African swine fever(ASF)caused by African swine fever virus(ASFV)is a febrile,hem-orrhage and highly fatal infectious disease in pigs, which poses a serious threat to the global pig in-dustry.Currently,no vaccine is available for the prevention and control of ASF,and several ASF vaccines, including gene deletion attenuated live vaccines, live vector vaccines, and subunit vaccines are under the development stage in the laboratory research. As one of the most promising vaccines, live vector vaccine has the characteristic of safety and simulation of the pathogen natural infection to effectively stimulate the innate and adaptive immune responses, which becomes one of the hotspots in the research and development of novel ASF vaccines. This review focuses on the pro-gress in using modified viruses as vectors for ASF live vector vaccines, and aims to provide valua-ble information for future development of safe and effective ASF vector vaccines.

As a pediatric radiation oncologist, it is necessary to master and evaluate the sedative/anesthesia indications, adverse reactions and solutions and deliver whole-course management of sedation/anesthesia in pediatric radiotherapy under sedation. Although significant progress has been made in sedation/anesthesia, the psychological stress and family burden of sedation/anesthesia still exist. There is still great research potential in the field of investigating effective nonpharmacological interventions to reduce sedation/anesthesia use. In this article, the issues and challenges of sedative management and complications of pediatric radiotherapy and interventions for reducing sedation/anesthesia of radiotherapy were reviewed.

Objective:To develop a 3D-printed extraocular muscle teaching model and evaluate its teaching effect and learning experience among residents in standardized training. Methods:A total of 24 residents in standardized training who entered the Department of Ophthalmology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital from 2022 to 2024 were included, with 10, 7, and 7 residents in the first, second, and third grades, respectively. A simulated orbit and movable eyeball were constructed based on 3D printing technology. Tractionable elastic silicone bands were arranged on it to simulate healthy extraocular muscles, and non-elastic ropes were used to simulate diseased extraocular muscles. The model was applied in teaching rounds. Before and after the rounds, the residents were tested on basic knowledge (including diagnosis and judgment of surgical indications, with a full score of 40) and core knowledge (including judgment of mainly involved extraocular muscles and surgical design, with a full score of 60). Pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between the residents′ grades and their scores before the rounds, scores after the rounds, and score increments. A questionnaire survey (full score of 100) was conducted to assess their learning experience. Results:Before the teaching rounds, the average basic knowledge score of all residents was (21.0±7.5) and the core knowledge score was (11.3±7.7). These scores were positively correlated with the residents′ grades ( r=0.74, 0.69, all P<0.001) but generally low. After the teaching rounds, the basic knowledge score increased to (31.7±4.6), and the core knowledge score increased significantly to (48.5±3.8). There were no statistically significant differences in these scores among different grades ( P=0.22, P=0.83). The increments of basic knowledge and core knowledge scores decreased with the increase of residents′ grades, with statistically significant correlations ( r=-0.60, -0.65; P=0.002, P=0.001). The average scores of all residents in appearance, convenience, effectiveness, and total score were (18.2±1.1), (26.6±2.2), (40.0±4.0), and (84.8±5.0), respectively. There was no statistically significant correlation between these scores and the residents′ grades ( P=0.24, P=0.84, P=0.25, P=0.58). Suggestions for improving the current teaching model included: increasing the model size for long-distance viewing; enhancing the adhesion between silicone bands (simulating eye muscles) and the simulated eyeball; reducing the friction between the inner sphere and outer shell of the simulated eyeball to improve the model′s maneuverability and flexibility. Conclusions:The 3D-printed extraocular muscle teaching model can help residents of all grades quickly master the key and difficult points in learning restrictive strabismus caused by thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy. In clinical teaching of complex ocular diseases related to systemic diseases, constructing physical teaching models can effectively improve teaching effects and students′ learning experience.

【Objective】 To explore the application of machine learning in scientific and rational blood preparation and predictive analysis for surgical blood usage before liver transplantation surgery. 【Methods】 Clinical basic information including gender, age, clinical diagnosis and surgical methods of 356 liver transplantation patients were collected. The duration (Time) and preoperative laboratory test results of hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct), platelet count (Plt), prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen (Fib), total bilirubin (TBIL), albumin (ALB), creatinine (Crea) and total protein (TP), as well as the amount of intraoperative blood transfusion were collected. A machine learning model capable of predicting the risk of massive blood transfusion during liver transplantation surgery was established by Python, and was evaluated to select the optimal predictive model. 【Results】 Among the 7 machine learning models constructed, the logistic regression model performed the best (AUROC: 0.90, F1 score: 0.82), with an accuracy of 79.44% and precision of 79.69%, followed by the random forest classifier (AUROC: 0.87, F1 score: 0.83), with an accuracy of 79.44% and precision of 77.94%. 【Conclusion】 Establishing a machine learning prediction model by Python is of significant clinical importance for scientific blood preparation, predicting the risk of massive blood transfusion and ensuring the safety of blood use in liver transplantation surgery.

Chinese Journal of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases 2024;42(10):775-778
Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis is the most common type of pulmonary aspergillosis. This paper reported a patient with pulmonary aspergillosis secondary to obstructive pulmonary disease and other underlying diseases. The clinical manifestations included wheezing, cough, fever and wheezing rale in the lungs. Diagnosis was ultimately confirmed through pathogens targeted next generation sequencing and pathological examination of respiratory coughs. Following comprehensive treatment that included antifungal therapy, the patient was cured and discharged with a good prognosis.
