[Purpose]To analyze the incidence and mortality of thyroid cancer in Zhejiang cancer registration areas in 2021 and trends from 2000 to 2021.[Methods]Based on cancer data from 22 registries across Zhejiang Province between 2000 and 2021,the crude incidence/mortality rates,age-standardized incidence/mortality rates of thyroid cancer by Chinese and world standard population(ASIRC/ASMRC,ASIRW/ASMRW),cumulative rate(0～74 years old)and truncated rate(35～64 years old)were analyzed.Joinpoint regression model was employed to calculate the annual percentage change(APC)and average annual percentage change(AAPC)with 95％confidence in-terval(CI)for analyzing trends of thyroid cancer incidence and mortality rates from 2000 to 2021.[Results]The crude incidence rate of thyroid cancer increased from 3.62/105 in 2000 to 79.66/105 in 2021,and ASIRC rose from 3.11/105 to 69.49/105(AAPC=15.55％,95％CI:14.65％～16.61％).The AAPC for ASIRC was slightly higher in female(15.54％,95％CI:14.71％～16.49％)than that in male(15.02％,95％CI:13.53％～16.82％).The increase was significantly more pronounced in rural areas(AAPC=23.34％,95％CI:21.48％～25.33％)compared to urban areas(AAPC=14.12％,95％CI:13.15％～15.43％).Among age groups,the age group of 15～44 years old showed the fastest increase in crude incidence rate(AAPC=20.37％,95％CI:18.46％～22.31％),followed by the age group of 45～64 years old(AAPC=18.41％,95％CI:16.65％～20.19％).Between 2000 and 2021,the crude mortality rate of thyroid cancer rose from 0.34/105 to 0.56/105(AAPC=5.52％,95％CI:3.45％～7.70％),the trend of ASMRC was relatively stable.[Conclusion]From 2000 to 2021,the incidence of thyroid cancer in Zhejiang Province increased markedly,especially among females and younger to middle-aged adults,while the age-standardized mortality rate remained stable.

Objective:To investigate the significance and mechanism of ten-eleven translocation (Tet1) against Mycobacterium marinum ( Mm) infection in mice. Methods:SPF wild-type C57BL/6 and Tet1-knockout (Tet1KO) mice were injected intravenously with Mm. All mice were monitored and the abscesses formed in tail were observed and quantified. Pathological changes in mouse tail tissues were observed using hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining and transmission electron microscopy and the differences between the two groups were analyzed. Immunohistochemistry staining was used to detect the expression and distribution of TNF-α and TGF-β in mouse tail tissues. Moreover, mouse tail tissues were cultured on 7H10 plates for bacterial counting. The expression of NF-κBp65 and TGF-β was detected by Western blot. Results:Obvious lesions including abscesses and ulcers were formed in the Mm-infected C57BL/6, but only scattered small abscesses were observed in Mm-infected Tet1KO mice. During Mm infection, the bacterial load was gradually increased in C57BL/6 mice, but decreased in Tet1KO mice. Histopathological examination showed that obvious inflammatory cell infiltration and typical granulomatous lesions were found in Mm-infected C57BL/6 mice, while no significant inflammatory cell infiltration was detected in Mm-infected Tet1KO mice. Immunohistochemistry staining demonstrated that the expression of TNF-α and TGF-β was lower in Mm-infected Tet1KO mice than in Mm-infected C57BL/6 mice. Moreover, the expression of phosphorylated NF-κBp65 and TGF-β was significantly reduced in Mm-infected Tet1KO mice as compared with that in Mm-infected C57BL/6 mice. Conclusions:Deletion of Tet1 could alleviate the inflammatory damage mediated by Mm and enhance the host immune response to bacteria.

