Short stature(SS) and disorder of sex development(DSD) are two types of conditions characterized by high clinical heterogeneity and complex etiology. There is interplay and mutual influence between the pathways regulated by growth hormone and sex hormones in skeletal and gonadal development. Causing co-occurrence of SS and DSD, as seen in conditions such as Turner syndrome, mixed gonadal dysgenesis, Noonan syndrome, and Prader-Willi syndrome. Patients with these disorders are often accompanied by distinctive facial features, endocrine and metabolic disturbances, cardiovascular disease, and other systemic complications. Genetic factors involved include chromosomal numerical and structural abnormalities; mutations in genes such as SHOX, CHD7, SOX8, and PTPN11, dysregulation of the RAS/mitogen activated protein kinase signaling pathway, and defects in imprinted genes. This article aims to systematically review the relevant research progress, in order to provide a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment strategies of patients with coexisting SS and DSD.

Objective:To explore the effect of social cognition and interaction training (SCIT) combined with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) on intrinsic motivation and social cognition in patients with schizophrenia.Methods:Forty-two stable schizophrenia patients were randomly divided into the SCIT + TMS group( n=22) and the SCIT group( n=20). All the subjects received 20 sessions of SCIT treatment, and the SCIT+ TMS group simultaneously received 15 sessions of intermittent theta burst stimulation(iTBS) over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPFC). All the subjects were assessed by intrinsic motivation inventory for schizophrenia research(IMI-SR), Chinese version of the ambiguous intentions hostility questionnaire(AIHQ-C), theory of mind-picture sequencing task(ToM-PST), mentalization scale (MentS), Chinese version of interpersonal reactivity index (IRI-C) and positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS) before and after intervention. SPSS 26.0 software was used for data analysis.Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used for intra-group comparison before and after treatment, while Mann-Whitney U test and covariance analysis were used for inter-group comparison.Spearman correlation analysis and Logistic regression analyses were used to explore the association between the intrinsic motivation and social cognition. Results:There were no significant differences on IMI-SR scores before and after treatment between the two groups(all P>0.05). In the SCIT+ TMS group, the total score of hostility bias (HB), HB scores in ambiguous scenes, HB scores in intentional scenes, and aggressive bias (AB) scores in ambiguous scenes of AIHQ-C scale after treatment were lower than those befor treatment( Z=-2.044--3.112, all P<0.05), while the total score of ToM-PST(18.50(16.00, 21.00) vs 15.50(11.75, 18.00), Z=-2.598, P=0.009) and IRI-C imagination score (12.18±3.79, 14.41±4.73, t=-2.694, P=0.014) were higher than those before treatment.In the SCIT group, the total score of ToM-PST after treatment was higher than that before treatment(21.00(20.00, 22.00) vs 17.00(14.50, 20.75), Z=-2.518, P=0.012).There was no significant statistical difference in MentS scores between after treatment and before treatment ( P>0.05). The difference in AIHQ-C intentional scenario AB score before and after treatment was higher in the SCIT+ TMS group than in the SCIT group ( Z=-1.996, P=0.046), while there was no statistically significant difference in the difference before and after treatment in social cognitive scores between the two groups (all P>0.05).In the combined two samples, Spearman correlation analysis showed that the total score of IMI-SR before treatment was positively correlated with the primary belief score of ToM-PST understanding, reciprocity score, MentS total score, other person mentalization score, motivation mentalization score, IRI-C total score, viewpoint taking score, and empathy concern score after treatment( r=0.341-0.509, all P<0.05), while negatively correlated with AIHQ-C total score and factor scores ( r=-0.434--0.645, P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the total score of IMI-SR had negative impact on AIHQ-C total HB score( B=-0.047, OR=0.954, 95% CI=0.917-0.993).The value score had a positive impact on the total score of MentS ( B=0.143, OR=1.154, 95% CI=1.043-1.277), other person mentalization score( B=0.166, OR=1.181, 95% CI=1.058-1.318), motivation mentalization score( B=0.111, OR=1.117, 95% CI=1.021-1.223), IRI-C total score ( B=0.138, OR=1.148, 95% CI=1.038-1.270), and viewpoint taking score( B=0.194, OR=1.214, 95% CI=1.076-1.369). Interest score had a positive impact on IRI-C empathy concern score ( B=0.098, OR=1.103, 95% CI=0.998-1.218) and ToM-PST understanding primary belief score( B=0.130, OR=1.138, 95% CI=1.010-1.283) and reciprocity score( B=0.189, OR=1.208, 95% CI=1.057-1.380). Conclusion:The research results did not confirm the effect of TMS over the DLPFC on enhancing intrinsic motivation, as well as the synergistic effect of SCIT treatment on social cognition. But the correlation results indicates that improving schizophrenia patients' intrinsic motivation level in cognitive training is meaningful for promoting social cognition.

