ObjectiveTo introduce visual teaching into the course design of medical humanistic care based on the concept of implementation science， evaluate the teaching implementation effect and feedback， and provide references for optimizing course teaching outcomes and improving students’ humanistic care competence. MethodsA visual teaching program for medical humanistic care was designed， with key steps including clarifying teaching objectives， content， methods， and curriculum assessment. This program was implemented in the medical humanistic care course teaching involving 50 elective students. Multi-dimensional evaluation of teaching effectiveness was conducted through course grades， visual teaching evaluation， and humanistic workshop assessment， combined with inductive content analysis of students’ learning experiences in the workshops. ResultsThe 50 students achieved above-average course grades （89.60±3.41） and demonstrated high satisfaction with the overall course and visual teaching. All the 6 groups obtained relatively high scores in the medical humanistic care workshops. Four themes were extracted， namely， enhancing humanistic care competencies， deepening familial and interpersonal relationships， realizing emotional expression and self-growth， and strengthening integration of humanistic care concepts with practice. ConclusionThe teaching of medical humanistic care course has achieved favorable effects， which contributes to deepening students’ understanding of humanistic care and enhancing their humanistic care competence. Students demonstrate high levels of recognition and satisfaction with the course.

ObjectiveTo explore the impact of comprehensive vocational rehabilitation on quality of life and return-to-work outcomes for individuals with mild work-related disability. MethodsA longitudinal observational study was conducted. A total of 343 work-injured employees receiving comprehensive vocational rehabilitation intervention in Guangdong Work Injury Rehabilitation Hospital from June, 2023 to December, 2024 were selected. The 36-item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) was adopted to assess their health-related quality of life at admission and discharge. All subjects were followed up within one year after discharge to collect their return-to-work status. The differences in each dimension score of SF-36 among patients with different return-to-work outcomes (return to original post, transfer to new post and non-return to work) were compared, and the independent influencing factors of return-to-work outcomes were identified. ResultsComprehensive vocational rehabilitation intervention significantly improved the scores of physical functioning (PF), role-physical (RP) and role-emotional (RE) among work-injured employees (P < 0.05). At discharge, compared with patients who failed to return to work, patients returning to original post obtained significantly higher scores in PF, RP, bodily pain (BP), general health (GH), vitality (VT), social functioning (SF) and mental health (MH), patients transferred to new post achieved significantly higher scores in PF, BP, GH and SF (P < 0.05). Taking non-return-to-work status as the reference category, the multinomial logistic regression model showed the adverse factors for return to original post included low educational attainment (college diploma or below), on-site placement service, increased lost workdays and low employment intention (pre-contemplation and contemplation stages); the protective factor was positive evaluation of health transition (HT); for patients transferred to new posts, adverse factors were low employment intention (pre-contemplation stage) and increased lost workdays, while protective factors covered on-site placement service and positive HT evaluation. ConclusionComprehensive vocational rehabilitation can improve the quality of life for injured workers. Better quality of life is positively associated with return-to-work outcomes. HT, education level, job placement mode, lost workdays and employment willingness are independent factors impacting return-to-work outcomes.

Public health laboratory testing involves a wide range of sample types,complex matrices,diverse target analytes with varying concentrations,and multiple application contexts with different analytical requirements.As a critical step in public health laboratory analysis and testing,sample pretreatment plays a decisive role in ensuring the reproducibility and efficiency of the analytical methods.It directly affects the accuracy,sensitivity,and reliability of testing results,as well as the feasibility of downstream analyses.Traditional sample pretreatment techniques face persistent challenges,including low efficiency,limited throughput,restricted universal applicability,high organic solvent consumption,and poor compatibility with downstream analytical procedures.These limitations constrain their capacity to meet the evolving demands of research and practice in public health and preventive medicine.In recent years,technological advances have focused on improving efficiency and automation,enhancing selectivity and sensitivity,facilitating online testing capabilities,and promoting environmental sustainability.Sample pretreatment techniques in public health laboratory testing have been undergoing progressive upgrades,and numerous novel technologies have emerged.The paper provides a comprehensive review of new technologies and applications in the field.We focused on the development of new materials,the application of artificial intelligence,connections for online processing,and the approaches tailored to the demands of specific testing settings.We also discussed sample processing for omics analyses and mass spectrometry imaging methods relevant to public health laboratory testing.These advances are expected to support the development of greener and higher-throughput sample pretreatment and foster innovation in the public health laboratory testing system.

Objective To develop the Children's Screen Interaction Quality Questionnaire(CSIQ)suit-able for measuring Chinese children aged 0 to 4 years,and to test its reliability and validity.Methods The purposive sampling method was used,and the guardians of 30 normal children aged 0 to 4 years undergoing physical examinations in the Department of Child Health Care of Guiyang Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from February to April 2023 were selected as the interview objects.25 initial items were constructed through literature review,semi-structured interviews,and the Delphi expert consultation method.With the convenience sampling method,2 242 guardians of children aged 0 to 4 years old in the small and middle classes of 9 kindergartens in Guiyang City,Zunyi City,and Renhuai City were surveyed for item analysis,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,and reliability and validity analysis.Results Exploratory factor a-nalysis extracted three factors,namely screen content interaction,reality interaction,and media interaction,with a total of 12 items.The cumulative variance explained rate of the 3-factor model was 69.829％.Confirma-tory factor analysis supported the three-factor model of CSIQ:x2/df=4.424,root mean square error of ap-proximation(RMSEA)=0.066,normed fit index(NFI)=0.955,comparative fit index(CFI)=0.965,incre-mental fit index(IFI)=0.965,Tucker-Lewis index(TLI)=0.955,goodness-of-fit index(GFI)=0.955,and the CSIQ had good convergent validity and discriminant validity.Conclusion The CSIQ has good reliability and validity.

