1.Inheritance and Current Research Status of Major Spleen-Stomach Theories in Traditional Chinese Medicine

This paper systematically reviews the core concepts and lines of theoretical inheritance of major spleen-stomach theories in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), including spleen deficiency theory, spleen-stomach damp-heat theory, and liver-spleen disharmony theory. It is found that these theories have all undergone a developmental trajectory characterized by classical foundation, refinement of therapeutic methods, systematization of pathogenesis, and modern innovation. The evolution of spleen-stomach theory has achieved a shift from a singular focus on tonifying the spleen to regulating dynamic middle-jiao (焦) balance, and from localized spleen-stomach regulation to the circular movement of qi involving all five zang organs. In terms of modern disease-syndrome integrative research, spleen deficiency syndrome is shown to be closely associated with impairment of the gastrointestinal mucosal barrier, metabolic disorders, and gene polymorphisms related to Helicobacter pylori-associated gastric diseases. Spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome is closely linked to hyperactive energy metabolism, inflammatory cytokines, and abnormal expression of aquaporins. Liver-spleen disharmony syndrome is mainly associated with dysregulation of the brain-gut axis and microbiota-related metabolic disorders. It is proposed that future research on spleen-stomach diseases and syndromes should further elucidate their potential multidimensional differential biological characteristics, thereby promoting the modernization of the TCM discipline of spleen-stomach studies.

The red doctor is a spiritual quality gradually molded during the process of the Communist Party of China (CPC) leading China’s healthcare undertakings. Through historical accumulation, the red doctor spirit has become a critical spiritual guide in the field of healthcare in China. The generation of the red doctor spirit is guided by the “spiritual essence” of Marxism, rooted in the “foundational heritage” of China’s excellent traditional medical ethics culture, and nurtured in the “soil” of arduous revolutionary medical practices led by the CPC, embodying the generative logic for the dynamic evolution of theory and practice. Currently, the red doctor spirit demonstrates significant era value in enriching the CPC’s spiritual spectrum, advancing medical talent cultivation, supporting the implementation of the healthy China strategy, and other aspects. In the context of the new era, inheriting the spirit of red medicine requires both expanding its communication channels and integrating it into the ideological and political education of medical schools, achieving a two-way synergy between online and offline platforms.
3.Preparation of Trop2-ECD_HPF fusion nanoparticles and their immunotherapeutic effects against triple-negative breast cancer

[摘 要] 目的:旨在构建Trop2-ECD与幽门螺杆菌铁蛋白(HPF)融合纳米颗粒疫苗,并评价其免疫原性与抗三阴性乳腺癌(TNBC)活性。方法:构建Trop2-ECD_HPF纳米颗粒疫苗,并在293F细胞中表达和纯化。通过尺寸排阻色谱和透射电子显微镜验证疫苗的纯度和均一性。使用铝佐剂配制疫苗对雌性BALB/c小鼠进行免疫,通过酶联免疫吸附法(ELISA)检测血清中Trop2特异性抗体滴度,并评估其对4T1-Trop2肿瘤模型的抑制效果。结果:Trop2-ECD_HPF纳米颗粒粒径约20 nm,颗粒形成率较高,纯度较高,能够显著诱导小鼠产生高滴度的Trop2特异性抗体,疫苗组第6周抗体滴度达106,显著高于佐剂组(P < 0.000 1)。在动物实验中,疫苗组小鼠的肿瘤体积显著减小(抑瘤率为38.6%),肿瘤增长速度显著减缓(P < 0.001),显示出较强的抗肿瘤效果。结论:Trop2-ECD_HPF融合纳米颗粒疫苗可有效诱导特异性体液免疫应答,显著抑制TNBC生长,为靶向Trop2的纳米疫苗开发提供了实验依据。
4.Research on the mechanism of Chaiqi yigan granules against liver cancer via the ferroptosis pathway