Purpose To analyze the expression of SNAP23 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)and its influence on invasion of ESCC cells.Methods A total of 41 cases of ESCC and paired normal adjacent tissue(NAT)were collected.The expression and localization of SNAP23 were detected by immunohistochemical EnVision method.The differences of SNAP23 expression levels between ESCC tissues and NAT tissues were compared to analyze the relationship between SNAP23 expression and clinicopathological characteristics.The expression level of SNAP23 in human immortalized esophageal epithelial cells SHEE and ESCC cell lines TE-1,TE-13 and KYSE150 were detected by Western blot.Lentiviral vector transfection technique was used to construct stable transfection cell lines with knock-down and overexpression of SNAP23 gene.The effect of SNAP23 on invasion of ESCC cell line TE-13 was evaluated by cell invasion experiment.Results The expression of SNAP23 in ESCC was significantly higher(53.7％,22/41)than that in the NAT group(19.5％,8/41),the difference was statistically significant(x2=10.303,P＜0.01).The expression level of SNAP23 in ESCC tissues was significantly correlated with maximum tumor diameter(x2=4.193,P＜0.05)and invasion depth(x2=7.264,P＜0.05),but was not correlated with patient gender,age,tumor site,tumor type,pathologic grade,vascular embolus,nerve invasion and lymph node metastasis(P＞0.05).Compared with human immortalized esophageal epithelial cells SHEE,SNAP23 was highly expressed in ESCC cell lines(P＜0.000 1).Compared with the sh-NT group,the invasion of ESCC cell line TE-13 was inhibited when SNAP23 expression was knocked down(P＜0.000 1);compared with the Vector group,the invasion of ESCC cell line TE-13 was enhanced after overexpression of SNAP23(P＜0.000 1).Conclusion SNAP23 is highly expressed in ESCC tis-sue and cell lines,and its expression level in ESCC tissues is positively correlated with tumor maximum diameter and invasion depth;SNAP23 promotes the invasion of ESCC cells.

