BACKGROUND:Magnesium and magnesium-based materials have good biocompatibility, stable osteogenic properties, and biological activities such as vascularization and immune regulation, and show a broad application prospect in stomatology.OBJECTIVE:To summarize the mechanism of magnesium-based materials in the treatment of oral diseases in terms of osteogenesis, angiogenesis, and immunomodulation, and to review the application prospects of magnesium and magnesium-based materials in the field of oral diseases in recent years.METHODS:Chinese search key words were"magnesium, magnesium alloys,magnesium-based metals, fractures, implants, restorations, endodontics, periodontitis, periodontal disease, cysts, oral cancer."English search key works were"magnesium,magnesium-based alloy, fracture, facial bone fractures, denture, dental implant, restorative dentistry, pulpitis, periodontitis, periodontal diseases, oral cancer."The articles were retrieved on CNKI,WanFang,PubMed,and Web of Science databases.By analyzing and reading literature for screening,84 articles were finally included for review.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Magnesium and magnesium-based materials can be used as bone internal fixation devices for jaw fracture or orthognathic surgery.Due to the special biological properties of magnesium,it can not only ensure stable osteogenesis, but also avoid the possibility of secondary surgery, which has the potential to be widely used.In the field of bone regeneration in stomatology, magnesium, relying on its superior biological properties, shows better mechanical properties and antibacterial properties than existing clinical materials, providing more options for the development and application of materials in this field. With the help of the biological activity of magnesium,magnesium-based coating materials give full play to the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, further promote implant bone bonding and soft tissue integration, and have great application prospects in implant surface modification and promoting implant stability.Although magnesium has been involved in maxillofacial intraoral soft tissue regeneration and treatment, dental tissue engineering, there are still a lot of gaps.To ensure the stable biological characteristics of magnesium,it is usually necessary to add other alloys or carry out magnesium surface modification. However, the biological evaluation system of degradable metal implants is not perfect at present. The clinical application of magnesium in oral diseases still needs to be further clarified in the future.

[Purpose]To analyze the prevalence characteristics and disease burden of lung cancer in Hebei cancer registration areas from 2012 to 2020.[Methods]Lung cancer data were collected from the Hebei Provincial Cancer Registry from 2012 to 2020.The crude incidence/mortality rates,age-standardized incidence/mortality rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC/ASMRC)and by world standard population(ASIRW/ASMRW)were calculated. The Joinpoint model was used to calculate the annual percentage change(APC)and average annual percentage change(AAPC).Years of life lost(YLL)and years lived with disability(YLD)and the disability-adjusted life years(DALY)were calculated.[Results]From 2012 to 2020,the ASIRW of lung cancer in Hebei can-cer registration areas was 33.13/105,44.56/105 for men and 22.54/105 for women, respectively;the incidence rates of urban and rural areas were 29.05/105 and 33.52/105,respectively.The incidence rates increased with ages, reaching a peak in the age group of 80~84 years old. There was a de-creasing trend in the ASIRW of lung cancer(AAPC=-3.99%,P<0.05).From 2012 to 2020,the ASMRW of lung cancer was 25.80/105,36.56/105 for men and 15.96/105 for women, respectively;the mortality rates of urban and rural areas were 25.14/105 and 26.12/105,respectively.The mor-tality rates increase with ages, reaching a peak in the age group of 85 and above years old. There was a decreasing trend in the mortality of lung cancer(AAPC=-4.65%,P<0.001)from 2012 to 2020.The DALY of lung cancer in Hebei Province from 2012 to 2020 was 484 194 person-years,with male accounting for 66.77%,female accounted for 33.23%,the DALY rate of lung cancer was 3.31‰,of which 35.57%in urban areas and 64.43%in rural areas.[Conclusion]Lung can-cer incidence and mortality rate in Hebei cancer registration areas from 2012 to 2020 showed a decreasing trend. The disease burden is gradually increasing with age in middle-aged and el-derly population.

Objective:
To learn the status and influencing factors of development among infants at ages of 0 to 36 months in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, so as to provide the reference for promoting healthy development of infants.
Methods:
Infants at ages of 0-36 months who underwent physical examination in Child Health Clinic of Xiaoshan District Community Health Service Center were selected in 2022. General data of infants and their mothers were collected through questionnaires, and the development status of infants was screened by Age and Stages Questionnaire (third edition). Factors affecting the development status were identified using a multivariable logistic regression model.
Results:
A total of 2 519 infants were investigated, including 1 339 males (53.16%) and 1 180 females (46.84%). There were 608 infants with abnormal development of at least one functional area of communication (CM), gross motor (GM), fine motor (FM), problems solving (CG) and personal-social (PS). The abnormal rate was 24.14%, and the abnormal rates of the above functional areas were 9.77%, 6.59%, 7.98%, 6.39% and 9.33%, respectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that gender (male, OR=1.563, 95%CI: 1.191-2.052), mother's childbearing age (≥35 years, OR=1.411, 95%CI: 1.001-1.988), mother's educational level (lower than junior college, OR=1.460, 95%CI: 1.116-1.912) were factors affecting abnormal development of CM; preterm birth (OR=2.323, 95%CI: 1.315-4.103) was factors affecting abnormal development of GM; gender (male, OR=1.654, 95%CI: 1.225-2.232) was factors affecting abnormal development of FM; gender (male, OR=1.511, 95%CI: 1.086-2.102) and mode of delivery (cesarean section, OR=1.460, 95%CI: 1.060-2.010) were factors affecting abnormal development of CG; gender (male, OR=1.340, 95%CI: 1.019-1.763) and birth weight (low birth weight, OR=1.985, 95%CI: 1.149-3.432) were factors affecting abnormal development of PS.
Conclusions
The rate of abnormal development among infants at ages of 0 to 36 months in Xiaoshan District is 24.14%. Gender, preterm birth, mode of delivery, birth weight, mother's childbearing age and mother's educational level could affect the development status of infants.
