Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a critical clinical condition characterized by rapid renal function decline, with high morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has shown potential effects on mitigating oxidative stress and programmed cell death in AKI models. Scutellaria barbata D. Don (SB) and Scleromitrion diffusum (Willd.) R. J. Wang (SD), a classic TCM herbal pair exhibited anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. Using advanced chromatographic separation technology, we enriched the effective fractions of water extracts from SB-SD, obtaining self-assembled herbal nanoparticles (SB and SD nanoparticles, SSNPs) rich in flavonoids and terpenoids. These SSNPs demonstrated robust antioxidant properties in vitro and mitigated AKI progression in vivo by activating the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway. Oral administration of SSNPs in mice resulted in absorption into the bloodstream, formation of a protein corona, reduced macrophage phagocytosis, and enhanced bioavailability and renal targeting. Furthermore, we investigated the self-assembly principle of SSNPs using representative flavonoids and terpenoids. Kinetic studies and in situ transmission electron microscopy (in situ TEM) revealed that these compounds self-assemble via supramolecular forces like hydrogen bonding and π-π interactions, forming stable nanostructures. This study elucidates the renoprotective effects and mechanisms of SB and SD, and provides a novel approach for the development of TCM-based nanomedicines, highlighting the potential of nano-TCM in AKI treatment.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the relationship and impact of long-term budesonide treatment results and medication compliance of children with asthma in Shaoxing through multidisciplinary precision medication nursing led by clinical pharmacists. METHODS Randomized controlled trial design was adopted. Children with asthma admitted to Shaoxing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital from January 1, 2022 to December 1, 2022 were taken as the research objects. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 106 patients were selected to be included in the group, and randomly divided into intervention group(multidisciplinary precision care group led by pharmacists) and control group(conventional care group). Compared the differences of lung function, Morisky Children’s Medication Compliance Scale, IgE, eosinophil count, drug information satisfaction scale and medication belief scale between the two groups. RESULTS The lung function level, Morisky score, lgE, eosinophil count and medication compliance of the intervention group were significantly better than those of the control group, and the differences had statistical significance. CONCLUSION A multidisciplinary nursing team led by clinical pharmacists has significantly improved the clinical outcomes and medication compliance of children with asthma.

Aim To observe the mRNA expressions of cell cycle regulators at different time points during the hypertrophic process of H9 c2 rat cardiomyoctes in-duced by angiotensin Ⅱ stimulation.Methods H9c2 myocytes were stimulated with 1.0 μmol · L-1 angio-tensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ)for scheduled time.Cells were stained by Rhodamine labeled phalloidin and the cell area was measured by ImageJ software.mRNA expres-sion levels of cyclin B,D,E,cyclin dependent kinase (CDK)1,2,4,6,and CDK inhibitor p21 were de-termined by real-time PCR at different time points (0, 5,10,30 min,and 1,2,3,6,12,24,48 h).Re-sults H9 c2 cell size increased soon after stimulation of Ang Ⅱ;mRNA expressions of cyclin E,CDK4 and CDK2 all reached the peak at 5 min after stimulation of Ang Ⅱ;mRNA expression of cyclin D was increased dramatically at 10 min,followed by a decrease trend. However,the mRNA expression of cyclin B and CDK6 both showed two peaks,a p2 1 mRNA level was up to the peak at 30 min,and the expression was lowest at 3h.Although its expression increased gradually after 3h,p21 mRNA remained low level.Conclusion mRNA expression levels of the cell cycle regulators fluctuate and jointly facilitate the hypertrophic process of cardiomyocytes.

Objective To investigate the application value of interleukin-27 (IL-27) in the patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Methods A total of 208 ACS patients were enrolled in the study,including 76 acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients with ST elevation (STEMI),58 AMI patients with non-ST elevation (NSTEMI) and 74 unstable angina pectoris (UAP) patients.These patients were divided into single-vessel lesions,double-vessel lesions and three-vessel lesions groups,and 62 patients with chest pain syndrome (CPS) were selected as a control group.The plasma IL-27 levels of all patients were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and analyzed.Results The levels of plasma IL-27 (median[P25,P75]) in STEMI (308.64 [245.17,359.26] pg/mL),NSTEMI (256.88 [181.52,332.51] pg/mL) and UAP (218.12 [165.33,312.46] pg/mL) patients were significantly higher than that in CPS patients (100.66[68.98,228.86] pg/mL,P ＜ 0.01).The levels of plasma IL-27 in STEMI patients were significantly higher than that in NSTEMI and UAP patients (P ＜ 0.05).The positive rate of IL-27 in ACS patients with negative TnI was 54.24％ (32/59).The sensitivity and specificity of IL-27 in predicting ACS from chest pain patients were 80.29％and 58.06％,respectively.The levels of plasma IL-27 in the patients with three-vessel lesions were significantly higher than that with single-vessel lesions (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Plasma IL-27 levels in ACS patients increase obviously,which may be involved in the pathogenesis of ACS.IL-27 may be helpful for the diagnosis of ACS patients with negative TnI and the prediction of ACS state.

S-doxazosin, R-doxazosin and rac-doxazosin at 1 ?mol?L-1 antagonized the phenylephrine-induced contractile responses competitively in the dorsal detrusor strips, and their pKB values were 7.44?0.19, 7.39?0.14 and 7.38?0.30, respectively. Three pKB values of doxazosin and its enantiomers were not significantly different from each other. Electric field stimulation produced a steady contractile response that was completely inhibited by tetrodotoxin at 0.3 ?mol?L-1. S-doxazosin, R-doxazosin and rac-doxazosin significantly inhibited the contractile responses to electric field stimulation in the dorsal detrusor strips of the rabbit urinary bladder(P0.05). However, S-doxazosin, R-doxazosin and rac-doxazosin did not affect the responses to electric field stimulation in the ventral detrusor strips. Conclusion The pKB value of S-doxazosin against phenylephrine-induced contraction via-adrenoceptors is same to R-doxazosin and rac-doxazosin, and the three agents are able to inhibit the adrenergic contraction induced by electric field stimulation in dorsal detrusor strips of the rabbit urinary bladder.