Objective To investigate the effects and mechanism of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction in oxidative stress in coronary heart disease model rats with heart blood stasis syndrome based on Keap1/Nrf2 signaling pathway.Methods The rats were divided into normal group,sham-operation group,model group,Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction group and trimetazidine group.The rat model of coronary heart disease with heart blood stasis syndrome was established by ligation of the left anterior descending branch of the coronary artery.Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction group and trimetazidine group were administrated with the corresponding drugs at the dosages of 14.04 g/kg and 5.4 mg/kg,respectively,and normal group,sham-operation group and model group were administrated with the same volume of normal saline for 14 days.The general state of rats was observed,body mass was recorded and electrocardiogram was collected.Echocardiography was used to examine cardiac functions(LVEF,LVFS,LVIDd,LVIDs);the morphology of myocardial tissue was observed by HE staining,serum malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)were detected by ELISA,the positive expressions of Keap1,Nrf2,HO-1 and NQO1 in myocardial tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results Compared with the normal group and sham-operation group,the rats in the model group showed signs of mental fatigue,reduced activity,dull fur,purple claws,and a significant decrease in body mass(P<0.01);the ST segment in lead Ⅱ of the electrocardiogram was significantly elevated,LVEF and LVFS were significantly reduced,and LVIDd and LVIDs significantly increased(P<0.01),with severe degeneration and necrosis of myocardial cells,disappearance of striated structures,disordered arrangement of myocardial fibers,infiltration of inflammatory cells;the serum MDA content significantly increased,while the activities of SOD,GSH-Px and T-AOC significantly decreased(P<0.01);the positive expressions of Keap1 and Nrf2 in myocardial tissue significantly increased,while the positive expression of HO-1 and NQO1 significantly decreased(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the rats in Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction group and trimetazidine group showed improvement in their mental state,increased activity,shiny fur,rosy nails,and significantly increased body mass(P<0.01);the ST segment of the electrocardiogram decreased to varying degrees,with significant increases in LVEF and LVFS,and significant decreases in LVIDd and LVIDs(P<0.01);a large number of myocardial cells survived,the arrangement of myocardial fibers was relatively regular,and the infiltration of inflammatory cells was significantly reduced;the serum MDA content was significantly reduced,while the activities of SOD,GSH-Px and T-AOC significantly increased(P<0.01);the positive expression of Keap1 in myocardial tissue significantly decreased,while the positive expressions of Nrf2,HO-1 and NQO1 significantly increased(P<0.01).Conclusion Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction may inhibit oxidative stress by activating Keap1/Nrf2 signaling pathway to improve the pathological morphology and structural damage of myocardial tissue and promote the recovery of cardiac functions in rats with heart blood stasis syndrome of coronary heart disease.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the impact of dapagliflozin on contrast-induced acute kidney injury(CIAKI)and prognosis in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2(T2DM)and acute coronary syndrome(ACS)who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).METHODS Retrospective selection of data on T2DM patients with ACS who underwent PCI treatment in the Cardiology Department of Tianjin Chest Hospital from January 1st 2021 to December 31st 2022.The patients were divided into dapagliflozin group(96 cases)and control group(148 cases)based on whether they received dapagliflozin or not.Renal function indicators were measured for all enrolled patients before PCI and at 48 h and 1 week after PCI,including blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(Scr),estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR),cystatin-C(Cys-C),kidney injury molecule-1(KIM-1)and β2-microglobulin(β2-MG).All patients were followed up for at least 1 year.The incidence of CIAKI and major adverse cardiac event(MACE)during follow-up were recorded for both groups.Logistic regression was used to analyze the impact of dapagliflozin on the occurrence of CIAKI,while the Log-rank test was applied to compare the incidence of MACE between the two groups.Cox regression was employed to analyze the impact of dapagliflozin on prognosis.RESULTS At 48 h and 1 week after PCI,serum levels of Cys-C,KIM-1 and β2-MG were significantly lower in the dapagliflozin group compared to the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of CIAKI was lower in the dapagliflozin group compared to the control group(6.25%vs.14.86%,P=0.042).Logistic regression analysis revealed that dapagliflozin was an independent protective factor against CIAKI(OR=0.280,95%CI 0.101-0.780,P=0.015).During the follow-up period,the incidence of MACE was lower in the dapagliflozin group compared to the control group(7.29%vs.17.57%,P=0.049).Cox regression analysis indicated that dapagliflozin reduced the occurrence of MACE after PCI(HR=0.374,95%CI 0.161-0.866,P=0.022).CONCLUSIONS With adequate hydration,the use of dapagliflozin does not increase the risk of CIAKI following PCI in T2DM patients with ACS.

