Mobile computed tomography (CT) can be used for critically ill patients’ bedside CT scans in an operating room or intensive care unit because of its flexibility and convenience compared to conventional CT. Meanwhile, attention has been paid to the ionizing radiation hazards brought by mobile CT scans due to a lack of wall shielding protection from a fixed machinery room, especially the control of radiation dose to the surrounding medical staff and the public. This article mainly discusses the radiation protection of mobile CT from aspects such as radiation protection principles, protection management, and protection of examinees, staff, and the public by summarizing relevant standards, guidelines, and literature in China and globally to provide a reference for the standardized use of mobile CT.

Objective To evaluate the effect of bundle intervention on reducing catheter-associated urinary tract in-fection(CAUTI).Methods Hospitalized patients with urinary catheterization in a tertiary first-class hospital were subjected to targeted monitoring of a baseline survey from January to December 2022(pre-intervention).The main causes were found out,and bundle intervention measures were developed and implemented through plan-do-check-act(PDCA)tools from January to March 2023(intervention period). The data from April to December 2023(post-intervention)were collected, difference in catheter use rate and incidence of CAUTI before and after intervention were compared. Results The implementation rate of correctly hanging urine collection bags after intervention was 97.00%,the implementation rate of timely emptying urine collection bags was 91.72%,awareness rate of hand hy-giene among patient's family members was 79.13%,implementation rate of urinary catheter clamping during trans-portation was 74.79%,and daily evaluation implementation rate was 87.68%,which were higher than the pre-in-tervention rates of 85.63%,80.47%,62.75%,60.00%,and 79.93%,respectively.The incidence of CAUTI de-creased from 1.23‰ before intervention to 0.57‰ after intervention, the use rate of urinary catheter decreased from 5.53%before intervention to 5.37%after intervention.Differences of the above indicators were all statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Through targeted monitoring on CAUTI and PDCA quality tools, the weak links in healthcare-associated infection control are identified, more targeted prevention and control measures are for-mulated,the implementation of bundle intervention measures can reduce the incidence of CAUTI.

The health-associated infection in the department of stomatology is an important issue for global public health and is closely associated with the medical quality and the health of health care workers and patients.Al-though certain progress has been achieved in the prevention and control of the health-associated infections in de-partment of stomatology, considering the diversity of influencing factors, the joint effort of the global public health institutions, medical institutions and scientific research institutions remains necessary for the effective con-trol of the hospital-associated infections. The study focuses on the current status of hospital-associated infections in department of stomatology, risk factors and progress of research on prevention and control strategies in recent years so as to formulate more effective prevention and control strategies and provide reference for better prevention and control of the infections and protection of public heath.

Objective To understand the basic situation of healthcare-associated infection(HAI)management and prevention and control of multidrug-resistant organism(MDRO)infection in medical institutions in Hubei Province. Methods Questionnaires were used to investigate the basic situation of HAI management and MDRO infection in 47 tertiary and secondary hospitals in Hubei Province. Results 47 hospital were enrolled in this study,HAI management full-time staff was allocated with a median of 0.90/250 beds;in 2015,the isolation rates of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus,carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae,carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa,carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus were 39.13%,4.13%,19.44%,63.60%,and 2.77%respectively.47 hospitals all carried out surveillance on MDROs,28(59.57%)hospitals were installed HAI monitoring system software, could directly obtain data through collecting with the laboratory system. The diagnosis of MDRO infection was mainly based on the combined diagnosis by HAI full-time personnel and clinicians(26 hospitals,55.32%).44(93.62%)hospitals regularly convened coordination meeting on prevention and control of MDROs,in 2015,hand hygiene compliance rate were 10.0%-89.2%by self-inspection;42(89.36%)hospitals routinely prescribed isolation orders for patients with MDRO infection,33(70.21%)hospitals conducted environmental clean and disinfection twice a day,24(51.06%)hospitals performed personal protection by using complete set of protective equipment. Conclusion This investigation is helpful for understanding the general situation of HAI management in medical institutions,as well as the detection and control of MDROs in this area, and make continual improvement on the problems and weakness found in the investigated project,so as to promote the development of HAI management in this area.