OBJECTIVE To explore the mechanism of Chaiqi yigan granules (CQYG) against liver cancer through the ferroptosis pathway. METHODS Network pharmacology combined with ferroptosis-related database was used to screen key targets and main effective components of CQYG against liver cancer via regulating ferroptosis; molecular docking technology was employed to analyze the binding ability of main active components to key targets. Human liver Huh-7 cells were divided into blank serum control (CON) group, CQYG drug-containing serum (CQYGKL) group, ferroptosis inducer (RSL3) group, mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) inhibitor (RMC-5552) group, mTORC1 agonist (CCT007093) group, and CCT007093+CQYGKL group. The levels of Fe 2+ , malondialdehyde (MDA), and glutathione (GSH) in the cells were detected in the former three groups; mRNA expressions of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (SREBP1), and stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 (SCD1), protein expressions of SREBP1 and SCD1 as well as phosphorylation levels of mTOR and ribosomal S6 kinase (S6K) proteins were detected in all groups. RESULTS Key targets of CQYG for anti-liver cancer through the ferroptosis pathway were mTOR, SREBP1, SCD1,etc. The main active components included quercetin, tanshinone Ⅱ A , baicalein, etc. The binding energies of main active components to key targets were all less than -5 kJ/mol. Compared with CON group, the levels of Fe 2+ and MDA in the cells in CQYGKL group and RSL3 group were significantly increased, while the levels of GSH were significantly decreased ( P <0.05). mRNA expressions of mTOR, SREBP1 and SCD1, protein expressions of SREBP1 and SCD1, as well as the phosphorylation levels of mTOR and S6K proteins were significantly decreased in the CQYGKL group, RSL3 group, and RMC-5552 group, whereas all the above indicators were significantly increased in the CCT007093 group ( P <0.05). Compared with CCT007093 group, the changes in all the above indicators were significantly suppressed in the CCT007093+CQYGKL group ( P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS CQYG may induce ferroptosis by inhibiting mTORC1/SREBP1/SCD1 axis, thereby exerting anti-liver cancer effects.
5.Network meta-analysis of the efficacy of GLP-1 receptor agonists in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with obesity/overweight

OBJECTIVE To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of 6 kinds of GLP-1RAs in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with overweight or obesity, and to provide evidence-based reference for clinical practice. METHODS A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, CNKI, VIP, Wanfang Data, and CBM from the inception to December 1, 2025. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data extraction and risk of bias assessment were performed on the included studies. Network meta-analysis was conducted using Stata 17.0 software. RESULTS A total of 29 eligible RCTs were included, involving 7 404 patients. Six GLP-1RAs were evaluated: semaglutide, liraglutide, exenatide, dulaglutide, polyethylene glycol loxenatide, and beinaglutide. In terms of glycemic control, semaglutide had the highest probability of ranking first in reducing glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and fasting plasma glucose levels, followed by polyethylene glycol loxenatide. In terms of weight management, semaglutide showed the highest probability of ranking first, followed by liraglutide and exenatide. Regarding safety, dulaglutide had the highest probability of ranking first in reducing the incidence of gastrointestinal adverse events; none of the GLP-1RAs significantly increased the risk of severe hypoglycemia. Subgroup analysis revealed that liraglutide 1.8 mg, qd and exenatide extend-release 2.0 mg, qw demonstrated superior efficacy in reducing HbA1c and body weight compared with other doses/dosage forms of the same agents. CONCLUSIONS For T2DM patients with overweight or obesity, semaglutide offers the greatest benefits in glycemic control and weight reduction, while dulaglutide demonstrates superior gastrointestinal tolerability. Liraglutide 1.8 mg, qd and exenatide extend-release 2.0 mg, qw show relatively better overall efficacy in glycemic control and weight reduction among the same agents.
6.Effect of ankle soft robotic exosuit on gait function for stroke patients: a scoping review from 2020 to 2025

ObjectiveTo explore effect of the ankle soft robotic exosuits (ASRE) on gait function in stroke patients. MethodsDatabases including PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP were searched for researches evaluating the impact of ASRE on gait function in stroke patients with hemiplegia, covering the period from January 1st, 2020 to May 1st, 2025. The PEDro scale and the Risk of Bias in Non-randomized Studies of Interventions tool were used to assess the quality of the included researches, and data were extracted for a scoping review. ResultsA total of twelve researches were finally included, consisting of three randomized controlled trials (RCT), three cross-over controlled trials and six pre-post controlled trials, which came from three countries of China, the United States and South Korea, involving 256 patients. The three RCT were rated as high-quality, while the remaining researches were presented moderate to serious risk of bias. Five researches employed a single-session intervention; and seven used multiple-session intervention, with 30 to 60 minutes a session, two to five sessions a week, for five to 20 sessions. ASRE was effective on walking speed, walking distance, propulsive force of the hemiplegic side, gait parameters and spatiotemporal symmetry, joint range of motion, as well as the scores of scales related to lower limb motor function, balance and gait, with favorable safety and reliability. ConclusionASRE may improve the gait function in stroke patients.

