention,the SDS and SAS scores of the observation group [(41.6 ± 1.8) points and (41.6 ± 2.3) points] were significantly lower than those of the control group [(50.9 ± 1.9) points and (53.0 ± 3.5) points,P =0.040,P =0.036,respectively].The quality of life scores,including the physiological function,body pain,general self rating,vitality,social function,emotional function and mental health score were (45.26 ± 38.26)points vs (35.17 ± 33.65) points (P =0.044),(71.98 ± 17.36) points vs (63.01 ± 18.41) points (P =0.039),(55.59 ± 12.78) points vs (49.67 ± 12.43) points (P =0.048),(74.82 ± 14.23) points vs (55.61 ± 10.58) points (P =0.027),(75.47 ± 12.15) points vs (57.22 ± 14.78) points (P =0.031),(70.24 ± 22.00) points vs (45.92 ± 34.76) points (P =0.004),(78.31 ± 19.11) points vs (67.23 ± 11.96) points (P =0.037),respectively,the scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The extra mental nursing intervention on gastric cancer with liver metastasis patients,treated with TACE sequential chemotherapy,can not reduce the patients'negative mood,improve the patients'compliance with chemotherapy and the confidence to treatment,but improve the quality of patients'life effectively.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between the blood flow values generated from MR arterial spin labeling (ASL) perfusion imaging and pathologic indicators of angiogenesis including microvascular density (MVD) counts and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression levels of VX2 carcinoma in rabbit soft tissue. Methods VX2 tumor was inoculated in the muscular tissue of right posterior limbs of 18 healthy New Zealand white rabbits ,on which arterial spin labeling perfusion imaging was performed by using flow sensitive alternating inversion recovery pulse sequence 3 to 4 weeks later. Arterial spin labeling images were transferred to an independent computer for post-processing and blood flow (BF) maps were generated from them. BF values were measured in 2-4 regions of interest (ROIs) for each tumor. The rabbits were sacrificed after MR imaging. The gross specimens of tumors were obtained and tumor tissues were taken from the non-necrotic regions corresponding to ROIs on BF maps. Immunohistochemical staining of the specimens was performed by using CD31 monoclonal antibody to calculate MVD counts, using VEGF antibody to calculate VEGF expression levels. Correlation between BF values and MVD counts as well as between BF values and VEGF expression levels was evaluated using Spearman correlative analysis.Results On BF maps, viable tumor tissues showed high BF values compared with muscle, but there were areas without blood perfusion in some tumors. Under microscope, the microvessels positively stained by CD31 appeared as light brown areas, and the cells positively staied by VEGF showed reddish brown areas within their cytoplasm. Totally 39 pieces of VX2 tumor tissue were analyzeed There was a significant positive correlation between the BF values(M =6. 4 ml · 100 g-1 · min-1 ) and MVD counts(M =6. 8) (r = 0. 906,P ＜ 0. 01 ), and no significant correlation between BF values and VEGF expression levels ( M = 8％ ) ( r =0. 116, P=0.483). Conclusion BF value can be used in evaluating angiogenesis of soft tissue tumor through its reflection of MVD counts, and thus may be helpful in evaluating the prognosis of soft tissue tumor and making plan for their treatment.