Objective To investigate the role and molecular mechanism of epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EM T ) in che‐moresistance to oxaliplatin in colorectal cancer cells .Methods Oxaliplatin resistant LOVO/L‐OHP cells were established by gradu‐ally increasing the concentration of oxaliplatin and intermittent treatment with high‐dose concentration on parental cells (LOVO) . The expression of E‐cadherin and Vimentin was detected by indirect immunofluorescence and Western blot analysis .The expression of Snail and Twist was detected by Western blot analysis .cell proliferation was detected by MTT .Results Compared with LOVO cells ,the epithelial phenotype of LOVO/L‐OHP cell line was lost ,and the expression of E‐cadherin was decreased (22 .63 ± 3 .25)% (P<0 .01) ,an increase in the mesenchymal marker Vimentin (475 .42 ± 58 .36)% (P< 0 .01) .LOVO/L‐OHP cell line Twist expression was slightly increased (116 .42 ± 18 .36)% (P> 0 .05) ,Snail expression was significantly increased (382 .18 ± 41 .33)% (P<0 .01) .The expression of siSnail increased E‐cadherin (246 .82 ± 31 .57)% (P<0 .01) .The expression of Vimentin (28 .75 ± 3 .96)% (P< 0 .01);siSnail significantly enhanced sensitivity to oxaliplatin based chemotherapy in LOVO/L‐OHP cell line ,IC50 control group and siSnail group were 23 .75 μg/mL and 12 .42 μg/mL .Conclusion EM T may play an important role in chemoresistance to oxaliplatin in colorectal cancer cells ,inhibition of EM T can restore chemosensitivity of resistant colorectal cancer cells.

Objective To investigate the application value of the liquid‐based cytology test (TCT) and the DNA quantitative analysis in cervical lesions screening .Methods 2 883 cases of TCT ,1 742 cases of DNA quantitative analysis and 333 cases of TCT combined with the DNA quantitative analysis were performed the retrospective analysis for investigating their clinical significance in diagnosing the cervical lesions .Results The positive coincidence rates of TCT ,DNA quantitative analysis and their combined detec‐tion were 43 .86% ,68 .04% and 81 .16% respectively .There was statistically significant difference in the positive coincidence rates for diagnosing CIN Ⅰand above between TCT and the DNA quantitative analysis (P<0 .01);the positive coincidence rates of the combined detection had statistical difference compared with TCT and the DNA quantitative analysis (P<0 .01) .The sensitivity and the specificity of TCT for discovering the cervical lesions were 69 .44% and 92 .42% respectively ;which of the DNA quantitative a‐nalysis were 85 .71% and 87 .89% respectively ;while which of combined detection were 96 .55% and 95 .89% respectively .Conclu‐sion The DNA quantitative analysis and TCT have the higher clinical diagnostic value in the cervical lesion screening .Their com‐bined detection can more effectively increase the detection rate of cervical lesions .

Objective: To investigate the relationship between Bilirubin blood lipid comprehensive index and ifbrinogen (FIB) to severity of coronary lesions in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).
Methods: A total of 324 patients with angiography (CAG) conifrmed diagnosis were divided into 2 sets of groups.①By CAG examination, the patients were divided into 2 groups: CAD group,n=262 and Non-CAD group,n=62.②By Gensini scoring system, the patients were divided into 4 quartile groups: 1st quartile group,n=58, 2nd quartile group,n=110, 3rd group, n=80 and 4th quartile group,n=76. The blood levels of total bilirubin (TBIL), total cholesterol (TC), LDL-C, HDL-C, TG and ifbrinogen were measured and bilirubin blood lipid comprehensive index, TC/(HDL-C+TBIL) and LDL-C/(HDL-C+TBIL) were calculated respectively.
Results:①By CAG examination, compared with Non-CAD group, CAD group had increased TC, LDL-C, ratios of TC/(HDL-C+TBIL), LDL-C/(HDL-C+TBIL) and FIB,P<0.05; decreased TBIL and indirect bilirubin (IBIL),P<0.05.②By Gensini scoring system, the level of TBIL, IBIL, ratios of LDL-C/(HDL-C+TBIL), TC/(HDL-C+TBIL), HDL-C and FIB were different among 4 groups,P<0.05.③ Logistic regression analysis indicated that with excluded interactional factors, the bilirubin blood lipid comprehensive index was the independent risk factor for CAD[TC/(HDL-C+TBIL): OR: 1.668, 95% CI:1.065~2.784,P=0.028; LDL-C/(HDL-C+TBIL ): OR: 1.786, 95% CI: 1.021~2.879,P=0.030].④Correlation analysis presented that TC/(HDL-C+TBIL), LDL-C/(HDL-C+TBIL) and FIB were positively related to Gensini scoring system (r=0.423,P<0.01), (r=0.417,P<0.01) and (r= 0.293,P <0.01) respectively.