With the continuous deepening of the concept of precision diagnosis and treatment for lung cancer, how to achieve higher efficiency and accuracy in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment pathways in clinical practice has become an important issue that urgently needs to be overcome. The current clinical difficulty lies in the fact that despite continuous advancements in imaging and molecular diagnostic technologies, there are still limitations in manual efficiency and subjective experience when it comes to massive data analysis and multi-scale feature extraction. Artificial intelligence (AI), especially algorithm systems based on deep learning, is an innovative technology capable of deeply empowering medical big data. This method utilizes algorithms such as convolutional neural networks, combined with radiomics, pathomics, and multi-modal data fusion analysis, demonstrating immense potential in early precise detection and benign-malignant differentiation of pulmonary nodules, digital pathological subtype recognition and non-invasive prediction of driver genes, precise 3D surgical planning and automatic delineation of radiotherapy target volumes, as well as dynamic risk warning during follow-up. This innovative technology provides a brand-new solution for realizing intelligent and individualized lung cancer diagnosis and treatment models. This consensus, based on the latest evidence from evidence-based medicine and combined with the development trends in the AI field and real-world clinical needs, was ultimately formed by gathering the consensus opinions of multidisciplinary experts in radiology, pathology, thoracic surgery, and other fields. The main content covers the application specifications of AI in the three core scenarios of lung cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment, the technical standards for data collection and algorithm validation, as well as the ethical and regulatory challenges faced at the current stage. It aims to clarify the applicable boundaries of AI as a clinical auxiliary decision support tool, providing scientific guidance and standardized exploration directions for peers currently engaged in or planning to carry out AI-assisted clinical diagnosis, treatment, and translation of lung cancer.

Driven by the widespread adoption of minimally invasive thoracic surgical techniques and the deepening integration of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols, evidence-based perioperative airway management has emerged as a pivotal determinant of surgical safety, pulmonary functional recovery, and long-term prognosis. Currently, substantial regional disparities in thoracic surgical expertise persist across China, manifesting as heterogeneity in preoperative assessment standardization, inconsistent airway preparation strategies, divergent approaches to complication prevention, and limited penetration of advanced anesthetic technologies. To promote the standardization of clinical practices in this domain among hospitals at all levels, a multidisciplinary expert consortium has initiated the development of the Chinese Guidelines for Perioperative Airway Management in Thoracic Surgery (2026 edition). This protocol systematically delineates the methodological framework and structural blueprint underpinning the guideline’s formulation. Compared to the 2020 edition, the updated guideline places specific emphasis on refining stratified criteria for preoperative cardiopulmonary reserve assessment, establishing standardized management pathways for non-intubated spontaneous-ventilation techniques, formulating individualized multimodal perioperative pulmonary rehabilitation regimens, and defining precise intervention workflows for persistent postoperative cough. Collectively, these measures aim to further reduce the baseline incidence of perioperative pulmonary complications and to provide robust support for the clinical translation of enhanced recovery principles within the field of thoracic surgery.
9.Annual review of global liver transplantation research in 2025

In 2025, significant breakthroughs were achieved in various aspects of liver transplantation, including xenotransplantation, machine perfusion, minimally invasive surgery, precise immune regulation and artificial intelligence, etc. The successful implementation of gene-modified pig-to-human assisted liver transplantation marked the official entry of xenotransplantation into the clinical transformation stage. The machine perfusion technology completed multiple large-scale clinical validations, significantly improving the transplantation outcomes of marginal donor livers and donor livers from donation after cardiac death, and pushing organ preservation into the era of dynamic functional assessment. Split liver transplantation and living donor liver transplantation continuously optimized in terms of donor-recipient matching, liver utilization and perioperative management. Robotic and laparoscopic technologies further promoted liver transplantation towards the direction of precision and minimally invasive surgery. Hepatocellular carcinoma liver transplantation gradually formed a precise management model centered on immunotherapy, bridge downgrade and recurrence risk prediction. At the same time, artificial intelligence and multi-omics technologies demonstrated significant application value in prognosis prediction, organ allocation and complication risk assessment. This article conducts a systematic review of the important research progress in the field of liver transplantation in 2025 and looks forward to the future development directions and challenges.
10.Association between blood cesium-133 and sex hormone levels among male workers in an electric vehicle assembly plant

Objective To explore the association between occupational exposure to cesium and sex hormone levels in male workers. Methods A total of 988 male workers involved in assembly work at an electric vehicle assembly plant in Guangdong Province were recruited via purposive sampling. Blood samples of the workers were collected, and blood cesium-133 (Cs-133) levels were determined using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. Serum levels of estradiol, testosterone, progesterone, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and prolactin were measured using chemiluminescence immunoassay. Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to explore the associations between blood Cs-133 and the six sex hormones in the male workers. Results The median blood Cs-133 level was 2.23 μg/L, with a detection rate of 100.0%. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that blood Cs-133 levels were negatively associated with serum estradiol levels (P<0.05), after adjusting for covariates including age, length of service, educational level, marital status, body mass index (BMI), annual household income, alcohol consumption, and smoking. There was no significant interaction between blood Cs-133 levels and age, smoking, alcohol consumption, or BMI in relation to serum estradiol (all P>0.05). Conclusion Occupational exposure to Cs-133 is negatively associated with serum estradiol levels in the male workers of electric vehicle assembly industry, suggesting that occupational cesium exposure may influence male sex hormone profiles.
