Objective This study aims to explore the impacts of short-term insemination and early rescue intracytoplasmic sperm injection (E-RICSI) on clinical and neonatal outcomes for IVF patients. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data from the patients who underwent fresh embryo transfer at the Reproductive Center from January 2019 to December 2023. Patients were divided into four groups based on fertilization method:short-term IVF group (n=204),conventional IVF group (n=208),E-RICSI group (n=13) and conventional ICSI group (n=92). The fertilization rates,embryo development,pregnancy outcomes,and neonatal outcomes were compared between the short-term IVF and conventional IVF groups,and between the E-RICSI and conventional ICSI groups. Results There were no statistically significant differences in embryo development,clinical pregnancy,miscarriage,ectopic pregnancy,live birth rates,neonatal sex,and birth weight between the short-term IVF group and conventional IVF group. Similarly,no significant differences were observed in the E-RICSI group compared to the conventional ICSI group (P>0.05). However,the fertilization rate (79.11％ vs. 84.39％,P<0.001) and the rate of 2PN zygotes (63.98％ vs. 70.83％,P<0.001) were significantly lower in the short-term IVF group compared to the conventional IVF group;The fertilization rate (65.49％ vs. 91.68％,P<0.001) and the rate of 2PN zygotes (57.75％ vs. 88.35％,P<0.001) were significantly lower in the E-RICSI group compared to the conventional ICSI group. Conclusions Although the fertilization rate of short-term insemination and E-RICSI is lower than that of conventional IVF and ICSI,it has no effect on embryonic development,preg-nancy outcome and neonatal outcome. Short-term insemination combined with early rescue ICSI is an effective and safe technology to prevent complete fertilization failure.

Objective To observe the effects of different frequencies of electroacupuncture on the degree of atrophy of quadriceps femoris in rabbits with anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)injury model;To explore the possible mechanisms of electroacupuncture in treating ACL injury.Methods Totally 24 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into blank group,model group,low-frequency electroacupuncture group and high-frequency electroacupuncture group,with 6 rabbits in each group.Except for the blank group,ACL injury models were established in the other groups.On the 7th day after modeling,the low-frequency electroacupuncture group and the high-frequency electroacupuncture group performed electroacupuncture treatment(continuous wave,frequency of 2 Hz and 100 Hz respectively,and left the needle in place for 20 min)at"Xuehai"and"Liangqiu"of the operation side,and the remaining groups were only grasped and immobilized,for 21 days.The mass ratio of the quadriceps femoris was calculated,the histopathological morphology of the quadriceps femoris tissue of the rabbits in each group was observed by HE staining,the expressions of NO,iNOS in quadriceps femoris tissue were detected by ELISA,the content of ROS in quadriceps femoris tissue was detected by fluorescent probe,the protein expressions of PERK,ATF6,IRE1,MuRF1,MAFbx in quadriceps femoris tissue were detected by Western blot.Results Compared with the blank group,the quadriceps femoris muscle mass ratio of the model group rabbits was significantly reduced(P<0.01),with irregular arrangement of muscle cells,accompanied by swelling and atrophy,significant interstitial edema,and extensive inflammatory infiltration,the contents of NO,iNOS and ROS in quadriceps femoris tissue significantly increased(P<0.01),while the expressions of PERK,ATF6,IRE1,MuRF1 and MAFbx proteins significantly increased(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the quadriceps femoris muscle mass ratio in the low-frequency and high-frequency electroacupuncture groups significantly increased(P<0.01),with regular arrangement of muscle cells,improved swelling and atrophy of cells,and reduced interstitial edema and inflammation,the contents of NO,iNOS and ROS in quadriceps femoris tissue were significantly reduced(P<0.01),and the expressions of PERK,ATF6,IRE1,MuRF1 and MAFbx proteins significantly decreased(P<0.01).Moreover,the low-frequency electroacupuncture group had better effects than the high-frequency electroacupuncture group(P<0.05).Conclusion Different frequencies of electroacupuncture intervention in ACL injury rabbits can better delay the degree of quadriceps femoris atrophy,and its mechanism may be related to reducing the expressions of oxidative metabolites NO,iNOS,ROS,and reducing the expressions of endoplasmic reticulum stress-related proteins PERK,ATF6,IRE1 in quadriceps fermoris,which in turn inhibit the expressions of quadriceps atrophy factors MuRF1,MAFbx,and delaying the degradation of quadriceps muscle proteins.The effect of low-frequency electroacupuncture is superior to the high-frequency electroacupuncture.

