Objective:To explore the status quo of elder abuse tendencies among nursing staff in nursing homes and analyze its influencing factors. Methods:The convenient sampling method was adopted to select 342 nursing staff from 26 nursing institutions in Zhengzhou from April to October 2020 as the research objects. The general information questionnaire, the Caregiver Abuse Screen (CASE) , Workplace Social Capital (WSC) and Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey (MBI-GS) were used to investigate the caregivers. Univariate analysis and Logistic regression analysis were used to explore the influencing factors of elder abuse tendency by nursing staff. A total of 342 questionnaires were distributed and 325 valid questionnaires were recovered, with the effective recovery rate of 95.0%.Results:A total of 65.5% (213/325) of the nursing staff had the tendency of elder abuse. Logistic regression analysis showed that the self-care ability type of elders in charge and emotional exhaustion of nursing staff were risk factors for elder abuse tendency of nursing staff ( P<0.05) , and workplace social capital was protective factor for elder abuse tendency of nursing staff ( P< 0.05) . Conclusions:Elderly caregivers have a high tendency to abuse the elderly. The tendency of caregivers to abuse the elderly should be dynamically assessed. Institutional managers should strengthen their support to the caregivers, reduce the number of disabled elderly people who are taken care of by caregivers, provide team support and psychological counseling and reduce the risk of abuse of the elderly.

Frailty refers to a clinical syndrome that occurs due to an increase in personal vulnerability and a decline in the ability to maintain one's internal balance, which is closely related to the development of bladder cancer in the aged. Cancer accelerates frailty, and preoperative frailty is an independent predictor of adverse health outcomes for patients undergoing radical cystectomy. It is of great significance in guiding the formulation of perioperative safety management plans for aged patients undergoing radical cystectomy. At present, China's research on the frailty of aged patients undergoing radical cystectomy is still in its infancy. This article reviewed the preoperative frailty assessment, the relationship between bladder cancer and frailty, and the safety management strategies for frail aged patients undergoing radical cystectomy, in order to provide a reference for the development of preoperative frailty research in aged patients with bladder cancer in China.

Objective:To explore the current situation of the use of assistive devices for mobility in patients with knee osteoarthritis and analyze its influencing factors. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, patients with knee osteoarthritis who were admitted to the Orthopedics Department of a Class Ⅲ Grade A general public hospital in Zhengzhou from January to July 2019 were selected as the research objects. The general information questionnaire, the Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with Assistive Technology (QUEST) Scale and other scales were used to conduct surveys. Univariate analysis and binary Logistic regression analysis were used to investigate the influencing factors of the use of assistive devices for mobility in patients with knee osteoarthritis. In this study, a total of 347 questionnaires were distributed and 340 valid questionnaires were returned. The effective recovery rate was 97.98%.Results:The usage rate of assistive devices for mobility in patients with knee osteoarthritis was 26.47% (90/340) , 5.55% (5/90) of the patients were recommended using assistive devices for mobility by medical staff, 2.22% (2/90) of the patients obtained assistive devices for mobility through professional adaptation, and 81.11% (73/90) of the patients did not receive health education on assistive devices for mobility. The total mean score of the QUEST Scale for 90 patients with knee osteoarthritis using assistive devices for mobility was (3.17±0.34) . Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that age, education level, monthly income, pain intensity, the activity of daily living status and social support were influencing factors for the use of assistive devices for mobility in patients with knee osteoarthritis ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Patients with knee osteoarthritis have a lower usage rate of assistive devices for mobility, receive fewer professional assistive devices for mobility services, and have lower satisfaction with them. There are many factors affecting whether or not to use assistive devices for mobility. Medical staff should pay more attention to and guide the use of assistive devices for mobility for patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Objective? To understand the self-management status among elderly chronic heart failure (CHF) patients and to compare the regional differences of self-management. Methods? By random cluster sampling, we investigated 6 124 elderly CHF patients from 102 hospitals in five regions, East China (Jiangxi Province, Shanghai Municipality, Zhejiang Province), West China (Qinghai Province, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Yunnan Province), South China (Hainan Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), North China (Heilongjiang Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region), Central China (Henan Province, Hubei Province, Hunan Province). The investigation result statistics were carried out and regional differences were compared. Results? The self-management of elderly CHF patients had a low to medium level with 61.25% (49/80) <80% for the scoring rate. The scores of East China and Central China were higher and the score of West China was low; the regional differences were statistical (H=59.07, P<0.01). The score of diet management was highest with 66.67% for the scoring rate (8/12); East China had the highest score, and West China had the lowest score; the regional differences were statistical (H=92.49, P<0.01). The scoring rate of medication management was 65.00% (13/20) with the highest in East China and low in North China and West China; the regional differences were statistical (H=351.10, P<0.01). Mental/social adjustment management was poor with 60.00% (12/20) for the scoring rate; the scores of Ease China were higher than those of North and West China; the regional differences were statistical (H=8.84, P<0.01). Symptom management was the worst with 57.14% (16/28) for the scoring rate; the scores of East and Central China were high;the regional differences were also statistical (H=17.62,P<0.01). Conclusions? Self-management of elderly CHF patients needs to be improved. Systematic and targeted health education for different regions should be carried out to improve patients' self-management and to reduce the disease burden.
