Background:
Sarcopenia is a multifactorial geriatric syndrome characterized by age-related loss of muscle mass, muscle strength, and physical performance. In recent years, neurotrophic and neuromuscular biomarkers have been investigated as potential diagnostic indicators of sarcopenia; however, evidence regarding their sex-specific differences remains limited.
Aim:
To evaluate the sex-specific associations of serum BDNF, GDNF, and CAF22 levels with sarcopenia and muscle-related parameters among older adults.
Materials and Methods:
This analytical cross-sectional study included adults aged 60 years and older. Sarcopenia was defined according to the Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia (AWGS 2019) criteria. Serum BDNF, GDNF, and CAF22 levels were measured using ELISA. Group differences were analyzed using independent t-tests, correlations were assessed using Pearson correlation analysis, and diagnostic performance for sarcopenia was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was also performed.
Results:
No statistically significant differences were observed in serum BDNF, GDNF, and CAF22 levels between sarcopenic and non-sarcopenic participants in either the male or female groups (all p>0.05). ROC analysis demonstrated AUC values ranging from 0.540 to 0.542 in males and from 0.508 to 0.530 in females for BDNF, GDNF, and CAF22. Multivariable logistic regression analysis revealed that age (OR=1.12, 95% CI: 1.04–1.21, p=0.003) and lower fat-free mass index (OR=0.78, 95% CI: 0.66–0.91, p=0.001) were significantly associated with sarcopenia, whereas BDNF, GDNF, and CAF22 showed no independent association with sarcopenia.
Conclusions
1. No statistically significant sex-specific differences were observed in serum BDNF, GDNF, and CAF22 levels between sarcopenic and non-sarcopenic older adults (all p>0.05). 2. CAF22 levels were weakly negatively correlated with muscle mass and fat-free mass index in males (p<0.05), whereas BDNF levels showed weak positive correlations with handgrip strength and fat-free mass index in females (p<0.05). CAF22 levels also demonstrated a weak positive correlation with age (p<0.05). 3. ROC and multivariable logistic regression analyses indicated limited diagnostic utility of BDNF, GDNF, and CAF22 for sarcopenia (AUC=0.508–0.542), and none of these biomarkers showed an independent association with sarcopenia (all p>0.05). In contrast, older age (OR=1.12, p=0.003) and lower fat-free mass index (OR=0.78, p=0.001) were significantly associated with sarcopenia.

Relationship of oocyte diameter and risk factors, embryo development during IVF treatment
Introduction: We aimed to determine whether the simple non-invasive measurement of oocyte size using a time-lapse system and assess the impact on occurrence of fertilization and embryo quality in assisted reproduction cycles.
Materials and methods: A retrospective study was performed on 70 infertile patients who underwent the first IVF cycle at Mon-CL hospital. A total of 70 cycles which yielded 483 metaphase II oocytes were included in the analysis. In addition, we evaluated age, body mass index, ovarian reserve markers, fertilization and good embryo rate. The results were processed using SPSS 21.0.
Results: The patients’s age ranged from 22 to 45 years (34.94±4.89 on average). The mean oocyte cytoplasmic diameter was 115.35±5.19 µm, total diameter was 167.61±9.61 µm, zona pellucida thickness was 21.58±4.09. There was no statistically significant association between oocyte size and the occurrence of fertilization or the qualitative embryo classification on day 3. Age, body mass index, cause of infertility, and ovarian response did not affect oocyte sizes.

The oral hygiene is not relatively good cause of smoking, ignoring oral hygiene, not having enough self-care skills and independent living in case mental illness. Their grinding the teeth, serotonin decreases when the people are depressed and then it makes the carbohydrates increases, loses the sense of taste. Therefore they use a lot of sweet, the salivary output decreases, increase in the number of lactobacili and then it makes the cause ofabnormal disease detections including tooth decay, trigeminus neural pain in temporomandibular joint /TMJ/, oral yeast infection, oral bad breath, burning sensation of the tongue, chronic facial pain. Also the oral can disease detects from drug causes like using the anti-depression drugs for at least 6 months.Using analytical research permanent design, I got 55 patients to take part in the survey who are staying in 5th flat , National Clinic of Mental Health from 22nd of September 2014 until 26th of September. When I do the research for history of their patients: among the diagnosis of 16 people disorder depressed, the 13 patients agreed to have a preventive examination voluntary, one of them declined to do it. I use many methods of researching like questionnaire methods interview method, prevention oforal cavity and clinical examinations, respectively Study shows that curriculum contents of School of Nursing, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences have comparatively less contents of understanding about healthy person, assessment on human, giving advice healthy human, path anatomy, physiology, communication skills. The most of the survey participant patients have holes in their teeth, gum inflammation, and tongue stress disorder. It shows that it decreased to pay attention on their oral hygiene associated with symptoms and it effects directly related to the decrease in salivary output.Depressed People are so bad at paying attention to their oral hygiene habits.