Objective To analyze and summarize the acupoint selection law of acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome(TMD)using data mining technology.Methods Clinical literature about acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of TMD was retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,CBM,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase and Cochrane Library from the establishment of the databases to March 1,2024.Excel 2021 was used to establish a prescription database of acupoints.SPSS Modeler 18.0 and SPSS Statistics 27.0 were used to analyze the frequency of use of acupoints,meridians,locations,specific acupoints,and the analysis of association rules,factor analysis,and clustering analysis.Results A total of 480 articles and 480 prescriptions were included in the study,containing 90 acupoints,with a total frequency of 2 290 times.The high-frequency acupoints were Xiaguan,Hegu,Jiache,Tinggong and Ashi point;the commonly used meridians were the stomach meridian,large intestine meridian,small intestine meridian,bile meridian,and triple-energizer meridian;the most frequently chosen acupoints were the Jiaohui acupoints,Yuan acupoints and Wushu acupoints;and mostly involved acupoints were located at the head and neck area,the upper limb area and the lower limb area.The association analysis showed that the top five combinations were"Xiaguan-Hegu","Xiaguan-Jiache","Xiaguan-Hegu-Jiache","Xiaguan-Tinggong","Xiaguan-Tinggong-Jiache";clustering analysis showed that five valid clusters were extracted;factor analysis extracted seven valid common factors.Conclusion The core acupoints of acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of TMD is Xiaguan-Hegu-Jiache-Tinggong,and mainly follows the principle of combining proximal and distal acupoints.

Methods:A total of 392 patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis were selected from the population of the epidemiological investigation project of allergic diseases in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. The project was led by Department of Allergy, Beijing Shijitan Hospital, Capital Medical University, and assisted by Hohhot First Hospital from April to May 2023. The patients were randomly divided into a spleen aminopeptide group (296 cases) and control group (96 cases) at a ratio of 3∶1, and the enrollment period was from June 1 to 14, 2023. The treatment group was treated with spleen aminopeptide oral solution for 12 weeks starting from 4-6 weeks (±7 days) before the pollen dispersal period, while the control group was treated with a simulated agent of spleen aminopeptide oral solution. Both the treatment group and the control group were treated with oral antihistamines and/or nasal glucocorticoids as needed during the pollen dispersal period. Evaluate the therapeutic effect by comparing the symptom scores, drug scores and quality of life scores of the two groups, and detect the expression levels of cytokines in serum. Symptom scores, quality of life scores, drug scores and laboratory results were compared by independent sample t test/Kruskal-Wallis test and χ2 test/Fisher′s exact test. Results:Compared with the control group, spleen aminopeptide treatment for 12 weeks significantly improved symptoms of nasal congestion [ M( Q1, Q3):2(1, 2) vs. 2(1, 3), H=6.308, P<0.05], nasal itching [ M( Q1, Q3):2(1, 2) vs. 2(1, 3), H=4.966, P<0.05], sneezing [ M( Q1, Q3):2(1, 2) vs. 2(1, 3), H=5.245, P<0.05], runny nose [ M( Q1, Q3):2(1, 2) vs. 2(1, 3), H=5.41, P<0.05] and tearing [ M( Q1, Q3):1(0, 2) vs. 1(0, 3), H=4.664, P<0.05]. At 12 weeks of treatment, the scores of nasal symptoms and ocular symptoms in control group and experimental group were significantly increased compared with baseline ( P<0.05). In experimental group, nasal congestion [ M( Q1, Q3):1(0, 1) vs. 1(0, 2), H=4.042, P<0.05], eye itching/foreign body sensation/redness symptom scores [ M( Q1, Q3):1(0, 2) vs. 1(0, 2), H=5.302, P<0.05] and total scores [ M( Q1, Q3):4(-1, 9) vs. 5(0, 12.5), H=3.958, P<0.05] were significantly increased. The antihistamine drug score of the splenic peptide treatment group at 6 weeks were lower than that of the control group ( H=4.232, P<0.05). After 12 weeks of treatment, the antihistamine drug score [ M( Q1, Q3):10(0, 24) vs. 19(2, 36.5), H=6.67, P<0.05] and the total drug score [ M( Q1, Q3):28.5(5, 77.5) vs. 46(6, 155.5), H=3.995, P<0.05] were significantly lower than those of the control group. The serum IL-17A levels of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group after 6 weeks (0.7±1.77 vs. 0.85±1.67 ,H=10.08, P<0.05) and 12 weeks (0.81±1.63 vs. 0.94±1.73, H=5.196, P<0.05) of splenic aminopeptide treatment. Conclusions:Early treatment with spleen aminopeptide oral solution can significantly improve nasal and ocular symptoms of patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis, reduce the use of drugs during the onset period, and improve the quality of life. Background: The Lymphadenectomy in Ovarian Neoplasms (LION) study revealed that systemic lymphadenectomy did not bring survival benefit for advanced ovarian cancer patients with clinically normal lymph nodes and was associated with a higher incidence of operative complications. However, there is no consensus on whether lymphadenectomy has survival benefit or not in early epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Methods We designed the LOVE study, a multicenter, randomized controlled, phase III trial to compare the efficacy and safety of comprehensive staging surgery with or without lymphadenectomy in stages IA-IIB EOC and fallopian tube carcinomas (FTC). The hypothesis is that the oncological outcomes provided by comprehensive staging surgery without lymphadenectomy are non-inferior to those of conventional completion staging surgery in early-stage EOC and FTC patients who have indications for post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy. Patients assigned to experimental group will undergo comprehensive staging surgery, but lymphadenectomy. Patients assigned to comparative group will undergo completion staging surgery including systematic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy. All subjects will receive 3–6 cycles of standard adjuvant chemotherapy. Major inclusion criteria are pathologic confirmed stage IA-IIB EOC or FTC, and patients have indications for adjuvant chemotherapy either confirmed by intraoperative fast frozen section or previous pathology after an incomplete staging surgery. Major exclusion criteria are non-epithelial tumors and low-grade serous carcinoma. Patients with severe rectum involvement which lead to partial rectum resection will be excluded. The sample size is 656 subjects. Primary endpoint is disease-free survival.