Eight new diterpenoids, Isodons A-H (1-8), comprising seco-abietane and abietane-type structures, together with 13 known analogues (9-21), were isolated from Isodon lophanthoides (Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don) Hara. The compounds (+)-3/(-)-3, (+)-4/(-)-4, and (+)-5/(-)-5 were identified as three enantiomeric pairs. The planar structures and absolute configurations of 1-8 were determined through high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), 1D & 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculations, and X-ray diffraction crystallography. A cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase (Cyp7a1) luciferase reporter assay revealed significant anti-cholestatic activities for compounds 1, (+)-4, 6, 7, 12-14, and 16. Additionally, compound 6 demonstrated anti-cholestatic effects through the farnesoid X receptor (FXR)-associated signaling pathways in vitro and in vivo. These findings suggest potential applications for I. Lophanthoides in pharmaceutical development.

Humanistic caring for patients in the operating room refers to providing the whole process of caring medical services for patients in the operating room. In order to standardize humanistic caring services for patients in the operating room of medical institutions, improve the comprehensive service level of the operating room, and enhance the surgical experience of patients, the Chinese Association for Life Care released the group standard " Humanistic Caring Management Standards for Patients in the Operating Room" in December 2023. This article interpreted the basic requirements for humanistic caring of patients in the operating room, the environment and facilities for humanistic caring, the procedures and measures for humanistic caring, and the quality management framework, aiming to assist administrators and clinical practitioners across various levels of medical institutions in accurately understanding and effectively implementing the standard, and to provide essential textual reference and practical guidance for promoting the application of the standard.

Objective:To establish a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the determination of N-desalkylquetiapine, hydroxybupropion, N-desmethyl clozapine, N-desmethyl clomipramine, O-desmethyvenlafaxine and dehydro aripiprazole in human plasma.Methods:In June 2023, plasma samples were treated with methanol-acetonitrile (volume ratio of 1∶1) for protein precipitation and then detected by LC-MS/MS. It was separated by C18 column and eluted with 5 mmol/L ammonium acetate water and 5 mmol/L ammonium acetate methanol solution as mobile phase gradient. The metabolites of six psychotropic drugs were qualitatively and quantitatively by using electrospray positive ion multi-reactive ion monitoring scanning mode (MRM) .Results:The linear relationships of six psychotropic drug metabolites were good in the concentration range of 2-100 μg/L. The linear correlation coefficients were 0.9971-0.9999, the limits of quantification of the method were 0.10-6.00 μg/L, and the inter-and intra-day precision were 4.6%-9.8% and 1.5%-8.6%, with the recoveries of the spiked standards ranged from 90.0% to 106.1%.Conclusion:The LC-MS/MS method for the determination of metabolites of six psychotropic drugs in human plasma is simple, rapid and sensitive, and can be used for the qualitative and quantitative determination of metabolites in plasma samples of patients suspected of psychotropic drug poisoning.

Objective:To establish a high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method for the fast determination of maduramicin ammonium (MAD) in rat serum.Methods:In February 2024, rat serum samples were selected and directly injected after extraction and purification with methanol: acetonitrile (1: 1), separated on a C18 chromatographic column, and gradient-eluted using 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution -0.1% formic acid methanol solution as the mobile phase. Under optimized instrument conditions, electrospray positive ion multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode was employed for quantification using the external standard method, followed by methodological validation of the established approach.Results:The linearity of MAD in serum was good in the concentration range of 0.5-100 μg/L, and the correlation coefficient was 0.9997. The mean recoveries of MAD from spiked samples were 86.0%-109.6%, with the relative standard deviations were less than 10%. The limit of detection was 0.23 μg/L, The limit of detection was 0.75 μg/L.Conclusion:This method is high sensitive and reliable, which is suitable for the determination of MAD in in mouse serum.

Objective:To predict pre-treatment clinical parameters that are associated with poor response and prognosis to ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) in patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and to use second-line treatment drugs in the early stages to delay the progression of the disease so that patients can benefit from early-stage treatment.Methods:Patients diagnosed with PBC at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from 2013 to 2022 were collected. Two hundred fifty-seven cases were screened in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The response and prognosis conditions one year after treatment were followed up in outpatient and inpatient departments, as well as through telephone calls. Statistical analyses were performed using t-tests, Mann-Whitney U test, χ2 test, Fisher's exact test, and logistic regression analysis according to different data. Results:A total of 257 PBC cases were included, with 223 females (86.80%) and 34 males (13.20%). Univariate and multivariate binary logistic regression analyses showed that baseline high albumin levels [odds ratio ( OR): 0.882, 95% confidence interval ( CI): 0.805～0.967, P=0.008] were a protective factor for PBC patients' response to UDCA treatment after adjusting for different confounding factors, while baseline high alkaline phosphatase ( OR: 1.012, 95% CI: 1.008～1.016, P<0.001) and baseline high neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) level ( OR: 1.462, 95% CI:1.079～1.981, P=0.014) were risk factors for a poor response to UDCA. Trend analysis showed that the baseline NLR quantile was positively correlated with the risk of poor response to UDCA ( OR: 5.512, 95% CI: 1.040～29.216, P=0.045) in patients with PBC. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis identified that age [hazard ratio ( HR): 1.050, 95% CI: 1.019～1.082] and NLR value ( HR:1.089, 95% CI:1.021～1.161) were independent influencing risk factors for all-cause mortality in PBC patients ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Baseline high albumin levels are protective factors against a poor biochemical response to UDCA, while baseline high alkaline phosphatase levels and high NLR are risk factors for a poor biochemical response to UDCA in patients with PBC. Additionally, baseline high NLR values are positively correlated with poor biochemical response to UDCA treatment.
