Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6(CEACAM6)in pancreatic cancer. Methods A total of 188 patients admitted to the Pancreas Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from May to December 2024 were consecutively enrolled, including 112 patients in the pancreatic cancer group and 76 patients in the benign pancreatic disease group(43 with pancreatitis and 33 with benign pancreatic tumors).Additional-ly,76 healthy individuals were included in the health control group.Serum CEACAM6 and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)levels were detected by ELISA and chemiluminescence immunoassay(CLIA),respectively. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of serum CEACAM6 for pancreatic cancer. The positive rate of serum CEACAM6 in CA19-9-negative pancreatic cancer patients was also investigated. Results The levels of serum CEACAM6 in the pancreatic cancer group(20.3[11.1,34.0]ng/mL)were significantly higher than those in the benign pancreatic disease group(6.2[2.6,10.5]ng/mL,Z=64.1,P<0.001)and healthy control group(0.8[0.4,4.4]ng/mL,Z=131.6,P<0.001).The areas under the ROC curve(AUCROC),sensitivity, and specificity of CEACAM6 and CA19-9 in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer were 0.889(95%CI:0.854-0.924)and 0.819(95%CI:0.761-0.863),81.3%and 65.2%,and 84.9%and 86.2%,respectively.The AUCROC,sensitivity, and specificity of the combined detection of the two reached 0.916(95%CI:0.875-0.946),91.1%,and 82.2%,respectively,which were better than any single indicator(P<0.05).In addition, the positive rate of serum CEACAM6 in CA19-9-negative pancreatic canc-er patients was 83.3%,significantly higher than CEA and CA125(P<0.01).Conclusion The detection of serum CEACAM6 is help-ful to the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, and its combination with serum CA19-9 can improve the diagnostic efficacy of pancreatic cancer.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of short-term rehabilitation therapy based on exercise on lung function in coal workers' with pneumoconiosis(CWP). METHODS: A total of 74 CWP patients were divided into control group(32) and treatment group(42) by random number table method. The control group received routine treatment only. The treatment group underwent 6 months of exercise-based rehabilitation treatment on the basis of routine treatment. The lung function was assessed in two groups to evaluate the treatment efficacy. RESULTS: Before rehabilitation treatment, the vital capacity(VC) and forced vital capacity(FVC) of patients in the treatment group were lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). But there was no significant difference in forced expiratory volume in first second(FEV_(1.0)) and FEV_(1.0)% between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, VC and FVC in the treatment group were higher than that before treatment in the same group(P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the four lung function indexes before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05). The difference of VC and FVC before and after treatment in the treatment group was higher than those in the control group(P<0.01). However, there was no significant difference in FEV_(1.0 )and FEV_(1.0)% between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05). CONCLUSION: Exercise-based short-term rehabilitation therapy can improve lung ventilation of CWP patients.

Journal of Clinical Surgery 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To evaluate the use of ductography.Method A review of 51 patients with presenting complaints of nipple discharge from January 1998 to May 2000 was conducted. Pathology and ductograms were reviewed.Result Ductography had a definite value in the diagnosis of nipple discharge, the sensitiveity was 84.3%.Conclusion Ductography had value to locate and identify leisions, especially multiple leisions and leisions in the periphery of the breast, but it did not exclude pathology.

Journal of Clinical Surgery 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To investigate the causes of misdiagnosis of B-ultrasonography in thyroid nodule and the function of B-ultrasonography in diagnosis in thyroid nodule. Methods 307 patients with thyroid nodule were analysis between the diagnosis of B-ultrasonography and pathology. Results The diagnosis of B-ultrasonography was different from the diagnosis of pathology in thyroid nodule. If the thyroid nodule found by B-ultrasonography was multiple, it was nodular goiter; If the thyroid nodule found by B-ultrasonography was single, the ratio of nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma was 3∶2.Conclusions Clinical physician did not grant the diagnosis of B-ultrasonagraphy as clinical diagnosis. Most of multiple thyroid nodules were nodular goiter, single mass may be nodular goiter or thyroid adenoma. When the diagnosis of B-ultrasonagraphy was thyroid occupation, it may be malignant thyroid neoplasm.