Objective:To investigate the effect of different assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and transplanted embryos at different developmental stages on live birth sex ratio in frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles.Methods:From April 2010 to October 2018, the clinical data of patients and neonatal underwent in vitro fertilization-frozen-thawed embryo transfer (IVF-FET), intracytoplasmic sperm injection-frozen-thawed embryo transfer (ICSI-FET) and preimplantation genetic testing-frozen-thawed embryo transfer (PGT-FET) cycles that led to birth in the Center of Reproductive Medicine, Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center were retrospectively analyzed. The relationship of the sex ratio of the live births to different ART and transplanted embryos at different developmental stages was studied. Results:1) IVF-FET cycles included 898 couples (920 FET cycles) and 1166 babies, with a general sex ratio of 106.7. The live birth sex ratio increased gradually at pre-morula stage, morula stage and blastocyst stage embryo transfer (99.0, 135.4, 142.6), but no statistical difference was observed between the groups ( P>0.05). 2) ICSI-FET cycles included 415 couples (433 FET cycles) and 555 babies, with a general live birth sex ratio of 111.0. After the transfer of embyos at different stages the proportion of male babies displayed no significant difference ( P>0.05). 3) PGT-FET cycles included 33 couples (33 FET cycles) and 33 babies, with a general live birth sex ratio of 153.8. Transplantation of blastocysts in IVF, ICSI or PGT had no significant effect on the proportion of male babies ( P>0.05). Conclusion:In FET cycles, compared with embryo transfer at early stage, late stage embryo transfer may be associated with a higher live birth sex ratio. The transfer of ICSI-FET embryos at different developmental stages and the transfer of blastocysts by IVF, ICSI or PGT technique did not affect the sex ratio of live birth.

Objective To observe the incidence of spontaneous clearance of hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients ,and to investigate the related factors of the spontaneous clearance of HBV DNA and to determine the time to start antiviral therapy .Methods Patients who met the inclusion criteria were recruited from the follow-up cohort of chronic HBV infection from January 2008 to August 2017 for observation .The liver function including alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels ,HBV DNA load and serum markers of HBV were measured at baseline ,month 1 ,month 3 and month 6 of follow-up . Evaluation index included cumulative HBV DNA negative conversion rate and cumulative HBeAg negative conversion rate .Multivariable analysis was used to analyze the factors associated with the spontaneous clearance of HBV DNA .Results A total of 116 patients were recruited in this study .All the patients showed ALT level elevation at baseline .Without antiviral treatment ,the cumulative HBV DNA negative conversion rate was 12 .9％ after 6-month observation .HBeAg negative conversion rate was 22 .5％ .Multivariable analysis showed that patients without a family history of HBV infection ,baseline ALT level >3 times the upper limit of normal (ULN) and HBV DNA level <6 lg copies/mL had higher cumulative HBV DNA spontaneous clearance rate .HBV DNA negative conversion rate in patients whomet all the above three conditions was up to 75％ .Conclusions In CHB patients and ALT level elevation for the first time , some patients could achieve spontaneous clearance of HBV DNA without antiviral therapy .Patients without a family history of HBV infection ,baseline ALT level >3 ULN and HBV DNA level <6 lg copies/mL have higher rate of cumulative HBV DNA spontaneous clearance .