OBJECTIVE To observe the effects of liraglutide on cardiovascular metabolism， left ventricular structure and function of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus （T2DM）. METHODS Totally 351 NAFLD patients with T2DM were enrolled retrospectively， who visited the Department of Endocrinology in our hospital from January 2019 to December 2022. They were divided into control group （196 cases） and observation group （155 cases） according to different treatment regimens. The control group received conventional standard treatment， and the observation group was additionally given Liraglutide injection 0.6 mg/d subcutaneously once a day based on the control group， adjusted to 1.2 mg/d after 7 days. Both groups received regular treatment for more than 12 months. The propensity matching method was used to match the two groups of patients at a ratio of 1∶1. The cardiovascular metabolism indexes and cardiac ultrasound parameters were compared， and the correlation between left ventricular structure， function parameters and cardiovascular metabolism indexes was analyzed. RESULTS After propensity score matching， there was no significant difference in baseline clinical data between the two groups （each 155 cases） before treatment （P＞0.05）. After 12 months of treatment， the waist circumference， weight， body mass index （BMI）， systolic blood pressure （SBP）， fasting blood glucose （FBG）， glycosylated hemoglobin （HbA1c） and triglyceride （TG） of both groups， as well as the diastolic blood pressure （DBP）， total cholesterol （TC）， uric acid （UA） and left ventricular mass （LVM） of the observation group， exhibited a significant decrease compared to pre-treatment levels （P＜0.05）. The high-density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C）， estimated glomerular filtration rate （eGFR）， and E/A ratio in both groups， as well as the aspartate aminotransferase （AST） in the control group and the left ventricular ejection fraction （LVEF） in the observation group， were all significantly increased compared with before treatment in the same group （P＜0.05）. Moreover， the improvement of the above indicators （except for TG and SBP） in the observation group was generally more significant than those in the control group （P＜0.05）. The left ventricular structure and functional parameters （LVM， LVEF， E/A ratio） of the two groups before and after treatment had varying degrees of correlation with the patients’ waist circumference， body weight， BMI， SBP， FBG and HbA1c. Moreover， BMI （observation group： β＝ 0.229， P＝0.004） and SBP （control group： β＝0.240， P＝0.004； observation group： β＝0.226， P＝0.007） were independent influential factors for LVM of the patients. CONCLUSIONS Liraglutide combined with conventional standard treatment can effectively control blood glucose in NAFLD patients with T2DM， reduce waist circumference， body weight and blood pressure， improve blood lipid disorders， and protect their cardiac structure and function.

Objective:To explore high-risk sexual behaviors of HIV/AIDS and related factors in young students in Guangzhou.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 5 different types of Guangzhou colleges by convenience sampling with minimum number of classes per grade and 600 samples per school from September to November 2021. The R 4.2.2 software was used to consolidate databases. Simultaneously, a logistic regression model and a decision tree algorithm model, stratifying by whether sexual behaviors had occurred before, were constructed. In each layer, the prediction performance of the two models was evaluated through area under receiver operating characteristic and the confusion matrix, and then the model with high prediction performance was retained.Results:A total of 7 346 students were surveyed. The proportion of the respondents reporting sexual experience were 9.08% (667/7 346), in whom 26.24% (175/667) had risky sexual activity in the past year. The decision tree algorithm model performs well in predicting whether high-risk sexual behaviors have occurred in the past year. When the complexity parameter value is 0.018, and nsplit reaches 4, which means there are 5 leaf nodes in the model, the cross error of the tree will be the smallest. The first best grouping variable in the decision tree was whether to use condoms throughout the first sexual behavior. If condoms were used at their sexual debut, but homosexual practices have occurred in the past year, the probability of risky sexual behavior will increase. If homosexual practices have not occurred in the past year, but the age of sexual debut was below 18 years old while the period of HIV education was after high school, the probability of risk sexual behavior will also increase.Conclusions:AIDS-related risky behaviors of young students still deserved attention. The experience of sexual debut and whether AIDS-related health education has been received before the sexual debut were significant predictors for the occurrence of high-risk sexual behavior. The decision tree algorithm model has particular applicability for predicting and screening potential risk populations.
