This consensus will introduce the characteristics of fillers used in the surgical cavities of domestic nasal surgery patients based on relevant literature and expert opinions. It will also provide recommendations for the selection of cavity fillers for different nasal diseases, with chronic sinusitis as a representative example.

Copper plays an important role in maintaining the normal metabolic function of cells and participates in a variety of physiological processes in cells， including cell respiration， neuropeptide processing， and iron transport， and therefore， it is of great significance to maintain copper homeostasis. In the central nervous system， copper homeostasis is involved in the regulation of synaptic function and the formation of myelin sheath， and copper homeostasis disorder is closely associated with the development of various neurodegenerative diseases. Recent studies have shown that copper homeostasis disorder caused by the mutation of ATPase copper transporting α may lead to the development and progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis （ALS）. This article reviews the research advances in copper homeostasis disorder in the pathogenesis of ALS and points out that maintaining copper homeostasis may provide a new target for the treatment of ALS.

Pemphigus vulgaris is the most common and serious type of pemphigus, and timely treatment can change its prognosis. This review comprehensively analyzes considerations in the treatment of pemphigus vulgaris during pregnancy and lactation as well as during the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, including treatment particularities and comprehensive nursing care, in order to provide better guidance and treatment for patients.

Objective The aim of this study was to compare the short-term and long-term prognostic significance of dif-ferent systemic inflammatory scores in patients with gastric cancer:neutrophil lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and platelet lymphocyte ratio ( PLR). Methods The clinical data of 240 patients with gastric cancer who underwent radical surgery were retrospectively analyzed. The relationship between NLR,PLR,glasgow prognostic score( GPS) and clinicopathological characteristics and perioperative compli-cations were compared. Survival analysis was performed using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis. The Log-rank methods were used to test the difference significance,and the multivariate analysis was performed using the Cox regression risk model. Results Patients in the high NLR and PLR groups were older,had a high GPS,deep tumor infiltration,more lymph node metastasis,and a late TNM stage (P<0. 05). The rate of positive margin in the high NLR group was higher(P<0. 05). Patients in the high NLR and PLR groups re-quired significantly higher transfusion rates than those in the low NLR and PLR groups(P<0. 05),and the high NLR group had more postoperative complications(P<0. 05). Univariate analysis showed that age,GPS,tumor location,tumor infiltration depth,lymph node metastasis status,TNM stage,vascular tumor thrombus,nerve infiltration,NLR and PLR were associated with postoperative survival of gastric cancer patients(P<0. 05). The overall survival(OS)in high NLR and high PLR groups was lower than that of low NLR and low PLR groups(P=0. 018 and P<0. 001). Cox regression analysis showed GPS and lymph node metastasis were independent prog-nostic factors of OS(P<0. 001 and P=0. 002). Conclusion Preoperative systemic inflammatory scores NLR and PLR are prognos-tic factors affecting the preoperative clinical outcomes of gastric cancer. It is recommended to be used in combination with other prog-nostic indicators for routine use in the prognosis of patients undergoing radical gastrectomy.

Objective· To investigate the prospective value of early postoperative PI-APD in children with hydronephrosis.Methods· Data of children with hydronephrosis who underwent pyeloplasty in Xinhua Hospital,Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine between Jan 2012 to Nov 2015 was collected.PI-APD was divided into 3 categories (≤ 19％,19％＜PI-APD＜40％ and ≥ 40％).The relationship between PI-APD value and the degree of renal function (DRF) and dilation recovery after surgery was analyzed.Results· There were 360 children with hydronephrosis.The median follow-up was 20 months.The PI-APD value (3 months after pyeloplasty) was positively correlated with the degree of DRF recovery (r=0.631,P=0.000).Five patients received redo-pyeloplasty.PI-APD of all these patients was ＜19％.Conclusion· PI-APD is a new feasible ultrasound parameter in pyeloplasty followup.PI-APD ≥ 40％ at the first post-operative visit predicts pyeloplasty success.PI-APD ≤ 19％ indicates close follow-up after operation.PI-APD can also help select children at high risk for repeat intervention after pyeloplasty.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and pathogenesis of nasal inverted papilloma (NIP) and its malignant transformation. METHOD: Fifty-seven cases of NIP were divided into 2 groups: benign group, squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) arising in NIP group (malignancy group). HPV-DNA types of 6, 11, 16, 18 were detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in 57 cases of NIP. Thirty cases of nasal polyps were control. RESULT: Total positive rate of HPV in NIP was 64.9% (37/57). The positive rate of benign group was 60% (27/45), all with single and low risk HPV11 type infection. The positive rate of malignancy group were was 83.3% (10/12), and the majority were HPV16 and HPV18. Five cases had double infection (4 with HPV16 and HPV 18, 1 with HPV11 and HPV18), four had single HPV16 infection, another one had single HPV11 infection. However, HPV-DNA was not detected in any cases of nasal polyps. CONCLUSION Infection of HPV-DNA has an important effect in pathogenesis of NIP. Meanwhile, there maybe a close relationship between high risk HPV16 type and HPV18 type and malignant transformation of NIP.

Objective This article aims to explore the relationship between PKC and SMDS(sudden manhood death syndrome,SMDS).Methods By way of immunohistochemical staining of left,right ventricular tousles,sino atrial node and atrioventricular node from 30 cases of SMDS group and 20 cases of control group,we observed and measured the expression and the intensity variance of PKC in myocardial ceHs with graphical analysis software.Results The average gray value and total area of PKC in myocardial cells of cases in the SMS group are obviously higher than that of cases in control group(P<0.05).And in the SMDS group,the average gray value of PKC in sino atrial node is higher than that in atrioventricular node.Conclusion As one way of humoral regulation,PKC is involved in the process of protecting the heart from impairment in SMDS.and it can be considerated as a reference index to identify the SMDS.

Objective This article aims to explore the role of HSP70 in the developing mechanism of SMDS(sudden manhood death syndrome,SMDS)and to investigate the value of it in the early diagnosis of SMDS.Methods By way of immunohistochemieal staining of left,right ventricular musles,sino atrial node and atrioventricular node from 30 cases of SMDS group and 20 cases of control group,we observed and measured the expression of HSP70 and its variance of intensity with graphical analysis software.Results Compared with the control group cases,in cardiac conduction system tissue of SMDS victims.we saw an obviously higher expression and intensity of HSP70(P<0.05).Conclusion As a kind of mediator in stress reaction,HSP70 is involved in the process of protecting the heart from impairment in SMDS,and it can be considerated as a reference index to identify the SMDS.

Objective　Investigate the sensitivity and accuracy of the denaturing high performance liquid chromatography(DHPLC) technique for the detection of single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP). Methods　 Forty-one samples were detected by both DHPLC and direct sequencing. Results　 The comparison demonstrated that DHPLC detected all heterozygous sequences found by direct sequencing. No false-positive signals were seen in the cases of homozygous sequences. Furthermore, no false-negative results were ever obtained with heterozygous mutations or polymorphisms, or both. Conclusion　 DHPLC is a potent method for SNP identification especially SNP typing in large scale screening.