Conclusion: Bilirubin blood lipid comprehensive index and ifbrinogen were positively related to severity of coronary lesions in CAD patients.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the therapeutic effect of revision endoscopic sinus surgery for recurrent chronic rhinosinusitis. METHOD: Clinical data of 45 cases of recurrent rhinosinusitis treated in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Revision endoscopic sinus surgery was performed in all the patients. RESULT: All the patients were followed up for a period of 1 to 2 years after operation. No serious complication occured. The cure rate was 75.6% (34 cases), 8 cases (17.8%) improved, while other 3 cases (6.6%) were of no effect. CONCLUSION Recurrent rhinosinusitis is closely related with medical treatment before the surgery, adhesion in nasal cavity after the surgery, deviation of nasal septum, treatment of superior turbine and inferior turbine and regular medicament management after the surgery. Revision endoscopic sinus surgery is an effective method for recurrent recurrent rhinosinusitis. The efficacy of revision endoscopic sinus surgery can be greatly improved by reasonable perioperative management, skilled operation and regular follow-up postoperatively.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy of the treatment of endoscopic sinus surgery on patients dignosed as chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP) complicated and asthma. METHOD: Data of 45 patients with CRSwNP complicated asthma were analyzed retrospectively. RESULT: All cases were followed up for a period of 1 to 3 years after operation. In the 45 cases treated with ESS, 32 cases were cured, 9 cases were improved and 4 cases were inefficient by the treatment. The cure rate was 91.1% (41/45). The asthma symptoms were improved in 16 patients compared to 4 before the surgery. CONCLUSION With ESS based on combined therapy,it can significantly improve the condition of CRSwNP, asthma symptoms and pulmonary function. Meanwhile, sufficient perioperative period preparation should be made to ensure the safety of the operation.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical features, therapeutic methods and therapeutic efficacy of imflammatory myofibroblastic tumor(IMT)of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. METHOD: Clinical data of 14 cases diagnosed as IMT by pathology were retrospectively analyzed. There were 8 males and 6 females,age ranging from 18 to 77 years. 12 cases of them were treated by surgery while 2 cases received postoperative radiotherapy. RESULT: All cases were operated. All the patients were followed up for a period of 1 to 7 years after operation and two cases were proved low grade IMT pathologically. Eight cases survived with no recurrence until the last follow-up and 6 cases relapsed, of which 4 cases died and 2 were alive with tumor. CONCLUSION IMT of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is very rare. The diagonosis of IMT is based on pathology and immunohistochemistry. Proper diagnosis is essential to avoid mutilating and disfiguring surgical procedures. Radical excision is still the first choice of treatment for IMT of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy may not be helpful to prevent recurrence after operation. Due to high recurrence rate, long-term follow up is necessary after operation.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinopathological characteristics, differential diagnosis, therapy and prognosis of sinonasal mucosal malignant melanoma. METHOD: Clinopathological data of 18 cases which were diagnosed by pathology and immmunohistochemistry were analyzed retrospectively. All cases were proved by pathology and immmunohistochemistry. All cases were performed operations. 5 underwent single surgery. 4 underwent surgery plus adjuvant radiotherapy. 4 underwent surgery plus adjuvant radiotherapy chemotherapy. 5 underwent surgery plus adjuvant chemoradiation. RESULT: All cases were followed up for a period of 1 to 7 years after operation. Twelve patients died of tumor until the last follow-up, meanwhile 6 patients stayed alive. In Six cases recurrence occurred. In five casescervical lymph node metastasis occurred, of which 3 cases received neck dissection and 2 cases received chemotherapy and radiotherapy due to no surgical indications. In three cases distant metastasis oc- curred. CONCLUSION Sinonasal mucosal malignant melanoma is rare and highly heterogenous. Current diagnosis depends on clinical characteristics and immunohistochemical examination. It still should be differentially diagnosed from other tumors. CT and MRI image examination can provide some helpful information to understand the extent and nature of lesions. The treatment of nasal endoscopic or the surgery under endoscopy has become to be a safe, viable and reasonable alternative to open resection. Appropriate indication must be carefully selected for these lesions.
